Good luck ever reaching someone at the Tuttle Mall location! No one EVER answers the phone or returns the message you are forced to leave because they dont. I absolutely adore the doctor, so I was willing to try again after having this exact issue last year..but here I am again. Customer service at this location is beyond wretched, which is really quite a shame considering how fantastic the doctor. Im done chasing you down to spend money in your store.
I brought my elderly father to this store this afternoon with previous information from scheduling that I could provide my father’s prescription to the sales rep in any form as long as the RX was shown clearly from optometrist’s office. I was initially speaking to the male staff person today regarding this to which I was informed that the document could only be faxed or scanned by a fax machine in order to be processed. I asked if I could send my copy via email as an attachment. During this time an older female staff person (who refused to provide her name) had interjected herself into the conversation and both the man and woman continued to cut me off, and were incredibly rude for the entire interaction. I was solely attempting to provide feedback of the different information I was provided and sharing my elderly father’s barriers to services due to him having difficulty walking to get to the office just to be reprimanded in the way we were. I had called ahead to understand the process so my father wouldn’t have to suffer. I am disheartened and disappointed in how my family and I were treated today.
Janet, who helped me pick frames was terrific. So helpful. When I picked up my glasses today I can’t believe how comfortable they are and how well I see. Hadnt gotten new glasses for 5 years. I wont let that happen again. I have always gotten my glasses at Pearle Vision and will not change
Amazing experience! The eye doctor is very nice and friendly. He makes sure to answer all your questions. Janet helped me pick out BEAUTIFUL Tiffany’s glasses and I’ve gotten so many compliments! She was so helpful and made my experience seamless!
I had lost my vision in my right eye back in August, I have been trying to get a hold of ANYONE since (now nearly April) I have called once a week and neither the office or the scheduling department ever answer the phone or call back if you leave a message. I have never been so ignored by a practice. My vision insurance changes this month and I will be absolutely sure to find a better eye doctor that has reliable scheduling and staff.
The staff was very courteous and explained all the preliminary tests and procedures. They have a very clean, including covid cleaning restrictions, office.
Dr Mesadieu helped me out in an eyeball emergency, on a Saturday. Unbelievable! He is a very good doctor. I highly recommend pearl vision for eye care. If he wouldnt of fit me in I would be mostly blind today (probably). Thank you doctor!
I understand delays due to Covid, I dont understand a company that refuses to answer the phone during posted business hours or return customer phone calls. My glasses as well as both of my sons glasses are all overdue at this point, and I havent been able to reach the store all week. It really feels like youve gotten money from me and my insurance company and thats where you think the process ends. If this isnt resolved today we will be talking about refunds for the 3 pair of glasses so I can go to a company with better/any customer service.
Dr. Mesasieu is fantastic and his staff were polite and helpful during my visit. It started out well, but has degenerated into a very frustrating customer service experience. It has been well over a month and I still have not received my glasses OR my contacts -- but they have my money. I recognize the impact of the COVID pandemic; however, my complaint is basic customer service: RETURN A CALL. When I call every week to follow up - because nobody ever returns calls with updates - it has either been a circular tour through answering services OR I have spoken with a staff member who tells me that the glasses should be in later this week. I still dont have my glasses, which were simply new lenses in my old frames. I was also informed that my contact lenses are out of stock. I should have been informed about this when I placed the order. So, now I am using the same pair of SAMPLE CONTACT LENSES THAT I WAS GIVEN A MONTH AGO. Watch out for their listed hours of operation. Pearle Visions scheduling center gives you different hours than what are posted online.
Glasses were 10 days overdue. I get that stuff happens but the glasses weren’t made at the store they’re made at a remote “lab” and instead of just being up front and saying they’re 10 days overdue everyday it was PR, maybe they’ll be here today and we don’t know what’s going on. That is IF they bother calling you back good luck getting a call back. But they didn’t just give me the lab number where I could get straight answers on what’s really going on it was instead feeding me PR every day and passage aggressive no call backs. I had to figure out the lab number myself. However the store didn’t damage the glasses between reception and our pickup so that’s good.
Dr. Mesadieu is an exceptionally kind and warm man. Very rarely do you find the combination of personality and clinical skill. I will be back next time I need an exam and/or glasses. The office staff was kind and welcoming. Stephanie took great care of me. If you need eye care I would refer you to this team without a moments hesitation.
The staff here is amazingly excellent. They always have an answer for my questions and are super on top of everything. They know their stuff and are more than willing to walk me through insurance stuff step by step so it all makes sense. Dr. Mesadieu is a sweetheart. These guys are great!!
They were great! They got me in for an appointment at the last minute and helped me find glasses that fit perfectly. I had great service from the optometrist and optician.
My family and I were here for my son’s travel baseball tourney from New York. My son ended up losing one of his contacts and no other doctor’s office would help us out. I called this office and spoke to Chase and he told me to come right in and they will see what they can do. We get there and the doctor came out to talk to us and replaced his contact lens free of charge. Thank you so much for helping my son out and being very kind and pleasant.
Went in to pick up the glasses I paid for and they handed me different glasses. I responded with, This is not what I paid for. They did not believe me until I showed them a picture of me wearing the glasses that day. Their response was, oh we must have run out of your frame and just sent you this instead. They then preceded to tell me that I will be contacted later that day about my correct glasses and that it will be shipped to my address. It has been almost 2 weeks and I have yet to hear back from them.I have been a loyal pearl vision customer at this exact location for the past 3 years and will never shop with the company again. I also do not recommend this pearl vision store. (The one inside the Tuttle Mall)

