I love this place. Such a cute little grocery store. Staff isnt over bearing but there when you need them to be. It has such a nice atmosphere. Amazing selection. I recommend to everyone just go in there at least once!

There are so many hidden treasures in this store! Unique produce, international candy selection, cheeses, eclectic freezer section. The aisles are narrow and tall, some products can be hard to locate, but the staff is so helpful and willing to assist. If there is an obscure ingredient you need, it can likely be found here!

My first time here. Well organized and cleaned. Besides the small isles and me being claustrophobic, I really enjoyed all the variety! I highly recommend this store!

I like it, they had a wide variety of things. American, Thailand, british. A bunch of things. They also sale whole frozen fish, even squid. So its atleast worth a check if your looking for something from another country.

An amazing store with immense variety, but can be quite unpleasant on busy days as the aisles are very narrow. You dont get a lot of time to browse. This is somewhat of a blessing in disguise as you constantly find something new every time you go! Never smells bad, never had bad food from here, quite a nice place!

They have so much stuff in here. 4 stars for the smell. Just think of all those spices from foreign lands all packed in one place and that not all of them are meant to be together. Great place. Small shop, but every aisle is crammed with items youll probably not be able to get in store anywhere else locally. Prices are outstanding as well. With a fruity smelling chapstick on, this place is hands down 5 stars.

This is where we come for kimchi, rice, and other Asian and Indian food items. They have fresh produce as well The aisles are tiny but the store is packed with items that are appealing to many different ethnicities.

My wife and I LOVE this place, we have only accidentally bought one item that was expired, not a big deal at all. The owner is really nice and we spend at least $50 every trip because everything looks so amazing! Cutest store ever!!!

If you want to travel without leaving Carbondale, I suggest visiting the International Grocery in the Murdale shopping center. They have food and drinks from all over the world. From aisles of spices and sauces, to shelves of different types of noodles, to frozen seafood, and of course snacks and treats from around the world, you can get everything here. Every time we stop in I try a new drink or snack that they have available. It is a must for any food lover and home cook!

The selection is great, I only wish they had a price on all their products.

Everythings cheap! All the things that you like that you cant find in traditional American stores is here. They dont have many fresh veggies and fruits but there is a small section close to checkout. I love the selection of hot sauces,personally. Its a little cramped so be careful walking through the aisles.

The store is way too tightly packed to navigate in any way that even slightly symbolizes comfortable. The entire experience consists of being in the way, or someone being in yours.A lot of products appeared to be out of date. On top of that, most of them are missing their prices. Since they get products from many places, its hard to tell what will be pricey and whats affordable.The good thing is that theres a lot of things to get, even products from local businesses. Its a very important store for the area since it breaks the monotony of having to purchase whatever Walmart, Kroger, or Schnucks has. The staff has also been able to very nice from what Ive seen. However the store still needs a lot of work, because shopping there feels more like a chore than anything.

I was everything I was hoping for we had to go twice since we went to the wrong store the first time but the store was amazing

Drove over an hour to come here, spent 150$ so I wouldnt have to come back for awhile just to get home and realize over half the products are expired, some by days, months and even years! Buyer beware.

Good little ethnic store that has a lot of things you would want! Most of them are Asian products from China, Thailand, Japanese, India, but there are a lot of products from other countries around the world as well. The owner knows almost every products he has and can recommend you stuff.

I love this place. People who run this store is always nice and helpful. I been shopping here for Filipino food for over 2 years now. I love how they have some fruits like jack fruit available and other leafy vegetables . I love the variety of products, from dumplings to fishes. It feels like home . Staff are always friendly and helpful.

The staff here are super friendly and they always have so many cool and interesting things to try. I go here regularly with a friend and we both love it.

This store is awesome. They have lot of variety for asian foods. You can buy almost everything you need. Must visit store. Store owner is so nice and welcoming. If you are passing by this area, must visit.

Fair prices. Huge selection. Tiny aisles. We get all of our Ramen ingredients here and they also carry a nice selection of international sweets. Matcha / green tea hard candies are our favorite. Great selection of Japanese imports. Highly recommend.

