Above and beyond. Very happy about this store. Fresh and new items with reasonable prices. They always have big varieties of fresh vegetables . Freezer items like paratha, chapathi vegetables are always full. Very friendly staff. Large very clean and neat store. Keep it up guys

My mom and I just went into the Asian grocery in Cromwell because for mom it was a blast from the past! We wanted to see how things have changed. They have really expanded and we got wonderful advice on Indian foods to try cooking this week. We learned about Indian Bitter Melon and how to prepare it from Reynold, ( I am assuming he’s the owner ) what a great guy!

I always go there for fresh vegetables and fruits. Friendly staff and clean space.

I came in here looking for Asian food products and found maybe a few Asian items. This place is called Asian groceries but YET all they have is 99% Indian based foods. The name of this place is very deceiving. Only thing I walked out with was rice paper they didn’t even have the basics like nori seasoning 🤦🏽‍♀️

What an absolutely delightful experience! I am new in the area and I stopped to grab a sandwich nearby and saw an amazing garden filled with Asian vegetables, some of which I recognized, and some of which were new to me. I took pictures of the ones that are new to me and went inside the store to get more information. The young man there who appeared to be the manager, was charming, helpful and very friendly. He dropped everything he was doing to answer my questions and definitely made me feel like a valued customer. He taught me About the Indian vegetables and how they could be cooked. It turns out his father is the gardener. I also picked up several Indian kitchen staples. They had a fantastic selection and reasonable prices. I will make it a point to come here often. It’s a really great store! Highly recommend.

A very spacious well stocked store. Helpful staff. Its quiet a drive for me to get here, but this is probably the only store in the Hartford area that has all what you want especially if you are looking for things from Southern part of India.

One of the best Indian grocery store in Connecticut. Very king employees, they have everything we need.They always have fresh vegetables, but they should label all items. Much more easier when someone speak Gujarati.

Compared to other stores price is reasonable

I had to literally throw everything i purchased. None of the items have expiry date and it was stinking so bad once i opened the packets, i had to immediately throw them. Stale stuff is what you find here

Smells good in here, lots of spices, fresh veggies. Asian specific food. I checked it out because it is in walking distance for me, but didnt buy anything, didnt even check to see if they had general groceries. I dont really cook enough to need specific ingredients like these.

This is the best Indian store I have ever been in. And I have been shopping in different ones for years. Not only do they have amazing products. But the people that run the store are absolutely the best. Friendly and always wanting to please. Parking is easy.

Excellent store, reasonable prices and very helpful owner. Lot of their vegetables are home grown so very fresh. He will special order stuff for you if they do not have it in stock. I drive almost an hour to shop at this store.

This is good store and till now our experience is very good i am visiting there for more than a year without any issues.There staff is good but this time i have one strange experience during my last visit i purchase one piece of cheese(paneer) but they charged for 5 pieces and as usual i didn’t verify my bill back at home my wife checked the bill and she noticed the same and then on my next visit i asked about the same and then they said you have purchased 5 items although they have mentioned in bill qty as 5 oz not pieces. Now they suggested to check bill before leaving and I appreciate their suggestion so i request all please check your bills before you leave store. Still i will say store is good But be careful for this kind of scenarios.

Worst customer service. Any simple question asked will be replied in a condensending manner. No price tag on items. If asked about the price, they will just ignore it. Worst worst worst customer service. Have heard a lot of people quit going to this store because of this. Now I am one amoung them.

They carry all kind of Indian food items. What they don’t have they will get it for you. I have been going to them for over 20 years same friendly service and a nice place to shop. Any questions I have or if I cannot find something they are happy to help. I really like this store.

Wide range of Indian subcontinent items are available here. Staff are so friendly. They have a vey good collection of rice varieties. Some Indian vegetables are grown in nearby lot and are freshly plucked to the stalls.

They were super nice. When asked if they had a product, they declined but were able to provide it within hours. They also stated theyll soon be carrying more West Indian/Caribbean items - which Im excited for.

I have been going to this place for good 7 years now even before they moved to Cromwell. They have almost everything you need. If they don’t have it, they will order it for you! Here you will get expired products. If you dont care you can shop till you get sick.The owner has a serious attitude issue.You cannot advise him about getting expired products which he sells over the shelves. The frozen products are not maintained in correct temperature and stay for months with no supervision of replenishing.The car parking is a disaster. Be careful when driving in and out of the parking lot. Most of the products are their home packaged which they sell on shelves with no proper vacuum packaging. Also be aware of rats and crickets.Just because he sells low does not mean that you should buy. Health is important for your family.Feel free to comment..

