We installed 4 sections multi projection black system 46 black taupe fancy stripe seven years ago. Shadetree gave a recommendation for a local installer, who did the initial installation. Since we live in Northern Indiana, we remove them in the Fall and replace them in the spring.. The fabric has been fairly easy to clean and continues to look great! It was a great investment!

My experience with Shadetree Canopies was wonderful from start to finish when my canopy was delivered. I love my canopy and everything about it. I couldnt be happier with the quality of my canopy and it really is a beautiful addition to our Pergola. It was very easy to put up and again easy to take down and put away for the season. It has already been put up for this season and I cant wait until it warms up a bit more so we can start enjoying it again. It is wonderful to sit under and not worry about the sun burning you during the day. Putting up our awnings this year, I am still impressed after 16 years how well they look and work. We do remove them in the winter, a little mild soap wash in the spring and they’re good to go. We are still getting comments on how well they look. the one time many years ago I bent a roller really bad and had to order one, I called and actually spoke with the owner, or so I was told. Anyhow, made me feel good at the time, which leads me to a different issue. I had opted not to write a review earlier and instead decided to send a text( It is an option on the home page). I sent pictures and a comment and received a non human robot reply. I asked a question and the generic answer about products, contact info and have I received email promotions was replied again from a robot. One would think that a text from a human might trigger a response from a human, even if it’s the next day. But alas, progress has turned some things colorless. It is not a big thing to most, but to someone who values a handshake over a legal document, it’s a sad dayWhile the awning we own is really a great product, some personal aspect are things of the past. We have had a canopy system for 16 years and still love it. We have replaced the fabric once and since then, we remove fabric for 4-5 months in the winter and it is lasting much better. We recently ordered small plastic replacements parts for the awning, for the first time. Received them in less than a week. Great company.

Visited the Columbus, OH factory location and met with sales consultant who covered many details and answered questions. Staff was very helpful communicating through subsequent emails to answer additional questions and modify the CAD design to get it just right. Ordered a Greenbriar Shade system in January. Order was completed precisely on schedule we had agreed to. They were again very helpful in arranging a convenient pick up time. Erected the system this past weekend and everything went as expected. My compliments to Colin and Wendy and all the other staff at Shadetree.

Just to let you know that I put the whole canopy up by myself. It looks great but the rest of my yard still needs a lot of work so that is why I havent sent you a picture yet. Yes I did have some questions to myself during the process but once you get going they get answered. My canopy is 16x16 and yes my patio sloped 3 in that span but you let me know how to keep the canopy level. I also took the canvas of for the Winter and it only took me 1 hr to put it back on this spring. Thanks Im extremely happy with your product.

Fantastic. Moved into a home that had a Shade Tree canopy that was over 20 years old and needed new material. Shade Tree STILL HAD THE ORIGINAL ORDER. I didnt have to measure anything, and I have a beautiful refreshed, very high quality awning.

Please do not buy the sliding retractable shades. Initial use was great. After a few years (bringing them in each winter) they are nearly worthless. The engineering some of the worst you can imagine. Look for anything else. Lots of great reviews must have been prompted early in use. If you want something that lasts look anywhere else.

After getting the shades up the last of August, there wasn’t as much time to sit under them on the deck. We’re looking forward to getting them up soon this spring. I like the canvas stripe pattern I chose, it’s sturdy fabric and the shades are well made and the track is strong. They did a good job of shielding us from the overhead sun.

We installed our Shadetree Canopy 11 years ago on the west side of our house. In Michigan we enjoy the sun as well as winter....and lotsa wind.Our canopy is stood the test of time. Only now are we replacing some of the hardware. We went with the Sunbrella fabric and it is still looking good.

Our designer was great, answering all of our questions and coming up with solutions to our layout dilemma. Everything was very easy to assemble. We have had it for a year now and it’s really improved the time we spend out on our deck which gets full sun all day.

