Always make sure you are getting the best price, compare the items in the store to their online prices because they will not automatically match it. Also, if you decide to get The Good Sam card make sure you live near some of the locations that are on the discount list, or its not worth it.

First of all its not gander mountain! Its gander outdoors affiliate of camping world! I have found some outrageous prices there but I buy it elsewhere at amazon! They are better than bass pro any day! Not every store has everything but in reality I miss sportsmans warehouse! So save gas if you dont like gander outdoors! Go on amazon!

I dont much appreciate a sales rep walking away from me to help another customer when Im in the middle of making a final decision to purchase a $2,000 shotgun. Thanks. The lack of service easily convinces me to spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere. This store was ten times better when it was Gander Mountain. I spend a lot of money on shotguns every year so dont judge me by my appearance.

Ill say it because I wanted a price match to help them out Academy right down the road had a better price on the same exact shotgun, I figured hey why not spend my money somewhere else, they ended up not price matching me, so I didnt buy it. Walking out the door saw some discounted magazines grabbed one so the trip wouldnt have been for nothing. Turns out it was for the day before but they wouldnt honor it.... Went straight to ACADEMY got the shotgun I wanted plus some mags for my other firearms and was happy.(at academy)Just goto academy, or anywhere else.

We went there a few days before Christmas. Looking for something we were sure we could not find. We talked to 1 of the workers. And he said no. They dont have it. We were disappointed. But figured we should ordered it on line. A few minutes later. 2 guys found us. With what we were looking for!! Now thats customer service!! The gift was for our disabled son. On Christmas when he opened it. He had the biggest smile!! Now he can reel his own fish in with no help! Thanks for the great customer service!!

A great selection range of guns and a good variety of fishing gear while having many other things that an outdoors-man would need or want.I like the large selection of specialty shoes as well. They have Keen and other brands that you do not commonly find around.Clean store and helpful employees that are always close and convenient for your outdoor needs.

While the service here has been good, Im not thrilled with their brand of fishing rods and reels or their warranty service. I purchased a fishing combo for bass fishing less than two months ago and while pulling some line against a loosened drag to tie on a lure, the rod snapped in two. Not even a hard pull was needed to break it. Talk a about poor quality! I called the store to see if they could exchange it since I had the receipt and their Summit Protection plan. Well they dont do in store exchanges apparently. I was told I would need to replace it through the service plan which will take 4 -6 weeks. In comparison, when I broke a Bass Pro Shops brand rod that was 10 months from the purchase date, I took it to Bass pro shops and without my receipt they exchanged it immediately with no questions asked. THATS customer service folks! Of course the top broke off the new rod while I was running the new line through the guides so my new motto is Do Not Buy Store Brand rods ever! The only rods I have had snap on me in 30+ years were those from Bass Pro and Gander Mountain. Poor quality at affordable prices.

My wife and I came in looking to purchase ccw and George was very helpful and patient while we looked at several hand guns. He made suggestions and helped show how to use them. We went to look and compare at another place and ended up coming back to George. We ended up buying 2 ccws and were very happy with the service that he gave us. The store is going out of business which is sad, so thought I would check it out for Xmas gifts the young girls at check out were VERY rude. I dont care the store is closing. I am still a paying customer. I asked to speak with a manager and she rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Said she had been working for 7 days really!!!!

Not very helpful. Almost as though no one works there. Had to hunt down someone to get a help getting a particular boot size, then the guy brings me sizes I didnt need and takes off. Pretty sure this guy was a manager. Have to go get boots somewhere else cause I needed a little help.

Just because this place is going out of business doesnt mean they have the right to treat customers like crap . The whole staff was telling us we had to leave the store now my family and I were just floored when we were rushed out of the store a minute till 9 pm . My son who is 14 was just freaking out on how crappie the employees were treating us and now we know why they are going out of business. My husband bought 3 guns from this place over the last 3 year, he always said he wanted to help out the local business in our area, now Im sorry but Im glad to see them go .. No sales and poor customer service

Your website says opens at 9 and there was about 7 vehicles in your lot. When you get up to the door it was locked and said opens at 10. Poor service. Took my business to cabelas.

Prices are crazy high. Although they do have an extensive selection, but the customer service is lacking compared to their competitors. I would only recommend if you absolutely couldnt find a specific product elsewhere.

Needed trolling prop, went to three other major stores and only Gander Outdoors had it. Even got Good Sam discount.

