These guys were excellent to work with. Let me test drive the car by myself, no time limit, 3 separate times. They gave me a good deal and are super friendly. Would highly highly recommend. They are also willing to bring cars from their other location, which was super helpful so I didnt have to drive as far. I would say they had a lot of cars that were in good condition and at fair prices. Considering the current hot market they had a lot of good options. Definitely worth giving a visit!!!

Super low trade-in values (ignore their trade-in appraisal tool, its a total scam), missing paperwork, super slow trade payoff (Nothing like your bank hounding you for payment when you dont even have the vehicle anymore), missing floor mats, wrong plates, hidden fees, and on and on.Had a bad experience with this dealer and I would not recommend them.

Searching for a new car can be super stressful. I had checked out a few places before I came to Velocity Auto Sales in Draper. David was very helpful and information with helping me make a final decision between two cars. He made the process so easy and went above and beyond to make sure I was making the right choice. Customer service here is a joke! Mechanic working with my car was great the service representative on the other hand. Yes I bought from a used car dealership but I was told everything was good to go and this is my fourth time I’ll be driving back to get something done. Worst experience and definitely don’t recommend.

Great car very very shady finance person.They tell you one thing and then try to sell you extras you dont need. Best advice I can give anyone is to get a loan and money from your bank or credit union and take it directly to them. What ever you do dont have them finance through them.

DO NOT SELL YOUR CAR HEREExtremely disappointed. I went in to get my car appraised in hopes to sell the car. As I went in, they asked me a number of questions regarding the car. I was hoping to be asked for around 26k-27k for my car, as the average cost of the car was going for 30k-33k for the condition my car was in. Looking back, I feel extremely chipped off. They asked questions designed to understand my knowledge of the car (after letting them know there was 2 previous owners).They came back telling me my title was salvaged/branded, which really confused me because the previous owner did not disclose that during the sell. So I was believed it was, and ended up trying to sell it privately after they lowballed me with a 21k offer. So I offered it for 23.5k on KSL(saying it was a salvaged title) for months. After exhausting my decisions, so I finally took it to Carmax. Carmax offered me 26k and told me it did not have a salvaged title. I will admit it was my fault for not double checking their information with my current lien holder, but it was really sneaky of them to make me believe them in hopes they could buy my car for dirt cheap. Disappointed.

Just purchased my first car from them yesterday. Overall a decent experience, but looking back, there are quite a few things that were off-putting: First off, they dont budge on their prices at all, even if something is missing or broken in the car. We sell it as is, they say. Second, they tried to sneak a $2000 warranty deal under my pen during signing. I never said yes to wanting it but they added it anyway. My dad accompanied me the day of purchase and after saying I didnt want the warranty, the guy tried to pin it on my dad saying that if something happened that it would be my dads fault and that he would pay for it. Third, for better or worse, they dont accompany test drives, meaning that drivers could treat the vehicle however they want or take anything out of them. I test drove the car I bought a week before buying it and it still had the rear privacy cover to cover the cargo space, but the day of buying it, it was gone and they dont know where it went, and they wont order me a new one. Also, I just discovered that theres no spare tire, and in its place was a receipt from Costco in California, a lighter, and another air freshener square. And last, the odometer mileage I signed off on was actually 1,200 miles less than what the car actually had that day, assuming it was the mileage from the day they got it, not after the 1,200 miles of test drives.So, I like the car and Im happy with it so far, but there are things that I am not impressed by with the dealership. I know its a business and they have to make money, but some things just dont make sense. And maybe some of the things I missed are my fault for not noticing, but more care for buyers and negotiable-ness(?) would be good.

Very short conversation with your service lady. I just wanted some small information but it really felt like she didnt care and was trying to get me off the phone. I am a service writer myself and know how calls like that should go. Also, Im not one for writing reviews unless the service is terrible which is what it was. I would have been written up if I gave out that bad of information.

It was the first time purchasing a vehicle long-distance. David honored our agreement and earnest money and took it off the inventory until I could get there to fill out the paperwork. Ryan was extremely helpful answering all my questions about the financing and made sure I got the best rate possible. Next car I am definitely shopping here first!

We scheduled a test drive for a car at our home last week using Velocitys third party service. The car arrived at 6:00pm and by 8:30 or so I was on the phone with a sales guy, Carson, giving him my credit card number to hold the car with a $500 deposit so I could pick it up a couple days later. The next afternoon I found out the car had been sold out from under us at pretty much the exact same time Id been speaking with Carson and less than two hours after Id driven it. I dont know how it happened but at the very least, its a problem of poor management and communication on Velocitys part. I wouldnt have been as frustrated if there had been a sincere apology and willingness to make things right in some way - or at the very least a phone call instead of a text letting me know what had gone wrong. But as it stands, I definitely wouldnt consider buying a car from Velocity in the future.

