Cathy was great so really like her job. Greeted us as soon as we got in. We told her what we wanted and she let us look around without shadowing us every step off the way. The sales people at Bobs very courteous knowledgeable inconsiderate. The salesperson that helped me and my wife. Her name is Kathy she was very helpful she tried to find what was looking for by using her computer. Needless to say found what we was looking for. And made sure that we can have it delivered before the holiday.

I worked with Saleswoman Cathy. Cathy was amazing. She greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. I told her what I was looking for and she directed me in the right direction and let me look around. She came and checked on me periodically which I appreciated. When I was ready she had me do a mattress test to see the different mattress options. I didn’t know I needed a mattress until after the test! The mattress we chose was amazing and I cannot wait until it comes. Cathy didn’t pressure me and she was upfront and honest about everything. I had a truly amazing experience and I highly recommend Bobs to anyone.

Bob furniture store is the worse company ever my experience with them I will never forget. I have been back and forth with this company I got damaged furniture then the store is ghetto. The manager at river oaks location is by far the worse if anyone ask me about this company I will send them somewhere with good quality furniture and good customer service

I urge anyone do not buy anything from this store I have been waiting on my furniture since May 19th of this year and still havent received my full set of furniture it still says that it will be here December 24th of this year and when I first purchased the furniture front room set they said it would be here in less than a month. This is the worst furniture store you ever want to deal with do not buy anything from this store they will waste your time and money and just keep giving excuses about a manufacturer when they should have told the customer this before they even purchase the items. Go to a Arab furniture store do not waste your money with Bobs furniture especially the one in Calumet City

Table I bought was great so I went back to buy a sectional and they wanted 300 in shipping prices. Thats 10 percent of what the bill would have been. I can understand 100 to 150 but to pay 300 is a deal breaker so they just lost a 3000 sale.... Its cool because I refuse to spend more on shipping because Im spending more in store. So I found another sectional that I shipping is 169 flat out and thats the highest I go. Trying to get me to pay 250 for the warranty and 300 for shipping is the cose of another add on to the sectional. So Ill spend it elsewhere

Best place to get your furnitures from. My mom always got furnitures from Bob’s Discount Furnitures and I purchased most of my furnitures for my new apartment from Bob’s. My time at Bob’s was make easy by Cathy. She made sure I was able to find the couch that fit my style. Great customer service!

I liked the range of products here and also the outlet section where the prices were really affordable. They carry ashley furniture as well and Jessie, our guy was able to provide us with quick summary and quotation. We tested their mattresses and if you have time, feel free to get any and all questions answered by their very knowledgeable staff! Do wear a mask and they do temperature checks for all customers as well. Happy furniture shopping!

They do not stand behind their product. Had a bed for 9 months and it broke. They only replaced one bed rail a month later. The bed broke off from the headboard and rail.Therefore I needed a new headboard and rail. The bed broke again four days layer. Now Im out of a bed. I will never shop here again. They will take your $, but wont honor warranty.

Never thought I would say this but I really liked this place. The furniture is ok, we bought a matress, bed, dresser, and chest of drawers, and adjustable base at a great price. The guy who helped us was named Alejandro? He didnt hound us. He was really helpful, answered all the questions we had. Really great guy and Bob had good prices. The delivery was on time quick and easy. Would buy from them again.

I must say this experience was great! I didnt know what to expect going in, but the sales woman Latoya Ellis made me feel very comfortable and was up front and honest about everything. She even gave me some references to discard my old sofa! I recommend going to Bobs Discount Furniture for whatever your home needs. If you are in the Chicagoland area, or surrounding suburbs I would highly recommend visiting their River Oaks store and ask for Latoya. I know you will be as satisfied as I am!

Where should I start, the customer service in the store was great!!! 5 stars. I paid for my sectional (the avenger) in full. Here’s where the problem begin. They stated delivery will be 7 days, 7 days turned into about 15 days (pre pandemic) when they arrived they delivered the wrong sectional wrong color just WRONG! I had to wait another 2 weeks before I received what I actually purchased. Fast forward a month later the motor on one of the armless recliner went out. Took them 3 weeks to send a tech out he stated I needed a new motor and it was ordered and should arrive to me in a week. IT’S BEEN 4 months now and customer service keeps giving a new date every time I call!!!!

Latoya was so nice and sweet! She helped so much and gave me hella information I ordered my couch and got the warranty! I recommend her if your looking to purchase!Only downside is due to COVID wait times are extended should be getting my couch in July. Today is may 4th

Mariah is a very detailed worker. She very knowledgeable about the merchandise I was interested in. She broke down in detail how and when my delivery would be ready. Also her warm personality makes me want to spend money. Bobs did a great job by hiring her.

I had went here a few times 0! stars!!! bt I had a warranty on my kids dresser. The guy there in 2018 didn’t not say it would be sooo many problems with a warranty..Now I waited over a weeek just to get a response. Just to ask more questions..so now my daughter is out of a dresser til they feel like if they going to give me one or not.they want all kinds of pictures and statements...when the whole point of a warranty is to COVER the problem.Whats the whole point of you paying more when you might not get nothing back....... Bt they didn’t telll me that either.when they asked me if I wanted a warranty. The problems with the warranty,They left that out too...

