Absolutely wonderful! my experience is always above and beyond at Alpine EC. I originally saw Dr. Beatty when I was living in Boulder and then moved to South Denver, BUT I decided to continue seeing him and make the that drive because it 100% worth it and Im pretty sure I wont find a place where i feel more comfortable and really taken care of! Could not recommend him more!!

Had to get eye exam—doctor had state of the art eye exam equipment. Was neat to see the details of my eyes!! Have experienced high pressure eye glasses places many times before, here there was no pushing or pressure. That won my business!! Picked out fantastic frames and had incredible glasses in a week. Totally high quality in every way possible. Personal service at its finest!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The receptionist is professional, warm, and welcoming. Dr. Beatty is an amazing optometrist, I felt fully secure and confident in his care. He took the time to answer all my questions and explain lots of things. The office is so nice! I got contacts but there was a great selection of really nice frames. Now the best part- there is an absolutely awesome dog 🐕 in the office!! Ignore all negative reviews this is such a great place for eye care.

Dr. Beatty is an exceptionally skilled and engaged Optometrist. He is honest and forthright, and never forces or pushes expensive options for contacts/glasses like some of the big chain optometry centers do. I feel so comfortable and confident knowing my care is individualized and comprehensive. He also proactively helped advocate for me to get more competitive pricing through increased insurance coverage on my contact lenses, which was such a gift. I have already referred my family and friends here and highly recommend it to anyone reading this. No cons- just a smooth, competent, and pleasant experience all the way around!

This was my first time at Alpine Eyecare Center. What an amazing experience! Dr. Chuck Beatty was incredibly thorough and walked me step by step through the the exam. This eye center uses best-in-class technology to ensure a speedy and educational exam. Dr. Beatty provided me with a variety of contact lens to test before committing to a lens - far more samples than I have received in my 20 years of getting lenses. I will continue with this practice for as long as I stay in Colorado - thanks for a great experience!

This place is horrible with insurance. Their website says they take my insurance but they are trying to say they dont because the title is abbreviated on their website. I have good insurance with little out of pocket pay and they try to get more money. The first time I went here I had an issue with insurance because of their wrong input of billing code but my insurance did end up paying once the billing code was fixed, second time I fixed my insurance to their region and ensured that it would be covered but they cancelled my appointment anyways. If you have good insurance with low copays dont even try going here. Way to lose customers! Looks like Im not the only person with issues with this place with insurance.

Love their glasses selection and have used them for a few years. However, I have never experienced an owner of a business being rude because the product was faulty. The owner made it seem like it was my fault that one of the lenses was not right. Unfortunately, this business lost what had been a loyal customer. One doesnt spend 1000 in a place of business to be treated the way I was treated. Time to find another eyeglass place, unfortunately.

Great place. My eye exam didnt feel rushed but very thorough and the Dr was happy to explain any questions I had. He also advised on the best contact lenses for my price range, and has since sent me multiple trials to find exactly the right fit. Am glad to have found Alpine Eye Care!

Great experience here. Doctor provided an insightful, thorough examination, in a friendly manner in which i could tell he actually cared about my eye health. He made sure I was happy with my new prescription by providing me a couple brands of sample to try.Calling back to order contacts the receptionist was friendly, easy to work with, and quick with getting an order going for me while also passing some rebates along my way. Overall great experience and plan on coming back!

After using Costco and Target Optical for many years, I found Alpine Eyecare and Im never going back. I had so many communication/glasses issues with both Costco and Target and with Alpine I feel right at home. The front desk staff and doctor are incredible, super accommodating, and friendly. Its been such a simple process to get glasses and contacts from there, and I look forward to seeing the (CUTEST) dog in the office as well every time I visit. Cannot recommend enough!

The worst eyecare ever.he had to send my glasses back to the factory 4 times...andthey are still wrong and they are doing nothing about it. I feel ripped off. What way to treat a veteran!!!!!!

Visited this practice today for the first time. I found a very modern, clean and spacious environment. An excellent start! The lady who took my details was a real pleasure to work with: kind and professional. Dr Beatty was everything I would ever hope for with an optician. I am very happy with Alpine. Today was an exam followed by a change of lenses in my existing frames. Absolutely no over-sell, just thoughtful, practical advice and suggestions. If there were 6 stars, thats what I would be clicking on!

Check your insurance coverage! My 20 year old daughter went in for an exam today. I told my daughter to make sure that they accepted our insurance, VSP. She was told they did. When she went in, they took my insurance information, but they failed to tell her that she was not eligible for an exam until August 1st, so she was charged $125 for an exam, that would have been covered for a small co-pay in six weeks. They did not even have the courtesy to call me, just texted me that She told us that she would use her HSA card to pay for her glasses and exam. She paid for her exam with her credit card. A self-pay exam is $125.00. She was told this and approved this at the time of her appt. If they would have been transparent, and told her that her exam would have been covered in six weeks, she could have rescheduled with them.

Dr. Beatty was genuine and thorough. Never felt pressured like I was in a sales pitch. The office itself is clean and the staff were wonderful!

I recently saw Dr. Beatty because I was having problems even getting my previous doctor in town to answer the phone when I was trying to schedule my annual checkup. No trouble scheduling my appointment and getting in, and after going over my history, Chuck took the time to explain to me specifically why he thought I might do better with a different type of contact lens and sent me home with a few pairs to try. The difference was night and day! My eyes are so much more comfortable now; in the 25 years Ive been wearing contact lenses this was the first time someone actually took the time to explain to me the differences between the different types of lenses available and what to expect and I really appreciated it. Having easy parking was great, and the cute office pup was the icing on the cake.