Love this place. Dr was very thorough and the staff was extraordinary! They took time to hear all of my concerns, worked with my insurance and advised me on my best fit for glasses and contacts! They also have a great selection of sunglasses. Highly recommend!
Ive always had a great experience here and would highly recommend! I started wearing glasses and contacts about 2 years ago. They helped me find the perfect glasses and also worked with me to get fitted for contacts. I had to try a few brands to find the right contact lenses, and they kept working with me until we got it right. As new lens products come out theyll recommend and also let me try them out. The doctors and staff are caring, very knowledgeable, and they provide awesome customer service!

Extremely displeased with the service I received here. The doctor was phenomenal and I did appreciate his expertise and kindness. Unfortunately that’s the only good thing I have to say about this place. I ordered my glasses on September 3rd and still have not received them. No one can tell me when I will get my glasses. I was told it would be a week, and it has now been 15 days (and they are still at the lab and haven’t shipped). I have called to inquire about this several times. The first time, I was put on hold for 20 minutes! I ended up going into the store myself where I was met by a rude associate. They also told me I owed more money when I came into the store to inquire about my glasses.Update: After a month, I received my glasses. They are exactly what I wanted. I was also given a full refund for my trouble. Thank you to Pearce for being so kind to me through this frustrating process.
Had a fantastic experience! Was concerned based off of previous reviews and this being a “chain” store, but all-in-all, pleasantly surprised. Dr. Geral Mesadieu was top-notch... great bedside manner and a fab sense of humor! Also, Simone I believe her name was, helped me pick frames and went over pricing and my insurance policy with me.... she was very kind and knowledgeable. Will be a return customer for sure!
This branch offers the best customer service experience of any store I have visited. Ask for Kevin or Victoria and either will take excellent care of you. I have been visiting them for two years now and every visit is a pleasure. They deleiver the kind of respect and professionalism that is difficult to find anywhere else. Shop there. You wont be disappointed.
I had a great experience at Pearle. They were attentive and gave me advice on what looked good. I was able to take my time in picking out my frames and they were patient. I would highly recommend going to pay them a visit for all of your eye care needs.
1 great experience! I went to a competitor and received my glasses and they made me feel like I was cross eyed and my vision was much worse. I had taken them to Pearle Vision Tuttle Mall and they had taken the time to get the proper measurements and help me see clearly again The staff is amazing! They were very knowledgeable and professional. Most of all they genuinely cared. This is the only place that my family and I will ever go to. Just go there and youll see for yourself.
Stopped in to ask if they’d adjust my glasses even though they were bought at a competitor. (Id had the competitor adjust them last night but they were bothering me all day. Janet fixed them for me. AMAZING customer service!!

When entering the store you are always greeting by the amazing stuff members working. It’s always an enjoyable time while getting an eye exam and picking out glasses. I would highly recommend anyone here if they are in search for new glasses or contacts.

Ive been coming here for years and would never go anywhere else. The manager, Kevin, is fantastic and always goes out of his way to make sure his customers are taken care of. I live near several eye-care places but drive out of my way to continue using this Pearl Vision store because of how Im treated.
Extremely disappointed with the services received. Went to the georgesville road location for eye exam and waited over two weeks to receive my glasses. When my glasses came back, finally! The right lens was not put in correctly. The lens were so dark that they look like Stevie Wonder glasses. So now, I have to wait another two weeks before I receive them, again. I have never had to wait a month before ever to get glasses. One too many mistakes for my taste. Extremely disappointed..... Extremely disappointed . Now theyre telling me that I have to wait another week. Worst experience ever.
I ordered my glasses on March 23rd I was told they would ready in about 10 days. Today is April 8th and there are still NO glasses on the horizon. My husband got his in less than 1 week. I truly do not think they ordered my glasses. This is ridiculous. Their customer service is awful but the eye doctor is great! Hope to have the glasses I paid for before it’s time to get new ones next year. Tuttle Pearle Vision has went downhill like the mall.

