My wife and I rented a tandem kayak to go to Crab Island. The price was reasonable and the staff was really chill. We are amateurs, but it took us only 15 minutes. Its a much more affordable way to check out the sandbar and not difficult. We would do it again!

Great selection of kites. ALL different kinds. A lot of them are up on the wall and ceiling so you can actually see them. Cartoons, themes, and also plain looking higher end kites as well. Highly recommend this store.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here! A young man named Jay set us up with a two person kayak for a two hour rental and on his recommendation we spent half our time paddling around the harbor and half swimming off of the peninsula right across the channel from Kitty Hawk Kites. Plenty of opportunities to swim off the kayak in the shallows. The beaches are pristine and the water is not unlike the Caribbean! Parking at the Destin Harbor Boardwalk is $10 for the day. Plenty of benches with views along the boardwalk...some in the sun, some in the shade, and there are plenty of establishments offering food and refreshment. Great barefoot fun to be had...just be sure to put your water shoes back on when you return to the docks as the metal gangways get plenty of direct sun throughout the course of the day.

Went to this store about a month ago. My husband and I both had masks on - it’s not required but we still wore ours. The cashier, older blonde woman - looked at me and said, “ you won’t need them masks after Election Day when Trump wins”. I then put the items back on the shelf and walked out. We never even talked to her, we had no signs of who we were voting for and ironically..... we actually both worked for Trump in the 90’s for over 19 years. She didn’t know us from Adam... but thought, based on us wearing a mask, we somehow infringed on her? I wonder how many other mask wearing customers walk out of this store just based on her comments?

This is the second Kitty Hawk kites that I have visited. They were both well stocked with a wide variety of kites and accessories. Blend that with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, WOW!!!!!!!

The #1 place to shop for top-quality kites and colorful wind art! They also have plenty of other great products including silk screen t-shirts, toys, board games, shoes, and souvenirs. One of the coolest shops in Destin!

We went in there with our siblings. The lady was being awful to us for absolutely no reason. She told my brother he could look inside a box that had a toy inside and he did. He was respectful and put it back sealed the box, and put it where it belonged. Later, she yelled at me and my sister that we kept opening boxes and not putting anything back. I told that her I did not (because I didnt.) And she says yeah sure ok Ill get your dad to set you straight. Ok. Not a super great experience, the staff was extremely rude and I wouldnt go again

First time kayaking with my husband, they instructed us on how to use the kayak and safety precautions. We had a blast! We highly recommend this place! Especially to go to Crab Island

Great kites for all ages and skill level! Nice selection of Destin and Emerald Coast shirts. Toys, gifts, and more. Kayak and SUP rentals on-site. Worth stopping in whether you are a local or on vacation.

Not sure why this place gets good ratings based on my visit. Its a gift store there are tons of them to go to. Chose one thats clean and doesnt look like a kids bed room. (Sorry for the sarcasm but seriously!)Someone mentioned the prices are good. They are pretty on par with all the other places nothing stuck out.(Note to Mgt. I know you guys are in a high traffic area but this is unacceptable you should have employees staged around to ensure people arent just dumping sales items around.)

Mark, Pete, and I got some SUPs. So we decided to SUP while saying SUP. Other people asked if it was SUP but we were all like SUP. Highly reccomend SUPing and renting SUPs from here.

Got here before they opened and waited. Supposed to open at 9 and wasnt here. Went into the kitty hawk gift shop and the girl said she didnt know when brandon was going to be there and it depended on traffic. She didnt act like she would help find out at all... there were other angry customers that left