Gander outdoors improved on anything gander mountain was not so great at. They have much better firearm selection and prices and even carry suppressors! They have surpassed cabelas on pricing, selection, and service. You greeted when walking in and arent hounded by salespeople, but they will see if you need help. Gander outdoors probably has twice the available guns and ammo as cabelas has. At least in Green Bay. They even have bicycle repair in house if youre into that as well as tons of outdoor/sportsmens items. Glad gander came back as a strong retail contender.

I have been going to their competitor. The last few times I was there. It wasnt what it used to be. I went to Gander. I got the service I was looking for.

The selection isnt as large as the original gander mountain but they seem to have kept just the best of what was available. The prices seemed competitive as well.

I really want this store to make it and I keep giving them chances hoping that their service will improve but sadly I guess thats a pipe dream. Today, Saturday 2/6/2016, 10 am I decided I would try to buy a hand gun at this Gander Mt once more. Entered the front door went straight to the gun counter and took a number as the sign posted instructed. As usual they had only one person working the gun counter and he was engaged with a customer in BS. He was processing a gun sale at least but they were spending more time BSing than attending to business. I was there to purchase a $1,000. + Sig Sauer model P220 Elite .45, ready to make the purchase! I knew that this same gun was in stock at a local Gun Store but I figured I would get a better price at GM so against my better judgement based on my past experiences I gave GM another chance. I waited and waited to be helped. Two more customers pulled numbers and waited, then another customer so I finally called the store and ask the customer service guy who answered to get somebody back to the gun counter because there were now a few of us waiting. Time went by and then a sales person finally popped out of the back just to tell us that he had two guys on the way and they should be here soon. I PUT MY TICKET ON THE COUNTER AND LEFT! THIRTY MINUTES FROM THE MOMENT I WALKED INTO THE STORE! I HOPE SOMEONE AT GANDER MOUNTAIN READS THESE.

They seem to have lots of stuff. Its a bit on the spendy side. The staff was nice. I have never seen more than 5 customers in this store.

I recently purchased a new 30.06 rifle here and the process was very painless, the price was right and the sales people were very knowledgeable.

There are no dead animals on the walls which makes this girl happy. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Came in to buy some saltwater lures, and was pleased to see that they were cheaper than Amazon on most items. The clearance bin was also full of rapalas!

Clearly marked Aisle of marine equipment at 40%off claimed it was 30%off, wouldnt make it right even though they are definitely up charging customers. check your reciepts, they are obviously going out of business for a reason. .. Academy prices are cheaper than their discount prices glad they are going.

I agree with Phil. Terrible customer service at gun counter. Always one person working, and if they are making a gun sale, you can forget about getting any assistance. I have gotten completely ignored on 3 separate occasions and will never go back. Not even an Ill be right with you or anything. I will spend my money somewhere else.

Close out? Everything sacrificed? Hmmm... even at their lowest possible price their items are priced higher than other retail stores in the area. Ridiculous.

Absolutely appalled at the customer service here. I walked in to buy a new shotgun, but waited for 20 minutes and was never helped, so I left. Had cash in hand for the gun and am disappointed because they happen to have the gun I have been looking for and was having trouble finding. I suppose I will keep looking. I will do business anywhere else but here. largest gun selection doesnt mean much unless there is someone willing to help sell them.

Went to purchase walkie talkies from this store. The store mislabeled the walkie talkie and the store managers (chris) first words was that they didnt have to honor their mistake. Didnt expect them to give us the discount but his rude interaction lost them a sale and and future customers.

Website says this place has a gunsmith. Came here to change out my sites, and the guy said all they knew how to do there was put scopes on rifles. If I wanted to change out my pistol sites he had to ship it to Wisconsin.

Ammo is really expensive- better bargains at Walmart - paid $3-4 a box more for 9mm ammo than in other stores. The guys selling guns had a chip on their shoulder - one was very condescending to a guy asking a lot of questions about handguns. Im sticking to Academy or Cabelas as Academy is a bit cheaper and you get better service at Cabelas.

I love this place and the staff in the gun DEPT is top notch and knowledgeable.

I purchase hard to find guns from Gander as they have items that can be hard to find elsewhere however they are 15-20% above anyone else in price. That said I was notified the other day that the chain or store policy is that there is a 8 Business day waiting period on a Delay when purchasing a firearm. The government only requires 3 days so I am not sure why a store would want to infringe further upon our second amendment rights with this kind of policy; especially a store that advertises being a protector of the 2nd amendment. The policy will cause me to shop elsewhere as it is ludicrous to give in to the anti-gun lobby and/or corporate lawyers to inconvenience customers this way.
