My husband and I came in for exams on 9/11/21 and we had a great experience. Amanda helped us with paperwork and the testing before we saw the doctor and she was amazing! The doctor was also awesome and the folks in the front were great! I got my new glasses the same day and the price was fantastic! I highly recommend this business!

Had an extremely wonderful experience today. Chabli greeted me at the door, quickly assessed what I was looking for and helped me find two pair of glasses. The service from start to finish was better than one would expect for the amount of people in the store and there only being two associates working at the time. It was busy with only two employees working but they were so polite. We were in there around 6, and while they close at 7, they were able to make my daughter’s glasses in 14 minutes! I was very impressed.

I’ve gotten glasses made there twice now, and both times they went out of their way to figure out how to save me money. Having no insurance, I truly appreciated this! Great selection, too.

I highly recommend Dr. Balgemann. My family has been going to him for 7+ years, and trust his advice 100%. He only recommends what is absolutely needed, and is fantastic at explaining why something is or isn’t needed. His current front desk assistant, Tasha, is also very friendly and helpful. The staff that helped us with picking out glasses were superb also!

We learned through the required kindergarten eye exam that our five year old needed glasses. Her father and I don’t wear glasses, so this was all new to us. We shopped three places locally and ended up going with Eyemart Express. They had a huge selection of frames for kids and our experience working with Chablii at the Champaign location was incredible. She was patient and made the entire experience enjoyable for our daughter, and it was clear that she had experience fitting children properly for glasses. She took the time to search our insurance plan to discover that I have vision coverage and priced out all of the possible options for us. We ended up taking home three pairs of glasses with a guarantee for $326 compared to the $550-600 we were quoted at the other two places for just two pairs. Better yet, all three pairs were ready for pickup in just over an hour after selecting the frames as opposed to the standard two weeks we were expecting from other locations. I highly recommend Eyemart Express!

Halen was very personable, efficient & informative. Great experience! Much better than the place I used to go. They also are very accommodating and great customer service. Definitely would recommend anyone to go there. Oh, I almost forgot also very affordable compared to some of the other places I’ve been.

We dont even live near the area; we were only passing thru the state. Upon arrival, I had made it apparent that we were in a bit of a rush and they catered to that fact. In just over an hour from the time we walked in, I had 2 pairs of new glasses in my hands!

Balgeman, asked me about family eye problems and taught me vision expectations and care, professional staff, all of them, the technician who did the eye tests, the personnel in the lab who had the eyeglasses done in less than 2 ours, the technician who adjusted the glasses with patience to all my interventions and invited me to come back if there is need of more adjustment, and a special mention about the work done by Chabli, who prepared a list of services for lenses, insurance, promotions, took the time to help me choose the frames I intended, and more, finished the eyeglasses adjustment when Ive returned on Monday. Highly recommend it.

I had an eye exam at EyeMart Express. First time using their Optomotrist, Dr Balgemann. He is very thorough with your eye exam. Friendly environment. Friendly Staff at the Exam Office, as well as in the Eye Glass Center.My Eye Glass Tech was Miss Chablii. She helped me pick a decent frame that would fit my face. She was very professional, couteous, and fun. Miss Chablii also assisted my Husband the day before my appointment with his glass choices. The best part of this visit was receiving my glasses in under an hour. The overall experience was EXCELLENT-***** Stars!

My sister is legally blind and her glasses were lost during the hospital visit. Completely catastrophic for her. I had a current prescription for her and called Eyemart Express. Due to current staffing they were not doing same day classes for prescriptions her strength, but when I explained the situation they made it happen within hours. Amazing customer service and forever grateful for their help in this crummy situation! Also found her a pair of adorable two-tone frames that felt much higher quality than the price would indicate.

I am very pleased with my visit. I got my glasses the same day and was able to get my second pair free. The optometrist was very efficient and knew what I needed. The selection was bigger than most places and I have already got many compliments on my glasses. I am definitely going to refer them to my coworkers since I am the Administrator for our health benefits. It was a good change to be treated with respect and have the staff be so knowledgeable and helpful. I was supposed to have an appointment with Americas Best and they treated me like garbage and gave my appointment away. I called Eyemart Express and they were able to get me in the same morning. In a way it was for the best since I was not ripped off and got what I needed without breaking the bank. Two pairs with under a $100 in add ons to my lenses is a pretty good day.

