Ive bought my last two bikes at Erlton. The salesman took time to really listen to what I was looking for in a bike and gave me really great suggestions. They were very knowledgeable about what seat and handlebar height the bike should be adjusted to so I could ride comfortably.I try to take my bike by annually for service. They always are very through with a tune up it rides like a dream afterwards!! Very reasonably priced as well.

Very pleasant staff, but not very good with bike repair and maintenance. I got the impression they are more sales based than service. They were also very busy. In July after a 50 mile ride brought my bike in for a yearly adjustment and maintenance. My old shop went out of business so I tried Erilton. It took a week and they put on a new chain. Went for a ride the following weekend and the shifting was off with chatter, no shifting and then jumping gears. About 11 miles in on a trail when transitioning from steep down hill to up the new chain popped off and wedged between the gears bending the new chain. Ive had this mountain bike about 18 years and usually take it into the shop every year or 2. Until now Ive never had it come out of the shop in worse condition then when it went in.I didnt take my bike back and give them a chance to make it right. The shop is very busy with long waiting lines and I didnt want to wait another week plus before I could ride, so I sucked up the 80$ charge. Instead I took my bike to a new shop in Swedesboro near where I work. In 4 hours he replaced the chain and adjusted the shifting back to normal. Rode over a hundred miles since than with no problems.

Great experience purchasing a new bike for my girlfriend. I knew I wanted a hybrid bike for her and the associates pointed me in the right direction and taught me what I needed to know. Theyre great. Helpful. Patient. Information. Not pushy, either. I came back to the store 3 times to test different bikes and make sure everything was in order. Didnt even try unnecessary upsells. For a work commute, I needed a basic mountain bike with a kickstand, bottle holder, and safety lights. Thats exactly what I got. Good price. And I love my new bike! :)

I bought a new bike here, and am very happy with it. Nice people and great service on my older bike!Three months later: I have some minor problems with the bike, and I bring it into the shop. They adjusted the brakes, the derailleurs, the bottom hub, and fixed a broken spoke I did not even know I had. It was all done quickly and for no charge. Thank you very much!

Every time I go see these guys they go above and beyond. I purchased my first real bike from them (Giant) last summer and they put it together, tweaked it out for me, and made sure I knew how to maintain it. I bought all my accessories from them and they installed them all. These guys dont have to do any of this stuff but they always do.Well now Im headed cross country to ride some trails and I need a box to ship my bike in. I called them up and theyre going to GIVE me a box. Okay, so they were gonna throw it away anyway and its not a big deal for them to do it. But its a big deal to me because I REALLY need this box.So hats off to this local business for appreciating the support they get from the community and showing it each and every day.

The owner was very rude. Laughed at the bike I brought in for a repair and said that it would take 300$ plus a 250$ down payment to fix it. Then continued to say that it is not worth anything and I should just throw it away and buy a new one. The bike was my moms childhood bike and I wanted to gift her with a nice repair. He told me just to buy a new one because that my bike was “not worth it”. I bought all of the parts on amazon for under 75$ and fixed it myself. It was pretty easy and took an afternoon. Overall, I had a pretty bad experience.

Manager spent a long time helping me decide the best bike for me. In the end, I settled for a folding bike. I’ve had it for two years now and could it be happier. I decided to go with what was recommended as this was one of the only bikes of this type made with better quality materials. Now I see I made the right decision. The bike feels as if it was made for me!!! The store gets busy so be prepared to wait your turn. And in turn, you will get the same attention given to those before you.

They have curb side pickup. You have to put your name down in a notebook and wait to be called. It was very easy but not quick [on a Saturday]. Expect to wait 30-45 minutes if you get there when the list is already one and a half pages long. Good experience!

Erlton Bicycle Shop is perhaps the best source for bicycles, equipment, and repairs in South Jersey. I have gotten multiple repairs done there over the past decade and have been thrilled with the results every time in terms of cost and quality of the work. I have not bought a bike there yet, but every time I go into the store, there is somebody buying their second or third bike, so they are doing something right!

