I am so tired of self check outs. I shop every two weeks and purchase big loads and I also shop early to avoid crowds. Today I again had to do self check out and missed a couple of bags on the turnstile. I am going to start driving 14 miles to Publix to get groceries from now on. They have better customer service. Even when you ask to be checked out by a cashier the staff gives you attitude. Only once these past few months has one employee been nice about checking me out. I’m older and it takes a lot to shop then do your own self checkout. Bye bye Kroger. I’ll also be posting this on social media too.

I ordered a birthday cake for my six year old. I went in on the day I was supposed to pick it up, and the girl said the order was put in for the next day not that day so I asked for the time to be changed. Went in the next day on the time another girl said it would be done, it wasn’t. Then a girl said she could have it done in 15 minutes. I went back to pick it up it looked great, but was not the white cake I ordered. It was chocolate and my six year old doesn’t like chocolate so she got a cake she wouldn’t even eat. I would not recommend getting a cake from the bakery.

I have mixed emotions about Kroger is very clean their food is very fresh but I am also tired of self check out and not enough employees I find myself having to always scan my groceries and not have anyone to help me carry them out

My husband and I visited the Kroger on Walnut Avenue earlier today. On our way into the store we witnessed a Kroger employee, a young man, collecting shopping carts from one of the parking lot cart return corrals. This young man was going to the other side of the cart return, to the next isle over, and he was pushing several carts between the cart corral and a older model, restored, Chevrolet truck. It was cold and most likely didnt want to take the carts the long way around to retrieve the other carts on the next isle over. The young man struggled to get the several carts between the corral and the older model blue Chevrolet truck, and he ran the carts INTO THE DRIVERS SIDE BED OF BLUE CHEVY TRUCK. This young man hit the truck with the carts and just continued on with his business. We were angry to witness this blatant disregard for someone elses property. SHAME ON YOU YOUNG MAN. The reason I gave a two star review is the young lady at the self checkout was taking good care of the customers. She was hustling and taking care of every one with a smile and a pleasant demeanor. Kudos to that young lady.

So many found memories of shopping here with the then boyfriend and going to Starbucks when I visited Dalton. When I would come to Dalton for interviews or on my way somewhere I always always stopped here not just for the Starbucks but for the memories of the days when Dalton was going to be home, the Dalton PD was the best police department and was family and when life wasnt a mess of people trying to destroy me. This was always my favorite Kroger.. and second favorite Starbucks.

No Apple Pay. Only at self checkout.

Im only giving one star because Google requires it as a minimum. Apparently this location today was vastly understaffed, and the staff available was bottom of the barrel. After navigating around stockers carts just left in aisles, as well as the abundance of boxes of merchandise left on the floor for the next worker to put it away, I made my way to the checkout. There were three actual lanes open that were not self checkout on a Sunday at 1pm. The three lines were long and customers and baskets stretched down the center. Aisle 9 had fewer people, so I maneuvered my cart over. After getting up to the belt to begin unloading my groceries the clerk said, It may be a few minutes, Im waiting on someone from Guest Services. I look around and confirm they havent opened any other lanes and shrugged my shoulders. I dont mind waiting compared to getting out of line and walking behind the 12-15 other baskets. After about 5 minutes the clerk, Arika, pulls the lady in front of me cart and starts loading her groceries. She said I am going to check you out on 7 since its taking so long. I figured we were moving the line to 7, but she said that wasnt her lane. The man behind me asked her where should we go, and Arika just shrugged. I made my way to the self checkout (200+ worth so not self checkout friendly) and I painstakingly began scanning. 15 minutes later, my husband found me and took over the task. Since you have to wait for the scanner to clear after bagging, it takes a few seconds in between each item. Since he took over, I glanced around and saw Arika back over at her lane 9, with no customers. I walked up and told her that she did NOT belong in customer service. This woman with the blue hair actually looked up and said, I am not in customer service I told her she was, that was exactly what her job was and to leave us there and walk off was rude and unprofessional. Arika then screamed, THATS NOT MY JOB at me. I looked back and told her exactly my point of why she should not be in customer service. It was everything in me not to leave my $200+ worth of groceries sitting there, but I realize theres no point.

