Ive been here twice. The first poor service I thought, ok maybe they just had a bad day. The second left me thinking I will drive further for niceness. They are so rude and un helpful. The young kid the first time was nice despite not knowing how to do something. The woman barely spoke to me and acted like she was annoyed with me. I was just printing a label. The man this last time was so incredibly rude. I was shocked and could hardly reply at the way he was speaking to me. Instead of solving a problem by selling me a product, he said i should leave and read more carefully. It was so weird. I do not recommend this place if you want to be treated respectfully.
The staff is nice depending on who you get, and I generally find them helpful. But one time they said it cost $5 to print a single piece of paper (a shipping label). I was incredulous and the woman said “we are running a business.” It’s not their fault but it was still rude. I went to fedex, and FedEx printed it for FREE (since they only had one printer out front and I was in a rush), but otherwise it still would have cost much less than that.
This store is great. Last year, I needed a large number of boxes (~30) shipped from CO to CA - no money in it for them, but they helped me look for shippers and think about my options. More recently I shipped a huge family heirloom from Belmont across the country, they advised on packing and shipping, took the time to explain the process, helped with final packing and close-out, and kept track of it as it moved across the country to a successful delivery. Emil and Bhavna are terrific folks and Ive had only great experiences with them and their team. They have my highest recommendation!
Price gouging. Weird $5 card minimum. Mismanaged. The young people who work here are actually quite nice, but I wish they had better morals for their business and a better approach to management and customer service.
Rude Girl. I’m dropping off a package and explaining to the guy what I need for him to do, he was only trying to help and the girl cuts him off because there was only one other customer waiting. She rushed me out the store. If I’m waiting the other guy can wait until I’m done.
Fast and safe service
Great friendly staff, except for the manager. Just because people are not white doesnt mean you can look at them or treat them any less.
Everyone is helpful and friendly!
The store is great. They are friendly and responsive. Ive used their services for a couple of years and definitely recommend them.
I have been here a couple of times and the experience is consistently poor, unprofessional, and money-grabbing. Their attitude is as if we were forcing them to be in business. The first time I was there, the poor customer in front of me (who had an appointment for printing a few pages) was asked to pay an $8+ email fee because the PDF was on his phone and they did not have USB or another other cables to connect to the printer. $8+ for processing an email? They processed and then refused to take a package because they did not like the type of tape I used. Instead they wanted me to buy a whole role of their tape just for one package. The next time I was there, there was another customer who was struggling to lift a package to their scale. They made an unnecessary fuss of lifting a box and sending it on its way.Ive used many UPS Stores in many cities and states. This is by far the worst. My advise: go down the road the UPS Store at the other (i.e., 101) side of the Ralston Ave. It is MUCH better.
Super friendly and helpful family owned and operated store (new owners as of January 2019 so ignore older reviews). Contrary to a few other reviews posted here I’ve never seen long lines and am in the store at least three times a week. Owner is especially willing to go the extra mile and is quite knowledgeable and they offer a wide range of services. Recommended!
Incredibly welcoming & helpful! Went out of their way to assist me in finding the least costly way to send my packages in time for Christmas! I have definitely found my new UPS!
I have always had a smooth and curtious experience with this family run business that needs some slack during this current public challenge. Here’s a tip: Come prepared with all you need so that you don’t hold people up.
I just paid 70 cents each for postcard stamps at Carlmont UPS which only cost 35 cents at the post office. Maybe making the extra trip 1 mile away to the Belmont Post Office would be worth it! It is especially annoying is that is not 10% more or 25% more but 100% more!!!
The cashier named Bhavna said I could not have my emotional support animal in the store. I have constant panic attacks, depression, anxiety etc. Plus I was holding him the whole time. Very rude.
Whenever I come back to San Mateo I want to go back to this poke place. Seafood is fresh and with lot of choice. The place is organized. I went in weekday lunch time and there were lots of people waiting. Will recommend. The fish is with quality and is pretty consistent
UPS folks are super friendly and nice. The lines are never too long especially given how small Belmont is, the location is clean, everything is efficient and quick. I visited fedex once and it was horrible in comparison.
Service is slow if not brunch owner serves you. COVID policies change from person to person and contradict amazons policies
This is a family owned very small UPS store and most of the times there is only attendant so the lines are super long. The attendants seemed rude to me and there were inconsistencies in the information they each had about pricing/services provided. They also act rude to you on stuff like computer issues, printing labels.. but when you call them out on their behavior they will quickly succumb and start apologizing.. which to me is very weird. All in all if you just want to drop your package and get going.. I’d say sure 👍🏼
I had had a package lost in the mail, i drove myself all the way down to the ups store to try to understand what happened to my package. First of all they had an extremely long line there, after waiting 30 minutes until finally reaching the cashier, she was one of the rudest. She was more confused than me, had no idea how to help me from here, and was just overall not a pleasant person to speak to. Quite frustrating, not recommended.
Disgusting service.
Warm, Friendly. Might take a while when there is a long line but isnt that obvious!
The quality of service and the crew are outstanding.
This is my go to mailing/printing place. The staff is always friendly and efficient.
Terrible! Long lines, not enough staff. And the one person working there is inefficient and rude. Unlike any other UPS store I’ve been to.(And a response from the owner telling me how I’m wrong will not be necessary or appreciated).
Doesnt ever open on time. This is th second time and it isnt open until 9.15 while its supposed tove been open by 9! And who designs a store without a drop box!
If there was an option to go lower than 1 star i wouldve gone for minus 5only because these people are super rude and weird . They wont help you if you are dropping regular shipments in fact they start feeling bad about it . i wanted to print a label and this person not only made me buy a TAPE to stick the label to the box they were rude about it .
Staff not knowledgeable about full range of services. Key staff who knows about full services is often ‘out’. Tried to return Comcast and att equipment, was referred to one lady who had a long line. Asked a gentleman if he can help other customers with shipping st the lady is freed up, was asked to wait.
Very nice staff, great service
Too expensive!
Extremely friendly associates, fast and helpful.
Awesome help and communication
Nice
Go anywhere else but here. If you need to print a label they will charge you $5 service fee and then $0.30 to print it, then make you buy tape and do it yourself. This is ridiculous and the employee behind the counter was not helpful at all. So to be accurate regarding the fees: with the cheapest tape being $4.99 that means ($5.00 + $0.30 + $4.99) $10.29+tax to send a package that already has a pre-paid label. I care very little about the actual $10 - it is just the principal of it - like having to pay extra for the key after you have already bought the car. I went to another store that printed and affixed the label for free.
