I’m staying at the hotel just down the street the Clarion hotel, clerk said food was good. Walked over only half a block... Wow, it was busy there. Food was great, had the patty melt, ate it in the bar area. Sweet waitress said a lot of the locals hang out here. Although they were busy I got my food in a very reasonable amount of time and it was perfect. Definitely will come back here again.
Alice was a great server. She recommended the Chilaquiles. Im so glad she did. It was so good. The cook did a fantastic job. Decent prices and great food and service. Highly recommend!! (Above was from 8 months ago)We had Cathy today and we still give five stars!!! Excellent food and service!!! I dont know how this place finds all the personality but Im glad they do. Hope to see you on our next trip to Cali.
Mid-century modern lovers rejoice! Retro charm and great food combine to make this 1964 diner our choice for a hearty breakfast in Blythe. One highlight was their unusually thick, perfectly prepared and tasty bacon. Be sure to check out the equally cool lounge in the back with MCM period-appropriate, comfy circular booths, rock walls and lighting. For happy hour, we enjoyed the excellent house Bloody Mary, which the waitress said theyve been making for 30 years according to their own recipe. We didnt try lunch or dinner, but locals assured us theyre equally good. Theres always next time.
Stopped in for coffee and a quick breakfast before we moved on with our trip. No one really greetes us when we came in, but it wasnt busy, so we figured we would seat ourselves. Not a minute later, one of the girls brought us some menus. Our order was taken fairly quickly, and was cooked quickly as well. We had pancakes and home fries, and they were both good. Nothing crazy, but the pancakes tasted like fresh pancakes and the fries were pretty well fried. Coffee was good too.The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Honestly, it almost feels like youre a regular, even if you have never set foot in Blythe.Of course i forgot to take pictures of the food, but i got the menu!
I go to Blythe once a year, I eat here every night. That should be enough. The menu is extensive and the food is fantastic. Everybody works there is down to earth and awesome. I cant recommend it enough, just dont go when Im going cuz I dont want a long wait.
Great service, local place. Ordered corn beef hash which was deep fried, never had seen a patty of deep fried hash, it was not good, my eggs were cooked perfectly and sour dough toast was good but a little too toasted for me. Hubby had eggs and hamburger patty, which was good. We did enjoy our meal and would stop in again.
Great little place did what they could to fit us in without. a booking on a weekend. great food and service
What a joy to find a restaurant this good in Blythe! It was recommended by the desk clerk at our hotel and he was spot on. Excellent food, good selection, great drinks and friendly staff. Id spend the night in Blythe again just to go back to this restaurant.
From out of town and stumbled upon this gem. The salsa wasnt even asked for but thankfully they just give it to you because it was soooo fresh and delicious! You could literally taste every ingredient...like the waitress said fresh is better! We wondered what Blythe had to offer and we found it! Staff was amazing too!
Great little restaurant with hometown feel. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Good home cooked food. Quick service, reasonable prices. Sure beats fast food! Close to the highway.
As travelers we rely on reviews to stop at places. This coffee shop had some pretty good reviews so we figured it would live up to them. As we walked through the door I felt an immediate liking to the old school diner feel. It was busy so I overlooked the fact that no one greeted us. We waited a while and our group of four decided to sit at the bar. A couple came in shortly after and were seated immediately. Sad. All of our meals were delivered to us separately so eating as a group was not an option. I was served last as my crew watched me eat. Our waitress tried her best to keep up but it seemed the cook was not keeping up. The eggs were not cooked to a over medium even after kindly sending them back so it seems my experience here has been a bust. I’m only hoping this day was a fluke. It’s a really cool place. Thanks to our waitress Erica for doing her absolute best. She’s a peach.
I have been here to eat twice. Each time the food was great and the service was super! I like eating at small town diners and this is one of the last I know of! If you are passing through, stop on in!
Obviously a popular place for the locals. The food was decent. I had an omelette (I requested egg white, that was questionable). The shrimp salad was delicious! And they will cook to order.
I love the vintage architecture and interior. Perfect stop for a road trip. Friendly staff and good grub. Will come again.