Most recently we purchased a minivan and I thought i knew what i wanted and what i didnt want but after talking things over with Josh, we ended up going with a model that we had previously decided against for no real reason. He was informative but not pushy and really knows what to look for in a vehicle. Weve been nothing but thrilled with our purchase and Im glad that he pointed us in the right direction for our familys needs.

Great first time buying experience! Love my new car and so far everything has been great. This place is laid back yet professional, they’re there to help but not smothering you like other dealerships. Josh Crandall was very helpful answering all my questions, and I didn’t feel pressured at all I was able to test drive without a dealer which was nice, and make a decision on my own time without being watched or pressured. When it did come to buying the process was quick, informative, and painless!

I had a poor experience purchasing from out of state.I paid my detailer fee to clean the car, however when the car arrived it was never detailed. In fact, there were massive stains all over the back from what looks like a soda can that exploded covering the windows, seats, and the headliner (very difficult to clean). The Dealership detailer sheet that came with the vehicle even said it had been done. Even more troubling, I called in to see if they could make it right and they said since I am out of state, there is nothing they could do and refused to refund any of the cleaning fee, then stopped returning my calls. I had to pay more money to get it cleaned elsewhere.Also, the title department took over 5 weeks to process the title and send it to the local DMV to be registered. It was late for registration and I had to pay an additional late fee. (they mentioned they prioritize instate vs out of state)These experiences left a sour taste in my mouth and made me deeply question the integrity and business practices of this institution. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE.The only person that I would recommend here is Victor the service manager. He has been awesome, other than that every employee here is very very shady! I bought my car 5 months ago and am now having to replace the tires, alignment, and the drive belt and this is coming out of my pocket. I would never work with the salesman’s Josh Crandall because he obviously just cares about the money that goes into his pocket. This whole company is a joke and will lie about the condition of the car they sell you. I will never do business with them again nor would I ever recommend it.

My husband and I bought a car from Velocity about 2 or 3 weeks ago and we had an awesome experience! The salesmen at this place are phenomenal. They are not pushy, they will make sure you have enough time to find a car that works well with for your needs, and they will make sure that you are well taken care of after you purchase you car. The prices are also great and they are very helpfully in helping you make a smart decision financially when purchasing your car. My only complaint I have and will ever have with Velocity is with their mechanic.My husband and I purchased a car and quickly noticed the back right tire was not holding pressure. We called velocity to ask about it and they told us to bring it in and they’ll fix it. When we finally got in, we were told in the service center (where they fix the cars) that the mechanic was not in and that we’d have to come back on Monday. Typically this is no big deal, but my husband and I live 300 miles away from the dealership and asked what our other options are. He recommended we go to a tire place near the dealership and they’d fix it. When we got the tire checked, we were told that there was a nail lodged in the tire and that we should call Velocity and see if they’ll pay to have the tire fixed. We went ahead and decided to just head back in and talk about it to see what we could do, and we found out that the guy in the service center had lied to us and that he actually was the mechanic. When the salesman found out that he lied to us, he went to bat for us and within that hour got our car back from the tire company and made sure that the mechanic fixed our tire and fixed it that day. Again, the salesman is awesome! However, the mechanic seems to be lazy and can’t do his job. My only suggestion is to make sure that you get your car checked out before ever leaving the lot. Otherwise, this is a great dealer.

Purchased a VW Passat from Velocity in June of this year. The vehicles tires had damage that was discovered shortly after the sale that made it unsafe to drive. I replaced the tires all the way around the car and have been back and forth with the manager since June to get a reimbursement for the cost. My cost was 647.00 and they offered to send me 200.00.I have followed up 2 times with copies of paid reciepts and promises to follow through with sending me 1/3 of the cost to get the car safe to drive. It is hard to want to refer or due business with a company that does not follow through on there promise to you multiple times.We will look elsewhere for our company purchases moving forward.

