Has some cool stuff. 89% just comic books though. Id love a nerd store in Cambridge that was a little more robust in nerd materials.

Went for their Free Comic Book Day event, and was pleased with them having everything outside to keep people safe and distanced. Helpful and knowledgable staff was always available to help and give recommendations. Store was well stocked with new releases, back issues, graphic novels, a great selection of retro collectible items, and superhero themed toys.

Chris always works to ensure that his customers leave with the comic books and items they want. As a parent, I also appreciate that he carries a wide range of books that my children enjoy. Chris is one cool honest guy. Ive been getting books off him for years and hes always helpful and honest. As long as he is in Cambridge ill always get my pull list there and shop there. He always has my books ready and loves to chat comics. A lot of times he will also recommend a good comic book title for me to get and im never disappointed. Thank you for the wonderful service.

Awesome store and they ship out comics without getting damaged in the mail. Definitely will order more comics from them in the future for all my spawn needs. Chris u are the Man...........

We have been visiting Chris pretty much every 2 weeks for the past 10 years. We discovered Retro Rocket when we were trying to find creative ways for our then 4 yr old to develop an interest in reading. Chris always has great suggestions for titles, and has gotten to understand the different personalities and likes of my kids (and husband). He has a great selection of titles, and goes above and beyond to make sure we can get what we came in looking for. From helping me to stock birthday party grab bags, finding fun gifts for the kids, or sourcing a mini Antman figure so that we could build my husband a Worlds Best Grandma trophy for Christmas one year, Chris never disappoints!

This store is the one place I go to get comics, it’s a nice local place with awesome comics!

Great store!!!I moved to cambridge and the frist thing I looked for was a new LCS which someone suggested to go to Retro Rocket.Staff is great and goes above and beyond looking for things that you are looking for and even suggesting things you may like based on the books you normally buy. Offering a subscription and being informed of comics coming months in advance i quickly have became a regular at the store.

Very dissapointed in service. Wanted to reserve a comic and the owner said he was sold out, but my friend got his girlfriend to call after me and was told she could pick one up, so the owner obviously lied. I called today to reserve the next issue a week in advance, and the owner said hes sold out until June, when yet i called every other shop in the area, ans was able to reserve one no problem at Looking for Heros who was way more friendler and helpful.I tried to give retro buisness, but the owner lied to me about stock, and then sold one to my female friend who called after. Stay far away from this buisness if you are a new customer. 0/10.

The small sales floor can make the shopping experience feel cramped. However, the selection and prices are great and the owner is willing to ship products when the in-store experience cant provide. I need to remind myself to stop in more frequently to support my friendly local comic book store!

I’ve been going to retro since it’s original location. The owner is knowledgeable, friendly and will go out of his way to get you back issues if you need them. He has personally sold me a comic at cover price that was going for 10x that price online. Great selection and inventory for a little shop. A true nerd Mecca!

This place is fantastic its a little comic store that seems to have a little bit of everything. The owner is great and knowledgeable and also a talented artist. Local artists are known to frequent the store on event days so its worth a visit.

Best store ever

Retro rocket is one of my favorite stores in the region. The selection is great and the owner Chris is amazing.Not only are the prices reasonable, but the store also gives quite a lot back to the community. You will often see food bank drives coinciding with big events like free comic book day, and has also supported various school reading clubs in the area.The store and owner have been great to our family for years and our three year old is always excited to hear were going to see Chris. It keeps us coming back even though we havent lived in Cambridge for several years.

Exceptional! Chris always has great selections and recommendations. Very caring towards kids with great promo events, and often supplies local paramedic with free comics for injured and sick children. If its not in stock, will order as available for you. A great independent store for both fanfare merchandise and a great read.

This store is awesome and the owner, Chris, is great! He always makes you feel welcome. I have a sub there even though I live in London. When it comes to special orders, this is the place. Other places, I seem to be forgotten about, and my order is either never placed or is sold to someone else without even knowing my item has come in. Chris will often let me know the week before my item is due to arrive. Another great thing is that, if you buy comics regularly there, he gets to know what you like and often suggests other titles you might be interested in based on what you read. I would highly recommend this store to anyone interested in comics, trades, statues, POP figures, or anything comic related.

The store owner Chris has a deep knowledge and love for comics. I had just unearthed my old comic books from the closet, and went in to get a Wolverine update. He was able to explain the current landscape, and what story lines I might want to pursue. I had read as much back story as I could to catch up, but found the different story arcs confusing. He took the time to hear where I was at, and in only a couple of sentences set me straight. I bought a beautiful Return of Wolverine #1 Variant (1/50) and the Old Man Logan graphic novel. So good.Thanks Chris!

Phenomenal place, clean and well laid out store. The owner is friendly and helpful, pointing out what they offer and helping me to find the comics I was interested in. They offer a great subscription service that can get you discounted books if you subscribe to more than one series, and the prices even before that are quite good.

I like the staff, they help me find what I am looking for. My husband has a subscription there and can ensure that he gets the comics he collects. The owner takes time to know what you like and can suggest some titles that you may be interested in for you or your family. I like that the place doesnt have the gamey smell that comes with some other stores. I highly recommend this store.

Clean and respectable comic book store. Ive been to a lot in the area, and this is by far my favourite. A lot of stores have this almost elitist feeling, but this store is very welcoming. The staff has always been courtesy and friendly, and usually has some good recommendations.

Chris is very friendly and keeps up to date on comic knowledge and the pop culture world. He is organized and is happy to help you get what you want.

Like a hidden gem! I usually find a variant that is sold out elsewhere a couple says after release. All new books are bagged and boarded, lots of selection of backstock and collectibles. Owner seems a little disinterested, until you start talking to him.

Retro Rocket Comics & Toys. This place is one of the best comic stores in the KW region. Chris, the owner, not only is he one of the nicest guys Ive met but hes SUPER helpful. Getting and stocking books is one thing. But the store is able to special order collectibles too!!! More than just the domestic DC or Marvel stuff. Hes even able to get a hold of Anime and Import goodies. I ordered a couple of Japanese Ultra-Man figures and Import Vinyl Star Wars Statues too. In the past these just ended up LOST to never arrive. But Retro was able to bring these gems in. I SOOO love this place. Come on out and check the store out. Its worth youre while.

My first time in a comic book store and my family and I had fun and the guy working there was helpful. Went in here again the same guy was rude and couldnt have bothered with me. Literally saw him helping other ppl and everytime I asked for help or a question he answered me in the most passive aggressive way?! . ....hey bud guess what everyone should be welcomed in your store not just the few who have crazy knowledge about comics ! Ill be buying my comics online now . Btw this was my fourth visit to this store where this guy had this attitude. Really makes it hard for me to want to spend my.money in your store !.
