One of the best spots in Cleveland in general to grab a cup of coffee. Theres pride in service and quality that you can really see and experience with every cup. Love the constant rotation of differently sourced and roasted coffees. Staff is incredibly kind and patient.

Good strong coffee with a lot of body. This is how a good cup of coffee tastes in most places around the world but the roast lacks finesse so they dont bring out the flavors well.Still, if you are in Cleveland, this might be your best cup of coffee. The diner theme works very well and the staff and ambience is very cozy. 5 stars for the coffeeshop though.

I had a maple cappuccino and it was delicious. My friend had a regular drip coffee and enjoyed it. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Service was fast. Very cute location, too. Covid precautions were followed. All in all, a good experience.

This place is very mellow calm and serene. Come bring your books in study while sipping some of the best coffee around. This is coming from someone that owns a couple of French presses moka pots buys his own coffee beans and grinds them up every day. Ill definitely call myself experienced when it comes to coffee and this place definitely does not disappoint. I got an espresso for $2.50 and it was STRONG! Definitely come give this place a try. Promise you youll come back again

The service was great and the coffee was amazing. The only thing that need improvement is the wifi. It was not connecting well and we were both having problems with it and that made it difficult to work from the shop.

Always a great experience. They take care of you and your kiddos if you have them with a free kids chocolate milk. Good treats and nice to have changing specials. They take pride in their work and knowing you and your order.

A great place to meet with friends or sit quietly in a corner and sip.Coffee flavors are amazing. I have tried several and none have disappointed. While I only make it to the shop about once a week I have exclusively brewed Rising Star at home for several months and will continue to do so.A key detail for me is drink presentation, on a tray with a glass of sparkling water. A small detail, but one that sets them apart from other shops.

Nice location with a great amount of seating. The baristas were very pleasant and the coffee I had was very good. They have a number of options to try but I went with the mocha. They also have some merch and coffee brewing supplies which all looked to be of reputable brands. Very much worth the walk if you are visiting the area.

Unfortunately from out of state, but next time i’m back you’re definitely going to find me here again. staff was super patient and friendly, plus their cream cheese rotation was amazing. lemon salmon cream cheese on cheddar bagel, i’ll say no more. huge thumbs up.

It’s been a minute since I’ve been to Cleveland, but Rising Star gave a warm welcome back. This location looks like a diner turned chic. Stopped in today to get a Cardamom bomb and it was delicious! The barista with the glasses and tat on her arm was super sweet and a pro at her craft. I highly recommend them for yummy espresso and friendly baristas.

Always love Rising Star. Its a great spot for light pastries and fantastic coffees/lattes. However, this spot also looks fantastic as its moved into an old diner! Very cool vibe inside.

The best place to get a cup of Joe on the east side. Their coffee roasts, fantastic. Their lattes (every time I get a different latte art), delicious. Staff, absolutely top notch. They sell all their roasts which are all lighter. I recommend their house espresso blend. A great place to unwind with a friend and good coffee.

Excellent coffee and local roasts. I wanted to give 4 stars because its primarily central and southern American coffee which I find to be more tart and acidic: but the service makes up for it. Everyone here is kind, diligent, soft spoken and approachable. The roasts are extremely consistent and the fact I can get an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Koke wash in January makes this a staple for hardcore coffeeIf youre looking for a great quiet place with great coffee, no thoughts. Go here.

Rising Star was the best place for a rising star like myself to review works Ive written while wording out my final views before attaining my celebrity! A drink-in mug entitled me to two free refills, which provided me with plenty of time to clear out discrepancies that interfered with my personal relationships. 5/5 will return!

All of their shops are clean and well kept. Very nice atmosphere perfect for work or visiting with friends! I havent had a bad coffee or drink from this place; literally everything is good! All the baristas do an incredible job making the drinks just right, and they always are very accommodating for those who are lactose intolerant or vegan.My favorite drink they offer is the Promised Land Latte which I get almost every time I go. Other than that, my favorite bags of coffee to bring home have always been the Damarli Estate or Yuki Project. Both are great via drip or pour over imo.

I have always loved coming to Rising Star, especially this location. Spacious, well lit, consistent the WiFi & never too busy to find a seat. Their African coffees are awesome, & Im a sucker for a local roaster. Great customer service & their coffee knowledge is evident. Definitely a good place to escape from the hospital. Short walk from UH.

Great atmosphere and variety. The staff seem very passionate and knowledgeable about the coffee being served. The only thing keeping it from a 5-star is a few sour cold brews - they wont keep me from coming back and ordering again.

Weve always loved their coffee from Fire restaurant in Shaker Square. The actual coffee place definitely did not disappoint. The coffee flavors are on point and really good.

Quaint, open cafe. Plenty of seating around the cafe, bar style, as well as tables set throughout the area. Enjoyed an excellent cardamom bomb coffee and delectable scone.

I saw outstanding reveals and decided to give a try. Place looks amazing, not too dark, not too bright, considerable space between the wooden tables, which contributes for less noise and an even better working environment. Cons: for someone who calls oneself a java artisan and hang Hario products on the entrance, I was expecting freshly-ground coffee beans. But they instead put it from a thermal bottle and said that was fresh. Besides that, wifi wasnt working. I had some work to do and had to make it to-go. Guess I would give another try though.

Rising Star on Murray Hill has plenty of room to sit and work on school, work, or to meet up with friends. Theyre known for their quality coffee and this location is no different. The most difficult part is the parking. Its all street parking and its usually limited to an hour. The vibe is a little bit more quiet than the other locations that Ive been to, but I didnt feel like I was being annoying when meeting up with a friend.I treated myself to the Promised Land latte which was absolutely delicious. Especially now that other coffee places have raised their prices to provide higher quality coffee, the prices arent as startling as they used to be. If Prestis on Mayfield or the Coffee House on Juniper doesnt have parking available or is not what youre feeling, Rising Star is a great option.

Best espresso Ive had. Its really magical. Everything else is good, but on par with the other shops in town. But seriously, go for the espresso.

Went to the roastery today and like always,smells like you are in a parallel universe that was created for the express purpose of bean education. The staff is great,knowledgeable and accommodating. I can not think of a better all around quality coffee shop and/or roastery in Cleveland.

Coffee roasters and preparers with excellence in their intentions. For coffee feens a must, however, excellence in service varies according to the barista/attendant. It would be wonderful to have consistent excellence!

Recently moved to Cleveland and this is the best coffee spot Ive found - and its walking distance from CWRU and University Hospital! Good coffee, and a nice place to do some remote computer work when you need a change of scenery.