Terrible. To be honest, it has stressed me out so much that I didn’t even have time to write a review. But since having the wrong couch for 3 months now it makes me angry.I don’t know how their customer service was before the pandemic, but as of right now, it’s terrible. They purposely sold us the wrong couch. We never added it to our order at all. But it looked very similar to the couch we requested. When we informed them about it they said there’s nothing they could do and we had to wait for them to come and get it for 2-3 weeks. Then we called corporate. They pretty much told us we were lying, and said they have to check with the sales associate to see if what we were saying was even true. Once corporate called the actual store, the associates said he was out of town. It was said that he would be back Friday (2 days after our issue) and then changed that excuse to “he won’t be back for a week.”We knew our couch would have been delayed due to Covid and we agreed to waiting, however they did their own thing and sold us the one they had available right then so that they could have the money right away.Long story short, we were sold a couch we didn’t want, Bob’s NEVER tried to settle the issue with us, NEVER apologized, and now I’m stuck with a couch that is ugly and uncomfortable. I don’t know if all Bob’s are the same but this store is definitely not recommended.

My plan was to only purchase our basement recliners, but we have also ordered our dining set and living room set as well...all because of the experience that she provided. Due to COVID, delivery times are a bit wacky but she has been in contact weekly to keep us posted on delivery times. If you decide to shop at this location, do yourself a favor and ask for Cathy. Bobs Discount furniture in Merrillville, Indiana was great. Great customer service from Roslyn and awesome delivery. Months later I ordered from Bobs in River Oaks, customer service was okay, but delivery was not so professional.

I was shopping for a lot of furniture after a fire. I went her after visiting 4 other stores. I found things at other stores but the salespeople were a big turn off. Mario helped me, he was the best, he said he was available for any questions but he gave me my space. He didnt hover or push me into other items, when I did have a question he was very knowledgeable. I will recommend him to others and the prices were great, but it was Mario that tipped the scale.

As much as I love Bob furniture this pandemic has ruin everything. I paid for my furniture in full in November, and Im still waiting for a recliner, and my table set. Im so disappointed that this has been a long wait! Ive been very patient, and my patiences Is ruining out! Is anybody else experiencing delays like I am?

My experience at Bobs discount furniture was wonderful. The staff was courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. The ice cream, cookies, and coffee were too. 😍 By far my favorite part was spending time with Cathy, the TRULY mattress fitting lady. When Jeff, the lovely young man who helped me tremendously, told me I should meet with her, I thought, Oh no, more time spending here? Im tired and want to go home. When I finished with the other kind your man who, although he said his name several times while talking to my 4 year old grandson who was with me, his name escapes me, Cathy was waiting for me. She explained what she was going to do and we began. When I laid on that bed it felt great. We tried several beds. The first two were to test firmness. I kinda sank in the middle on the first and second one. Firm was my favorite. When we got to bed number three, I laid down and the bed started moving, cuddling me, rocking me, tenderly embracing my entire body. I do believe heaven opened and angles began singing Lol!!! Ive never had a bedding experience like that. When I got off the bed my entire body felt different. I felt like my body had been messaged, I had a burst of energy. I felt wonderful. Needless to say I bought the bed. Thank you, Bobs discount wonderful staff!!!

My family brought furniture and mattresses from here a couple of years ago beautiful experience with salesman Mike. Took my mom to find some furniture the other day and Mike wasn’t there but we got Derrick another wonderful experience took good care of us. She found everything she was looking for. We also got to meet the Cathy the mattress specialist she was very helpful with finding my mom a mattress that would work for her. She was informative about the mattresses and the base she brought. What an awesome experience. From the sales personal (Mario and Cathy) to the guys that brought the furniture and put it together. We bought a power bed and put it on a 6 drawer storage unit which when we checked 3 other stores they said it cant be done,we showed them the picture we had from the Calumet City store said we werent going to waste any more of your time and left. The sales people lack enthusiasm for their job. I asked how much was a bed the sales person told me, I then asked how much would it be with the mattresses. He then said, it depends on the mattresses that you get then walked away. How do you make a sale if you dont engage with the customer? Help me understand? Just to think I wanted the bed in question and was willing and ready to pay cash...smh Just blown right now.

Roger was GREAT to work with...He gave us time to test everything out. He DID NOT behave like a used car salesman. He was very knowledgeable and did not hover over us. All questions were answered promptly and thoroughly. Not my first time at Bobs in Calumet City, but I will be working with Roger when I return in a few weeks. I got a call to confirm delivery for my moms power lift chair. I asked if there was a possibility of getting an earlier date because her current chair is broken and the leg rest is stuck on recline. She has to climb in it and that creates a fall risk. He said he would make some inquiries and call me back. I got a call back and he was able to schedule the delivery within 2 days. He was so understanding of the situation and went out of his way to help me. I wish I could remember his name. Hes from the Calumet City store.

The delivery guys were awesome

So far, not so satisfying. Speaking for my parents. First off, they did not get to my parents house to deliver the furniture until 550pm. The headboard was cracked, one of the nightstands was damaged, they forgot to put all the pieces to the couch in the truck for delivery, the chest has a chip in it as well as the mirror, they sent the wrong chair (was suppose to be a recliner but was not), and they sent the wrong color for the railing around the bed (suppose to be white and they delivered black). This is unacceptable and Im just hoping my parents can be compensated for this issue because this had to start from poor packing of the delivery truck at Bobs Discount Furniture warehouse. I will say the movers were respectful, courteous, apologetic and helpful, but as far as Bobs Discount Furniture, you have to do better than this.

No one greeted me and no one helped me when I was here. Youd think theyd help a mom looking to buy bunk beds for her twin boys but no. Came out better in the end. Got their bunk beds from walmart and probably saved myself $2000!