At 5:15 pm, right when everyone gets off work, you only have one register open. I am an instacart shopper & I have to deliver the groceries on time to the customer.

Love the place. Open 24 hours. Always find what I need. Friendly service. Just hate the parking lot. Best time to go is at night when there is better parking and less people to deal with.

To whom it may concern,After much deliberation I decided to shop at Kroger on Walnut Avenue in Dalton, GA., April 9, 2020, the Kroger that my family and I frequent several times weekly. I felt like it would be safe to shop there due to the fact that your Chairman and CEO Rodney Mcmullen had sent out numerous emails stating how Kroger is doing their part to better allow for social distancing during this time such as only allowing 50% of regular occupancy in each store at a time. He made sound like being able to keep a safe distance from others wouldn’t be a problem. When I arrived at the store at approximately 9:30am, I saw a sign on the door explaining the 50% occupancy precaution. However, there was no-one at any of the doors monitoring the amount of people in the store. When I went into the store, there was nothing anywhere to clean my grocery cart. Thankfully, I had my own clorox wipes. There weren’t too many people there when I first arrived, but about a quarter of the way through the store, it started getting packed. I couldn’t get away from people. There was no way that I could keep 6 feet away. There were lines on the floor at check out but no employees near to bring that to customers attention and to enforce it. By the time I was finished shopping and ready to check out the store was even busier than normal. As I checked out there were other customers in line ignoring or not noticing the lines on the floor that were intended for distancing. Now that I think back on this experience I regret not leaving the store immediately abandoning my already full shopping cart. I was so stressed out by the time that I left that I do not plan on ever returning to Kroger to shop. I will go somewhere that cares more about their customers and their employees.Tamara G Hildebrand

The Starbucks was horrible. If I could leave zero stars I would. The man that made our drinks was so unpleasant. He didn’t fill up any of our drinks and didn’t even bother to top them with whipped cream even though they were coded to. He didn’t even call out our names. Just had a sour face and didn’t clean the milk pitcher between drinks. Disgraceful!! I would not recommend.

Kroger on Walnut Ave is awful with hateful employees! I went last night and they were out of some sale items (not the first time) they told me to come back tonight and they would have them. I go back tonight and they still don’t have them. I talked to the manager and explain and told him it was a drive for me to shop at Kroger and he said “yeah me too” He told me I could get rain checks. When my husband asked for rain checks Jessica told him to go see somebody else. Long story short Jessica says I don’t really know what you want me to do as she huffed and walked off. I told her if she didn’t like her job and didn’t want to be there she needed to go home. She turned around and scream at me “your not going to have an attitude with me and I am good at my job thank you! Lots of costumers around. She only have me 2 of the 3 rain checks I asked for! She wrote those 2 and walked out the door. I am done with this Kroger!

Love Kroger. I only shop here and have for years. The variety they have in anything is absolutely incredible! Always good and fresh produce. It really pays to shop here for the gas points as well. I also love the new feature of ordering online and picking up. Vanessa usually brings out our groceries and we just love her! But everyone that works there is wonderful and always provide amazing customer service. Will always shop here!

Just passing through on the way to fl...stopped for gas and went in for a few items and was totally impressed!! Very clean and organized with lots of variety! Loved the floral dept...they had unusual flowers you dont normally see and the normal ones! I wish my local Kroger was like this one! Kudos to the managers and associates!

This store is close, its always clean & I have enjoyed shopping here for many years. The ASSOCIATES are great to assist you and very courtesy HOWEVER the store manager has been very rude to us on at least 3 different occasions. I would never suggest using the Kroger pharmacy because every aspect of that pharmacy is terrible from their lack of willingness to assist to horrible attitudes. Overall, I love this store if you steer clear of the store manager & the pharmacy. I still give them 4 stars!!!!

