This place was MIND BLOWING. Prepare at least an hour or prepare for more than one trip. It has SO MUCH. Everything from highly collectible editions to simple trade paperbacks. You name it, it is highly likely they have it. Incredible and a MUST for book lovers.

The staff were super helpful and suggested services to help me. Have been using them for 20yrs now (different stages of my education). Love the new BIGGER location too.

I went by to buy a backpack, and the store was closed, but the clerk seen me at the door, and said come in and see what you like. Very courteous.

Another 1st time experience. An impressive collection of books from cooking, criminal/mystery to sci-fi. They are still putting out books, unpacking them from their move.

Honestly a really clean and welcoming place. It has a nice layout and a very homely feeling, like you would feel going into your local library. The person that helped me purchase the time seemed to be having a rough day but other than that everyone was else was really amazing.

Such an accommodating and helpful place!! Have been buying/renting books here for years. The staff is always friendly and available to answer any questions you might have. They point you in the right direction and have lots of patience. Sue in particular has been one of my favorites and I highly recommend visiting. *Major bonus* this place considers your wallet...👍🏽

I ordered a book at 4:08pm and received an update with a tracking number at 4:14pm. This is amazing service. I have ordered several textbooks from Booksmart in the last year and have always experienced amazing customer service. The staff is amazing and the prices are fair. Thanks again.

I always appreciate the customer service, and the availability of the books. Unfortunately for those who take online classes and dont live nearby, they offer shipping for books, but we have to bring it back to this location. There is no book drop offered so it has to be during business hours. This makes it nearly impossible for those who have FT jobs. I now have to pay more and buy my books elsewhere.

Have been here twice and called once, and each time attitudes are at an all time high. Everytime you ask an employee a legitimate question, its met with unhelpful sarcasm and unnessecary comments. Not too sure why the need to be so rude considering this is a service based business. Save yourself some dignity and spend a little more money at the FAU bookstore.

Customer service is a tad bit brisk, but worth it for the prices. Talking about prices, everything is quite cheap (compared to official college bookstores). Would definitely recommend. Theres apparel and supplies sold here for better prices too.

The staff there is very helpful and always polite. If you go during a busy time there can be a pretty long line but it always moves pretty quickly. The bookstore provides books at expensive prices but its still a lot cheaper then the options on FAU Campus or buying it direct though.

Had a really good time it was the first time me and my kids been we went to a birthday party the host was very good helpful I would recommend this place to anyone come as a family come for your kids party or just come to have a good time thanks Marlayna you were amazing .

Booksmart is the way to go for cheap books for your classes instead of your local on campus book store or the internet. Very easy.

I really needed help and Jay Sloan was MORE than nice about assisting me. I explained that I usually use the Lake Worth office and they had already closed. He was able to help me over the phone and did not ask me to drive to Boca to be helped. I am 8 and a half months pregnant so he has no clue how wonderful this was!! Thank you Jay.

Nice place just the one guy gave off bad vibes and just out offish. He wouldnt told me I had to go all the way to Lake Worth to get my textbook because they didnt have it. Ends up he could have ordered it from the bookstore in lake worth to be delivered there, but decided not to tell me instead. (my mom later called and talked with someone else and got it taken care of). some people are just lazy

They don’t support EMS or the military. When I asked if they have a fire department, EMT, or military discount they told me with a ton of attitude to go to the FAU bookstore and pay more. A simple no would have sufficed, but the lady looked at me like I asked for the blood of her first born. Terrible people in need of attitude adjustment. Maybe they’re just upset because they didn’t go to college...?

This store is awful. This is the second day in a row that I drove from Davie to Boca to pick up my text book and they were closed before 6pm.I saw two employees standing inside and they refused to even come to the door. I’ve already paid for my book online and now I can’t even collect it.You’re better off ordering online from McGraw Hill than dealing with this bookstore. Complete waste of time.

RATED F BY THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU FOR A REASON!! Horrible customer service and rude employees. Policy re: renting used books not explained clearly at all. I found out the hard way that if you dont bring back your rented book on time and ultimately decide to keep it, not only will you be charged the full price of the rental, they will also charge you the full purchase price of the book, I called to inquire about it after they charged my credit card. I asked for a manager and some guy named ERIC said I can help you. I was very polite, did not get angry or say anything nasty. Thanked him for explaining it to me. As Im hanging up the phone, ERIC says to me Im sorry you didnt listen. I was flabbergasted. Really? Not sorry for the misunderstanding or sorry it wasnt explained well, but Im sorry YOU DIDNT LISTEN.??? Wow! I will never step foot in that place again. Dont they have any customer service training at all? You actually only need common sense for that one. But I guess Im not the only one with a bad experience based on the F rating from the BBB. Worst customer service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else or get your books online from Chegg or somewhere else.

Worried I would be late seeing as I had an hour long commute during rush hour, I made it there minutes before closing and was professionally greeted and checked out right away. I had a years worth of textbooks to sell and will definitely be back next semester!

