Jim was our sales representative and wow, what a wealth of knowledge this man has when it comes to boats and fishing! He made sure we got all the add-ons and upgrades to make sure our boat would perform how we needed it to based on our personal needs. He even personally took us out on the water for a few hours after finalizing our purchase to explain all the features and show us how to operate our boat. Also, I want to mention what an amazing job the service department does. Everything I have had upgraded on my boat has been installed with precision and attention to detail, and you can tell that they take great pride in jobs done well. You cannot get better service than that, and I will continue to give all my business to this amazing company!

After doing our research, my wife and I decided on a Thunder Jet. We had checked out a few other dealers but settled on Maxxum. They had a beautiful Luxor Limited 21 for sale with nice features at a good price. We spent some time with Josh who was helpful and informative. After we made our decision, they were able to get the boat ready quickly. We arranged a test ride and went out with Jim who showed us around the boat. But you only really find out what kind of people youre dealing with after something happens and especially after something bad. After two days of boating on the Columbia, the oil pump failed and the motor gave out. Josh and the team took the boat in, got a new motor on it in record time and got us back on the water. Great group of guys. We will be back.

I recently purchased a new 2019 Thunder Jet 185 Explorer. The purchase deserves five stars. However, the after sales customer service deserves zero. There seems to be no interest in my money or helping me find some matching seats. I was not greeted friendly and have not had a return phone call regarding the purchase of matching seats in over two weeks.Thats poor customer service.

Got my 2004 Wellcraft repowered and everything was great. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Talked with Lloyd and he was really helpful and patient with me (totally green boater). There was a little snafu with the motor color I ordered and they handled it fairly. Would definitely do business with them again.

My Son and I were told one price for a used boat. Then I go back to buy and all of a sudden it went up 3 grand! And the guy even remembered doing it. Hour drive both ways from my home wasted. Buyers beware. No wonder they have Only 2019’s on the lot. Wow, no 2020’s on Dec 20, 2019!

Recently, purchased a clean used fishing boat from Maxxum Marine. We worked with Josh Watson on all the purchase details. He was very responsive, honest to all our questions, and went above and beyond to expedite this purchase. The challenges for this purchase was that we reside in Arizona. He took closeup photos, and videos showing good and small imperfections of this used unit. He treated us like we were buying a $50,000 dollar unit. Josh on his very busy schedule took the boat out on a rainy, cold and windy day to make sure all was in working order, as to not waste our time before we arrived. The boat was exactly as promised and no surprises. Josh took the time to go over everything the boat had to offer, so that we were aware of how to operate the boat safely. Knowing that we had a long trip back home they had the bearings lubed, and tires checked. We got the royal treatment. Micah also from Maxxum Marine assisted us with a transom motor support as my wife asked if it would make a difference in supporting the motor as we traveled. Micah found a used one and made modifications to make sure it fit properly. The whole experience was a welcoming experience in these days of buy and push you out the door. This establishment has done a great job in hiring the best, people that care and show you real honest customer service is one of the reasons we didnt mind traveling so far for our purchase. Extremely disappointed. Extremely heartbreaking! !! When we first saw the boat we were told that they would sell it for $21,000. After a few weeks of working with Maxxum and the bank, the day before we received the final word for funding, we noticed that the boat we were told they would hold, and in the middle of trying to purchase, was listed on line for sale... WOW! That was a massive gut punch! Anyway, we still offered $20,000 for a $21,000 boat ...and they wouldnt budge a penny - dead deal! They offered to pay licensing and titling, which, we were going to be able to cover ourselves and wasnt that wasnt included in the $20,000 offer...So they were only coming down a little over $500.00 Way to absolutely and seriously crush our dreams. But, that is OK! There are plenty of boats in the sea! We just wont be shopping here, sadly! Merry Christmas :(

I bought a new 20hp Suzuki from another dealer because I live in Central Oregon. After i receiving my new motor I found out I ordered the wrong one. I called Maxxum and spoke to Lloyd and he politely walked me through the parts list and labor costs. We both agreed that to retrofit my motor was to costly. But the great service didnt end there, he helped me value my motor for re-sale and then re-ordered the right motor for a discount. Lloyd and Maxxum didnt have to do this it was my mistake and not theirs, but it was very appreciated. After my new motor arrived Josh on the counter made the purchase snap and walked me through the breakin period and then helped me load and secure the motor. Ill be back for sure. Arranged purchase over the telephone as I live in central California. Tony, the salesman, was awesome to work with. Bought a 21 sea hawk with the Suzuki 150 and Suzuki 9.9 kicker. Cant tell you how pleased I am. Drove to Oregon, and was at the Marina for less than 20 minutes leaving with my new boat. My last two boats, a Crestliner (Honda 90 hp) and Trophy (115 hp Mercury with 9.9 mercury kicker) dont compare at all. The new Suzuki 150 started immediately and at idle speed you dont even know it is on. Maxxum marine is a top notice organization which is why I drove 550 miles to buy my new boat. The staff of Tony, and Joni were the best. If I ever need to buy a new boat (doubt it now that I have a NRB) I will definitely go back. Dont buy anywhere until you check this place out.

