I went in for an eye exam for a new eyeglass prescription. The staff was short, but were still very quick and extremely polite. When I made it to the exam room it was a very short wait for the doctor to arrive. He was quick and pleasant to talk to. I chose my new frames and was fitted quickly. Ill keep coming back here. The staff were amazing.
Very professional, they know how to work with your Insurance. My glasses were perfect the first time. Would definitely recommend them.
Went in for an eye exam in December 2020 and glasses were ordered for me, (or so I thought)...its now March 2021. Apparently the glasses were never even ordered. I spoke with staff a few times between Dec and now, and was assured the order was just late due to shipping issues related to Covid. Dont waste your time. I have NEVER experienced such shoddy, unprofessional service. Waste of time and money!
I ordered contacts to be mailed to my address. My contacts never came. I called in to ask about a replacement and they said I would have to purchase another box of contacts. Waste of $145. Dont go to this place. Very untrustworthy and shady staff.Update: After my mom called and asked for the manager/boss, they are now replacing my year of contacts. Definitely was frustrating but good to know they fixed my problem. Thank you.
The worst experience that I ever had. The VA assigned me to Visual Connection because staff was short at the VA. I got the referral from the VA and called these people to set up an appointment. The person on the phone set me up with an appointment, and mailed me paperwork to fill out. A week before my appointment, I asked to see if I could swing by to find the location and turn in the paperwork. I was told that was ok. The office was closed between 1200-1330. There were blanks because I did not understand the questions. I get there at 1330, and the door was locked. I wore a mask and followed social distancing protocols. Also, there was a black sheet covering the door from the inside. At 1335, the door was still locked and I called. They keep the door locked during business hours. You get let in, but the door is locked after entry. The person who opened the door was a heavy set blonde woman with lots of tattoos. I told her who I was that I needed help filling in the missing blanks. She said that I dont have an appointment. I told here I know, mine is the following week. I need help filling in the questions that I dont understand. She tells me that I have to fill these out outside. I tell her that I dont have a support to write this and I still need help to answer these questions. She shoves a clip board in my face and was getting ready to slam the door at me.. Just before, I go in and go straight to the counter. I again ask that I need help to fill out these questions. She banters back and forth about the appointment. She tells me how rude I was, and I told her that she was rude by shoving a clip board in my face. By this time I needed to use the rest room because of a medical condition. She said no, but another lady told me where it was. When I was done, I saw a man standing and thanked him, for the use of the rest room. I asked for help filling out the form. He was saying that I dont have an appointment, and I told him the same thing. He tells me to leave, and I told him that I am getting this ready for my appointment. He told me tht there will be no appointment that I will not be seen here or ever. He asked for my name . I said what I had to say and left. I contacted the VA and they set me up with another provider. I also gave a full account of what happened. I stressed that the way they treated me, I dont want to see that happen to another Veteran.
I arrived for my 8 am appointment that I scheduled almost 2 months ago. When I got there I called to check in and it went to voicemail. When I walked up to the door there was a sign that said “will call back to reschedule sorry for the inconvenience”. This is my only day off this week so I woke up early for this appt instead of sleeping in. They could’ve easily called and said they needed to reschedule the day before or anytime before I got there. Extremely frustrating!
Ver positive experience! I appreciate the COVID procures in place with phone check ins and cleaning all touch surfaces. I also appreciate them taking the time so I understood how the insurance covered my frames/lenses. Great selection of lenses.
All i gotta say is dont depend on these people. First off staff is pretty rude but the main reason is my glasses broke so I got an eye exam here because I needed a new prescription, and they gave me the complete wrong one!! I cant see at all through them they are way off, and now ill have to wait at lesdt 3 weeks for a new exam and 2 or more to get the new lenses in!! So im stuck unable to see. Ill never come here again smh
They fixed my glasses very fast and had good employees
Pull up, check-in by phone... Easy peasy
Our family has been going here for years! Dr. Is great with kids and has been always resolved any issue I have had with my contacts. Office is very helpful with insurance issues and getting you the best coverage. Selection of glasses is large but not as many trendy glasses as I would like. Still there is enough to were I am able to find something everytime. Noticed they gave the office/waiting room a face lift recently. Looks great! Recomend to friends regularly.
One start because When I picked out glasses they didn’t make sure they fit properly and I went back three times Bc then kept falling down on myNoseAnd the reason is because the arms are way to shortI trust them to be the professional and make sure they fitFor 350.00 they better make it right5 stars == very nice and the doctors did a wonderful job they only thing that will make me not go back is if they don’t trade my glasses for a pair that fit
Been going here for the last 18 years. I suppose that should be credit enough to how well they are.....😁😁😁I recommend👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The receptionists were very friendly and helpful with letting me know what was and wasnt covered under my insurance. The exam was quick and the doctor listened to my concerns and assisted me with the problems Ive been having with my eyes.
The front desk ladies were terrible customers service. It felt like a burden to them that we were there seeing the doctors. The front desk ladies had bad attitudes. Trying to get any assistant from these ladies were like trying to pull a tooth in the old days. No anesthetic just plain pliers. OUCH!!! The front desk really could use some training with insurances and plain old customer services skills. I would never come back to this place again.
Thank you, they help me with glasses for my kids with out side prescription in this pandemic time. Thank you.
