Went to the store to print document and had to email them since self print kiosk was broken. Employee threatened to shred my printing and call the cops on me when I politely requested he delete my email and empty Gmail trash to ensure complete deletion. Was told I should have printed at FedEx or library if I wanted to keep my personal information safe. Also told to never come back. Will be contacting store manager for threatening experience.

I’ve been dropping packages off at this location for over a year and have never had a bad experience - they’re not only helpful but they’d SPEEDY!! I always walk away feeling positive vibes which is rare when taking care of errands like shipping stuff. Thank you!!!

The most unfriendly UPS store I have ever been. Too eager to gouge people’s pockets and vulnerability. I thought this store would be very customer-friendly and welcoming since it is in Evanston, usually very sophisticated and refined, and best Northwestern University. No, no, to the contrary, I felt like I was in one of the 3rd world countries. They even badmouthed other UPS stores to defend themselves. NOT GOOD, AT ALL.

Stratton Ford, the UPS guy who conducted my transaction, was most helpful and made my visit easy and hassle- free. I walked away thinking I will never go anywhere else.And then I revived a call from Strat who told me I had left my driver’s license at the store. It was closing time. He waited for me while I drove back.I hope employees like Stratton Ford are recognized. He deserves it.

Horrible experience. Tried to convince us to repackage a painting to protect it for an additional $70. We declined. He charged us anyways and we had to ask for a refund. Terrible attitude throughout the entire exchange.Painting arrived as if someone took a hammer to it and then repackaged it. Chunks of the frame missing that weren’t even in the package when we opened it.I would recommend literally any other service to ship your packages.

I was forced to purchase my label in-store instead of online (broken websystem). Obligated to pay extra cost due to emergency service. Employees unwilling to give a one-time partial refund or discount.

I’ve lived in Evanston almost 40 years and I’ve shipped hundreds of packages over the years. UPS, particularly this Sherman Ave store, has been reliable and extremely competent in handling all my shipping needs, from small items to larger packages. Sherman Avenue UPS was responsible for a very important shipment - 10 large paintings headed to NYC, and the manager personally wrapped each painting perfectly with care and even let me watch to supervise. The paintings arrived without a glitch. The post office could never come close to that kind of proficiency. The customer care is so friendly and unbelievably fast!

I am living just at the next street of UPS for last 1 year. I consistently had a great experience at this branch of UPS. Today was my last day at Evanston, and I went there for shipping my packages. They were extremely helpful as usual. They even helped me to carry my packages from my apartment at next street to UPS. Also, they have very competitive prices. Especially if you pay online at their website.

I am a long-time Evanston resident, and this is by far my favorite UPS store. The customer service and efficiency of this store is always great! They are always honest and upfront about their prices, and willing to help you out with whatever you need.

Used this store several times over the last four years as a college student and I think service quality varies a lot depending on the person(s) in the office. Overall not so good service, but (probably) the main store manager who I see every time I go is consistently good. But I cannot rate here highly compared to, say, the USPS office 10 minutes away.

Incredible store with friendly and helpful staff! Have been using their services for years for everything from sending faxes to shipping sensitive items. They always play some good music in there too!! This UPS Store is super best #1 forever!!

Best UPS store service Ive had the fortune to experience. Staff was very attentive and catered to all my needs for a very fragile and detail oriented shipment they packaged for me. (which my customer received all in one piece) These other reviews seem to be low for no reason besides customers impatience. Would recommend 10/10 times.

I had a quick question about getting a receipt for my package and was told to wait in line. After waiting for 20 minutes (I timed it) I was told they do not issue receipts. How would I be able to confirm that I dropped off the package without a receipt. They could steal my packages and I would have no proof the packages were dropped off. First time I have ever encountered this at a UPS store. Poor, poor service!

They were very helpful when it came to delivering one of my packages, I had a lot of questions and they answered them effortlessly and with a smile

Long time Evanston resident and I can rely on this store for consistency more than any other store in town. Fair prices and better service usps.

When I sent the package, I asked the first associate if the information I provided was sufficient and they said yes(they even have a video). UPS ended up not delivering and sent the package back. When I called to find out what was going on they said they would call me back and they never did. They only called me back days later to say I have to pay for a reshipment when their associates made 2 mistakes (that they acknowledged and apologize for ) .

Dont go there! Overpriced service comparing with other UPS store. Jerk guy works there.

I have no idea what this guy is talking about. Waiting in line is a fundamental when you have to wait your turn. This store plus the other stores in Evanston do a great job. I come from the city just to go to the Sherman location. Thanks for the hard work guys!

One of the guys who works there is the biggest jerk EVER. Made us buy tape to tape up our own package that we were sending out. Was unwilling to use the stores tape. Why??

Never use this store EVER!!!!!!!!! I shipped my TV with them and it got damaged. They rushed the shipping and didn’t ask me at any point to declare the value of the TV and they actually entered a value of $100 on my behalf which should be illegal. Ended up paying $200 to ship the TV and they damaged it. Now they’re claiming it is my fault for not reading between the lines. This is the last time I ever use UPS!!!!!! It’s FEDEX from now on!!!!!! Never go to this store even if your life depended on it!!!!!!!!!!!!

They don’t open at the time stated on the door. Waited 15 minutes after the open time and no sign of anyone working.

Terrible experience. We decided to take our business to a different UPS store. Service team have no idea how to package sensitive materials and were not willing to listen to direction. Not careful and dropped one of our products. Tried to downplay his carelessness instead of apologize. UPS needs to replace their service team at this location.

The staff (named Zach I believe) wont make extra or even required steps to do their job well like giving you a receipt for your shipping label and wont tell you fees up front. Very disappointed.

I dropped off my Comcast equipment to be returned for free. I was told Id be emailed a receipt, but 6 days later it hadnt arrived. I called the store, was placed on hold for 10 minutes, and was then given an excuse that the guy working on Sunday was lazy and hadnt sent the equipment back. I was told it would be processed shortly after the phone call, but by the end of business I still have no receipt. Now Comcast is threatening to charge me for the equipment, and I have no proof I dropped it off at the store.In addition to this, any time I have been in this store the staff has been apathetic and inattentive, as though I was bothering them.
