Our family has been going to Dr. Spind for many years. His staff is professional, courteous, and friendly. He takes the time to make sure you are comfortable with your exam and all your concerns have been addressed. Wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Dr Spind is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and takes the time to answer all questions. The testing he does to ensure my eyeglass and contact lens prescription is accurate comes across as much more thorough than Ive experienced with previous eye doctors. I also appreciate that they are always able to provide a sample contact lens if I run into a bind, such as running out of a particular lens early, or while I am waiting for my order to arrive.Im extremely happy that Ive discovered Glen Burnie Eyecare. I used to live 5 minutes away, but since moved much farther, yet continue to make the trip back to GB Eyecare each year because I am so pleased with the service provided.

When my eyes started failing at 27 years old, I was unsure of where to go or what to do. I took a chance with this office and I have not been disappointed at all. I have been going here for 5 years now. Dr. Spind answers all of my questions and explains everything to me. He is patient and listens to your concerns. The office staff is wonderful as well. I never feel rushed. I can take my time choosing glasses. They have a wonderful selection. Also, there is not a long wait. You can be in and out within minutes. I love this office and I hope you will to.

The customer service is terrible here. It all started with the lady at the front desk who could not take down our information correctly. I had to repeat our names and phone number (which they had wrong to begin with) multiple times. Come to find out later, she still didnt enter our information correctly. On top of that, she kept making this weird noise and continuously smacked on her bubble gum. Very annoying.Then, the lady who does your eye glass order gave me bad information. She kept trying to charge me $300 for progressive lenses. I told her with my insurance they should be free. She tried to tell me progressive lenses are never free and they cost $300. She never once said that she would look into it, or tried to find out if my insurance did in fact cover progressive lenses. She just argued with me and was very rude. I then pulled up my insurance information on my phone and low and behold....progressive lenses are FREE! She then became very snobby and more rude. Needless to say, I walked out without purchasing any glasses for myself...I also canceled two more appointments for other family members I had scheduled for the next week.If you dont mind being treated very poorly, then this is the place for you.7/24/2017 EDIT: Your staff member lied to me and tried to rip me off. Even after she discovered she was wrong, she was still extremely rude. As for my reviews, I leave both positive and negative reviews from multiple places and states. Sorry your business fell into the negative review category but when your staff is incompetent, argues with customers and is beyond rude, you should expect a negative review.

I had to re-schedule my appointment a few times before I could actually get there. The office was very good about being flexible with my schedule and also offered late appointments that worked for me. The woman who helps pick out the glasses and writes up the order is very knowledgeable about the products and also helpful in offering advice on which sunglasses would look best on my face. I took a while to actually settle on my pair, and the staff was very patient with me while I narrowed my choices.

They stopped taking state insurance. Pretty pathetic.

Dr Spind is the most caring and thoughtful doctor. Although he wasnt my official doctor, I had an emergency over the weekend and he answered and was very helpful. Then he messaged me on Monday to see how my symptoms were. Not many doctors go out of their way to help or just to see how the patient is in general. Two weeks ago, I came to Glen Burnie Eyecare with nasty eye irritation complete with gunk (Its a medical term). Dr. Spind immediately diagnosed rosacea that was affecting my eyes. He prescribed a combination of eye drops, antibiotic and wipes. Today, I returned for a follow-up, and he said I look much better, and I do feel better than I have in months. I have permanent follow-up treatment due to my skin condition, and I know Im in good hands with Glen Burnie Eyecare.

I have been going to Dr Spind since they were in Aquahart Rd and they are a great office in general. They let you know prices upfront and coverage with insurance and try to help anyway they can. Very professional and friendly and i would recommend anyone to go to their office. 👍👍👍

I have been seeing Dr. Spind for more than 10 years for caring for my annual eye exam. Start 2013, I have changed my Health plan, which use to cover my annual eye exam, to Blue Cross Blue Vision plan. in 2013, I called them to make sure that they do take the insurance, which they have. I have provided the front desk staff my vision plan card both last year and this year. But, for this year, it seems that all the staff member are new. The new staff told me that I didnt provide them my vision card last year. Why would lie since he has been my eye Doctor for years. There are different in co-pay if they billed to my Health plan. When I called back to the front desk. She just angrily said to me that I didnt give them the vision, why would I lied?

I just had my first visit at Dr. Spinds office. His front office staff was fantastic! The dry eye treatment that I had administered was done professionally and with great care. It is very obvious how much the staff and Dr. Spind care about their patients. I highly recommend Glen Burnie Eyeare

I have been coming here for years. Dr. Spind is amazing. One day in 2013 I woke up and could not see out of my left eye and started freaking out. I went right to the office and he took me right back. He did all kinds of test. Said he didnt want to alarm me but what hes looking at seems to be common in people who have MS. I was so scared. So through it all I had optic neuritis. He was totally correct. Ive been diaginosed with MS now since 2013. He sent me to a great doctor that he recomended that took my insurance that day as soon as I left his office. Hes an amazing doctor and very patient and kind hearted. 2 weeks ago I went for my new pair of glasses and while I was there I was very interested in sunglasses. Ive never had a pair before EVER and I wanted them so bad. Well my insurance dont cover them but the lady that fitted my glasses gave me a 35% off coupon of a pair of sunglasses!! Also she said dont worry Ill acknowledge this coupon for a lil over 3 months in case you take a while to save up the money because they are expensive. Wow! Right? Also, to make it EVEN easier she said I could pay it in 2 payments. I LOVE this place and everyone there is amazing. Going tomorrow to put down my first payment and couldnt be anymore excited or happy to finally have my first pair or sunglasses at 30yrs old lol. See ya soon guys. My son had myopia since he was seven. Last year when he was nine, his myopia progressed to -4.25. I was very concerned about it, and read lots of information about Paragon CRT lens. But when we went to see a doctor, he told me that my son has very flat cornea, and Paragon lens wouldn’t work. I didn’t want to give up, and saw another doctor. Basically he told us the same thing. We were so disappointed but noting could be done at that time. This year, my son’s myopia progressed to -5.25 --- -1.00 per year! If his myopia progressed like this, he would get eye disease. I was almost crazy! So I decided to find another doctor to get CRT lens, and my expectation was to stop myopia progression. Luckily I found Dr. Sturt Spind, and I did tell him that if my son’s myopia could stop at -5.25, we would do it. Dr. Spind introduced Euclid lens to us, and he said it would do a better job than Paragon ones on the eyes like my son. Yes, it worked! My son’s eyesight now is almost 20/20; he doesn’t need glasses in his classes. We are so happy with it. All the staff in their clinic is very nice and helpful. The lady trained my son to put in and take out lenes very patiently. Thank you so much Dr. Spind and your staff!

I was a patient of this practice when Dr. Spind joined the office as a co- owner. Not long after, he became the owner. Needless to say I was concerned about the change but gave Dr. Spind a try. So far, so good. Ive just made my first appointment with this center. I read one review that believed the staff lied about taking their insurance. Id like to share that I also asked during my discussion to make an appointment if this center takes State of Maryland BCBS Vision insurance. It was explained to me that there are two providers of vision insurance for Maryland BCBS: One of the coverages is provided directly by BCBS, the other is an outside provider. I was told that since my coverage is directly through BCBS, it is accepted. Perhaps that was a factor in the mistake made for the other reviewer.The receptionist who spoke with me regarding details of my appointment and my insurance was informed, knowledgeable, professional and congenial.Im looking forward to a good experience with Dr. Dana Greiss of Glen Burnie Eyecare.