I totally agree with Ashley! Their office personnel is super unfriendly and very incompetent. TRIPLE CHECK YOUR BILL!!!Will never go back there again! I had my annual exam but they couldnt do a couple of tests which are fully covered by my vision plan. So they re-scheduled me for an appointment 4 weeks later.I went back, they did all the tests, and the receptionist said I was all good to go. Left the office and 3 minutes later I receive a call from the lady that ran my tests letting me know, that I was supposed to pay for the visit. I got suspicious and told them to send me the bill. The bill came in and I almost had a heart-attack: $300 is what they wanted for my annual exam which is fully covered by my vision plan after I make a $20 co-payment.I called them and told them that my insurance covers all the cost after I make my co-payment, they said the person working on my case was not in and that she would give me a call back the next day. I called my insurance after that conversation told them the whole story, to which they were really surprised because the second visit was not showing in their system at all.She also told me that they cover the whole exam including all the tests, and I should only pay $20 for my co-payment.Well the next day I didnt receive a call back from Visual Connections, so I called back myself. Finally got a hold of the lady handling my case, explained her the whole thing and she said that my insurance doesnt cover those kind of tests ... I told her to send me an itemized bill to list all the costs, because on the bill you couldnt even see what they charged me for. She sent me an itemized bill right away on which I saw, that they charged me close to $100 for the 2nd visit, that they themselves had scheduled because they couldnt run the tests the first time in. She said that she would take that amount off.I told her again that my insurance would cover the rest, and she again said that my insurance doesnt cover those tests. Right after that call I got on the phone with the insurance company, and she called Visual Connections to let them personally know that they cover all costs. Long story short in the end I only had to pay my co-pay, but would I have not pushed back I would have paid them an extra $260!!! Now that is not small change ... As Ashley said before the doctors are great, BUT the office personnel is HORRIBLE!!!!
They are super inconvenient and dont pick up their phones
Everyone in this office was amazing! My daughter (who is 6) failed an eye exam & I couldnt find anywhere that would see her, because she is so young. The Visual Connection got her in the following day, the staff was amazing & now, with her new glasses, my daughter is loving the life she was missing out on!!!
I went first time to this place this past summer and bought reading glasses. When I picked up the glasses one of its arm cracked while being adjusted to fit on me. So, they told me that they have to order a replacement for it. I was out of town in August when they called me that it was ready. I told them that I will come in to get it when I get home. However, it was a busy summer and I did not get a chance to fetch it until today, Nov. 16. Well, I was told its been a while already so they sold the frame. I had already paid for it 3 months prior. I cannot believe it! They sold the item that I already paid for. I told the lady that they could have at least given me a call and ask if I am still getting it before selling it. No apologies made. This is quite outrageous! I dont think I will be coming back again.
Went in and they took really good care of me! I highly recommend them on top of they take state assisted insirance
I liked the doctor, but the staff... I felt like I was in a used car lot. The price for the glasses was ridiculous and when i asked for an itemized accounting of how it was priced out I got attitude. then I changed my mind when I was told it would be one to one and one half month before i could get the glasses. The guy was visually ticked off and - actually, without asking me, took their fake sunglasses and wrapped it on my face. I felt violated and was so shocked I couldnt respond.I will NEVER go back...
They are well organized and friendly. Great place and easy on the eyes
I went in there and I was hit with the hello how are you can I help you bug It was great. Super friendly, great prices I recommend it to anyone looking for new glasses
I give them 1 star only because my daughter she has to wait 1 month before she get her new glasses. I’m never comeback here anymore...
The building looks old and dated, but thats my only negative! Office staff were all exceptionally friendly and Dr. Whitemarsh was very friendly and knowledgable explained everything to me very well. I recommend this place!
The lazy old man running the place has no curiosity or integrity. Avoid. He will not help you.
My whole family is cared for here. They are kind courteous and always do what they can to help.
Thank you, thank you.
Gave me expired contact lenses from 2015. Last time they gave me my contacts and had the left and right stickers backwards. I thought my eye site was just getting worse! Told me the brand of contacts I was wearing for 15 years were being discontinued and I got ahold of the company and they said it wasn’t true. I go somewhere else now and they checked my eyes and turns out the prescription I had from the visual connection was waaaay too strong for my eyes. I just got my eyes checked at the visual connection a few months ago. I’ve had terrible eye site since I was 10 so I know my eyes don’t drastically get better over a few months. The customer service was great. Everyone seemed really nice but it seems like the communication is off.
Renee had a great experience here. Nice people.
This is the worst place Ive ever had an eye exam or looked for glasses. The staff at the front desk is very holier than tho and actually told me it was my fault THEY gave me bad info. Save your money and go someplace else
I was hesitant because of previous reviews but they were great! Super helpful and friendly staff.
Highly recommended! 👍
Stop sending me text messages! You tried to screw me over once, and I am not coming back! Horrible service, tried to overcharge me. Dishonest Office personell, outdated equipment, ancient testing methods. I would give -10 stars if that was an option!
The staff is very friendly and helpful!
Very freindly staff.
Save money & stress.Unfriendly, assuming, haughty staff.Never going back
Doctors are great, staff is amazing.
Doctor is super kind and funny
