It was great, me and the wife got to browse around just long enough before being approached, Cameron was great, we told him what we were looking for and we found the furniture that we wanted. Cameron was polite and professional, in and out in 30minutes with a new sectional couch
I was looking for a new lamp and decided to shop at Ashley Home Store - although I haven’t had very good luck there previously. Cameron helped me today. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. If you are looking for fantastic customer service - I recommend Cameron. The Joyelle lamp is the one I decided to purchase. It is a heavy, well made lamp and will match my room perfectly. I can’t wait for it to arrive.
Last of June we ordered a dinette set and bedroom set. 6-10 weeks delivery. We did get our dinette set and love it. Bedroom set pushed back to October. We did get the mattress. End of September date is pushed back to January maybe February. Nobody really knows. They have offered us a “thrift store “ set instead that obviously nobody else wanted either. They were going to have to “come up with some bedside tables for it”. What we ordered was definitely not thrift store quality. We declined it. Of course we were threatened with the 35% restocking fee for furniture that doesn’t exist. Got to love that scam. I’d like to get a free $750.00 times who knows how many others they have sucked in. Today they are going to send us pictures of alternative sets they have in stock and available for immediate delivery. Where did all of it come from? They told us everything had to be ordered and floor models cannot be sold. More “thrift store” items? Our sales lady Christina is wonderful. She is so nice and trying to do everything she can to fix this. However Ashley Furniture does not care what kind of position they have put her in by not returning her text messages and helping her resolve problems. They are enjoying interest on over $2000.00 of my money and then have the audacity to talk about an unbelievably high “restocking fee”. Sweet deal for them. The solution is not yet clear but we will not stand for being robbed. A court date may be in our future. I don’t know. What I do know is how disappointed I am in a company that I have admired their furniture most of my life. If a piece of furniture came from Ashley it may have cost a little more but rest assured it was to become a family heirloom and enjoyed for generations. Apparently those values no longer exist with Ashley. Makes me kind of sad. But, rest assured I will never buy from them again and I will spread the word on their values. Guaranteed it will cost them more than what they are taking in scamming trusting customers.

Our experience was great.. We bought a bed helped out by the great salespeople there. The guy that was the most helpful.. (And from whom we bought a mattress) had only been working a couple of days.. But he was so helpful and did everything he could to make sure we were happy!

She knew her products and the store layout and could take us to exactly what we were looking for, comfortably gave us space so we could just browse, and was available any time we had a question or needed a measurement. I ordered furniture in early March and was told 6-10 weeks for delivery. Its the end of July and still no furniture, nor any word on when I can expect it. Their policy states no refunds without a 35% restocking charge! Restocking of what??? Obviously the furniture doesnt exist! So for 6 months I have been sitting in lawn chairs while they enjoy my $2,000 I paid for furniture I have yet to see. In the future, if I cant carry it out of the store that day, Im not buying it.
Bought a sofa and recliner from Cameron in the outlet section of the store~~he was great! Really patient as my husband and I shopped around, very well-informed, and just generally contributed to a good experience. If we ever need more furniture well be sure to head back and look for him!

This was my first big furniture purchase, and the staff were so helpful. They showed me several options similar to the couch I was looking at, and they were able to show me the couch I wanted so I was able to sit and feel the texture of it before buying. The staff made the ordering process super easy and they were all incredibly helpful!

Sue, the sales representative was very helpful and courteous. My only complaint is, that after purchasing $3800 of furniture she couldnt waive the $75 to have furniture placed in the house. That seems ridiculous to me. Theyll delivery to front door free and charge $75 to get it inside. Something isnt right with that!!!!!!!!

My oldest daughter and I went to Ashley Homestore in Cape Girardeau to get a bed for her. She selected the bed frame along with the headboard and tailboard. Then we went in search for a box spring and mattress. I think we tried every mattress in the place until we found the right one.The next day my wife and I went up to Cape to make all the arrangements and payment and wond up buying a box spring and mattress for ourselves, along with a new kitchen table and chairs, which was badly needed.Cameron the salesman was friendly and very patient and very helpful on both occasions.When the occasion arises, we will be coming back.Thank you Ashley Homestore and a special thank you to Cameron.Sean and Susan McQuillan and not forgetting Michelle. WORST possible customer service. Ordered furniture in FEBRUARY and the staff at Cape still has no idea if they even have it at their own store or not. Made promises that were never kept on things as simple as just a call back countless times. Chose the financing option and that became a disaster. Ran my boyfriends credit randomly in May a second time through a different financing company for 10K when our furniture is only $2,600 without our permission mind you. Submitted to the original financing company to start our loan without us even having the furniture multiple times. Tried to get in contact with someone above the store manager because she was the one who sold us the furniture and lied to us so much and were told that she was the highest we were allowed to speak to. Went to cancel the order in July and were promised that they would get it to us by the next Saturday. We still dont have it. Cancelation fee is 30% of the order, roughly $800 even though they promised 6-10 weeks from our order date in FEBRUARY. We will NEVER go through Ashley Homestore again. They dont even deserve one star but cant post without one.

