I brought in a quart of paint that was left at our house when we bought it. SW brand but a satin finish. I used for touch up work and the color is right just too shinny. I asked if they could do it in a flat which is the finish on the walls. They’d need an actual sample from the wall to determine the base/finish/etc. I brought them three. The first two were too small for their color match machine. Okay fine that’s my fault. Third sample and eureka! I bring it home to do some touch up on a few walls. The color is much too dark. I look at the can they mixed and it’s not the same color at all. I return to the store to ask them for the correct color - Anew Grey - in the flat. Not their fault they say. They tell me that they can’t guarantee touch up ever and that I shouldn’t expect it and that now all I can do is buy a whole gallon of the corrected color and paint the entire wall. They’d be happy to give me 50% off on the new gallon (all they have in stock, no quart size, again not their fault again). I ask to speak to the manager who finally says “I’ll just give you the gallon it’s fine.” Like I’m asking so much for them to correct their mistake. And then again, he can’t guarantee their won’t be a noticeable difference between the wall I now have to paint and the other three in the room.So my question - Sherwin Williams - is as a paint store what exactly can you guarantee if not your paint!? That your drop cloths are top notch.Two stars because they finally kind of tried to make it right by just giving me the upgraded size since the quart was out of stock.

This was one of the worst experiences in customer service I have ever had. They did not have an online order ready nor did they order the online order because they were out of stock, although their inventory online showed they could have filled a partial order. The lady at the front counter was rude, abraisive, and full of excuses. When you have an upset customer I expect, I am so sorry maam, let me find you those supplies at another store. NOT, Well there is nothing I can do about it right now, but you can go to Federal Way if you want to. And then she proceeds to yell over the paint mixing area with more excuses!NOW MAPLE VALLEY on the other hand was amazing!! They were really able to turn that order around and will be getting our business from now on!

I painted my kitchen, mud room and dining room with satin finish super paint. Great paint and I got the finish I expected. Not at all glossy, but did have a sheen or a glow to it. So to paint our living room, we went back and got 2 more gallons of the satin in a different color. I painted a wall and let it dry. But this time, the finish was somewhere between a semi-gloss and gloss. I could see my reflection in it. I took the paint back and showed a picture of the wall which look like it had auto paint on it. I was told that I was wrong about satin not being glossy and if I waited long enough, it would flatten out. I asked why it wasn’t glossy in the other rooms I painted. He then let me know there are no returns. I told him I understood, told him to keep the paint and bought 2 more gallons of some paint that was one step above a flat finish. Wish me luck. I giving 2 stars because they give me the “sale price” on the new paint.

You go here expecting top tier knowledge, you pay the premium price expecting to get it.... but they fail over and over.My wife and I took a paint swatch from their samples and had a quart made.. perfect match and great color.Had 5 gallons made but it was much darker. Had a gallon made, still wrong. A local paint pro was there and with his input had another gallon made and it worked.. but only after making it a custom color... the paint chip formula didnt work with their high end paintsEmployees and Manager made us feel we were at fault even saying the quart samples are not the same paint.I originally purchased the 5 gallons on their 30% sale but a week later when we finally got the color right they said they would not honor the price, I had to request the Distict Managers contact information, only then did they honor the price.I will try a different pro company next..😩

Young but very knowledgeable staff. Hunter and Tristen helped me pick out the grade and type of interior paint as well as giving me good advice on repainting our deck; Ill make a point of going back in when they are working. The quality of Sherwin Williams is just plain better than then what you get at Depot or Lowes and SW has great sales all the time.

Came in to get some paint and couldnt remember what finish the paint color was. The representative assisting me wasnt helpful. She just named off different paint colors and finishes from my record. Got home and it was the wrong one. I let her know it was the last purchase of Pure White that I had made.

If your prices were more competitive with the big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot.

I have used the Bonney lake, Covington, kent, Auburn, and tukwilla stores, and they are all great! But the Bonney lake store is my favorite, they know the products, and have helped me out with recommendations, which is a totally different experience than with the box stores where sometimes the sales people dont even know what all they have in stock available for sale.I Love the quality of Shermans finishes, even the contractors and mid grade stuff covers and works great. Never a worry about how a custom color match turns out. They also have good quality tools - which really do make a difference! Thanks again,!!

They were unable to match the color of stain I was looking for, even pointing out the specific color as an example. It was like they werent even listening, or colorblind, or something. And I couldnt get any tint at all to go onto my wood sample. I finally just got my money back. Thats why I rated a 5 instead of a 1.