Mike Ellis from Shadetree in Canada gave us some great advise. We have a backyard pavilion and installed Shadetree’s backyard blinds at the beginning of the season on all 4 sides.Excellent product quality. In addition to cooling when the sun is out we also drop the blinds after dark, turn on our gas fire pit and the blinds keep the heat in on cool nights.Thanks to Mike and Shadetree! We are using our backyard more than ever.

Had covers made for our canopies. They work great and look beautiful. Even though our canopies are many years old, and still in good shape, they matched up covers perfectly.

We had the best customer service experience ever with Shade Tree. Samatha was great at answering questions before we placed our order last year and helping us set up the payment option. We received them in March. They were installed just this past Saturday, April 18. They look great. The installer, Brett said he would send pictures since we are very techy in that respect. Our previous canopies were installed in 2008. So we really needed to replace them. We chose a totally different color and so glad we did. Gave the deck great look.Would highly recommend this company.

We purchased our Shadetree canopies over 15 years ago and they are still looking good! They are durable, attractive, and easy to use. They use Sunbrella fabric that color fast and easy to keep clean when you treat it with a fabric water repellent spray. Our initial purchase was three sections of canopy. A few years later we added a side curtain of the same fabric and the color match was perfect. A good company to work with!

We have had a Shadetree Canopy over our deck for ~9 years and we are totally pleased. It was properly installed and looks nice and makes the deck far more usable that before we got it. If you we to have tried to walk on the deck in bare feet in the summer you would burn your feet. With the canopy, you dont feel any heat, It lets light and vision through while still providing relief from the heat. We are very satisfied.

The entire process from ordering to installation was great. Friends, neighbors and relatives all commented on how great the deck looks and how much cooler it is. Even removing the 9 large sections for the winter was a simple process. After investigating so many alternatives and seeing some of the other products out there, I am very glad that we decided on Shadetree.

Have purchased two systems for different homes over the past 15 years and am totally satisfied with results and the operation. Our current deck is exposed to wind and the canopies release reliably every time. We have replaced the canopy with a different colour last year and the new canopies fit perfectly in the original tracks. An excellent product and good service.

Very easy people to deal with, and a good quality product. The website and the catalogs are very comprehensive. I do suggest that buyers be aware that the mesh shades do let a good bit of heat in. In warm climates, the more expensive opaque fabric would be a better choice.

We love our Shadetree Canopy. We covered an L-shaped patio that was not very useful due to the direct sun at mid-day. Now we are out there all the time - even watching TV. The Shadetree folks were great - sent samples of materials and made an excellent recommendation for an installer.

We live in the San Francisco Bay Area. The afternoon sun is brutal during the summer. We entertained several different ideas/methods to cover our patio and finally found Shadetree Canopies. They are fabulous! The system was installed late December 2005 during landscape remodel. It was finished mid January 2006. We have been so happy with our system. In addition to the overhead awnings, we had them install three shades that we can pull down as the sun is setting. With the addition of the system, we can really enjoy our patio to the fullest. The awnings keep a large amount of sun out of our living room during the summer and fall, however when we pull all the awnings back to the house for winter, we get the sun that we want. We recommend Shadetree all the time!Our installers were very professional and responded to any questions/concerns I had.

I needed to cover a larger area and traditional awnings just would not work or would have been prohibitively expensive. The Shadetree solution worked great.Be aware that this system will not protect you from rain, but for shade they work great.

We put up a set of these retractable canopies in 2002 and they transformed our south-facing deck. We get so many compliments and have loved them to this day (replaced the canvas after typical aging in the elements). The company has been great to work with, too.

We had Shadetree install a canopy on my pergola. Its attractive and beautiful!!! Gives us the shade needed for outdoor living. We get numerous complements from family and friends.

I worked with Don at Shadetree. He is very knowledgeable and was able to match us with the correct type of canopy. We did have a problem with the install. It had nothing to do with the canopy. But Don helped us through it and everything turned out fine.

After 5 years in Floridas sun, heat, wind, and rain, our ShadeTree canopy system still looks great. Other than some minor maintenance on the tracks, it has been problem free. The canopies still look good and there is no sign of wear. We would do it again and recommend it for someone to give the back yard some shade.