THE go to place in southern Illinois for asian cooking ingredients at reasonable prices. Tiny store, but crammed with items that Ive not been able to find anywhere else.

This place is probably the only place you can get international goods in southern Illinois... if you don’t want to drive to STL, Chicago or Nashville. The entire store is tightly packed, and aisles are one person width. Be sure to check expiration dates because MANY things are past expiration. Otherwise, it’s good for small things here and there, like spices, lentils, etc.

You can get so many things here from other places for such a great price!! I went there today and got Chocolate from serbia, lays chips from India, lays chips from Thailand, candy from Japan, noodles from Indonesia, noodles from Thailand, drinks from China, noodles from the Philippines, tofu, and icy pops from china all for 13$ its amazing whatd you find there. All the workers are really helpful if you need anything and this is probably the best place in town to buy spices and such as well - check it out sometime !!

Great variety, great prices. I traveled an hour + to visit because its one of the only international food stores around. I was very pleasantly surprised at how cheap everything was. Friendly staff. It looks small and the isles are a little tight, but they have A LOT of product. Mostly Asian and Indian.

We love this place so much. Its great for getting unusual ingredients that are otherwise hard to find. As its name implies, they have stuff from all over the world. Its also a great place to just explore. Wander the aisles and discover new things. Youre guaranteed to find something you want to try! I get unique snacks there all the time. They also have a great selection of chocolates, and the spice selection is wonderful! Theyre also really nice and helpful and inexpensive.

Theres tons of variety in this store I love going to this store and actually find what I need but the last time I went there freezer was almost empty which was weird and I was a little sad hopefully they can fill it up soon.

Drove over an over spent over 150 on multiple items so I wouldnt have to make another trip back for a while just to realize when I get home over half the items are expired, some by months, some by years! They do not check and rotate their stock out.

This is my favorite International Food store within a 150 Mi radius. They really do have everything. You may have to ask for something because everything is tucked away so tightly. Theyre so nice and wonderful to talk to while youre checking out. I love to shop here even though its almost seventy miles from my house.

Half the items were not priced. Cramped narrow aisles. The prices are higher than most other grocery stores. I feel like having the cash register in view of the door with a quick hello from the cashier would liven the place up a bit. The workers were nice though and there was a variety of items you wouldnt find elsewhere.

A gem of a store in Carbondale. Good prices and amazing selection. The best place to get ingredients for any international cuisine you might want to cook, and the international candy makes great gifts. I have fun and discover something new every time I shop here. The International Grocery is one of my favorite places to shop. They have a wide variety of products from around the world that you couldnt find anywhere else in our area. From basics like rice and noodles, to hard to find fruits and vegetables and everything in between, if youre looking for authentic ingredients, this is the place to go!

Great selection of cooking supplies. Also a good amount of hot sauce variety. I feel it will take many visits to explore all the items.

Used to love this store. Great hard to find spices and ingredients BUT they quit taking link...didnt have a sign on door saying that they no longer accept it. We have always used it in the past. Will not go back. Now I have to find another place to find my rice.

This place reminds me of stores I could find back in Seattle. After moving to Southern Illinois, I had thought I would never see good international foods anymore. International Grocery fills that need for me. While it covers a lot of different cultures - Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, German, Turkey, Greece, England, and others - it does them a great justice. Where else could you find Marmite, Chinese soy sauce, Paneer, and Boba tea in the same place? We make a 50+ miles round trip a few times a month just to get our fix!

This is the type of place where someone into food or international cooking could spend a lot of time and a lot of money too.Oh yeah, money. I cant say for sure, because I dont get these type of items often enough to comparison shop, but the prices for various items here seem to be pretty cheap compared to other places.

I didnt have any issues with this store... I absolutely love the wide variety of items here! My favorites are the teas and Mochi ice cream. But I also noticed that a couple of the foods had a past expiration date, and some of the produce (like the bananas) were rotten...

I go there to get my daughters vegetarian meat and tofu they have a better selection than most of your stores for her needs