Couldnt ask for a better eyecare spot. Quick and helpful and knowledgeable. Even when i was just coming in for an eye exam or a glasses adjustment, everyone at Alpine was awesome at being friendly and being thorough. Plus, you support vets by shopping there. Were new to the area and Im glad that we found the place that our family will be going to from here on out.

Dr. Beatty is very professional and easy to work with. I tend to get nervous in any physicians office, but his manner and method of explaining things made the visit very easy. He was very helpful in explaining the procedures and what the testing results meant, and provided excellent direction for maintaining my vision. I highly recommend his office and am quite satisfied to have him as my optometrist.

After what seemed like a thorough exam, Dr. Beatty misdiagnosed me. He stated I had dry eye and astigmatism, and gave a detailed explanation of how my dry eye was the cause of my symptoms. After a couple of months of therapy for dry eye with no resolve, I contacted the office again, and basically had to walk in to get around the receptionist who didnt seem to think I needed a followup exam when Id called in. Dr. Beatty has a friendly demeanor, and was willing to talk to me again about my symptoms, but this time he said my issue was the astigmatism and not the dry eye - which he clearly stated was the issue on the first visit. I took his word for it, ordered prescription glasses, the glasses did absolutely nothing for the vision issues I was having, and once again the receptionist basically ran defense, stating there was no reason to be seen again and that its normal for there to be an adjustment period of up to several weeks for new glasses. I ended up going to another optometrist who immediately noticed I had cataracts, and also said the prescription Dr. Beatty gave me was far too strong.I contacted Alpine Eyecare after being diagnosed with cataracts, and that it was the reason Dr. Beattys prescription was not helping - and did so in a very neutral tone - but never heard a word from Dr. Beatty or his receptionist .

My exam was very thorough and I appreciated how he took the time to give me detailed explanations each step of the way, while also actively listening to my concerns and symptoms. Hes extremely knowledgable and patient. He offered me a series of reasonable treatment options that I felt matched my needs very well. Im so glad I chose Alpine Eyecare Center!

His office there is easy to get to, comfortable, and well-appointed. Could not recommend Alpine Eye Care more highly.

What wonderful service!After 2 eye doctors (one for 12 years), inaccurate prescriptions, being rushed in/out, pressure to buy frames/contacts that I didnt want/need, having to call and prove those contacts I ordered werent delivered(and having to wait almost 3 weeks for them), being signed up for appointments I didnt agree to, and Drs getting fired, I finally struck gold!!!My husband and I were in Boulder to buy glasses at Warby Parker when he realized his prescription had expired. Not wanting this to be a wasted trip (we drove from Denver) we searched for optometrist near us so he can get a new prescription. We chose Alpine Eyecare based on proximity and the great reviews. He was so impressed with the service that I decided to come back for my yearly exam.The receptionist was polite and knowledgeable, she helped with pricing and insurance. Dr Beatty is a true professional. The Dr has the latest in tech (didnt have to do that test that blows air into the eye, he has something better) and knows his stuff. He gave me detailed info on Lasik (per my request) and knows a lot about insurance (how to use it and what advantages their are). He did the standard tests but was thorough and explained what each test was for and why its being done. He took his time with the eye exam and didnt rush me for an answer. I never felt pressured to buy anything and was never asked to upgrade tests. At the end of my appointment, I paid for for my exam and contacts (which will be delivered to my home) and saw that the pricing was great (very competitive). Like I said, I drove an hour from Denver and will gladly do so again next year!

I have been extremely happy with Dr. Beatty. I have keratoconus (eye-disease that shapes my cornea like a cone). About 10 years ago I went to several eye doctors who diagnosed me and then tried and failed to supply me correct glasses, and then lenses. After several appts and a good bit of money wasted, I still didnt have proper vision. I was so off-put by the whole process Ive gone the better part of the last 10 years with limited/poor vision. This obviously affected my life greatly. I didnt even realize how much until I went to see Dr. Beatty. He was very patient and spent a lot of time with my discussing my disease, solutions and possible remedies for my eye sight. We ordered lenses and...I CAN SEE! It has changed my life. Now I can drive at night. I can read menus in restaurants. And I see how dirty my carpet really is! :) I never feel rushed during appts, and when I occasionally lose a lens, Dr. Beattys office always works quickly to get me a new one and get my eyesight back to me quickly! 5 Stars, I couldnt recommend more.

I have been a Registered Nurse for 35 years and dont give recommendations lightly. This one I give whole heartedly! Anne at the front desk is very caring and personable. Dr. Beatty is knowledgable AND kind hearted. They both make you feel like your eye care needs are the most important. I never felt rushed and would trust them to care for any member of my family. This is a fun and refreshing addition to Boulder. GOOD WORK!

Im a veteran and had to use a VA voucher for glasses this year. So I checked out local eyecare places who would take the voucher. I had a prescription. Alpine was the best I could find: Doctor Beatty, a very friendly fellow, took alot of time with me explaining quality and the various options I had. I ended up with everything: all the coatings, high quality lens, and flexible frame. When I offered to get two pair (one on my dime) he offered me a great deal. He then led me around the office showing me his high tech exam instruments and how he performs an exam, which was much more detailed than what I was getting locally for the past 20 years. Ill probably move my eye care to Alpine. He also moved quickly to get the order completed. Im real happy with the result.