I love our Shadetree canopies and all of our friends, family etc really enjoy them. Im also impressed with the companys response to a mistake they made in making the canopies we ordered. They were cut to the wrong size...no problem...mistakes happen...BUT they started replacements immediately and I had them in my home within 1 week ...excellent service! Ive had my Shadetree Canopy for at least 10 years now. It is the best product for my house and has stood the test of time especially since I installed it myself. I get full sun from noon until the sun sets in the summer and this product is perfect for my home.

The canopies that I purchased some 4/5 years ago have lived up to the expectations that I had hoped for. The system lends itself readily to capture the design that I had visualized for a free-standing large ground level deck surface capable of hosting dining and reclining possibilities. I designed an Art Deco top that produced interesting shadows from the sun when the canopies were not deployed. At the same time I chose the see- through canopies that still allowed the art to be seen when the sun dictated they be closed. The last purchase was side curtains that stopped the hot late afternoon sun from ruining dinner meals served on the deck. One interesting idea, that worked out, was choosing mixed colors for the four 5 wide panels that blended in perfectly with the color scheme of the deck furniture. The durability of the canopies have been pleasing. Overall, we have been very satisfied with our decision to purchase from Shadetree. Ive had Shadetree awning now for over 10 to 12 years. I had to replace the first awning set in about the seventh year, and Im on the second replacement set now. I got great service when ordering the replacement. This set is beautiful still, but is beginning to show a little wear. I may have to replace again this spring.

I have had a Shadetree roilup for about four years now and it continue to perform flawlessly. The fabric has held up well, the rollers have no issues and have worked great. I needed to cover a slider that faced west and traditional awnings just would not work. The Shadetree was a good solution and worked great.

We love our Shadetree canopy. We couldnt sit outside without it! The San Antonio sun is brutal. Even our cocker spaniels stay under the canopy! Our canopy is 5 years old now. We purchases canopies for our pergola last summer. Before we got them we were unable to use our deck except in the late evening when the sun was behind our neighbors garage. Our Shadetree awning is the only think that would work with our existing pergola. Its easy to install - theyve done a great engineering job that eliminated all my concerns about how perfectly I had to do things. The unit would get five stars except for two issues. One is that leaves get caught in the shallow fabric loops. Its not that easy to remove them. The second is that water and leaf stains show through on our single color fabric. For our application, we needed the larger width fabric which didnt come in stripes.

Great shade option for our Pergola, Sturdy. Has lasted 5 years or more. Good shade allowing us to enjoy our backyard in the daytime heat.

My husband Ralph & I bought our Shade Tree canopies 10 years ago. When the canopies are pulled over the little courtyard of our front walkway it looks like an oasis. We have big pots of geraniums and hostas that add color. I also have flower pots that I painted with bright designs .People who walk up to our front door love all the color and the shade from the canopies. Its like walking into a garden of Eden. Because of our hot Texas sun in the summer we couldnt enjoy our front walkway without Shade tree canopies. LOve our Shade Tree canopy system.

The product was decent... not extremely sturdy but it looked good and did its job for the most part. However... the customer service was the worst Ive ever experienced. I had to call the BBB on them to get my canopy back which was there being repaired under warranty. They took nearly 2 months to fix my stuff and were rude and argumentative whenever I questioned them as to why it was taking so long. The whole notion of The Customer Is Always Right was definitely not even a shadow of a thought with these guys. I looked at their reviews at the BBB and found that I was not the only one who had had problems. Its a nice looking product but Heaven Forbid something go wrong with them and you actually need customer service because theirs is TERRIBLE... Id look elsewhere if I did it again.

We saw ShadeTree products at both thevDayton and Columbus, OH Home Shows. We compared them to other similar vendors and thought ShadeTree seemed the simplest and most maintenance free. We had a 10x20 covered pergola installed late summer 2016 and didnt get to use it much. However we are anxiously looking forward to using it next spring. We also bought covers for our shades instead of taking them down each fall. They installed easily. We are very happy with our decision to purchase from ShadeTree.