I just recently bought a beautiful Clayton Home double wide and I needed to furnish my place fully. Luckily I got a lot of help picking out all my items from a great salesman, Paul Waddy. He helped me pick out exactly what I was looking for in color and style and has made sure I’ve been followed up with during this long ordering process. I’d say Paul has gone above and beyond to make sure my home was fully furnished!

Just want to share by furniture buying experience at Ashley in Cape Girardeau MO. I had been to every other furniture store in the county and Sarah King was the first person I actually wanted to take the time to talk to. She spent a great deal of time with my wife and I to make sure we got exactly what we needed. Best furniture buying experience I have had.
Delivery promised on Saturday since I do not work on this day. Bed never came. I called the store and the on call manager could explain why. She then ask it I had received a text. I told her I don’t usually answer my texts since I get hundreds per day from scammers. She said there must have been a miscommunication. I said no not a miscommunication, no communication. This is my only day off in the week. I told the salesperson this information.Since a bought a sale item I couldn’t get a refund. GREAT! I was going to bring it into my house. But now I’ll have to pay $75 dollars to have it brought into the house. My wife is not able to do it because she isn’t capable. I asked for an exception but the store manager could not authorize it. Wow if she couldn’t who could. First time ever in an Ashley store. Guarantee my last. I’ll attempt to have my CC company intervene to help with a refund. Terrible customer service. BEWARE. I guess I should of purchased it online where customer service is King. Word of caution Do not buy from Cape Girardeau MO store.

Ordered a bed 8 months ago. Keeps being pushed back with no for sure date. They are blaming it on COVID but I’ve heard stories of people waiting 6 months plus before the pandemic. They will only offer a refund on a gift card and that’s after they take out a 35% restocking fee. How is this even legal? At what point are they not held accountable for not holding up their end of the contract.My advice would be to go to Furniture finds in cape where you don’t have to wait for your furniture to be built.

She listened to me and showed me what she had in her inventory.She did not pressure me, which is very important to me. My total experience with Melanie was fantastic. Her helpfulness and being so pleasant was what made me come back with my husband and make a purchase!

Furniture is generally very good but the customer service when dealing with corporate is lacking. We have a piece of furniture that was broken during delivery and they are refusing to resolve the issue and are not responding to my emails.
Save your money and go somewhere else! Bought bunkbeds in March, and we still dont have them. Weve been understanding and patient. We were told August so we called and they told us sorry we dont know when theyll be in. Nobody knows what the other is doing. Communication is terrible!
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. PLEASE DONT GO HERE. This was our first experience with Ashley Furniture and may I say I will never go back here ever again if I have to help it. We originally got a dining table with chairs and an entertainment center. We purchased it in January 2021 with the wait time to be 6-8 weeks. We didnt rush it and figure with some wiggle room maybe 1-2 weeks late would be okay with COVID and all. THIS WAS THE WORST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES. Since February, I have been calling Ashley in Cape to get an idea on when our furniture will arrive. Each week we were told in 1-2 weeks. By the time March arrived, we were told the same, some time in March. Eventually it got to April and here we are in May. They kept saying it could come early (which never happened) and it ALWAYS ended up being delayed. What if I never get my furniture? What if I wont get it until who knows December or even next year? They kept telling me the generic, scripted answer that theyre trying everything they can and will call me back with updates. NEVER DID. ALL WERE A LIE. We are currently living without furniture because we thought we would get it by March. They never tried to redeem themselves or even offer us a discount for all the hassle, frustration and wait. All I got was a We will call you back which we never got a call back. They denied us of our refund. I am so disappointed. This is the worse experience in furniture buying I have ever experienced. PLEASE DONT GO HERE.

