We drove out to Baltimore Brass from New Jersey and it was totally worth the trip. Everyone who works there is extremely helpful and honestly gives advice based on the musician and not on the prospect of making a sale. When we got there they gave us a room and my son was able to test a few instruments to see which one was right for him. We werent able to decide on one that day but will definitely be checking the website for more instruments and will happily make the drive back.

10/10 experience. In June, I drove 3 hours to try out a couple euphoniums (which they graciously held for me) and bought a lightly used Willson 2900 for a great price. The employees were very knowledgeable, and also helped with mouthpiece selection. I recently ordered some valve oil online from them as well, and the price was better than on Amazon. I could not give this place a higher recommendation.

The have a knowledgeable sales team great customer service, all professional players, a repair shop, and new and used brass instruments if all kinds, mouthpieces and accessories. They wear masks, its clean and have private practice/demo booths. Im happy they are in our area because the next closest brass shop is Dillons in NJ. Chuck Levins has a brass shop but its different than Baltimore Brass.

Great team to work with. They were upfront, honest and available to answer any questions I have. As a buyer of vintage horns it is really important to get accurate info before you purchase, and they went out of their way to give me great info about the horn!

Friendly and helpful staff. Very knowledgeable and they dont make you feel like they are rushing you off to handle other customers or complete other tasks in the store. Everyone working the day I visited made sure every question was answered and was finding everything I needed. The owner was there, and he was working just as hard as the other employees ! This shop is a brass players dream! They have a massive collection of beautiful horns of all kinds -- antiques, used, new, rare, and the strange. Numerous sousaphones, double bell euphoniums, concert tubas in every key, double French horns, hunting horns, vintage trumpets and cornets, a beautiful variety of trombones, and even a cimbasso! This place is absolutely fantastic. They also carry sheet music, cleaning supplies, mutes, and cases for the brass family. Additionally the staff is knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy. They have a practice room with a door and music stand for you to test play the instruments. They also do trade-in and consignment deals. The store hours are accurate and you can walk in anytime without an appointment. I drove here from DC and it was absolutely worth the trip. If you are a brass player living in VA, DC, MD, PA, DE, or NY, you should check this place out. Its worth a long drive. You wont be disappointed!

Off the beaten path, but walk inside to an amazing selection of antique, student grade, professional grade, or simply unique brass instruments. Low pressure sales, Pete offered lots information and directed us to our price range. My son tried out several instruments over about an hour and walked out with a great sounding, high quality, used trumpet that he will be able to use through high school, college, and beyond, if he decides to continue playing. Trial period on all instruments is a plus. Highly recommend Baltimore Brass.

I have both a Trumpet and Trombone player and they cant say enough good things about Baltimore Brass. The staff is made of musicians that know their instruments, provide solid trusted advice and their pricing is highly competitive and fair. And their post sales support is excellent with one of the best repair shops in the area. And if your looking to sale your instrument, their consignment plan cant be beat. Its a low stress store with with a wide selection of new and used instruments, wide variety of Mouth pieces for most brass instruments. Visit, you wont be disappointed.

Superior chem cleaning and polishing of my 80s Bach Strad 25 silver cornet by Pete. Great addition of a custom water key on my protective wifes King tuba with a design flaw where liquids build up, and she is over the moon about not having to garishly spin the horn during a concert. Drove hours to get here and was well worth the drive! The staff was great and very knowledgeable, had an answer to every question that was asked. Stayed for 3 hours and felt welcome to stay even longer. Would recommend to anyone looking for a brass instrument.

Great experience and fast repair of my trombone that needed a spit valve spring and cork replacement, which took them 5 minutes to fix. I will pass this experience on to other musicians that I know.
