It may be a good co-op? I had only shopped a few minutes, when a voice behind me announced that I needed to move out of the way. I had gone to an unoccupied corner to take an urgent cell-call from a family member. I pulled my covid mask down to take the call and was distanced from anyone. The voice then barked Put your mask on, PUT YOUR MASK ON! I replied YES MAME! The employee then screamed at me while pulling down his mask, Do I look like a mame to you??? I had not actually looked at the barking employee, and now saw a beard, but had replied to what I thought was a womans voice. He was rude and apparently already angry about something. I left the co-op and will never go back.

The absolute best place in town to get fresh and organic food, beauty products, and sustainable products. The selection of health products is amazing, I have never once seen this many different organic and natural items available in one place. All the spices beans coffee and a lot more Do not come in containers, you just bring your own.

If Im in Carbondale I make sure to stop here! Employees are always super nice and helpful. The store is clean and kept very neat and tidy. Restrooms are clean. Big selection of wholesome, quality, natural foods! Deli is superb and I dont leave without grabbing a slice of pizza, a cookie and a drink (all made with healthy ingredients of course.)

I shop here once a month. The smell is wonderful when you walk through the door. Lots of organic and whole foods.I like the bulk food section. Fresh baked breads and other goodies.

I was looking for something specific. This store is about an hour from us so I called ahead to make sure they would have what I needed. I spoke with Stephanie. She was very helpful and said if we needed help when we got to the store just ask for her. When I arrived they had exactly what she described over the phone. I am very pleased with the service and the quality of product.

Lots of good fresh food, quality non-perishable food, good deli, good chicken, lamb chops, etc. When they have link match in the summer its actually a bargain! Any day, you use a link card to buy up to $25 of goods, and they give you a dollar coupon for each dollar you spent with which you can get local produce. They have a large amount of local and organic produce. If you shop the sales carefully, its not that expensive. A very good selection of products in every department and they will special order. They are one of my favorite grocery stores. Town Square Market is good too.

Lots of vegan options, friendly and helpful staff, convenient location. I love the vegan pizza and options in the deli.

I love going here they have almost everything organic or hand made items. Such as soaps that are mostly all hand made, and hand woven baskets. They have all kind of snacks alot of gluten free options, fresh produce(thats tastes absolutely amazing) the have regular cow milk and other milk alternatives as well. They also have all different kinds of nuts and seeds. They have a few wine options not a ton of stuff but alot of local brands. A large area of specialty cheeses that would go great by themselves or to go with little appetizers. Almost everthing there is reasonably priced. I love going here and will definitely be going again and again.

Everything is well-organized and pretty clean. The staff are friendly. Prices are pretty reasonable for a co-op. Obviously, the main reason one goes to a co-op is because one agrees with the ideals of a co-operative venture so if you plan on shopping here frequently, buying a membership is a great option. Overall, the shopping experiences Ive had here have been very positive.COVID-19: Masks and social distancing limits are enforced here.

Always a joy to shop here. The produce is a work of art both in display and quality. It lasts so much longer in my fridge than others produce. You will find what youre looking for in allergy friendly foods. If they dont have it they will help you find it. The workers are most kind, knowledgeable, and helpful!

Not the cheapest place to come to looking for just basic groceries, but their selection of fresh roasted coffee plus quality food and ingredients you cant find anywhere else in Carbondale makes it well worth consistent visits. Staff have always been extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Their zucchini bread is also delicious :)

Having lived in Seattle for 20+ years, I grew accustomed to having a wide variety of organic and international food items. The Co-op makes me feel like Im back there every time I visit. I find foods and products I cant find in any other store in the area, all served by a staff who always ask how they can help. Its a 50 mile round trip for me, but its worth every mile.

Nice place, products are great. The draw back is in order to get the better price you have to have a membership. Although Im sure that membership quite certainly has its perks, but for those who wish to get a better sale price must join. Still a great place for your addition organic foods outside of the grocery store.

Theyve got great quality products. A little expensive, but most of them are worth it. Nicely decorated inside, I love the different colored walls for sections of the store (ex. The deli walls are painted purple, bakery is orange, bulk is yellow, etc). Radical decorations. Nice calming music. Theyve got cool lights above the aisles. Employees were so-so friendly.

Went in to get vitamins, they had exactly what we needed and I also noticed they had vitamins that other places are sold out of, price comparison I give a thumbs up! Will be back when I need a refill

Great place to get excellent food. Healthy alternatives, foods for those with specific allergies (my wife has celiac, and has to eat gluten free), and the food tastes GOOD instead of weird like other food allergy safe places / foods. I recommend them highly. Friendly staff, and great selection!

Pricey but if you can afford it you are supporting the local economy and community! I try to shop here as much as I can for produce, hygienic products and other miscellaneous goods. Become a member and save $$$.The deli is great too!