We enjoyed our meal very much. The staff was very attentive ...and pleasant. The ambience was the best part. We were driving through last year. This year we changed our overnight plans and will be staying one night. Looking forward to enjoying a couple meals there!
How is this place rated high?Very run down place. Menus look 50 yrs old Super slow service and not attentive. There is a sign that says wait to be seated. So I followed instructions and some guy just walks in ahead and passes us by.. and I guess he knows the waitress and sat at a table with his family. Place needs to be upgraded everywhere.
I have gone 3 times in 6 months; the first two times great service and great food. This last time we arrived on Saturday about 4 pm on Dec 15. We were waited on right away but then that was it.. No one came to check on us and the food was not as good as Ive had it before. We were there for a bit over 2 hrs. The last hr was waiting to be waited on.. When we got up to use the restroom is when the server said she had to give us the check! Even though she walked by several times before hand, what ever conversation she was having with other employees towards the front of the counter was more important than the customers. And the chocolate cake was the driest thing Ive ever had!!I was very disappointed. In the whole experience and was embarrassed as I brought a friend and raved about the place... (she wanted to go to sizzlers)! But because of the two other times I had amazing service and delicious food, I will be back again and why I gave 4 stars... But if I see that same staff I will not stay...
Great hospitality - asked if were could watch the world cup soccer finals and they opened the bar area for us for breakfast. And the food was superb too! The chorizo plate was not too spicy but had excellent flavor.
Serve great breakfast, sandwiches also very good.Mexican food is delicious, shrimp burrito cant be beat. Overall great place to eat. Local town meeting place. You run into your lifetime friends.Service is great. All waitresses are friendly and accommodating. If you dont see it on menu, ask. Most important its clean and has handicap restroom. I highly recommend it.Five star definitely.
The parking lot was full, so I stopped. I was not disappointed, great food and service. Friendly atmosphere.
Best Fajitas you will ever have, coffee was excellent and service was friendly. We always try and stop there when we are coming through, hands down our favorite spot.
Great little place to grab a bite to eat while coming back from the desert. Service was not friendly but it was quick. They could probably tell we were not regulars. The regulars were provided with great service. But recommend anyway.
We had breakfast here this morning. While I was happy with the food and service I was quite annoyed when she told us they do offer military and senior discounts AFTER she already rang us up. She didnt even give us a chance to ask before running to another register to ring us up. I asked if she could adjust the ticket and she said no. She said it was a new system and she didnt know how. If that was the case she should have asked someone how to do it rather than have us leave unhappy. As seniors with only a social security income, its appreciated when discounts are offered. We shouldnt have had to ask, though. My husband had his veterans hat on PLUS we were both OBVIOUSLY seniors. Not a happy camper.
As far as food in Blythe goes this place is definitely one of the better places to eat. An old diner with a couple of new TVs put on the wall, it doesnt look much on the inside but dont let the decor mislead you, good eats and better coffee! Just what a diner should be like. Cool little place
Sweet staff, nice diner/Dennys atmosphere but more personable. Open when we needed it. Good price. I would come again.
Walked in and 4 waitresses in a BS session by cash register. A couple look at me but never acknowledge me. After a few minutes I seated myself. After getting my food and several more BS sessions among the waitresses I had to ask for silverware. They should really pay attention to their job and save the gossip and chit chat huddles for after work.Dont sit by the front if you dont like loud hollering and the cook yelling out orders. Most use a bell for order up. Minnie mouse was the worst, constant high pitch hollering across the restaurant.Food was good but I wont be back due to service issues and the atmosphere.
GREAT food. I had a breakfast burrito with fresh salsa and i mean fresh. Its an oldwe dinner but dont let that influence your choice. Food is out fast its a comfy feel and service is great. Much better than the same old fast food places.
Love the dinner we went back for breakfast ! the main guy cook and his help are fantastic! Loved our waitress Linda!!!
Blew through town on Taco Tuesday, and had some of the best tacos Ive ever had. And of course, its one of the few places in town with a full liquor license... margarita in one hand, taco in the other! If youre in luck, Dominique is working and youll be well taken care of.
