My experience this morning was Absolutely Wonderful. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp dinner because Im not a big breakfast eater and it was Delicious. It came with Texas toast, a Big chef salad, baked potato, green beans, and 2 fried mushrooms. I enjoyed the environment and Customer Service was Perfect. Thank you STEAKS AND CAKES, ILL BE BACK SOON

The place is so cozy. Love all the old signs and memorabilia! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and very attentive. Her smile and great service is what gave this place such a at home feeling. Definitely ask for Anne shes the best!🍻🥂⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As a class a tractor trailer operator I seek out the Mom and pops in every town I go through just so that I get stopped and have some good food take a break.If its not good, I would just pass on reviewing it.But the food was so bad at this place...But I just had to stop other people from going there.Every single food item was bad including the salad.Perhaps they do a decent breakfast.But it has earned the title in my opinion of absolutely, hands down..... Without a doubtThe certainly worst place I have ever eaten in the United States of America.Its unfortunate that I have to rate it with one star.Theres no place on the planet that I have ever eaten.. that includes my meals in the military and various Islands on the Pacific.Dont let the alright staff and the semi cleanliness of the place for you.When you see the old tractors out front........ burn rubber out of life altogether if you want to eat decent food.The casinos in Indy or far better or go to Phoenix

Driving thru Blythe and looking for a local restaurant for lunch. Found this place on Google map. Got their prime rib and eggs special for $13. The prime rib was a one inch thick full size cut, medium rare and the taste rivaled Lawry’s. Should have taken a photo. The service was also great.

I was happy to see that Stakes n Cakes is now open . We like the cozy atmosphere here. Serving portions are a good size . The waitress was very nice.

Made a quick lunch stop here on a Friday after seeing it on our route. Waitresses were very friendly and gave us some recommendations for cheeseburgers that were spot on. Fries were hot and fresh. Wish we could have stayed for the cobbler. 10/10 would return if Im ever out this way again. Thank you Steaks n Cakes!

I will never eat here again. The worst food ever. They have dont have any supplies or food. I had to change my order three times because they didnt have it. I ordered a Patty melt. It was literally toast with cheese and a bloody hamburger patty. I have lived here all my life. And will never eat there again.

What a great place for breakfast!Blythe has an Albertsons, a couple of motels, a medicinal dispensary being installed, and this restaurant.Filled with locals, most headed to the CO River to fish.Even saw a new Ford Bronco in the parking lot!Excellent staff and food.

Happened upon this gem after 13 hours and 800 miles in the saddles of our motorcycles. He had a ham and cheese omelette that he couldnt finish, and I had the small cheeseburger that hit the spot. The fries were just how I love: crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside..I hope the locals know how lucky they are too have a place like this in their midst.

We took over the backroom for a family reunion. Grant, Megan and their staff provided exceptional service and the prime rib was absolutely delicious. Well be back again very soon.

Steaks n Cakes is on the corner of Intake Blvd. When visiting the river we always stop in for breakfast in the morning and dinner on the way home.Nothing fancy..however the food and service is good. While waiting for your meal there are some pretty interesting books at every table..lots of humor is added and I like it..as well as some of the cool signs hanging on the wall....one of favorites is, People worry about stuff that 99% of the time wont even happen 🙆If you are coming through town stop by and give them a try.

Too bad about the right wing Fox News blasting on a wide screen. It made the otherwise nice experience infuriating. Indeed, they had a friendly atmosphere served by wholesome, reasonably priced food. It would have been nice to have had a neutral TV Show instead of one that supports wingnut right wing conspiracy theories (anti Vax, stolen elections etc.) blasting over our head. I dont think that Id have customers subjected to my political opinions in my restaurant by playing non stop Democracy Now. .... Oh, maybe I would... :)

Ive been waiting for what feels like years for this place to reopen, I planned my route so I could be here for breakfast this morning, biscuits and gravy, very good, scrambled eggs, also good, the pancake, well, half the bottom was burned and you couldnt cut through it with a fork, $20 for biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs on top, ok, I told the waitress about it, and she just took it, dumped it in the trash without saying a word, not until I was walking out and reiterated that the pancake was awful did I get a distracted halfway sorry without her even looking my direction. Oh well, I guess my expectations were just too high.It was, I wrote the review while still in the parking lot. 1st Aug. 2021 0630 (ish)

Great spot for breakfast among the Blythe locals. If you like metal signs with sayings on them, you are in for a treat. Interestingly, the womens restroom was labeled the screw room, not sure what that is about.