DONT BUY A CAR FROM HERE UNTIL YOU READ THIS!!!A wolf in sheep clothing scenario. They seemed great but low key got screwed.We got there late on a Saturday night. Test drove 3 cars. Finally decided to go with one. We VERBALLY agreed with the salesman to1. Trade in our car at $9,000 they only gave us $8,000 for it and explained that with the trade in value it saved us $1,000 on taxes.He also agreed to 2. Have an interest rate of 2.99 (we prequalified for 2.99 earlier that day at GOLDEN WEST CREDIT UNION) ended up getting a 3.75%. Those were the terms we verbally agreed on with the salesman and said we would buy the car that night if those were met.Fast forward to closing we were rushed through the finance and paperwork because they were “closed”. It’s was 8 o’clock in the evening the website said 9.The finance guy never mentioned interest rate or how long the term would be. Me figuring it would be a 5 year (60 month term) contract. Ended up being an 84 month (7 year contract)We bought a vehicle from here 3 years ago and had a great experience and now this time assuming with what we agreed on earlier with the salesman with the trade in value and the interest rate. We didn’t think we would get burned like that. IT OUR FAULT for not going over the contract with a fine tooth comb. Just do your DUE DILIGENCE before signing anything and just don’t assume anything and challenge them on their word, look at the interest rate, term of the contract etc.

Me and my dad were going to go look at a charger they had. I’ve been keeping in contact with them for about a week, making sure it’s still available and setting appointments to come in and test drive it. When we got there we were seated and had to wait for “Kirk” the man who was going to help us. When he came over he told us the car got sold and was no longer available, even tho an hour before we got there they said the car was still available. We weren’t wearing masks due to medical reasons, which we said when we walked inside. Later that day we did some research and found out the car was STILL available at this location. They would much rather lose a customer interested in buying a car, then deal with us not wearing a mask for the 30 minutes we would be there. They lied right to our faces, so what else could they potentially lie about?

Worst experience. Walked in and said we were interested in buying a car. The guy never introduced himself so I don’t even know his name, never asked what kind of car we were interested in, just asked what our credit score was and said “ehh.. you might have a chance”. He didn’t offer to show any cars, just had us sit in the lobby and fill out an application online. After waiting for 2 hours, with no check ins, we were told we won’t get an answer on our application until Monday morning. Then he turned around and walked away. Never got our contact information or anything. Absolutely will not be purchasing a car here and will be sure to let all friends and family know of the experience we had.

We worked directly with Charlie and from the beginning, we knew we were dealing with a professional who knew the details of each and every unique vehicle in stock and could best help us find the vehicle we needed for our family. Their account lady Monique is not professional at all! We needed help with our vehicles gap insurance after a total loss and we called their office. Monique who answered the phone listened to what we had to say and then screamed WHAT??? And then died laughing. Very unprofessional and discouraging. Either way we still needed the help and we were suppose to receive a call back but they never called back. Very disappointing.

Bought a 2013 Camry over 5 years ago, as this is a big purchase and how the car lasts matters more than the initial sale (which was fast and painless and would have been 5 stars at the time, i wanted towait and see how the car ran). Recently got a new car from their American fork location so no longer have the car. It lasted the entire loan term with no issues. The car lasted with no issues and buying process was quick and to the point. Ive bought a car from another dealer before and after Ive decided to buy, it took over 4 hours. Ive been with numerous people when they buy cars and similar experience. I test drove 4 cars and still the whole process was about 2-3 hours. Some people might feel rushed I guess, but I felt I had a good understanding of what was going on.

Leaving 5 stars for Jerom - the sales person that helped us out. We felt absolutely no pressure to buy - he just let use test drive a couple cars on our own without any commitment and answered questions as we had them. He made the entire process fun and easy, without the annoying sales pitches youll typically get at the larger dealerships. I definitely liked that we were able to test drive without a salesperson in the car, and just enjoy driving the car. Also, after we had purchased the car and right before we left the dealership, Jerom found that the sunglasses holder was broken, and he just had us go to the service department and they replaced the part on the spot without a hassle. Highly recommend this place and working with Jerom.

We bought a kia sedona minivan from them. After 6 months the car started showing problems. Battery draining and none of the three mechanics we brought the car could find what is happening. Velocity made us buying a warranty that we cant even use because nobody knows what is happening with the car. And for sure this problem was there before we bought the car. Dont recommend this place at all!

I was a bit pressured to get the bumper to bumper warranty on my car which I did end up buying so well see if that ever pays off. Other than that the experience was nice. Friendly staff, nice facility and pretty quick service.

The experience was fantastic from the beginning unlike a couple other dealerships that we had been to. You have lost a potential customer for life. We have discussed the charger for a week with your staff online, made apt to come in amd made the drive from Utah county to test drive the charger. We confirmed the apt before we came up. We fot there, waited for the person we talked to, then this happened.Upon arriving we were asked to wear a mask. We cannot due to medical reasons so we fall within the exemptions od the mandate. The initial sales person was polite and directed us to have a seat and he would be right with us.We waited dor about 10 mins then he came over and asked us if we had masks, I reiterated the same thing and he said ok. I told him we were there to see the charger which was available 30 minutes prior. He said umm that is no longer available. Much to our surprise I asked hows that? He said someone who had been looking at it came to buy it and it was on its way to the american fork location.We politely said ok, knowing it was a lie, and left. Upon further inquiries from friends and an online form we found out it was still available at that location. But, not if you dont have a mask, they lied right to our faces and were caught. So what else do they lie about I wonder. Buyer beware.

