Plenty of restaurants in walking distance if anyone needs to grab some food while waiting for their car also.

My family had been taking our vehicles to the lab for several years with great service and pricing. This summer my jeep exhaust sheared off the bolts (4) at the cross over connection. This of course then allowed the exhaust to exit ahead of the muffler with annoying loud sound. Looked like a simple fix to just remove old broken bolts and install four more new. So I took my jeep in to the Lab to get the exhaust re attached. The quote was so high I could not allow them to do the repair.I then contacted the Muffler Man of Linden and had my jeep back same day at a fair price which was a fraction of the Labs price. It took them less then 30minutes to repair as I expected. I will be going to the muffler man of Linden from now on!!!

THIS PLACE SAVED MY DAY! Got me in right away, diagnosed, finished work, and had me back on the road the same day. Prices are good and the staff is fantastic! Don’t bother calling the other guys, just go here!

Friendly and knowledgeable people. Took my car in for oil consumption and check engine light. Turns out my car needed a cleaning of the engine and o2 sensors and a tune up. Had gone elsewhere before Auto Lab. They told me I needed another engine(7000.00). I will DEFINITELY be going back to Auto Lab. They are good folks!!

I am honored to add my 5 star review to this list. In many years of taking cars to a mechanic I have never felt so listened to and respected. We had presented a noise to our most current mechanic for diagnoses to be told “it has to get worse before we can diagnose it”. Which I now believe to be a crutch for a person who’s hearing isn’t what it used to be. When I explained the noise to Barb on the phone she suggested we ride along with one of her mechanics to point out the noise. Brilliant. And exactly what was needed. Within seconds her mechanic was able to hear the noise and explained to me his theory on what preceded it and how it will be addressed. Getting our car back we felt like it was a totally new driving experience and the car was functioning the way it’s manufacturer intended. They even suggested a few other things they noticed that needed to be addressed. But not in that way where you feel like they looking to add to the bill. For years I told myself I wanted to give a woman owned mechanic shop a try. And I’m glad I did. They have my loyalty firm now on.

Had an issue with my fuel system for my car. Mike was the technician who worked on my car and figured out the problem and was able to fix it timely and for a very reasonable price. I’ve been to many different mechanics in the last 15 years and this is the BEST place I’ve been to! They’ve always been incredibly polite, straight to the point, no BS, reasonable, and professional. I never feel taken advantage of (because I have ovaries) and they take the time explain everything to me. If we ever move away from Fenton, I would still make the trip out here for service.

Dave did a great job repairing my truck. I would absolutely recommend taking your vehicle here they charge fair prices for good work and get you back on the road quick!

I took my car up there told them I needed both speed sensors and oil change. Told me it was going to be 230 got there to pick it up, bill went up a 100$. They charged me 55$ for a diagnostic test and I never told them to do that just told them what I needed fixed. I asked for my old parts and they told me they threw them away. Pretty sure they only changed one sensor. Cars driving better but not perfect. They triple charged me on the parts(I searched them after I got it fixed thats my bad) they told me I needed a new sway bar link and whatts link. Whatts link isnt even a thing. I asked them to write a quote this time. They wanted 160 dollars for both parts. And 350$ to fix those parts. I looked up the sway bar link and its only 15$! Rediculous. I feel like auto shops take advantage of me bcuz Im a girl and dont know anything about cars. Im over it!

I had to take in my Nissan Murano to Autolab in Fenton, MI. for what I was positive was the front bearings. I knew this would cost around $1700. I was very stressed to say the least. When they started to fix my car I was always getting updates from I believe Dave. Always super, super friendly and so informative! He said it was in fact my power steering pump!! He charged me a reasonable price and I was thrilled with the results!! Most mechanics, I believe, could have replaced my bearings and the power steering charging me a small fortune, Auto Lab DID NOT!! Their honesty is unbelievable and for this they will be the only place I ever take any of my vehicles to be repaired! A co-worker accidentally left their debit card in my car and I returned it the day I was informed. To me this was not a big deal but the gratefulness I received from the owners, again I believe Dave and the woman behind the counter, maybe his wife, I do not know...was unreal!! They thanked me several times and were so grateful which just shows the kind of character they have. Thank you Auto Lab for such an amazing experience which most don’t have when needing a vehicle repair!

