RED EVO XRudest dealership I have ever been to and car is not all what it seems to be so look over carefully and read below.I went here to check out a Evo x they had listed for sale. The car was missing the front bumper which is no big deal for the price but there was also a leak by the rear differential which the dealership had failed to acknowledge. I decided to take the car for a test drive and see how it was. The vehicle was listed with a 40K mike motor, the clutch was supposedly just changed with a stage 3 clutch. I’ve driven a genesis with a stage 3 and by no means was it a stage 3 clutch. During the test drive it started out fine until going into 3rd gear. It grinded. I kept driving and went through all gears, then came time to put it into 3rd again, it grinded. I decided to slow down and try going for 3rd one last time. I was really slow this time and gave the car time for the synchros to match up. It grinded. I took the car back and parked it. I then went inside to talk to the sales lady about the car. She was on the phone with the owner and mentioned about being tired of people “nit picking” the car and that they should put the front bumper on and sell it for what it is worth. I had asked relaxer about a warranty on the vehicle and or work performed and was told that it will not be under any warranty unless the “race injectors” were removed and the check engine light was off then it could be placed under warranty. Apparently it didn’t matter if it was professionally removed or not. They said according to car X that’s why the CEL was on. I asked if there was paperwork stating this and none was found. I also saw the service active yaw control message had came on. There was no Wisconsin buyers guide in the vehicle. I had my sales license a few years ago and I for one am for sure it is a LAW to have the Wisconsin buyers guide in any vehicle on the lot that is offered for sale. I spoke more to the lady and she was very rude so I asked to see when the owner would be in so I could deal with him directly and basically got told that I can only deal with her and that they were not budging on the price. She called the owner right in front of me and was making rude comments to him over the phone about me looking at this vehicle. All my vehicles I have ever owned have been a manual transmission, she says the owner said the reason it grinds into 3rd is because I was not waiting lone enough for the “gear to drop” she said “that’s why I have never had an issue when I drove it”. She stated that Saturday they were going to put the bumper on and sell it for $23,000 like what it it’s worth. The paper work I was shown is that the flywheel was resurfaced and that motor they installed was from a ralliart. It showed nothing about mileage on the engine or the clutch or any labor associated in it or anything like that. The lady continued being rude so I had decided to leave. Also the clutch makes noise when you are in the drivers seat with the door open. If you push the clutch the noise goes away otherwise it makes a slight grinding noise when the clutch is out.PLEASE CHECK THIS VEHICLE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BUY.