Clean staff friendly and helpful many choices fresh produce and brands well worth the drive although they do not have enough motorized carts I waited and got a cart that wasnt charged so had to cut my grocery trip short😮

I love Kroger! Inside Kroger is the Krobar where you can sit and relax and enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer for only $3. You can bring food or pick up something at the deli and have a quick bite.

I happened to be in town doing some work and this store was convenient to the hotel I was staying at. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. The store was very clean and made for a good shopping experience.

Its awesome. You need to have a little bit of knowledge or brews and what you like but they have cheap testers if youre unsure. I recommend this place for a go to.

A good basic grocery store. Has most everything you would need and is clean and fairly well organized. The only downside is that they use those marketing schemes where you have to walk the whole store to get the basics that you might need.

Prices a little high but they sometimes have really wonderful deals on healthy items. Best veggies around short of a farmers stand. I dont like that they got rid of their health food section and replaced it with an alcohol tasting station. They are sure pushing the Alcohol for sure.

Dont believe Ill be back can live with the higher prices and the low choices but with high prices I expect to see when 1 overwhelmed person is trying to man the overwhelmed self checkouts at late hours someone should assist them to get people checked out quicker bagboys could help instead of being on their phones in parking lot

Best supermarket in Dalton but they dont have much competition. Clean, friendly employees and a good selection. Prices are a little high but hey they have a bar.

Incredibly disappointed with Dalton Krogers service right now. I have two plates in my ankle, and I am a mom of a newborn. I always ask questions up front to avoid extra walking and pain. I asked the woman at the self checkout if they had the huggies wipes that were on sale. She said they did and told me the two places they would be. All the way in the back corner of the store. I couldnt find them, walked around five minutes looking for help, and he directed me to the baby aisle. No wipes. I went up from and waited another ten fifteen minutes for a sweet gentleman to look. No wipes in the store. Now Im in pain, my newborn is fussy, and this could have all been avoided by going the extra step to get the correct answer.

Men’s restroom was (is) always a mess. Today I entered and found paper towels on the floor. Toilet paper on the floor. Bathroom stall lock busted. Paper towel dispenser broken and hanging open. Soap dispenser broken and without soap. I feel the bathroom is a direct reflection of the store manager. A member of the staff should check the condition of the restroom hourly. If the restroom is this bad what else is subpar here?

Very clean and organized. Came to get sushi and they had a huge selection. They have a worker there that makes the sushi as well so if they dont have something you want then you can ask for him to make it for you.

Ordered chicken tenders, sandwich platters, fruit tray and cake for a company function and everything was amazing. The fruit was so fresh, the chicken tenders just that..tender. The cake was so moist. Thank you Kroger for making me a star today.

The management was incredibly rude and unhelpful. The lines for cashier lanes had backed up into the isles. There were no bag persons. This problem has been consistent for two or three months. In the thirty years I have shopped at this Kroger I have never seen it so mismanaged. The management said they were catering to the other shopping options. For those who buy alot their care of them is abominable. I really cant believe His rudeness and condescending nature. I will be looking for other options. I want a grocery store not a convenience store that punishes those who buy more groceries.

Ask an assistant if they could help me fine a specific brand of wine. And immediately the employee tells me he doesnt know where to look and leaves. Nice job.

Great place to buy products its pretty cheap as well if you dont have the membership card then its normal price but if you have the Kroger card then its good. If you have coupons then that will help you a lot in Kroger if you know how to coupon then you can get a lot of stuff for a cheap price. This place also has Starbucks inside so if you want a nice coffee there you go.

Do not, I repeat, do not use the delivery service on the Kroger app. They will give you several delivery window times but they will not deliver your groceries!! I picked a window between 4pm and 5pm, not only did I not receive my groceries, they sent an email after 5pm letting me know my order would not be delivered. Not even a phone call, just an email. Terrible first impression! You are better off using Clicklist.

The staffs go out of their way to make my shopping easier and my pharmacy experiences is one of a kind. The pharmacist always try to get me the best prices for all my medications .they are great and I am thankful .