Barb was awesome. I was in Fenton for a drug test for a job vehicle started over heating I popped the hood and saw my belt was shredding. Well I started my vehicle and the belt slipped off and the water pump was toast. Pulled in and Barb got me set up with the parts and got it in and worked on right away. Had to have my 2006 GMC truck towed in for wheel bearings. Truck was diagnosed, and determine that both sides should be changed. Had the truck back in less than two days, very quick for a semi-major repair. Straightforward owners, did not try to sales pitch me into things I did not need, and were extremely polite. I have taken my car to them a few times now for different issues and each time they are very clear with what is wrong and what needs to be fixed immediately versus what may not need to be. Ive used Auto Lab a few times. They Have always been polite to talk to.However, today I tried to call and get a price on an oil change. Barb said she would have to call me back in 10 minutes. I find this a little odd because an oil change is something that a car care company would do regularly. After several hours I did not hear from Barb so I called again, this time I got the same story she would have to call me right back. Lo and behold, never got a call. They definitely lost a customer as well as referrals!Its an oil change how hard is it to give a price?

Deb and her brother are amazing. I took my new to me 2014 Mazda CX-5 to see why some lights were coming on that stated I needed maintenance and a tire rotation. Personally I also felt there needed to be a slight alignment. Their tech took it back and fixed the issue and did an once over on the vehicle too to see if there was any upcoming things I should be aware of but all was good!They truly take the time to listen to the issues you are having and make it super easy to have them fixed. When returning home from a trip our car broke down and was taken to this Auto-Lab after closing time. They contacted me in a timely manner the following day and were so helpful through the entire process. Our old jalopy wasnt worth repairing and they connected us with a local scrap yard. Being from out of town it was comforting to have someone like Barb and Dave (owners) help with all the details. Barb never once made me feel like I was asking too much of her. This was by far the best customer service I have experienced in a long time.

I would recommend Auto Lab to anyone. They are just good people and their prices are reasonable. I took my car in for brakes because another company told me that I needed brakes. Auto Lab of Fenton sent me home and said that my brakes had 30% usage left. Plus their quote was 25% less than the other auto repair place. They turn repairs around quickly. There is no reason to go anywhere else.

Id give them 0 stars if i could, they charged me $3000 for a used transmission. They had the replace it twice and it still never shifted right, plus my truck sat there for like 2 months the 1st time and 6 weeks the 2nd time befor they ever touched it.

I took my 2015 Jeep Renegade there for an oil change and check engine light upon a recommendation. Barb was very welcoming, professional and updated me quickly on what triggered the engine light. I will be taking my vehicles there in the future for any repairs and will highly recommend them to friends and family.

Had to service my Coolant system. They diagnosed it and got me back on the road again in no time with good heat for that wintery weather. I recommend these guys for quick, courteous, quality work.

Recently it was so cold out that the outside door latch on my Camary snapped off when I went to open my door (at 5pm). I took it in, Barb and Dave told me not to worry. Left it overnight, and was able to drive away the next day all fixed up. Also, the light bulbs behind my instrument panel had burned out. Dave had one of his guys fix that for me also. I recommend Auto Lab for any problems you may have. Been a customer for over 10 years, never had problem they couldnt fixed. Always a pleasant outcome to any situation.

I have had a very good experience with this place and I havent had any issues with the services they provide. I feel like they try to do what is best for their customers and inform them along the way as service progresses or customer input is needed.

Just be careful.Tow company recommended them (because they have too - I asked if they recommended elsewhere) so I did because a spark plug blew off. They did call the next day and were polite. They gave me the cost but not total cost. upon pickup they charge for some strange things that Tuffy does not charge for like clean-up or rag fees something weird. I questioned the cost of one coil for $79!! and they stated it is because it is better than Autozone which is about $18-20 bucks. Turns out the part is produced same place as Autozone so that is a huge mark-up (yes I checked).Gave them one more shot waited several minutes for 1 customer to do oil change and some checks. When it was my turn I asked to give me a quote where the person stated it will be 10 minutes and asked for my number. I said the computer is right there cant you just check a price? He eyed some paperwork so I just left and he said have a good day.Recommendation - Tuffy.I was renting a car next door so thought it was a good opportunity to look into having them work on mine. I rather tow it then go back.

We found them on a Saturday morning, had a vehicle with catastrophic failure, they not only immediately took care of our vehicle, but our family as well. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Well I bought my dads truck about 3 months ago, had an awful screeching noise but was told he had taken it to this auto lab in Fenton to fix the screeching that turned out to be rear breaks needing to be replaced. He was told the noise couldn’t be fixed but that the rear breaks needed done which they “did” and charged my father. Turns out THEY NEVER EVEN DID THE REAR BREAKS. Took it to rollisons in clio and Man were the rear breaks Toast, first of all not only is this a safety issue of not fixing the rear breaks to begin with but a complete scam saying that they did put all new parts on for rear breaks, charging my dad for something they didn’t even do. Needless to say I am very upset with this situation but my breaks in rear are good now thanks to rollisions and have no noise what so ever . BEWARE
