Gadsden location is horrible. Dont rent a truck from here. Go to UHaul instead.If you have a reservation truck wont be there.

Very helpful with everything she had shipping blankets and hand trucks. Trucks was very clean and ran perfect the lady that works up there was very nice and made us feel at home during this trying time highly recommend

Needed a lift gate to move a piano and Penske came thru for us ! The truck was large enough to fit the fork lift ! Thank you Penske Team !

When I picked the rental truck up it was the cleanest vehicle I’ve ever seen. The lady went out of her way to return calls and assist in any way needed.

I usually like Penske, but the Gadsden location is horrible. Dont rent a truck from here. Go to UHaul instead.See reasons below.(1) When I arrived to pick up my truck, there was a guy in front of me. Hed reserved a 26 foot truck for that morning. Penske had the truck parked out front, but they wouldnt release it to him for reasons they couldnt articulate. He ended up walking away with no truck, even though hed made a reservation well in advance and even though he had movers already lined up to help him load that morning. I have no idea what he ended up doing, but I wouldve been quite upset in that situation.(2) I rented a 16 foot Penske with a hand truck for moving a washer/dryer. Picked up the Penske, took it back to my place. Opened the Penske truck. No hand truck. Drove back to the Penske office and asked where the hand truck was. The secretary for the Meighan location said they didnt have one on the premises. However, there was an office 10 minutes down the road on Industrial Parkway that theyd call to see if those guys had a hand truck. So they make a phone call. The other location says they DO have a hand truck; I just have to come pick it up. I drive 10 minutes down the road to the Industrial Parkway office. Once I get there, the guy says he doesnt know what Im talking about, they DONT have a hand truck, and he never talked to anybody from the Meighan office. So he calls the Meighan office. Turns out the Meighan office had called some other town in Alabama that was also on a street called Industrial Parkway, thinking it was the Gadsden Industrial Parkway location, so my trip down to the other Gadsden location was wasted. So after all of that, I never got a hand truck. Altogether, it took me about an hour to resolve this whole situation, which put me behind schedule, and I ended up having to get a refund on the hand truck, then loading the washer/dryer with no assistance.
