I love ElMel!. They do great mechanic work on trimmers, mowers, generators and things like that. They also sell plants, vegetables, straw and seeds amongst just about whatever you might need to take care of your yard or feed wildlife. They aren’t afraid to give their competitors business, if they can’t fix something they will send you to someone or a place that will be able to fix it. Good selection of grass seed and knowledgeable staff.

Small warehouse type if place. Filled to rhe brin with lawn products and a helpful, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Highly recommended for the lawn care addicts and pros.

This is one of my favorite places to go. In the spring they have live chicks and ducks. It is more than a lawnmore repair place. They sell animal feed for a variety of animals plus bird seed and corn for squirrel corn. They sell plants, vegetables live and seed.

Lawn mower repair. It works better now.

Its not very competitive with pricing, but it is convenient for some items.

The man at the parts counter was outstanding I needed a spring for the carburetor I was rebuilding. The company that made the carburetor closed so he found one in a old carburetor and gave it to me. I will always go to El-Mel for lawnmower repair and parts

Very knowledgeable and helpful employees. They have a lawnmower junkyard which is pretty cool. Nice assortment of flowers for your garden too. They even gave me a geranium for free since it was Mothers Day weekend. I will definitely be going back.

A old fashioned place with pleasant staff

I went to get vegetable plants. I like that they have singular plants besides 4 packs and 6 packs. Sometimes I only want one or two instead of 4 and 6 of the same plant.

I have been here many times. My go to for seeds, fertilizer, and garden equipment. In spring they have onion sets, rhubarb, strawberry plants and seed potatoes by the lb. They always have bulk seed for agricultural needs.In the back part of store, is the lawn equipment. They sell echo and other good brands, and service everything. They have always been helpful and honest with me. I would recommend this store to anyone in the metro stl area.

I jumped in discussion. Mention I had been to El-Mel their veggies were lower & they had lot of different kinds.They will help with info on veggies .They have lots of seeds too.I shared helpful tips with them.The man said I’m putting my plants back & just go there myself. He thanked me & left.The lady shopper did same. Put her items back.They were eager to go to El-Mel(each person had quite a lot in their carts)The man really surprised me when he said. I remember that place & I use to go there, will I’m going back. And thank me again..That turned out to be -A really nice day. Helping-2-shoppers with tips & saving money!!

I dropped off a poulan pro weed trimmer which would not start or even fire. While I already spoke with poulan customer service about my 2 year warranty expiring 08/2014, I was told my unit would not be covered because of recent restrictions on warranty coverage regarding ethanol. I was told the same by El-Mel at drop off. However, I subsequently contacted husqvarna customer service and complained. husqvarna customer service verified my warranty based on the user guide publication number. They agreed, there was no ethanol restriction in the warranty or ethanol restriction decals on the unit. Today, the owner of El-Mel Larry called to notify me Poulan agreed to replace the unit. Then after getting the 3rd degree from Larry on, a different attachment head, which 2 stroke oil I used, what brand and grade of gas, I was told I could pickup the new unit but they were only open until 3PM