Looked all over for a 25hp outboard for my Bombard C-3. Called Maxxum who had the new design Suzuki, 4 stroke, 3 cyl, EFI with electric and pull start for $1000 less than the same Yamaha, $1500 less than the Honda, and a longer warranty. Great customer service installed it quickly when I was pressed for time. Thanks Tony for answering the phone with good information. Thanks Micah for getting everything done on my schedule.

After being treated extremely rude by the main front desk guy all last summer. I went up the road to Mels.Night and day difference in how they treat their customers. Mels goes above and beyond while Maxxum was the worst customer service/respect I have ever experienced.Ive been in customer service for over 10 years. It amazes me how poorly I was treated here on multiple occasions.

I tried purchasing a boat from this place and they wouldnt let me pick out my motors fish finder or anything else I came there and the salesman had no interest in anything I had to say he would just walk off. I told them I wanted to do financing through my credit union but instead the were pushing for for 18.9 percent interest and payments of 525 a month. Outrageous. I have never been pressured and treated so poorly by anybody. I would never buy a boat from this place. Instead I went to clemens marina where they treat you with respect and are honest. Stay away from maxxum marine unless you want to be taken for everything you got. Clemens marina is the only place to buy with respect.

Bought a boat from them and had a few problems and they jumped all over it and got me fixed in a hurry. By far the best boat place and service around. Also there prices are actually fair compared to other shops.

I stoped by on way home from Florence to get a price on 140 suzuki to replace my present o.b. I talked to Josh Watson about price but had questions concerning rigging, Lloyd Slonecker jumped in my boat and answered all my questions and came up total price.Overall I had a very pleasant experience, the price was less then I expected and service was very professional.I will recommend Maxxum Marine everyone.

I went to this shop to ask about getting a prop repaired. The individual who met me at the desk seemed completely disinterested in what I had to say. He simply told me that the shop didnt work on brass props. There was no alternative or guiding me to where I could get my prop fixed. This would have been the proper and correct business move. I have called in the past to ask about service and the only thing the tech told me was theres no way we can get it in before the Fourth of July!! I didnt even want the boat back by then or serviced before that date. He was also rude and a poor business man. I will not be visiting this shop again...ever.

I took my new northriver seahawk with Honda motors in for an oil change. The pricing seemed fair as it was better that most around. However it was cheaper for a reason. They put aftermarket filters on the motors and after doing some research, Honda wont cover warranty concerns if aftermarket filters are used. To make the situation even worse, they did not cycle the oil through the filters which is common sense to do before you release the boat back to the owner. The only reason I found this out is because I got my boat winterized and the filters are bone dry. So I had to pay for another oil change and then the winterization. You would think when you pay someone over $300 to do work on your boat it would be done properly. I feel cheated out of my money as I have the new filters they used sitting in my truck having never been used and the workmanship was done terribly. I will never use this maxxum marine again and will make sure all my boating friends do the same. Buyers beware!!!

I traded in my Evinrude 250HP and 15HP for the Suzuki 300HP and 9.9HP four strokes on my 2013 RiverWild 24 foot with offshore bracket. Tony gave me a phenominal trade-in value and Suzuki had a good rebate at the time. I couldnt pass it up. Tony only had the boat for two weeks and he took it out on the water to test it after mounting the new Suzuki. He made sure the motor was mounted at the correct height and the prop pitch matched the hull of the boat. He nailed it and I couldnt be happier! I struggled with this for three years with Evinrude.The Suzuki is getting almost double the fuel efficiency of the Evinrude even when it was new. I averaged 2.0mpg with the Evinrude and now I get 3.5mpg with the Suzuki. It also increased my top end speed and its much quieter than the Evinrude. I would burn about 18 gph at 30mph and now I burn 9.6 gph with the Suzuki.I just finished my first engine oil, gear oil and filter change and it was really easy and quick. I love that I can do the basic maintenance and its much cheaper than buying Evinrude two stroke oil. I was using roughly a gallon of oil (45$) for every tuna trip. Now I just change the oil every 100 hours for a fraction of the what it cost me to buy two stroke oil.In regards to maintenance, I thought that I had an issue with the prop and they spent twenty minutes on the phone with me to troubleshoot. You just dont get support like that in this industry.Thanks guys for a great job