High quality and very classy store. The best variety of food in all aspects from fresh to frozen. Outstanding bakery and deli that serves hot food for the individual or family meal. Produce has the best selections in town. Clean, well kept restrooms for shoppers convience. This is the only grocery store our town needs. I cant say enough great things about Kroger on W Walnut Ave. They also have a pharmacy. Pre-order pick groceries, books, and many other fantastic things to offer their customers.

I have lived in Dalton for 13 years and have shopped her regularly the whole time. In the last 3 weeks I have puchased 2 cartons of spoiled soymilk (4 months before expiration!), a bag of onions (HALF of which were rotten and black inside), and an orange that was mislabeled as the wrong variety from this Kroger. When I called customer service and politely asked to speak to the manager they placed me on a very long hold only to then tell me that the manager was too busy to speak with me and they would take a message. They then took no note of what had happened with no promises of how they would fix things going forward. I am very disappointed. Will be taking my business to Food City.

I love this store! Its huge and has everything you could possibly want in a grocery store! It has Starbucks, beautiful new wine tasting area, huge deli, bakery, full service meat department, a very helpful pharmacy, and a great deal more!!I love the new scan, bag, go option which helps me follow how much Im spending in real time, allows me to price check anything, or call for help if needed! Its also nice that Im able to avoid the hassle of baging a cart full of groceries in a very compact space BUT.... Its not really that much of a problem since they installed a second self checkout section! Going back to the wine... They have a huge selection which includes an area that is locked to protect the $500 wine!I also love the staff! Every employee is eager to help you in any way they can! Theres a new young man in the meat department who came to my rescue to help me find something right in front of my face! I think his name is Tristan. Theres also an older gentleman who stocks the shelves and sings a bit here and there. He went out of his way to help me find something I needed. It was out of stock but he went out of his way again to help me and found what I needed in the back! The cashiers are super patient and helpful also!This is a great place to shop! Youll thank me once you do!! :)

This is my go to grocery store when I have to go. They also have a large organic and fresh foods section. If you want something more than likely they will have it.

Great place to shop however the bag boys have no training what so ever I mean they put a big Carton of milk on top of the bananas. Pack your own and you wont have any problems.

This Kroger has the Dirtiest bathrooms Ive ever seen in a grocery store. I mean the mens restroom by the Starbucks always looks like a truck stop bathroom where the toilet has overflowed into the floor that is covered in human waste. Dont go in there if you are wearing flip flops or sandals. The store is too nice for this to always be the case. When I have entered at my own risk, it seems to usually be outta soap too. There is a bathroom over by the pharmacy, but it is always occupied, probably because the others are a biohazard. If you dont have kids or never need to use the restroom, then disregard, but if you have kids or ever need to go, this is a warning.Other than that, which means a lot, the employees are all helpful, they have a good beer selection, and a good location.I prefer food city though.

Everyone needs to use the scan and go system! You get the scanner and bunch of bags when you go in and scan and bag as you go. It keeps track of how much money everything is and when you get up front you scan the register pay then leave. Easy peasy!!!

Had to get Zack to help me get some thing off the top shelf that I could not reach. I thought he was behind me, but alas, when I got to the destination, he was gone. I found a grocery gatherer to jump and get the product. Then, at checkout, the line was backed up so they offered me a self checkout. I told them that was not going to happen, so they opened a line for me. Then they complained that they was in job jeopardy for doing that when they were in charge of self checkout. I replied that I paid their wages by shopping there and they were finally doing something constructive.

This is one of our favorite grocery stores to shop at. Although its not the cheapest the quality is always outstanding.

Decent organic selections, especially produce. Organic options are not so easy to find at other grocery retailers in the area. Service here is always great. Its a huge difference between shopping here and shopping at Food Lion or Walmart.

Stockers made a mess of the place today, blocking aisles and leaving boxes on the floor. I tripped on one but was fortunate enough to grab something before I hit the floor. The stock clerk did nothing to help.

They have a large section of vegan products. I wish they would stock more varieties of the Daiya pizzas. I found the Just vegan egg there today.

They need to let the employees know they need to be polite and not treat customers with a bad attitude specially the older employees and a lady that is there in the morning she was very rude