It should be named an Indian grocery store. There are no Korean or Chinese or Vietnames grocery. There are a lot of spices and many different brands of rice, almost all from India. There were few organic items...very few. There are vegetables which were not temperature controlled but were not spoiled. I went there to get spices so I found what I needed. Good parking.

Good South Asian grocery and fresh produce. The biggest store in the state .Fresh produce every day. Freezer section and spices section filled with different varieties but most of them are over priced than other stores. There is price tag only for 50% of the items. So we have to find some one to ask the price. Popular items like coconut, fish and spices price increase every time I visit. Checkout and parking is easy . If youre a budget friendly, its not the place to shop!

I purchased from Asia Grocers today around 4:28:48 PM and I purchased for an amount of $ 120.02 . I brought several items from them and they have charged me for a item extra (Dal-3Qty-8LB instead of two Qty of 8LB dal ) . I reached home in 30 minutes verified all my items with the bill and found this discrepancy. I called the stores immediately and they say it’s not possible for them to refund $10.99 . Disgusting and unbelievable. They say that you have to check everything before leaving the stores . I brought 27 items totally most of it of several LB”s and they want me to check each and every item before leaving the stores . I am posting this friends because I don’t want you to lose your hard earned money .I have the invoice handy with me.

This is the best Indian Grocery store in CT. The owner always receives you with a smile and his staff are very helpful. But they still need to take action on some rude customers.

We can get everything that we need to make an Indian dish but missing some prices. Good customer service, the employees are always smiling. The Indian girl is very friendly with our kids, they like to see her again. The manager is always ready to help you and order everything that you need.

Thoroughly disappointed with this store. Will never order from this place ever again. We ordered groceries to be delivered at home. They have overcharged us on almost all the items and have given brand names that we have seldom heard about.

I’m leaving 5 stars because I don’t want to hurt this business, but it’s advertised as an asian grocery store, but should be advertised as strictly Indian. They do not have any Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Japanese groceries. So this is a great place to go if you need Indian food/groceries, not a good place to go if you need any food from other parts of Asia.

Very fresh fruits and vegetables in large quantities. It has unique varieties of fruits and vegetables. I was delighted to get red colour leafy vegetables just grown in outside lot near the store parking.

I would say this is the best Indian store for Cromwell, Middletown and rocky hill area. This place is so clean and well maintained as compared to other Indian stores in the vicinity. The variety of products is huge and the store arrangement is pretty good as well. The vegetables are good quality and priced low as well. The associates here are very polite and eager to help.

This store is AMAZING. It is the biggest, cleanest and most modern Asian/Indian store I have been to. The selection of fresh exotic vegetables and fruits is unrivaled. They also have a vast frozen food section which seems to span an entire city block. My wife and I look forward to playing in the kitchen with our India cookbook this weekend.

Expired items are sold.Last week got Lays chips.We were not able to see the manufactured date and expired date because of Nutrition Facts sticker was sticked on top of the mfg date label.By removing the Nutrition fact sticker we got to know it was expired one month back.Please be careful with expired products.

The place offers a wide range of Indian and Asian groceries and the veggies and fruit are fresh. I would not recommend getting those Frozen and packaged sweets as they taste really odd ( If youre craving for that authentic taste).

Fresh vegetables with reasonable prices. I have been going to Asia groceries for more than a decade (previous location and this). Definitely a good place to should vegetables and most groceries. However this place do not sell all major brands of daals and flours, thats the thing I dont like about this place. They have alternatives but quality is hit or miss. It scores high because of it’s sheer size and collection. It is a large store compared to any other Indian grocery store in the Connecticut. Things are kept in am organized fashion making it easier to browse.They could improve upon putting the correct price against each item. I would not recommend these Asia grocers stores to any one because everything that they sell is old and they sell it at the highest price as they could. Also, the employees are treated poorly, some of them are not even paid minimum wage. The employer tells some of the employees as long as he is making enough money for himself that’s all he cares about.

They have everything, amazing store and very hard worker employees. Some customers are very rude to them, they should take action on it!

Most of the produce here is damaged in some fashion or starting to rot. The fruit are starting to go bad, but still left out... some of them have holds in them and bruised. The vegetables look old.Otherwise, you can get the basic asian necessities... They are definitely not good for you... majority of them are fried, filled with fat and processed. They also lack variety in mixers and do not have some of the most common Indian chips like jack fruit chips.They have plenty of space as well, but no cafe like many other locations... quite disappointing honestly.