Gabby is the best apprentice optician EVER!!!Kevin is very very friendly and a great manager. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful. Definately recommend this location. The optometeris was very friendly and efficient. They were fully booked and took me in on time. i got my script and glasses in a very timely manner.
Dr. Jody Matthews is amazing. Ive been struggling for a long time now with my astigmatism, and the last few optometrists I went to did nothing to help me. Dr. Matthews went above and beyond to come up with a solution to help correct my vision. Plus, the opticians on staff are very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely go back to Pearle Vision at Tuttle Crossing.
I had an excellent service at Pearle Vision at Tuttle! Here is my story: I brought in my prescription from my eye doctor and had it made at this location. When I tried out my glasses for the first time, I knew something was terribly wrong with the right lens but I tried to wait it out for 3 days, assuming I needed to adjust to it. After no progress, I went back to Pearle Vision and explained to Brandi, the associate that works there, that one of my lens was blurry and it gave me a headache. She listened to my issue, assessed my glasses and knew right away that my prescription was written incorrectly, one of lens power was flipped: (003 should have been 030). She called my eye doctors office and explained the issue to them. It took my doctors office about an hour to figure out that Brandi was right and my prescription was transcribed incorrectly. I am glad my issue was resolved quickly and I got my glasses fixed for free! Glad I am a customer at this location and will recommend. (June 2018)

This was my first visit today. I had an eye exam with photos and a contact lense fitting. It took about 30 minutes and I felt like the entire team had my best interest in mind.
Not sure I received glasses I ordered Polo Ph 1117 they are large size. Feel like a bill board over eyes. Everyone tell me glasses to big size ordered 54 17 140 size Guess Iam stuck received 58 17 145 size glasses8Up date 48 hours later no contact as your responce.probably never will today tuesday and no one has contacted me. Say they will call me in 48 hours?Sounds good
The manager Kevin was awesome! Dr. Geral was extremely knowledgeable and well spken. The receptionist Gabby was super nice and helpful with insurance talks. Found me an excellent pair of frames and cant wait to try out my new lenses! What an uplifting experience!

Lets face it.... its all about Kevin. I have worked in the customer service industry for most of my 20+ yr career and I challenge you to find me someone who cares more about their customers than Kevin. On top of that, its 100% genuine. Heck, I just got back from getting my 10yr old boy some glasses from Kevin .... and my boy has 20/20 vision. Ok, so maybe he needed the glasses, but I didnt have to drive 20mins out of my way to visit Kevins store to buy them. I chose to purchase from Kevin and his team at Pearle Vision (Tuttle) because they make you feel like family. I promise you... one of the best customer support experiences Ive ever had. I went in and scheduled an appointment for an eye exam within the same day they asked me to come back at 3pm. I filled all the necessary paper work out, even called in an hour later with a few benefit questions, when they confirmed they would see me at 3. When I arrived at 250pm, I was told that my appointment was somehow erased. They said dont worry theyd get me in. It was 340, 40 minutes after my appointment and I asked why it was taking so long. They told me it was going to be another 20 mins because they double booked that time.Instead of telling me that before I waited a long time they choose to keep that information from me. Very disrespectful of my time when they messed up and one woman had a bad attitude when I tried to explain that I was waiting a long time.Unacceptable behavior.

If you are like me, you hate picking out glasses. It is very hard to find a style you like and once you get them you second guess yourself. At the Tuttle Pearl Vision, they are extremely helpful! From the doctors appointment with Dr. Mesadieu to the optical shop with their amazing staff and office manager, they made the process a breeze. I was able to browse all the options and once I had finally selected a pair I liked they were able to order my frames and work with my insurence for me. This made my effort as the customer minimal. I cannot say enough about their staff and how helpful they are. I have already ordered a 2nd pair of prescription sunglasses! Two thumbs way up and 5stars for this place!

Walked in at 6:07 ish for my appointment, when I walked in a girl who wasnt working at the front desk (who was polite enough) asked if she could help me and I told her I was there for an appointment at 6 but was a little late. She said someone would help me and pointed to a girl at the front desk. Before even saying hello this girl says you just made it, we only have a ten minute window. Late or not, how is that how you choose to greet your customers ? What happened to hello, how are you? Then to myself Im saying, well I dont care, only came here for insurance reasons lol. She asks what I said then I asked to move things along so I could take my prescription and leave. She hands me paperwork and says every page is double sided. Only one page was, how didnt you notice that? Not a big deal but just shows how not together she was. I asked if it was something they could have emailed before hand, she says no. What modern age doctors office cant email or at least mail new patient paperwork beforehand?I fill out the paperwork and we finally go back to the room and I ask if there was a seat for the person I was with. She replies with an attitude I mean she can come back but I dont have a chair. After that I was ready to go. I asked for my paperwork and let her know that I would go elsewhere, she replies with a snarky attitude why? I told her because I said so lol. Literally the most ghetto and unprofessional experience I have ever had ANYWHERE. If you wanted to go home at 6 and hoped I was a no call no show, dont schedule an appointment for 6. Her attitude was disgusting. I give you the attitude you give me and hers was enough to never go to any Pearle vision again. I have new insurance and its one of the only chains accepted, Ill look around and see what else is out there. Only came here because of the reviews which were apparently 90% written by their friends lol.
They do send for the glasses, but these guys are great. They were willing to work with odd payment issues I had, and solved every vision issue I had.
As long as Kevin was the store manager, there was organization.... The new manager is totally clueless... need to go back to someone who can help, be able to give CUSTOMER service
