My absolute favorite coffee shop in Carbondale! Also one of my favorite places in town. The staff have always been really nice and helpful and cheerful! There are super cute decorations inside always. Coffee (and other drinks) are great quality at a great price. And I love the customizations and milk alternatives available.

Great experience. Clean, innovative, and fulfilling. The lady who serviced me was very knowledgeable about the menu and had great recommendations. This place is delicious but not overpowering, only recommendation is to place a trashcan outside, among the sitting area.

Would highly recommend anyone stop here while in Carbondale whether youre a student or just passing through the city! The staff is friendly, smoothies are amazing, and the atmosphere is awesome!

Coffee was good & barista who took our order was very friendly. My friend and I were passing through town & decided to give this place a try. We entered the shop wearing our masks, ordered wearing our masks and sat down to enjoy our coffee. My friend was in between sips of her coffee and the 2nd barista rudely approached her (much closer than 6 ft) instructing her that she must wear her mask while not eating or drinking. First of all, she was actively drinking her coffee that we purchased at your shop, secondly the barista invaded her space and treated us like an intruder & third... how creepy that she was watching us that closely while we drank our coffee. We were VERY socially distanced from anyone in the shop DRINKING our coffee. We were not planning on hanging out there, we just wanted to drink our coffee.Make sure you find a way to drink through your mask if you decide to go to this place. Coffee was good though.

Tried this place for the first time. I got a Vanilla Latte with oatmilk and it was the best vanilla latte Ive ever tasted. Definitely worth the $6 I spent on it.

Very nice atmosphere with friendly and quick service. Quiet and a good place to study/work as well. The coffee has a great taste and the Jungle mocha is my go to coffee to get!

Drink menu is incredibly diverse. Have ordered many things off the menu that I normally wouldnt go for just to see what they were like and have loved every single thing. Had a streusel muffin that was hands down one of the best baked goods of my life. Clean, neat, well-decorated interior with charm. Many different types of seating. I have not been since COVID for obvious reasons but hope this place pulls through the lockdown because it is wonderful.

This is my go to study spot! The coffee and tea is cheaper, and there are so many unique flavors. There is food that is reasonably priced too. They also have a punch card, buy nine get one free, but you have to ask for it sometimes. Regardless, its a great place to hangout. 11/10 would recommend!Side note: The reviewer was right about it being a study only space. People do come to talk face to face, but if were being honest, talking on your phone anywhere in public is really annoying. The customer was just being vocal about what everyone else was probably feeling.

A lot of seating options available, and it has a nice, quiet environment for studying or doing work. I also like the local names for drinks. The employees are always kind and enthusiastic about their work. Sometimes, the drinks are on the more expensive side.

I’m here for spring break and I came in with my sister. I ordered a S’mores milkshake, and unfortunately they made the wrong one. However, they let me keep the mess up and made me the right one, and they’re both AMAZING! ❤️ Highly recommend! So many options to choose from, a cute atmosphere, and friendly service! ❤️❤️

According to Google, 2 stars = didnt like it which is exactly the feedback I would provide. Further context; there may be too much emphasis on the sweet drink concoctions and less barista awareness for good espresso. I ordered a Cortado, which is a basic espresso option. The only substitute I made was to use one of the non-dairy milk options. (Which I was grateful for). However, the barista made this with mocha and said thats how its made there. Not only was it terrible in general, it didnt even taste like mocha. It tasted like a synthetic, imitation flavor of some sort with kind of an alcohol back flavor.... almost like imitation vanilla that had spoiled or something. The interior is really cute and there are basically no other local coffee shops in the area. However, the experience fell short. Oh, it was also hard to enter the bathroom due to the excess synthetic fragrance. It was like gasping for air.

This is a decent place. Drinks are pretty good and fairly priced. Never very crowded, even though its right across the street from the SIUC campus.

The service crew are always friendly and always courteous. Very large selection of beverages. Free WIFI with purchase. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED but dont come because my friend and I need a seat when we come. LOL :)

If youre near the SIU campus then swing by Common Grounds for a cup of coffee. They have an excellent drink menu and the staff is always friendly (and quick). Theyve been my go-to spot for over a decade.

College town coffee shop. The barista was good, but in no hurry. The place is very laidback. Lots big tables for collaborating, as well as some personal spaces as well. No free Wi-Fi, but you get a couple hours when you make a purchase, which is only fair.
