Went in to ask how to print a document from an email. The 2 guys behind the counter could take a few refresher courses in customer service.I sent the email to the printer, but never received the authorization email back to print. It would be nice if those working this department had a clue.I left frustrated and without my documents.
Placed an online order at approximately 4:00pm on 7/6/20. Made sure item was in stock, waited for confirmation email that item was “ready for pickup” and headed to the store (43 minute drive). Arrived to find store empty except for one customer at checkout. Was ignored for 3 minutes by employee in Online Pickup section. Once gaining his attention he says with extreme disgust “ can I help you sir?” Explain my reason for visiting and he walked away not saying a word to me. He walks to checkout area to talk to cashier and is in no hurry. He walks back across front of store, past me and heads for rear of store. I ask sarcastically, “are you going to assist me or just continue to ignore me?” The elderly male staff shouts back “I have to get a scanner.” I loudly tell him to get a manager while he’s at it. He returns, enters the work area and proceeds to fiddle with the scanner for at least 4 minutes with not a word. I ask what he is doing, why it’s taking so long and where is the manager? He gets on intercom and rudely says “I need a manager up here because a customer wants to complain about me.” Up comes the manager who is non chalant and low energy. I explain the fact that this man is rude, untrained and clearly in need of assistance. The mgr states he has to scan the package and it’s a new process. When challenged he stated that the item isn’t paid for until it’s scanned. I showed him a charge on my credit card made two hours prior by Staples and asked if I cud take my package. At this point the employee and a angry and tossed the scanner stating “ I can’t log on.” I asked if I could take my item and the manager starts explaining that the item was shipped from another store???? I said, no it wasn’t I ordered it 45 minutes ago and drive here to get it. Terrible customer service, incompetent and rude staff and a condescending and inexperienced manager. Won’t be back will wait two days for Amazon to deliver!!!!!!
I called this location prior to entering to ensure they wore able to take documents that needed to be shredded and I was assured they would have someone help me. I informed the associate on the line that I was at the location and I would be right in. When I entered the location I was told I needed to wait almost 20 minutes for a associate to get to work. During times like these where it is vital to limit our interactions I feel this was unnecessary and could have easily been prevented. I will be going to other locations with a different company moving forward.
Dalton was AMAZING needed a computer ASAP for school and he got it all set up and ready in under 2 hours when it typically takes a day. Gave me amazing deals was honesty and was very clear when explaining everything because I am not a Tech person. Funny and was super personable. Carly the cashier was not so great on the other hand. She was rude pushy and texting in front of everyone interrupted to ask about her lunch. I would 100% go back there but most definetely ask to work with Dalton.
Came here for assistance on shipping a package through UPS in the store. Was helped immensely by Jay. Highly recommend coming here if you don’t know much about shipping!!!
This location is easy to find and they are perfect for small print jobs I have (like for a printable for my sons class or craft projects Im working on). Once I had little cards printed out for treats to stick in to and they turned out too flimsy. When I returned to show them, they redid the job for me on a heavier stock and they did it right away! The new card stock was much better and the project turned out great!Another time I needed stickers printed because it was turning out wrong and I brought in my own sticker paper. The clerk helped me understand why I was having trouble - I bought the ink jet paper and I have a laser printer! (rookie mistake) Anyway, she showed me to the sticker paper they had in store and I was able to buy it and get the job printed before I left.Aside from print jobs, I think the most valuable service they have is that they can process USPS shipments (& UPS) in store! I LOVE that! Its closer to me than the post office, and typically MUCH faster! Plus parking is easy compared to the down town post office! I definitely use Staples more now than I ever have before!
Had some good sales for basic office supplies. The cashier was friendly and helpful. He pointed out a sale I missed on paper. Saved me $20
I have been to Staples 3 times in the last month to buy two different laptops and all 3 times was told that the display model I was interested in wasnt in stock. We stopped in Saturday, they said they had none of the display models, they were switching that day to the newest models, to come back Sunday. We were told they just got a big shipment. So Sunday evening when we went, found the HP that I liked, sorry sir, we dont have that model in stock. Last trip to Staples I make
Lina was so helpful. Every little thing we needed changed she went above and beyond for us. Amazing!!
Im normally a pretty funny guy but whenever i walk into this store the smile falls right off my face when i see the prices
Update: the package I dropped off was lost. No one knows where it is. No one is taking credit for loosing it either. So disappointed.