They had a tea I liked once upon a time and little did I know that next door at the international grocery was the exact tea for two buckaroos less.Lela, a fellow reviewer is also correct about strange little attitudes that I have also encountered from time to time and they have become more frequent, so as a point I hate attitudes above all else when I shop somewhere. So I will remind you that your store and my need to go there can be replaced with a quick google search.

It was my first time in the co-op today and I loved it! Lots of specialty items, vegan, non GMO certified, and local produce. Will definitely be back to try some food in the cafe!

One particular cashier (older, built, lady who never combs her hair ) has given me attitudes since I started visiting the store. She would always ask if I am a member (and I am not because I was never told I could become a member and how it would work), anyway she would sigh and then act disinterested and pout once you tell her you are not a member. Today, again, she asked but instead of her usual she said of course with a nasty tone and attitude in her face. Ive never been treated like this before in such an overt matter, its unacceptable. I really dont know why a random customer deserves such attitude and such treatment. but that is enough for me. I really dont expect chit chat and I would rather not, however, blatant disrespect now thats an issue. Last time I am visiting the place is today. Ive talked with management and they said I must have misunderstood, nope I told them what was said and done, and there was no misunderstanding whatsoever. Too bad granted that I am probably one of the best customers for overpriced organic juices, vegan lattes, and other products that most students buy at Wal-Mart. Very bad business model this place has, if they continue they will go bankrupt. Although, they have a ton of vegan choices they also support the non-vegan options...its 2016! If you are member most likely you do not experience attitudes and other nastiness. Stay away, this place is not as happy as they proclaim to be.

Neighborhood coop is the food anchor of the dale and the region! No other store offers as much locally grown food or provides the wide range of services. What other store has staff who quickly direct you to the product you need, ecen if you can only describe it? Indeed, this is our go-to place and we have been proud card-carrying members since its inception!

They have a great selection of bulk items but they are pricey. I find their organic bulk items are more expensive than other stores non bulk organic things. A comparison of local grocery stores showed the Co-op was always the most expensive but they have a lot of items the other stores dont.

Prerty good variety, but I just dont see how they can justify the markup on most of their items, besides taking advantage of having the local, small-town monopoly on the health food market. Way too expensive. Food is always fresh, though.

The Co-op is good for certain hard to find food items. It has a good selection of organic foods. The downside is the price premium for it. For instance for a certain type of chips and coffee I like which the Co-op carries and also schnucks down the street carries. The co-op price on these items is 50% higher than the grocery down the street. I try to only buy items I cant find elsewhere.

Friendly, respectful staff make one feel welcome,and they answer questions with courtesy and care. Prices are always fair. I love it!

Great products, love it as a one stop for organic things, but seriously the prices are ridiculously high. I feel like they take advantage of the organic label and turn it into a lets overcharge people opportunity. Dont get me wrong I shop here regularly to support local, but high prices will and customers away.

I go here for bulk foods, especially dried deglet dates. I also get vegan meals from the little serving area. Great vegan pizza. The staff is friendly and the shop is very tidy and clean. Good community vibe.

Great place, somethings are overpriced. The bulk goods, check before you buy, sometimes they taste like old grease as though they are outdated. Need to wash the fruit thats put out for kids.

Update 8/1- I brought in an oil diffuser, with Reeds and the remnants of the oil...as I disposed of it before driving to the Coop. I was sickened that the Reeds had molded together. I went to turn them, found several were molded - disposed of them and wiped the rest down. Two days ago I found they had ALL molded. Taking them @ their word on satisfaction - I brought it all back. I will be honest - I didnt have the receipt, as I shred them once they clear my account...but I am an Owner. The women at the service counter were chatting away and it took some time for them to notice me. When I finally was able to explain I was asked, So...what do you want me to do about it? WOW. I was then told the Room Zum Zum spray shouldnt have been used (contrary to what another employee told me @ the time of purchase) and had to RE-PURCHASE EVERYTHING, to the tune of $0.89 for new Reed sticks and over $20 for appropriateoils. WOW - I bring back $11 ish dollars in BAD merch, and thats all they can do? Charge me more,Seriously for their mistake? Bad customer service Coop! Shameful...Love, love the Coop. Im an owner, but anyone can shop here. Smells great from the moment you walk in. Typically have samples to try new foods which is nice, and post coupons with groceries and other items to use in store. Their fresh food counter cant be beat to take home a meal, or enjoy at one of their tables or bar. Service is great, pleasant atmosphere all around!! 👍👍

As a vegan, this grocery store is a life saver. Its the only place I can find vegan cheese in the area. They have a wider variety of vegan food than any grocery store I went to when I lived in Atlanta. Great produce selection, natural health products, bulk food, and cafe.