Visited for the first time after coming back from AZ. The service was slow and they served the completely wrong dish to our family multiple times. When we received our food, the fries were cold and still frozen on the inside. One the burgers had a moldy bun also. When it came time to pay it took a while for their cc system to process and they asked if had cash.

They were good at do our orders the service was nice

The place is quaint and the decor cool for a small highway stop. The locals seem to really like it. The food was mediocre at best. Instant patties for the hamburgers and that fake cheese product that comes in cellophane wrapped slices. Even my omelette was full of that fake cheese. The prices were decent and the staff friendly.

Are you kidding me there is no words to describe this place...,🤗 It was a place recommend to me and family ( ma & pops) by the the local resident a young lady whos running a gas station call E-Z Mart in the town of blythe Ca let me and my family were looking for somewhere to eat this books recommended Steaks & Cakes so we hopped on the freeway and get off on the next exit when you first look it looks like a tractor place because of the tractors in front. has we went in, it was a nice cozy little diner warm welcoming funny little signs across the walls and nicest waitress I have ever met because you dont get them in the City like that thank you mistress waitress anyway if you ever driving from California to Arizona, Arizona California and if youre in the small community of Blythe stop at Steak and cakes order anyting. food will never be the same for you.,🤩🤩😋😋😋😋

This is clearly one of the most pleasant restaurants in the neighborhood. Whenever I go there I am deeply satisfied. They hold their high standard service and the highest level of cooking they give. You will be always satisfied with this place. Warmly recommended.

Home town hang out....

Good burger. Darn good. Perfect bun, meat and cheese, perfect bacon and good fresh produce. Just all around A+. Ranch dressing was fantastic. Both husband and I were very happy with our orders. Better than some expensive chain burger places at a very good price. Service was fast, friendly and exactly as it should be. If we lived closer, we’d be regulars for sure.

A local dump. Good if you have standards below the dirt. Starving on the drive to ca- but it turned out I should have stayed hungry for another hour to get a decent meal. I just want to forget it ever happened and for this place to close down.Service was okay but the food was terrible. I thought I would stop here and support a local business, instead I ended up supporting a local dump. I’ve never lost my appetite while eating before this.The worst food I’ve ever had. It doesnt look like much but the food is very tasty. So good I made a special trip just to go back. Waitresses were attentive and friendly but the busy atmosphere keeps them moving quickly. This place has the perfect greasy spoon family diner vibe and the food to match. Parking a bit of a mess, and its not in the best section of town, but dont let that deter you. Exactly what you want for good eats on a road trip.

Wow, excellent place to eat! When I travel, I prefer mom&pop restaurants (forget the chain restaurants). Meagan was my server, and she was great! Amazing service and food. I had the steak and eggs, cooked to perfection! The sourdough toast tasted homemade. If you are driving between Phoenix and LA on I10, stop in Blythe, CA and eat at Steaks n Cakes, you wont be disappointed! GREAT JOB!

Very cute little place. The food was very good and filling. The waitress was attentive with out shivering. It was quiet and quaint. Very lovely and relaxing after and very long day. The cream of broccoli soup was the best.

Had ham and cheese omlet, shared and was plenty of food. Tasted great! Service was excellent. Coffee was really good. They only have Pepsi products, so if youre looking for a diet Coke, plan an additional stop. Prices were good. Staff worked well as a team. They all pitched in on each others tables. Steaks N Cakes will be added for our future trips from CA to AZ.

If visiting Blythe CA, this restaurant is one that the locals frequent. The food is mediocre, but prices are reasonable. Be prepared to wait some time for your food as the cook is rather slow in getting out the orders.

Great service. Friendly staff. Good food. It was the Lions Club annual steak dinner for $10. It was so good. There were six of us and we all loved the way our steaks were cooked! Well worth the price!

Waitress was lovely place was random

We were on our way home from Disneyland when we stopped here. Everyone was tired and 4 out of 5 were coming down with the flu. Menu was full of comfort food and the waitress was so accommodating. We will definitely eat there again if we are in that vicinity.