I rarely use Staples because I find it a bit expensive for what I need. Went in today for school supplies and found some on sale.I also went in to use the copier but didnt bring cash so went to the counter....and waited for 5 minutes. Once the employee arrived it was quick as I needed only 2 copies. There is a fair amount of office supplies and tech merchandise, but probably not for the serious techy or gamer.Aside from the wait at the counter for my two copies it was a smooth shopping experience.
This place always seems to have what I need. The employees are very competent.
Do not bring your phone to Staples for repair. They charged me $106 for an iphone 6S screen replacement, and in replacing the screen, they broke the cable to my home button. So, they returned my phone with a new screen but no home button. The tech made the excuse that the phone had previously been opened to replace a battery. Hes a kid but they have already trained him to disavow responsibility for his shoddy work, instead of just stepping up and admitting he broke it. If you need an iPhone fixed, go to Game Box in Topsham. Tony put in a new home button in fifteen minutes for twenty bucks. He showed me what the Staples tech had done - he had ripped the ribbon off the home button, and left it in there, broken.
Random associate answered the phone, so I asked for the copy & print center. Instead of saying she could help, she just reiterated her generic greeting. So I bit the bullet and asked if she knew if the center printed 3.5x5 or if 3x5 as the standard photo smaller than the 4x6, as they print specific sizes with their software. The girl tried to explain to me that 3.5x5 was BIGGER than a 4x6 and asked if I wanted a price. I said no, I just wanted to know if its 3 or 3.5 that is the standard size. She said shed ask the copy center and put me on hold. After 5 minutes I hung up. Just say the center is busy and ask me to call back later. Not make someone who didnt pass elementary math put me on hold out of immature frustration. Worst service ever.
Only place we in the area to purchase laptop. One salesperson was very informative. Once we decided which laptop we wanted, I approached the counter and asked another salesperson to grab the laptop for me. He then told me it would cost another 4 to 500.00 to add all programs, backup, etc. I must have told him five times, after he kept trying to sell me products and drill me, that I just want the computer. He then was rude to me. I should have just walked out and drove to Portland to Best Buy. I never encountered such an experience like this before. BUYER BEWARE!!!
The cashier was very friendly and helpful, fair prices, and the store is neat and tidy.
I found what I needed very quickly. I was in and out. My visit only lasted about 5-8 minutes.
In And out quickly. No waiting. Great.
I can get good prices on back to school
Awesome!! Staff was excellent, very helpful and quickly helped me to find what I needed to solve my problem. Very knowledgeable, and able to answer my bazillion questions!!
I am a graduate student and tried to print out course material to study while away from class (scientific papers from my course website, posted by my professors). I was told that they could not print papers directly from the Internet and that I would have to email the material to Staples so that they were sure that this was not a copyright violation. I wasted 20 minutes in their store (on my smart phone) getting the material into a form of which I could email to them. During these 20 minutes a woman at the copy center loudly discussed with coworkers how some stupid customers come in and try to print out books from their kindles and violate these copyrights. I ignored these incredibly rude comments despite being only 10 feet away. I was planning to just get the course work into an email and get out of there. I finally succeeded and when they received the message they still refused to print. I was just trying to get my homework done, but they were unfamiliar with things such as scientific journal articles as standard graduate school reading. These are papers purchased by my school, mailed to me by my professors and I have the right to print them! Most of all, it was entirely unnecessary to be condescending while I was standing right there and waste my time if you never planned to print them in the first place.
Great attention and products
Clerk was very friendly and helpful...
When a product isnt available, the empty boxes should be removed from the shelf so that one doesnt need to stand in checkout line for nothing.
Went in to buy compressed air to clean my keyboard. Somehow the straws got separated from the cans. The store manager went in back found 4 cans with straws and gave me the 4 for the price I was going to pay for the original 3.
Went to this store earlier this evening to have a single copy of a 1 page .pdf document printed and was told that they were too backed up with other jobs to help me and that I should try again tomorrow. I work in retail and this would never happen in my store, I was so stunned that I just walked out. Its doubtful that Ill find a reason to shop at this Staples again.
Rudest woman Ive ever spoken to over the phone. Terrible customer service.
Outstanding customer service.
Tech support, always helpful.
A typical Staples with computers office supplies and copy service.
Went in looking for a computer and came out with a new one.
There is not enough help in the copy area.
Was rudely dismissed by their copy center twice now. Not going back.
Good selection, apathetic service
Good selection, reasonable prices
Copiers slow, restroom filthy
Very helpful
If you need something in a hurry and cant wait for their sales, they will price match.
Cheap deals.
