I have to go here to pay my rent. Im a pretty clean cut 51 yrs. old male. I generally have a great attitude and am happy 99% of the time. But the gray haired ladies working there should probably not be working there. Ive been paying rent and shopping there for a year now. They carded me to pay my rent. With an attitude. She double looked at me and my ID to see if I was lying. Then I was kind of followed around the store while shopping. I bought a fifth of rum and some groceries. She carded me again taking a double check to see if I was lying. While leaving I said to have a nice day. Hope it gets better for you. She responded with a sarcastic Thank you. I dont get it. They acted like I got sprayed by a skunk almost. Did nothing to deserve that treatment. But I still have to go here to pay my rent. It isnt right.
Always clean and willing to help.
Love this store. Its a mini-Hannaford since its got Hannaford generic items as well as Hannaford specialty/deli stuff. Super-convenient from Eddington, where I just moved to. The staff is super-friendly and helpful.
Fantastic local store with great employees that go above and beyond. I showed up after the store was closed (new hours due to covid) the employee working went to the aisle and brought me back childrens Motrin as my baby had a fever and allowed me to purchase, the store had probably been closed for 15-20 minutes. Very helpful and thoughtful.
Great store! Very convenient if you live in the neighborhood. They have all the basics and a bit more. Been shopping here for years AND there’s a bar next door!
The feel of a small town market in a city. The staff are always friendly and willing to help if you need it. This store is clean and prices are average, rarely more than any of the large grocery chains. The store is small with easy access for a quick item, but they have everything you need on a big shopping list. Highly recommended!
I love shopping at this grocery store. I live right in Brewer so its very convenient to my home, the people there are friendly and helpful and its small enough that you can get in and out very quickly. The only complaint that I would have would be that they dont have the selection and they do not have a fish department that some of the larger stores may have. But this is always my first choice in grocery shopping.
I go out of my way to shop here as this store has the friendliest staff and best customer service anywhere !!. Speedy chckout.
Great little neighborhood super market. For a smaller store, they carry a good variety. The service is friendly, you see the same people and the progress are as good as the bigger stores. What is not to like?
Very nice and clean, well stocked, no self check out a plus. Courteous cashier and a person actually bagged my purchases. Had everything I needed to buy.
Paradis is perfect. Funny personable staff. Always great for weekly or quick trip shopping.
I usually shop there but tonight I experienced plenty of staff on hand but unfortunately I ended up having to bag my own groceries to keep the flow going. Not impressed 😒
Store just opened. Got in and out quickly with my small purchase. Best checkouts around..almost always enough open so no long line.
Love this small grocery store. Never over packed in and out and people are grea t
They have the feel of family. So pleasant to have staff who remember you and are ready to assist a customer with all of their needs. If they do not have a grocery item, they will get it.
Love this store! Shop N Save is small store which is convient for me to get items quickly rather than walk long asile to get items.
Great place to pick up quick necessities. However, the variety and quantity is small for a Shop n Save. One thing disappointing is that they expect you to leave a backpack at the front desk. I would think they would have an issue with large over-the-shoulder, snap-shut handbags or multi-pocket jackets instead of something on ones back.
I have lived across this place for some time and they are great. expect a old town type store but with great service
A nice little store, much more relaxed shopping experience compared to Walmart and Hannaford.
Great quick stop grocery store. Carries Hannaford products. Remember me by name, and always polite.
We love to shop locally when possible. Paradis is our local store shop here all the time.
Really great place to shop. It is a little smaller. So not everything is carried. But great if you need a few things.
Friendly staff and good array of items. Convenient.
What a great store, still has the small town feel. Their own Paradis brands for spices are a fantastic deal!
I spent more money here because I was able to get products unavailable at walmart. Stopped carrying boveril, then campbells cream of onion, etc, etc. bread pudding was the last straw. No longer a customer
Very nice supermarket - very clean - great service !
It is a decent place, but nothing amazing. It has the appearance of being dirty, and basically a run down rural store. Service is good and selection is average.
Love this store. Always a convenient stop. Fast and friendly service.
Its a nice little place to shop. Just enough to get what you need.
Great store for quick shopping not all that impressed today I couldnt get any assistance and only found one kind of sauerkraut
Happy that they now offer pints of Spencers Ice Cream.
Its a smaller grocery store. Has plenty of parking and good service
Rather than going to super store, Paradis has just what you need😏
USE TO SHOP THERE ALL THE TIME.. WAS THERE ON JUNE 30.. WAS SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE LACK OF ITEMS.. NO BANANNAS OR HANNAFORD GREEK YOGURT ALMOST NO BREAD.. SAD..
Family-owned vibe for those who prefer a local grocery. Too dingy for those who prefer brightly lighted, spacious conglomerates.
Nice place, has everything I need and good employees.
Been shopping there for many years love the people and the product
Cleanest store Ive ever been at.
Very clean store. Great customer service!