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. The shop was packed, but we had reps helping us every step of the way. We went there to size my wife for a road bike. They didn’t try to oversell anything and wanted to make sure we had the right fit. I ended up buying somecomponents for my current setup, at a fair price... great shop overall. The shop is fairly small in footprint, but it it jam-packed with bikes, ranging from BMXs to Trikes and everything in between. They were able to fix my bike after i had a close encounter with a front bumper that turned my cranks into a modern art sculpture. Prices were reasonable, and its good to support a local business. All and all a pleasure to do business with.

Went there this weekend to buy a new road bike after being recommended by several experienced cyclists. I was highly impressed with the service I received. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful - and not at all pushy. I got a great bike for a good price and the owner even gave me a free water cage, a water bottle, a free year of tune ups, and a free fitting. I will definitely go there again when I need anything else for my bike. Highly recommend to anyone shopping for a bike.

Great place! The folks here have a ton of experience theyre happy to share. There was absolutely no pressure or hard sales. I bought a bike carrier, they assembled it for free, and even loaded it onto my car. Their prices were as good or better than other local stores. And on another visit, they were happy to simply talk about the local bike trails and the new features on bikes coming out. I strongly recommend a visit here. For me, I cant imagine ever going anywhere else.

Worst shopping experience in a very long time. I call last Thursday and ask if they have a bike Im looking for. They say yes, but it has to be built. Great! I tell them Id like to pick it up on Saturday. They tell me to call to make sure its ready. Call Saturday. They have no idea what Im talking about. The lady on the phone takes down a work order, and says to call Tuesday to make sure its ready. I call Tuesday. Again, no idea what Im talking about. They dont even know if the bike is in stock. The person I spoke to on the phone says he will check and call me right back. I call back three hours later, they havent had time to check, but will call me. Very short with me on the phone. They call me later that night and say they have it in stock. They say theyll call me Wednesday so I can make payment and close the deal. They never call. I call today, Thursday, and lo and behold, they have it ready for me. I ask if I can call before I head out to pick it up, so theyll have it ready for me. They tell me no, to show up, and put my name on a list outside. I pay for the bike over the phone with my CC. I get there to pick up the bike I already paid for, and there are 15 names on a list outside the store ahead of me. I ask a lady how long shes been waiting, and she says over 30 minutes. Another lady crossed her name off the list, as she had been there for 45 minutes, had not been helped and needed to leave. A gentleman from inside the store comes out so I approach him and tell him that all I want to do is pick up the bike I already paid for and head out on my way. He starts scolding me and telling me to wait in line like everyone else. I politely tell him that I already paid for the bike and I cant wait for an hour. All I wanted was the bike so I can head home. He starts scolding me AGAIN. I hand him my credit card, and ask him to refund my money, please. Two minutes later, my bike is brought out to me. Not adjusted to my height despite them asking me my height and measurements on the phone. All they kept telling me for the last week is how busy and understaffed they are during this pandemic. Im trying to buy local and support the business here, but that was the worst experience Ive had trying to spend a good bit of money at a locally owned store. Shameful. Do not shop here. They do not care for their customers.

When you buy a bike here they take the time to fit you to it and adjust it to the right settings. They even went as far as replacing the stock stem to a shorter one that made the ride more comfortable. Thats what they did for my girlfriend when we bought her bike there, and for me they have nicely serviced both of my bikes.

Recently purchased my first road bike (Giant Defy 3). Customer service was great. Im due to bring the bike back in for its first check-up and some minor tweaks. I appreciate the fact that they took the time to go over different aspects of the bike with me prior to me leaving the store and that they did an actual fit to make sure that everything was lining up properly to ensure that I had a comfortable and safe riding bike. I will be a return customer for years to come!

I took my Sons bike to get the training wheels removed as one side of the training wheel was stuck. They did it in 30 secs and didnt take any money. So kind and helpful. I definitely recommend.

Erlton Bike Shop is an awesome business, both for finding the right bike and for customer service! We purchased a gift certificate for our son in 2008 and sadly, over time he lost it as he prepared to go into the army. Since we couldnt find the receipt, we wrote it off as a $200 loss. About a month ago, miraculously, I found the receipt. Though we werent optimistic, we brought the receipt in today (which was quite faded and difficult to read) and without hesitation, the owners said they would honor it. We were blown away by their readiness to accept this faded receipt after all these years!!! Weve bought all of our family bikes there and love the friendly and knowledgeable service. Ive dug my 40+ yr 10 speed out and wanna get back into riding unfortunately its sporting an outta true rear rim, I put a spoke in maybe 10 yrs ago and it was never right again. Do you need the whole bike or just the wheel? Please help me help you change this from a 3 to a 5!