The customer service was very poor but I have a really high prescription and they had the lenses in stock and the glasses were made faster than I was told they would take so that was really nice. The blond lady that works there that I spoke with seemed to have a problem answering any of the questions I had. She was very unfriendly in answering my questions like it was inconvenient for her to have to take the time to answer them.Honestly, the glasses being made so quickly and them having my lenses in-stock is the reason for the 3 stars.

These guys are GREAT. I came in on a Saturday afternoon with a new prescription at around 3. Told them I drive a truck and would be leaving on Sunday, so if there was any chance they could get my glasses done, Id appreciate it.34 minutes later, I got a text saying they were done. I went in and bought a new pair of glasses (paying out of pocket). The two women I dealt with that day were nice. I decided to go back the next day and buy one more pair (again I would pay out of pocket), however when i went in I was treated so poorly by staff that I decided in the middle of looking at glasses that I was done and left. This is the SECOND VERY POOR experience we’ve had here! I gave them another chance and it was awful again, I will now never go back.

Had to get new glasses for first time got my exam done earlier in morning. Went in afternoon with my script and picked out frames and they thought it would take 1 hour to get so we went for lunch and got message 20 minutes later and were all ready I definitely will recommend this place to everyone real good service.

The optometrist there Dr. Michael Balgemann was great and really knows what he is doing. Friendly staff and helpful. They were behind on getting glasses made and done so it wasn’t same day. Only because they had some machines down. They had a lady come in from Wichita, Kansas to help get them. She not only fixed the machines that were not working but help get caught back up. I received my text alerts from the store at 6:52 saying both pairs of glasses I was getting wet ready. Store closes at 5:00, I wasn’t aware until I stopped by to pick up my glasses. Once I got there they were closed but the lady from Kansas was still there and in the lab working on filling orders for glasses. Some guys where in there finishing some trim work or something elsewhere in the building and alerted the tech in the lab that o was there. She was super nice and actually let me come in and she helped me so I could get my glasses and not have to wait. I’m not great with name and I’m sorry that I don’t remember hers but she was great and I appreciate her helping me. Anyway, great experience and I recommend them if you need an eye exam and or glasses.

This is not your average in and out store. The Dr. was amazing and very knowledgeable. Once of the best Ive ever gone to and Ive seen specialist . The staff was busy but never unkind or not willing to help. I never once felt like I was pushed into buying something that wasnt needed. Hands down best experience Ive ever had and already have shared with family and friends.

Would recommend to ANYONE. Cheapest exam in town but also the best service. My eye doctor was amazing and personable, and actually found out my perscription was too strong. He chatted with me about nerdy stuff while also guiding me through the exam. I didnt realize how much eye exams suck until I had this guy. The clerk upfront was great too and went above and beyond to get me a great deal. Prompt service, awesome people, clean office. 10/10

Broke my glasses, and my prescription was expired by a couple of months. Was told it was illegal to sell me glasses unless I had a new exam. So, now I guess I will wait until March when I can get in to the doctor to see again. I write this review as I am still unable to find this law???

I went to this place on 9/19/2019 and Im really happy I did. I have two pairs of glasses now, both with new prescriptions. The optometrist and assistant were fantastic, very informative and professional. And the eyewear staff were also really great, it was busy but I was helped quickly and professionally. Price was great too. I got my new glasses in less than 2 hours. I will go here again next time I need new glasses. Coolness!!!

Excellent service. As other reviews have stated, everyone was helpful and friendly. The doctor was by far the most passionate and knowledgeable optometrist Ive seen in my 15+ years of wearing glasses and contacts. Took his time making sure I was satisfied with my Number 1 or Number 2 choices, and explained to me why one was different than the other. Talked in detail about why eyes change, my options for laser surgery, and investigated a slight astigmatism which had never been diagnosed. Front desk service was friendly and willing to get me price info on many types of contacts. I will definitely be returning here!