Prices are great, however do not plan on returning anything you buy from here. I purchased a textbook after the “return date” and found out that I no longer needed it. I didn’t open it or touch it at all. I took it back to the store and they would not let me return it since it is passed the return date. They offered to buy it for $40.. about $80 less than what I bought it for a week ago. What an insult.

Great place to get books and materials for a cheaper price. Especially if you are a Palm Beach State College or FAU student. Has a wide selection of books and materials. It also has FAU merchandise which is a nice touch.

If you want to be sold a broken iclicker and when you go back to buy a new one, and are told even though its after the return date, theyll take it back (since it was BROKEN!), only to return and have them tell theres no way theyll take it back now, then this is the place to go! I talked to someone on the phone from booksmart 8/27 (the last return date was 8/23) and he guaranteed that if I brought the broken iclicker in with the registration paper and order number, I would get a full refund. I made sure to ask since I did buy it used- and he said itll be all good to go. One hurricane later (on 9/5) and I head into the shop to return it, and I get rudely turned away because the return date was 8/23. I get that was the return date, but dont tell me a whole different story on the phone. Complete waste of time and money. ($100 dollars for iclickers) Id rather spend an extra $3 on textbooks from the fau bookstore and deal with competent people. Long time customer from 2012 and no never going back.

The employees at this location are very friendly and pleasant. Ive been attending FAU for almost three years now, and Ive only ever gotten my books from this store. Finding and checking out/buying books is always a simple process, and I love that when the semester is up, I can sell back my purchased books. Theyre way cheaper than the on campus book store, by the way. :)

They are always very nice, and will tell you straight whether you may or may not need the book, or to check back later. Getting cash for goods is also seamless.

They are very helpful. All you need is your term schedule printed. They will get all the material you need for your class.You can rent, but use or new books here.

It is the worst place to buy books in this city. There are no guarantees, students are not taken into account and the service is bad ... In addition, the prices are high, taking into account the target market. One star is too much for them!!!

This store can be very helpful and friendly at times or they can be very demeaning and rude to customers. So I guess it depends on what your buying and the person you go to but most times they act like you are bothering them which is very unprofessional . But I will give them 2 stars because books are usually cheaper than FAU book stores but if you want to be treated with more respect dont go here .

I ordered my books online. When I got the email that said to go pick them up I went and when I asked for my books they said my order wasnt ready. I showed them the email and he barely looked at the email before he told me that it wasnt the right message, that they send a different message for pick up. I asked to speak to two people, both of whom were rude and acted like they didnt know why I was wasting their time, before deciding that I guess I was wrong. When I never heard back from them it was already 2 weeks into the semester and I didnt have most of my books and access codes. When I went back to asked what was the deal the person I talked to this time was very nice when I showed her the email she was surprised because she told me that my order has been ready for a long time and that the email was the right email. I was worried waiting for 2 weeks for this stupid email that I had already gone to the store with.

Make sure to check your Simnet website to compare price to booksmarts price! Overall store is great amd offers best price for physical books. The staff calls you if youve made a mistake or purchased redundent items.

Same owners as Bookwise, serving primarily FAU students who dont want to get stiffed at the campus bookstore. Radically different atmosphere than Bookwise, which is heavy on antiquarian material. Booksmart is owned by David Wolf who is arguably the most experienced purveyor of textbooks alive. He is absolutely tops in his knowledge of mathematical, scientific, and medical publishing. His knowledge of the publishing landscape is second to none. Very smart in moving the business from across Glades Road to 20th Street for the convenience of students.

Shout out Jay, Chris, Ben, thays, Feagans & Sue for being some of the coolest and best workers ever assembled. Kid at the end was legendary...dont know what happened to him though .

I had the worst and most embarrassing experience. I went to return a book with the same card I used previous. I purchased the book without using a PIN number and have used this card for a year ect, returned items ect, without the pin. I was told I was lying about it, like why would I want to lie about something stupid. And then lectured by someone five years younger then me about how a debit card works. Which is ridiculous if you purchase and item without using a pin then you should be able to return likewise. Then after going on and on about it and the staff being completely ignorant and rude. Finally, they tried again and it took 30 seconds to return the book. I know it’s Boca, the land of rude people, but I will never go there again and have been since it opened. Rude staff and lazy. Wanting to pick a fight because the some of the staff didn’t know how to use their system properly.In regards to the blatant lies that you are writing. No one called the book keeper ect on the phone that book was returned under the same card with a credit action as it was purshased. And if you had some concern of people using a card with a different name maybe you should have required the pin when the book was purchased. Yes being called a liar does make one irate especially when they are told it’s their problem. Now I am going to report you to the better buisness bureau as well. Purchase books online people it’s cheaper and you don’t have to deal with ignorance!

Rented a book there and they charged me $50 for damage on the spine. 5 minutes later, they called me back saying they accidently forgot to give it back to me because it was mine now since it was damaged. I drove back and they only offered me $20 to sell the book back. They wouldnt give me my $50 back for a book I technically owned. Avoid this place and youre better off going to the FAU bookstore.

I strongly recommend that you get your books through FAU bookstore, the publisher, or through another source because this place has the worst customer service ever.
