Called Detroit Glass Block and 4 days later two windows installed. Very understanding of what was needed and got it done.

Unfortunately, the customer service is not up to par. The first time around I called for a quote, I promised they would come by… no call no show. I reached out a few times within that month and never for a return call. Then several months later I called again and the quote was now higher like 50% increase. I agreed because I just wanted the windows and it was still good pricing plus I wanted to support a black owned business.They came out this time and did a great job (so I thought). After they left I went to look at the work both inside and out. There was broken glass everywhere inside my home and my child could have injured himself. Huge pieces of glass. It took me 2 hours to clean up after their job something that could have been life threatening. Both inside and outside there was broken glass everywhere.He apologized and offered me a discount on the remaining windows I needed to get installed. I agreed. And everything was still fine. Then I noticed two of the windows were crooked. I called back and sent photos. He agreed to fix them. We set a date that later went on to be rescheduled 3 times with the final one being cancelled the morning of. He never answered my calls after Nor responded to text. I was extremely disappointed in the service. Don’t promise your customers things you don’t intend to do also I paid to have windows installed correct not crooked windows. But things happen we are all human but to not come correct it like you promised is so unprofessional. On top of that he inconvenienced my whole day by not showing up to appointments. Highly upset.

Fortunately for me, Byron still had my information and was willing to honor the original quote that was provided. He and his team did an amazing job and addressed any concerns I had, as well as, all my questions! I would definitely do business with them again, should the opportunity present itself. Never called me back

I made appointment. DGB called me back told me they had cancelation. So they came couple days early. I had 10 windows that needed block in the Grosse Pointe Woods area. 2 guys showed up and started work immediately. Guys were profesional, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend and suggest you give them a try. Im in the construction business and would refer them out if that means anything.

Byron did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. We love our new glass block window. Byron was professional and responsive with communication.

Byron of Detroit Glass Block replaced 6 of my old basement windows, and I couldnt be happier - he even worked in the rain (I forced him to let me hold an umbrella over him). He does terrific work, has a great personality, and charges a fair price. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would. Im very happy with the work, the price, and the service. Oh yea, and he said the work comes with a lifetime warranty - his lifetime - He said, If anything happens, give me a call and Ill come out and fix it as long as Im still alive.

I use Google often to research different businesses, people, restaurants, etc. I wanted glass block installed in my dinning room. I noticed the reviews with Detroit Glass Block. I called him (Mr. Byron). He answered, came gave an estimate & asked when would I like my windows installed. Well today was the day. I must say he did an excellent job. I love my windows. I would recommend his service to any one in need of glass block.

Reached out to get an appointment for a quote. Told that someone would come by that afternoon/evening. Never showed. That turned into, Ill come by in the morning. I had to ask what time. No response until 11AM. Got a text saying Im in the area. and that Id get a call when Im on my way. No text, no call, no show. Would have appreciated being told something like the current work load was too much and I could be scheduled for the following week or that the job doesnt just isnt worth the time.

Unfortunately, I have to rate this business as 0/5 stars. Im disappointed that its come to this given the quality of the other reviews.I needed some basement windows replaced. I contacted Byron by phone on Tuesday 10/29 and he agreed to do the work on 11/5 at 9am. The price was reasonable, too. Byron texted me that night to confirm the 11/5 date.I had to take a vacation day on 11/5 and by 10am Byron did not arrive. I called for three hours before I got through and was told that I wasnt written on the big schedule so he was at someone elses job. I can understand that mistakes happen, so agreed to give him another chance by coming out on Monday 11/11 in the morning.On Friday 11/8, we texted and agreed to push the date back to 11/12 because of the incoming snowstorm (totally reasonable and not a problem).I am now taking my second day off work and writing this on 11/12 because Byron did not show up nor contact me that he wont be arriving. I find the lack of communication and follow-up disappointing, particularly since he already failed to show up once before. If its an issue with physically working in the temperature or the temperature necessary for the materials to cure, I can understand, but I am left waiting at my house with no information and no explanation for the second no-show.I feel that a business would take extra care to make it up when a customer agrees to a second chance. After losing two days of vacation, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I hope Byron can use this review to improve the appointment and follow-up process because I have to believe the other positive reviews are factual and can speak to his craft.