If youre a colored person or have any type of diversity I suggest avoiding this grocery store.I live right down the road and have gone to this store on an as needed basis for 5 years. I want it to be known that this store has a backpack policy, one that I am well aware of and I abide to; out of respect and decency. As a civilized person should. I do leave my backpack with the front service when asked and even put it up front without being asked. I usually stop at this store on my way home from work. I carry a laptop case full with a laptop(most of the time), food, chargers, various types of paperwork, pens, harddrive, chargers, etc. Sometimes I have my backpack(a conversion bag, I can change it from a laptop case to a backback with straps) full of the same things. Still even when I put my bag upfront, many of the store clerks give me dirty looks(of what appears to be contempt) and follow me around the store.I have refused to write this review for a long time thinking I have better things to do. Also as a colored person that experiences subtle racism and discrimination by random people everywhere(which is a sad reality for any miniority) and have been called a dirty rotten commy n***er have been chased off the road by a man screaming and dont you ever bring your black ass round here and have been singled out numerous times for various things for 24 years, it didnt seem to make sense to give a bad review of an entire store based off a few of the stores clerks. But its gotten to the point where I am sick of being treated the way I have been. I have been there without a backpack many times and I still get followed around and given dirty looks. This isnt an opinion or over reaction, I have been going here for 5 years and have had some of the store clerks there express their apologies for the behaviors and actions of their co-workers.Look, this isnt a bad store and there are friendly, personable store clerks. But there are also store clerks there who exhibit behaviors directly correlative to discrimination and bigotry. The past five years going there as needed, needed being anywhere from once a week to three times a week has given me plenty of time to figure out who is which of those. Please understand I wear dress coats, blue jeans that fit with a belt, button-ups, and usually a sweatshirt. I work within the community for non-profits and have for the past 4 years both in two different fields including being a mental health professional. I actively volunteer with organizations to help those in our community. I can go on but the point I am trying to make is I dont even fit the stereotype to discriminate against and even if I did, no one should have to experience this. I am colored though. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs but in a professional field, being treated poorly is distasteful. I am sick of being treated like a criminal or as if I am sub-human. So to those that are are different in any manner beware. Here are two people to look out for a Caucasian male, early to late 40s or 50s, top-head bald with grey patches of hair on the side of his head, wide glasses with a black frames approximately 59 and 160 lbs. This man follows me everytime I am in the store, once he stopped me at the entrance, raised his voice at me, have his face go beet red while he clenched his teeth and fists, not asking but demanding that I leave my bag with thr service clerk, as I do, everytime they have asked. This man will stand at the end of the aisle I am in, pretend to organize things while poking his head around and staring at me briefly. He does this during my entire visit, im almist every asile, everytime. Whatever his reasoning or culture be, it is unprofessional and even some of his co-workers acknowledge his behaviors as discrimination. There is also a Caucasian female, early 20s, blonde hair, slim glasses with a black frame, approximately 170-220 lbs who will also stare at me in contempt. The type of contempt with hate and judgement. If you want further information feel free to email me.
Love this store, looks beautiful as you enter, staff very helpful
This store has management that discriminates. I havent been disrespected and humiliated publicly like that in my 35 years of life. Im a veteran and despite having worn my issued field jacket clearly displaying my 101st Airborne Division patches on both sides and the American flag on my right shoulder, I was judged and discriminated immediately at the front door by a manager who was insinuating that I was a potential thief because I had a beard, and dreadlocks, and maybe it was my skin tone that was colored just enough to make her feel uncomfortable, or the addition of the Indian scarf on (not Muslim, I just needed something warm for my neck, as I had just walked a mile in the snow on unplowed sidewalked to shop for food), all because I had a backpack on strapped securely to my back, clasped firmly and visibly in the front. Completely inaccessible to me under any circumstances other than me having to completely unfastening and removing the back entirely off of my back in order to sneak items into (pretty obvious). Yet I was asked to remove and leave my bag up front as I shopped at their convince. I replied respectfully, stating that I did in fact mind, because it was my bag with my personal items in it like my phone and wallet and it was secured on my back, inaccessible. She said that did matter and pressed me more to remove and leave my bag. I stood my ground and pointed out how bias that was considering how many other patrons were walking about the same establishment carrying bags, purses, and totes under their arms completely accessible and their wasnt any alarm of fuss about them having a bag on their person. Remind you I just walked a mile in the snow to spend my hard earned money on food I needed, and was only going to be able to carry what I could fit in my bag and carry in my arms. She continued to hold her position and I kindly told her at that point (picking my battles like a war hardened soldier knows to do) that she had just lost my business and that I would have no issues with walking through the snow 2 miles now in the other direction to shop at another establishment who didnt discriminate people based on their appearance or gender. I hope shes able to see the error in her judgement and finds it in her heart to not be so intolerant of others and take a more mindful approach to things that trigger her impulse to discriminate. I nor my friends or family will be returning with any of our business at this establishment from here on, as we do not support intolerance and judgement.