Good place to have diner Food! I think they serve everything . I had fried tacos and a steak dinner. It was pretty good for diner, and the price was cheap ! P.s. Remember its a American Diner have fun.
Good food but also costly. A side order of bacon was $5.99. Ridiculous
First time Ive ever been there. The Mexican food is awesome. Real deal and huge portions
They have the best Chilli Relleno dinner! And the service is excellent!
We eat here a good bit and the food is almost always great. Staff is always friendly. Water taste bad but that is town problem. Would highly recommend it.
Decent food, great service. Not a bad place to stop for breakfast if youre in Blythe.
Great old school counter style restaurant. Great service and attitudes, guys in the kitchen joking and having a great time with the waitresses. Standard fare food and good coffee.
A hometown favorite! Friendly waiters, good food and drinks in the lounge. My breakfast favorite is the chorizo and eggs. Their refried beans are amazing!
The food and service are the best. Ribs were the special and cooked to perfection! Will definitely eat here again!
We were very pleased. The prices were good, the menu had sufficient variety that I had to debate which item I preferred. The service was outstanding; our waitress was friendly and attentve. The food was good:I ordered a large salad - the variety of ingredients was more extensive than I expected considering the price. My husband had a steak sandwich and was pleased at how tender it was in addition to being cooked to his request. The facility is aging and resembles the chain restaurants of the 70s, but it was clean and comfortable.
This restaurant has been a favorite for our family. The service is good and the food is great, but what really makes this our place is the waitress. They are kind and alway ready to serve with a smile. Sure there are times we have to wait a little longer but its ALWAYS worth it. Great job Courtesy resturant.
The waitress that wheres the glasses needs a raise and a higher position she a really good waitress
Great breakfast burrito, the coffee wasnt so good though.
It was fair .. order was wring... twice... pancakes were wet no fluff... asked for food well done but it came straight from the farm... was not bad but nothing stood out to make me want to come back.
Friendly service. Gluten free foods! They try to cater to allergies. Tell the server.
Food was dry and gross potatoes but the mixed drinks were good
Great spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner - and nice people too!
This place is a diamond in the rough, well kept, its like traveling in time back to the 50s. The bar is awesome too. If you are going to Cali from Arizona is a good place to grab a bite
Nice little joint, friendly folks, had the chicken fried steak, was tender and made by hand, the veggies were a California blend by birdseye cooked in the microwave, the mashed potatoes were homemade with a blend of instant and were cold, the lounge was closed for my visit.. not a bad little place.. for a Sunday meal..
Not courteous at all. Mean, frustrated and angry staff (can’t be asked for a menu; gave up and left after waitress was rude).
Best ever Mexican Food. Fresh and tasty . I wish we lived closer but just passing through. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They also offer Amercian food and homemade dessert also. Differently worth the visit.
We love this place! If she wants Mexican food, but hes feeling a really good burger then this is your place. They treat you like family and are fairly price. Good food, great service!
Despite its unassuming look, this place has really tasty food, very well prepared and served by people who still care about the customer. I stop in only once a year as I pass through, but the food is always good. Has been for the past 20 years. I will be back.
Grat food and great service. Love this place.
I felt like I was in a movie from t he 70s -- this place is so retro! The people were nice and the food was good. Id go back if I were going through town again.
Google says it’s open, get with the program update your google listing. Drove out of my way to come here, just to find out they were closed till further notice.
This is the most unfriendly place I visited in the whole world. I sat at a table for more than 15 minutes no one even came to the table. There were may be 10 patrons, two servers (who made eye contacts a few times). There were guests who came in were attended to (some were greeted by name). When I got up and informed them that I had waited more than 15 days and that they were not busy (busy chatting), they just looked at me, did not express any effect, on the contrary gave body language that if you dont like leave. I left. This is a small town, a small coffee shop I guess I should not expect too much.As a note my travels take me through Blythe CA few times over the last five years and I had previous visit to this restaurant without any issues.
Small family restaurant. Have been coming here for a very long time. Food and service never disappoint. Always excited to stop here to eat when Im in town.