Velocity sold me a trash vehicle. A Jeff Spicoli type salesman greeted me and I never saw him again. I basically sold myself the car. Ive had it for about a year and a half and Ive already spent so much money on repairs and will continue to. They sold me a whack warranty via Alpha and theyre even worse..Its so hard to get ahold of them and the warranty covers NOTHING but engine issues which I havent had but Im sure Im on my way. Dont be taken by the packaging of this poor quality dealership. Dont be taken by the fake reviews either. Businesses can buy those now.

First off extremely happy with the sale process. They were not pushy, gave me time to look at each car, sales rep was knowledgeable about each car. In late 2017 I purchased a 2014 cadillac cts.My complaint which is still not addressed is when they sold me the warranty. I ask to by a 3 year warranty I was told it covered any issues with the car, about 6 months into the purchase of the car there was a small crack on the display within a week it was as the picture shows. I called the mechanic at Velocity and asked him about it and he said stated oh yes we see that a lot with the Cadillacs call the warranty and it should be taken care of. So I called the warranty and they stated that under the high tech warranty. So it is not covered now it will cost me $1,200 to fix it. So I called 4 months ago I called velocity to talk about why the high tech was not in warranty package there was no mention of it. I was told that a manager would be in contact with me. I called again last month and still have not heard back. Extremely disappointed in service. Will not purchase from again.5/14/19 Cory is the man! He reached out to me apologized and took care of everything. Definitely buying my next car from them.

Other dealerships jumped down our throats and put the pressure on us to buy a higher priced vehicle. We bought a Nissan Sentra at Velocity in Draper. This was our second vehicle we’ve purchased from them. Had a great experience. Jarom helped us out and was super friendly and professional. As we were finishing up, Jarom noticed that the windshield wipers needed replacing, so he replaced one and ordered the second one. I went by a few days later for the other replacement wiper. There were a couple other minor things to look at and the service center took care of us really quickly. Thanks!

They pressured us into a warranty that we “had to have” per the bank, after asking the bank they said that Velocity put it on there. Can’t get a single email, phone call or text back. He had the car we wanted to look at pull up front and test drive within minutes of us getting there. When we were ready to buy it was a smooth transition. Kirk is awesome. I give my salesman, Jarom, a five star rating. He is great to work with and very helpful. Velocity Auto Sales has a very laid back environment that helps keep the stress down during a car purchase. I would give them five stars if it wasnt for their policy to not allow price negotiations. What this boils down to is that they can lower the price when they want to (and they do), but the customer has no ability to bargain for a lower price. Follow up - Car lost water pump 1 week after purchase. Velocity didnt do anything to help despite their warranty because I replaced the pump myself (rather than having it towed from Spanish Fork to their facility).

Hi I bought a passet from them and the sales team was great, and the financing team was great, altho everyone i try to get ahold of the service side they never answer, i try week after week and things like that make you never want to buy from there again, I think if they could fix the service department I would give them a 4.5 star rating and possibly buy from them again, although simple steps like answering the damn phone would make a huge difference, oh and by the way their voice mail is always full too!😤😤😤

**Update -- they replaced the brakes and rotor and so for no more issues.**We bought a car from them about 5 years ago and everything was great so we just went back for a second car and have only had problems. Turns out theres not even brakes on the back they are totally worn down. What happened to the inspection that the cars go through? We were about to go on a road trip and now we dont know if we even can. We have had the car less than a week so this was not our doing. on the way home from picking it up we noticed slight grinding and within two days it was intense grinding noises from the rear brakes.

I wish I could give them no stars. This place is a joke. We paid extra for the warranty coverage on our 2014 Chevy Sonic. The engine blew because of a defective raditator. They wont cover it because they said the car over heated. Do not buy from them! They are totally dishonest.

The entire experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Questions werent answered clearly, I was sent to multiple locations due to lack of effort and awareness of the inventory, there was consistently poor communication, the buying process was very lengthy and poorly handled, and my dream car was sold to another person a week into the buying process with no regard to the hold that was put on it and constant communication throughout the financing and repair. Drove long distances and took several vacation days because it was the only car in UT that might my criteria. I wouldnt recommend going with this dealership if you want a competent dealer with integrity.