Weve gone to Eyemart Express for years. Eye care and service have always been great. However, after todays experience, well be looking for eye care elsewhere. We live 30 miles away, so their same day service is very important to us. We were not told that their machine is down and the new glasses would take a week. We overheard this info from another employee speaking to another customer after we had nearly finished the transaction. In the meantime, back-up glasses are extremely uncomfortable. Sure wish Eyemart employees would have given this info up front so we couldve gone to another location.

Normally only write negative reviews but... this place was so great decided to write a good one. I called ahead to see if they do walk ins for eye exams. They said that they do but there might be a long wait because they were booked up. I came on in, again they told me it might be a long wait because I was a walk-in. I filled out the paperwork and less than 5 minutes later they were calling me back. The optometrist was super friendly, but not in a creepy way. I only wanted to get my prescription so I could order my glasses online. There was ZERO pressure to get me to purchase glasses in store. My original plan was to just go get my exam at walmart, which I believe without insurance would had cost @$65. My exam here (with a coupon on my phone and no insurance) came out to $39.

I dont know if yall are going to see this or not but there are no words for how great full I am for what youve done for me. Ive worn glasses for 30 years and Ive never come across such a great eye doctor. He let me adjust focus myself because theyre my eyes and the anti glare they suggested for my lenses fixed a problem that I thought was just the way I was going to have to live forever. Google headlights and astigmatism and youll see how the light scatters. My new lenses correct that! Im so happy Im going to go look at more lights!

I am literally sitting in the parking lot still after my appointment. This place was awesome. From the first person, to the last person, they were all amazing. We had our 2 yr old and 4 yr old with us. The ladies that work in the office were playing with them, holding them, talking to them and just treating them with such kindness. That is just the beginning. Dr. Michael Balgemann was the BEST! He explained things, showed pictures of things and really took the time to care about my vision. My vision didnt change much, but just little tweaks are what he noticed. I honestly cant say enough good things about them. If I could give them more stars, I would.My last exam was at All about eyes, and they were terrible. Rude, pushy, quick, and not thorough. I wont go anywhere else now.

The doctor was very friendly and did a great job of explaining the status of my eyes as far as my astigmatism and whatnot. No other eye doctor Ive seen has been this enjoyable to work with. The people on the sales floor are very friendly and helpful. I had a coupon for a $39 exam and two pairs of glasses for $39 that I found on their website so I walked out paying less than $80 for everything. Its a great place to go if you need glasses but dont have insurance. BOTH pairs of glasses were done in 15 minutes !! I love that they text you when your glasses are ready. I will def be going here from now on for my eye care. Fantastic services and fantastic prices !!

I go here because of the excellent service the optometrist provides. I have an old eye injury and I have often frightened of the optometrist he understands my injury and was able to compare my old and new photos. Where do I start?! VERY courteous staff. EXTREMELY quick service especially on making my sons glasses. Eye art totally saved the day for my son! We had to have glasses THAT DAY in order for my son to pass a sports physical to play football. I could not believe they had his glasses not only ready same day but in less than 30 minutes!!! Staff was polite. Had an associate that must have been new. The other associates helped her out, since my glasses broke unexpectedly and I did not have a spare, I was already not doing well with a headache and eye pulsing. But, my glasses were ready in 26 minutes. The price was great and I got a great price for 2 pair. I would definitely go back.

When we walked in we were not acknowledged. Employee cut in front of me while I was looking at frames. Didnt say excuse me or anything. Another employee working with customers got upset with the lab employee. He was hateful, unprofessional and rude in front of the customers. None of this should of happened especially with customers present. We walked out.

I went to Eyemart Express recently and theeye exam went well, was on time and went quickly. Met the Doctor he finished the exam and was very professional no complaints on that. Was told glasses would be ready in 3 hours and I was found not able to stay in town for that long, so I set it up for my wife to pick up 7 hrs later when she got off work. My wife arrived and glasses was not ready, something about machine broke the lens. Remember could be ready in 3 hrs and she arrived 7 hrs later. So I Drive back to office to pick up my glasses the next morning 3 hrs after Opening and glasses still are not ready they now say they are waiting on lenses from Texas and it will be 7 days now. Something not adding up! They could not inform my wife they was out of lenses the afternoon before, when they had twice the time to make my glasses or is this a joke.3 trips to get a pair of glasses and now 7 day wait!Very displeased with the final service!R. Have purchased glasses for my husband and son here and have been very pleased with the overall experience.