I likes it. But when you oder a medium rare steak, it means medium rare. Thy service could be better, but overall it was a nice coffee shop.
I ordered a Spanish Omelette and. was very disappointed in its presention and taste. The thick glob of tomatoe paste with sliced peppers that did not have a seared taste was unappealing. We ordered a small orange juice and tomatoe juice that came in a large glass; that serving size is unhealthy and unnecessary. The server was pleasant and busy.
Stopped in for lunch on our way to Phoenix. Checked reviews for restaurants in the are and Courtesy Coffee Shop had very good to excellent ratings and we agree. Food is very good and the service (Sylvia) was outstanding.
Ordered the pork chops. They tasted old and stale. Couldnt eat them. Coffee served in very small cups. Waitress too busy to give refills. Seats in booth all tore up and taped over with duct tape. No padding, uncomfortable. This place is sad and pathetic. Will NEVER return.
Great little dinner, good food and very friendly staff. Portions are large.
Yes good food and good service. Good drinks too...
This nostalgic 1964 restaurant is a true hidden gem in the desert. Im so happy I stumbled upon it on my way to Phoenix. Loved the atmosphere, the food, and the waitress.
Mexican food is outstanding. Red and green chili is very delicious and got to meet Panchita, the cook who made it. Service is excellent. Will be back!!
Awesome food exceptionally great service very clean very friendly highly recommend going there
Dont let the exterior fool.you, great food! Courteous staff!
This is our go to place for breakfast. Had a bad experience when the 1st reopened and must say they have fixed any problems they had in the past and we are so glad we gave them a 2nd chance. Great food and great service.
I havent been to Courtesy in a while my family wanted to go to lunch so Courtesy is where we decided to eat and I have to say I ordered the Shrimp taco lunch special and everything from the lunch surveil down to their salsa was amazing..I will definitely be going back. Also the waitresses were on their Job... You ladies rock 💪
Ive never had a problem here with this place theyve always had top-notch food. I drove back at night from California with my family and stopped in. when I ordered the chicken fried steak it had no breading on it. So I figured they made a mistake and I sent it back. The waitress and the cook went back and forth about thats how non frozen chicken fried steak is made with no breading. they gave it back to me still with no breading on it. What they should have done was say we do not bread our chicken fried steak here would you like to have something else? After I got it back the second time they say thats how non-frozen chicken fried steak is made, with no breading. Pretty upset so I left a 5% tip.
Cool inside burgers good beers cold
Nice service, full diner menu. Had breakfast there and it was good.
Moved here a few months ago and this quickly became my go-to spot. Great food, great drinks and an even greater staff!
Passing through Blythe we never expected to find anything as good as this. The food was very good, and plentiful. The place was very clean, including the BR. Did not expect much and was very positively surprised.
Very courteous staff and laid back atmosphere
Staff friendly but not up too know whats out at the Bar and in the kitchen, chips and salsa took about 50 min to get because they are being made sweet but 50 minutes later chips a cold not even a fresh crunch. After waitress stated chips are being made fresh. I guess a party of 3 doesnt compare to a party of 5 . But we customers should me treated the same with Courtesy as it states in the name of the coffee shop. Waitress should be more informed or even try to Express or sell food items that dont even sell for dinner items. Or even get an idea from other customers that have tried dinner breakfast or even lunch items on the menu if its good or not even ask whats their favorite. Bar should be stocked with the common spirts like Jack Daniels or even Gentleman Jack just to give a Example. Over all fix that those issue so new Comers can enjoy a good meal.
This diner has the home town feel with the home cooked food. I would most definelty recommend anyone driving through Blythe to stop and have their ribs.
Its a cool place to eat n socialise with fam food n service is great
Great food, drinks, and service with a 😃 new fave place
This place is amazing! Little dim from the outside but inside feels like Ive been coming here for years-cozy and sincere-Also the best dang chilaquiles Ive ever had. Also, very sweet service. Excellent alternative to my usual sbux caddy corner.
Best restaurant in blythe hands down. Clean great service! Kills steaks and cakes!
