Ignore the bs one star reviews. Theres a reason that even with them, Ft. Lauderdale Speedometer still have a 4.3 out of 5 stars overall. They are fair, quick and honest full stop. I had an 85 El Camino I brought in. Jay gave me 2 prices: $85 if all that had to be done was lubricate the cable and $150 if he had to pull the dash. He got it done for the $85. They keep their word. If you need anything done with your speedometer, this the only place you need.

Ariel from Lauderdale Speedometer rebuilt my Volvo EVC gauges and replaced both my LCD screens, they tested all my other gauges and made them look brand new. He was awesome to work with and his knowledge lead me to reconfigure my entire glass cockpit.

Extremely prompt service! Ariel really went above and beyond for my no-longer-made display for boat. While I hope I dont have any more failures of this type, I certainly would use Lauderdale Speedo & Compass again if I did. Excellent service.

Many have given a high rating to this outfit and they’re probably very good most of the time. I drove 120 miles round trip to be given the wrong parts. I bring the two sensors back two days later and they charge me 30.00 for a restocking fee and the labor that goes with it. I guess the 30.00 bucks Is gonna keep they’re business afloat, I could have used it to pay the gas bill for my round trip! In my business when I make a mistake I eat it. Not so for Lauderdale speedometer. Will never do business here again!!! Please don’t call me and tell me you’ll give me the 30.00Keep it! Hope it helps with the “Labor” and all the Work that goes with restocking 6 ounces of parts.

Purchased two sending units from this place and was given the cost of each item and after I received the items in the mail I was charged a much higher price for them. I called the next day and was told they couldnt give me the online price which I was quoted for over the phone and was basically belittled by the salesman on the phone about calling to complain about the 10-15 dollar overcharge of my products. They said they would reimburse $10 but it has been almost 3 weeks and still have seen nothin . I will never do business here again and warn anyone else to steer clear.

These guys are outstanding really take great care of their customers. Ive purchased senders gages have had them make me new engine control panels. They are the best in South Florida.

Had an ordering issue with a tachometer that I got from them, but they worked through it with me over a couple days and a couple telephone calls. They were good to their word. I appreciate that, as that is hard to find sometimes. I will come back to them the next time I need something they carry.

So they charged you a bit more. I dont know know what those guages are, but dont be a sore loser. Youre doing what amazon did to department stores. Putting people out of business.

Highly competent repair staff; repair vintage classic car gauges to as new

Ft. Lauderdale and Speedo recommended a particular Marine VDO package with CAT twin engines and upon installation I came across difficulties. Instead of weeks and or days of phone calls or emails, Ariel, had it resolved within hours. That is why the 5 Stars! Many companies do not or will not help with issues after the sale. Lauderdale Speedo did. Great support from them all.

CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am saddened that i have to write this. I have never gave anyone negative feedback before.I found lauderdale speedometer online while searching for a faria rudder angle gauage part#13822 they have it listed on there website for $26.15 + $9.50 for shipping. I called them to see which sending unit i needed to use with it.they told me what was needed but said it was not in stock but they would call when it came in.I was happy when they called to tell me both were in stock and they could ship them that same day.I told them that would be great,gave them my credit card # and went about my day.Then the sad part the package arrived in a few days.To my astonishment they charged me $64.92 for part # 13822 that is $26.15 on their website,they also charged $17.00 for shipping and $3.66 for shop supplies(say whaaaat).I made 3 plesant phone calls to them to no avail!!!!!!!!!Update, I was contacted by ariel shortly after posting this.he was not who i dealt with on the first 3 calls. He was very eager to help.But i still have no explaination as to the way i was treated earlier. I will include a picture of the bottom of there receipt please read carefully