He was low pressure and very patient and accomodating to my 73yr old mother. He made connections with her through their shared military background. He was great about explaining to her the features of each livingroom set we looked at and suggesting things in colors and styles she said she liked. Brian went above and beyond our expectations and was very pleasant, patient and professional. After changing my mind 3 times I purchased the perfect fit. I can not wait for delivery! I ordered my furniture on January 26, 2021. I still haven’t got any of my furniture. Yes I got it ordered quickly and easily, no problem. But I’ve had nothing but the royal run around since. I ordered over $2000 worth of furniture. I’ve made calls, I’ve gone by the store numerous times and each time I’m told something different. I’ve been promised they would call me back, and they don’t. I asked to talk to the store manager they wouldn’t give me his number. I was told my lift top table was to be shipped on May 17, then told the table would be shipped on June 17. I even tried to cancel my order. I was careless and didn’t read the small print when I paid for it The store charges a 35% penalty fee and the rest is given to you with a gift card to Ashley! Terrible!! If I could give this store a negative number I would. I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone!

Absolutely horrible experiences dealing with this company! We have been burned in the past by them, but decided to give them another shot. We ordered a sectional and recliner on Black Friday 2020. Here we are 4/7/2021 and still have not received our merchandise. We have been promised delivery about 20 times. We always get the run around as to why it’s not in. We paid for this merchandise nearly 5 months ago, yet no product has been delivered. There has been no attempt to compensate us in any manner either. We asked for a refund and they have refused to give us our money back. They said we could have store credit and that’s the best they can do. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!

While perusing our local Ashley store, we saw a floor lamp that we liked. The showroom version was slightly broken so the shade was not straight. The sales associate said we could order one directly to our house that would not be broken. From that point it was an extremely poor experience. None of the sales associates knew the system, when items would be delivered, or how I would be contacted about my item. About 3 weeks later, I had to reach out for an order status. They said there was no ETA. One week later, I reached out again. They said no ETA, then messaged and said it had been delivered to their warehouse (who knows how long ago). I received a text to schedule our home delivery so I selected between 8 and 12 one day. The lamp was delivered at 1:30 without any alerts and it was broken exactly like the showroom lamp (maybe it was the showroom lamp!). It wasn’t communicated well (at all) but the delivery guys were able to fix the lamp at the store and bring it back. So after 4 weeks, relatively no communication and a poor experience we finally received the presumably broken showroom lamp that had to be fixed. This was a terrible experience and I will not be using nor recommending Ashley in the future.

I went into the store a few weeks ago. I saw a couple different dining room sets that I liked. The lady who helped me, removed the leaf from one of the tables so I could see what it looked liked without it. I decided that I did not like the looks without the leaf. I called today to ask about the first table I liked. The lady who helped a few weeks ago happened to answer the call. As I asked about the table, she remembered me and the table that I was talking about. I think it shows how customers are important because she cares evough to remember instead of forgetting after a sale was not made. Now I am looking at buying the table I liked the best.
They were very helpful, and did the best they could. We are very satisfied with their service.

SAVE YOURSELF SOME ANXIETY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! When we first went to Ashely in Cape Girardeau it seemed like we were having a great experience. The Sales rep was certainly helpful and courteous. We ordered several pieces and paid in full the same day.That was February 20, 2021. We were moving from another state and our house would be ready in mid March. We were told conflicting info about time lines. Sales rep felt like 4 weeks would be do-able and told us delivery would be March 18th. After sleeping on air mattresses for about 8 weeks and MANY phone calls and in-person visits to the store and more false delivery dates, we forked out another $180 to get a different mattress that was in store and they delivered our king and 2 twin mattresses and our clearance king bedroom set that had been in store from day 1.We are still waiting on both twin foundations, a loft bed with accessories, 2 sofas, an accent chair and a sleeper sofa. My out of state visitors will be here Memorial weekend and my sleeper Sofa (that I was counting on) will be well past 12 weeks out and still not expected to be at the store for delivery until sometime in June!THERE IS NO RECOURSE FOR BUYERS. YOU CANNOT GET A GUARANTEED DATE AND THEY DONT STICK TO THEIR DELIVERY TIME. Even worse case scenario. A refund is practically impossible. So my several out of state guest will be SITTING ON THE FLOOR. I go out of my way to let people know this was a HUGE MISTAKE PAYING CASH AT ASHLEY IN CAPE GIRARDEAU.

They lied to us. Dumped my mattresses on my carpet with no one home. Didn’t know they were coming, we paid for delivery and set up. Called manager to complain and she wouldn’t do anything about it. My husband and myself are both disabled and we had to drag in set up on are own. These were two queen size memory foam mattresses, very heavy. Very disappointed and will never do business with them again and would not recommend.

Ashley was the cheapest furniture place of the 5 we checked around Jackson/Cape. They had the largest selection also. Our customer service representative, Brian, was helpful and not overbearing. All of the staff were courteous and prompt in service.