The optometrist was amazing. It took him less than five minutes and knew what my issues were. He explained in detail what was wrong with my eyes and my issues with glasses and seeing with them. The staff was amazing. The pricing on the frames and lenses were amazing. I went to All About Eyes in December what a freaking joke didn’t know what was wrong didn’t even think I had astigmatism in my right when I knew I did and I discovered with the new dr I seen today I have it in my left. Whatever you do definitely come here he takes the time to know what you have and will make sure you are completely satisfied unlike All About Eyes.

Although I really like the eye doctor at this location, Eyemart Express has terrible customer service, poor quality, and has shown literally no professionalism what so ever. Very disappointed.

I had a good experience at this location. The ophthalmologist was friendly and explained everything very well. I ordered two pairs of classes and had walked out with them the same day. Reasonably priced and quick.

The service is always wonderful. Everyone on staff is always patient and polite. I switched from All About Eyes to Eyemart Express because the waiting time is extremely less at Eyemart Express. The other store, I had to wait a week for the glasses to come in; where as with Eyemart Express, I only have to wait an hour or so and even if I have to pick them up the next day, the glasses are usually ready before the time I was told they would be ready. The selection is always great and I tell anyone and everyone if they need glasses, that Eyemart Express in Champaign, IL is the best place to get them. 😀

Was going to give a 5 star the morning crew was great. But went to pickup glasses different group working not as nice. 1 eye lense was not right. Took to different Eyemart in different town found out wrong script lense was in 1 eye. I had bought 2 pairs of glasses almost $400. Good thing 1 pair was correct because cant see far away. Old pair broke was not usable.

This review is about the customer service not for the Doctor since I could never make an appointment. I found the ladies at the phone call very rude. At first one lady put me in hold without letting me know and when I called again and asked what happened she said her computer was not working. This is call poor operation management. Second, when I called again second day. The lady was so unprofessional. I feel the people working on the phone handling department is not happy with the job and she was so rude. Her answer were not polite and sounded like she was very cranked up. This calls for poor job on Human Resource Team for hiring such an unprofessional person on the first point of customer service.Still I went talking and she hung up on me. I thought I got disconnected and I called again and I asked did you hung up on me she said yes since she could not hear me. Actually, there was some background noise and she was mad about it. She sounded not fit for the job. Then I called again at this point. This time lady in the eyemart express in Champaign picked phone and I someone earlier hung up on me, if you are the same lady, then she said I was being transferred, Well that cannot happen since I called myself and she was not also pleasing, she acted if she do not know and she cannot be responsible for it. If she is working for the same company, she should have apologized me for the inconvenience. All this incident happened on July 9, between 9-10 am. Eyemart need to hire professional people, who can deal with customer nicely not run away. Hope management can take proper action.

Dr Balgelman was great! However I waited from 12 until 5 and was told that it would be another hour for my sunglasses. The other pair I got was ready by 4:30. Not good because I dont live all that close (30) miles

I would give this place zero stars if possible. Totally unprofessional. They act like they dont want to be bothered with customers. Will proudly take my business elsewhere to people who act like they care what they are doing.

Quick. Easy. Fast and friendly. Great eye exam. Great choices of eyewear to choose from. Great prices. I walked out with 2 pairs of glasses. One for everyday wear. One for driving and enjoying the outdoors. Thx.

My son had been without his glasses for a few months. We called got an appointment the next and walked out with 2 pairs of glasses all in the same day. My son was happy to have his sight back to a level that provides much comfort and normality.

Products and pricing were great. Staff not so much. The two girls that we worked with were rude and made it seem like we were an inconvenience to them.

Excellent, helpful staff, who care deeply about their customers. I almost wish I needed new glasses more often! It does take a long time to get certain prescriptions, but at least theyre honest about it.

Staff was friendly & helpful & had my glasses done in less then an hour & was happy they accepted the prescription I had from another eye clinic.

Highly recommended. I have a significant astigmatism and the Dr was very knowledgeable about it, and kind too.