So I buy a car, represented as clean, no accident etc. Keep it for a little over a year and when I go to trade it in we find out its been in a serious wreck!Velocity bought it wrecked, fixed it, and sold it to me telling me it hadnt been in any serious.The reason this didnt show on the carfax etc (as it was explained to me) was that major accidents dont show until its re-registered so I buy a car with a clean report and when it comes times to sell my car suddenly has a severe damage history!Absolutely disgusting business practice cost me over 10 grand.Please be very aware that this could happen to you and theres nothing you can do about your dealer being dishonest when you buy from them

When I originally called I spoke to a salesman (if you can even call someone who has no desire to make a sale a salesman) who was so unprofessional, short, and dismissive that I almost wrote this dealership off completely. However, they had the exact car I wanted for a seemingly good price. I called back a second time and spoke with David, who was nice enough. I provided everything requested of me within minutes of being asked and scheduled an appointment for later in the week to get things finalized. I live out of state and drove 3 and a half hours only to sit in the lobby for over 4 hours because nothing was ready. David had even called when I was an hour away to confirm the appointment. The car was dirty upon arrival and had a flat tire that needed repaired before I test drove it. I was called several times while test driving the car for information that had already been provided. Speaking with the finance department and closing only took about 10 minutes and was incredibly rushed through. I then sat in the lobby for at least another 30 minutes for them to bring my car around after signing all of my paperwork for them to tell me they we having it detailed and double checking the tire issue. The car had less than half a tank of gas when they finally pulled it around and was not any cleaner than the first time. I was so ready to be out of the dealership that I just left. After driving 3.5 hours to get there, spending nearly 5 hours waiting in the lobby and still need to drive 3.5 hours home, can you blame me? I noticed there wasnt any floor mats when I arrived home and called the dealership expecting them to fix the mistake only to be told they didnt have any at the moment and I could stop in to pick some up whenever they were in stock whenever I was in town again. I explained this wasnt possible as I dont often drive out of state for no reason. He essentially said sorry and that was all they could do for me. Overall this was the worst car buying experience I have been through. I wish that I would have read reviews or went with my first initial reaction and not called back.

They took me into finance it and didnt even try to help me finance it. Didnt look at my credit or anything. I tried to place the car on hold and put money down but they didnt let me. IF IT SEEMS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS! I bought a van here 2 years ago. Van was only 3 years old and had low mileage. I got the van at a great price and now I know why. I’ve already had to pay $5,000 to replace the transmission, $120 for a spark plug, $380 for a thermostat gasket, now there is some issue with the gas evaporation system. I called Velocity after the radiator issue and they told me it wasn’t their problem. I’m ready to dump this lemon and buy a car from a reputable dealership. If you see a great price tag with these guys, just remember that it will end up costing you much more in the end, plus all of the time without a vehicle while it sits in the repair shop over and over again.

My dad and youngest brother told me about their great car shopping experience at Velocity and how easy it all was, so when I recently needed to replace my car, I went to Velocity based on my familys recommendation.Wow! It was a breeze! I purchased an Audi Q7 from Velocity this year. As can happen with used cars, I discovered some issues with the vehicle (after purchasing it from Velocity). As my luck would have it, these issues required expensive repairs. Brandon (manager of the service department) willingly walked me through the warranty process, and how to manage my claim. I cannot say enough about how much he helped me. Seriously. He went above and beyond the call of duty, and now I feel like I have to by my next car from them (and probably him because I trust the guy more than anyone else in there).No joke. I purchased a car from Velocity roughly 4-5 years ago and had a great experience. As such, this was one of the first places we went to to test drive a few cars for my wife when looking for another. We wanted to get an idea of what she would like, so we met with Mitch and asked if we could test drive 2 or 3 models. I was taken back by some of his responses. He said that if we werent there to buy a car we should not waste his time and ours. I was a little confused by the comment and told him we were in the market for one soon, and we wanted to try a few out to see what we liked before we decided. He responded that he could let us test drive some until he was blue in the face, but out of respect for people who would ACTUALLY be buying that car it would be better if we just sat in the car for now. Again, I didnt know what to make of this. He further responded that test driving was for people who usually have already made up their mind about a car and just wanted one last drive before they buy. I replied that I wouldnt know what car I would want to purchase WITHOUT actually driving it. This was the real conversation between Mitch and I. I was very disappointing because I had talked Velocity up to my wife for a while now, and now that we are in the market to purchase a vehicle in the coming weeks, they let us down.Mitch obviously didnt want our business. Its too bad because I had returned from a previously good experience with Velocity. I wont be going back to Velocity to purchase our new car. I am sorry to say I have never experienced a salesman that has no interest in making a sale - even if it was a few weeks in the future.