What a great bunch of knowledgeable and helpful people! Their passion about the bicycling lifestyle and business is very evident, and their longevity is quite a testament to that.I had a bad rear wheel, Rich took one look and knew exactly what the issue was, hed seen it countless times. It was a manufacturing defect in the spokes. Its an older bike, so the warranty on them was long gone, so he advised me that a new wheel was really the most cost effective. He had one that fit and essentially matched in stock, and proceeded to flip the cassette, etc over while I waited. There were a few people there already, one buying a bike, another getting a tube replaced, someone else shopping for parts, but I was in and out with no delay!Thanks for the professional service! These folks run a family business and have a clear passion for bicycles. They have absolutely everything, and are careful only to carry quality components, equipment and bicycles. Theyve helped out both my fiance and me, and the prices have been great. Theyre also full of bicycle wisdom: they really know the industry as well as the hobby.

The owner, Rich, was so knowledgeable and friendly. It was like chatting with my uncle! Kept me in my price range, told me the items I really needed and what I could wait on. Great advice and great atmosphere!!

This bike shop is the real deal and everyone that works there is pure class! When I decided I wanted to get a proper road bike (after doing mostly mountain biking and having a hard time keeping up with road bikers on group rides), I visited this shop to look at the latest Giant bikes. From the first time I visited, to the third visit (when I actually pulled the trigger on a Giant Contend 2 SL), Aaron, Rich, Bob and the rest of the staff were nothing short of amazing (and patient) with answering my questions, concerns, giving me test rides of different bikes, shoes, components, etc..I never once felt pressured to buy a bike, or go outside my budget. In the end, after riding several different brands, the Giant was just the right bike for me, so I came in to place the order. Much to my amazement (and excitement), the bike was ready for me to pick up the NEXT day!! Rich went through a thorough fit on a trainer with me (including changing out the stem), and Bob made sure to explain every aspect of maintenance, upkeep and answered every question I had about my new bike, including letting me know that I can bring it in for a tuneup after it gets broken in, and for a full year at that! Well, after my first ride on the new bike today, I am so happy that I chose this bike and this bike shop to buy it at! It feels great and its very well put together - a testament to these guys for doing what they love and doing it so well!

Great bike shop. I tried to get my bike fixed twice down in Texas and neither shop fixed the problem. I brought my bike to Erlton and they had it out in less than a week, no questions asked, problem solved.

The staff at Erlton, especially Emma did a fantastic, thorough job. The other local places (cough kressson, cough) were not able to provide the level of personalized attention that Erlton happily provided. OK so here’s the story: My Father, who has taken up biking, is reluctant to ride that long by himself as he does not really know how to change a flat tire. I called around and the only local bike shop willing to show him, one-on-one was Erlton. Emma was happy to train my father and my father was quite happy with his birthday present! She showed him how to remove and reinstall the front tire and help ed install the hand pump I had bought him. I’ll be buying the Xmas gift there…

Even though I didnt buy my bike here and just needed it fixed because it wasnt put together correctly by a crappy giant blue box store they did some adjustments without a bother. Im annoyed I didnt just spend a few extra bucks and buy my bike here in first place.Everyone was super friendly and will be coming back for any bike related things I need.

I was charged for labor twice. He fixed my back wheel then when I walked out my tired popped on their back porch. So to fix the wheel was 1 charge and the tire was a separate labor charge. He replace only my inner-tube knowing that outter tire cover was bad, so now I have to go back and replace both again.Bottom Line: this business only want your money and will do whatever to get all the money they can.

I am an avid bicycle touring freakazoid and there are many bicycle shops in our area. I go out of my way to visit Rich et al, in Cherry Hill. This is a fantastic mom and pop organization and the folks here are very knowledgeable. Rich himself is a touring guru and even if I dont have any needs I still stop in to say hello.
