Large exchange. Kind of pricey. Large shoe section. Nice selection of pistols. Impressive fast food restaurants & unique concessionaires.

Big open exchange. Loved the furniture area. The electronics and sporting goods were awesomely stocked. Some of the staff could stand to be a bit more helpful, but good experience overall

If youre looking to purchase a weapon and you have base privileges look no further than Langley Exchange! I recently purchased two weapons from here: a pistol and a rifle, the process was very smooth and the associates working the counter were very courteous.They also were very good at answering any questions you may have about different firearms and unique features. Some of the things you will need to purchase and pick up your firearm are two forms of identification in which one must have your address. Also be prepared to pay two dollars for your background check which can take awhile at times.My first background check for my pistol took a little over two hours and the second for the rifle was about forty minutes. I spent my time waiting at the food court eating Subway and watching the jets fly by through the window. They will call you when the background check goes through.I ordered my weapons through their online site and it took around a week and a half to arrive at the store. You will receive an email when to pick the weapons up.Ok back to the counter, once your background check is complete, you will purchase your weapon and your process is complete. Oh I almost forgot the most important thing you will have to do is fill out forms prior to the background check and the clerks will make sure you have completed them correctly.They also have weapons in the store for purchase for those not ordering online but the selection is not as varied as online. Well I hope this helps some new people during their first purchase, the exchange is a great place to start your collection with fast and friendly store associates.

As far as BXs go, this place is tiny and has very little I would buy. However, the food court is an oasis of lunch time dining.

Great, nice, and clean. Short of finding someone for assistance. However, cashiers were very helpful.

It seems like the Exchange is slowly losing its competitive edge despite being a tax free.

I like shopping at the Exchange, they usually have a large selection of items. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Perhaps the price match with no sales tax is the best part. Of course, profits go to MWR to support the troops.

Its a military post exchange / base exchange. Nothing really exciting about these places.

Great food court and a decent electronics section. The still high prices of clothing leave much to be desired. Good deals on appliances if you catch them at the right time. Good lawn and garden but a dedicated entry in summer would be nice.

AAFES has really changed since my active duty days. I know times change, and I totally get the idea of keeping with the times. Not significant price differences like times past and the selection of many things are on the higher end, not, in my opinion targeting the entire military spectrum, E1 to senior officers alike. Unless Im looking for a large purchase, I almost totally avoid AAFES since the only savings is tax, and in my experience, price matches are miserable as staff acts like they have a direct impact on their own salary.

Professional staff. Told me about a coupon day to come back on to buy what I wanted. The Starbucks there is good too. I got perfume trial pack and Bill found their gun counter to be good. It was clean and nice to visit. Helpful. I’ll be going back on the coupons day Nov 7th where I spend 60 dollars and get 15 off!

Average at best, employees always rude, politics and corruption at AF senior staff levels would not let them make it clean and modern, the floor is just broken concrete.

Subway, Popeye, Arbys, Starbucks are available. signs saying Qdoba and Panda Express coming soon have been up for months

Bathrooms need to be updated, and some of the temporary retail spaces seem to be consistently empty or occupied by very specific shops that are selling types of items that are already for sale in the BX.The staff at the BX are friendly and flexible but AAFES is the thing holding this location back

Was looking for printer ink and I got to tell you there is not a well stocked shelf there at all for printer ink. They dont seem to have an intrest in that. Easy in and easy out. That was good. As printers go, its cheaper in the long run to buy a new printer rather than the ink. Ink cost $70.00 and last three weeks. New printer $ 140.00

It has everything you need. Its not one big facility like Norfolk NEX, but it has something for anything you are looking for. Customer service is good.

The BX is very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It’s not the largest BX I’ve ever been to but it’s definitely one of the nicest.

The Exchange has everything you need. The prices are good and the selection is good.They have all the departments are the same as you would find at any civilian department store.Often times they will have items on clearance and the prices really go down. I once bought a new pair of New Balance shoes that had a normal price of $90.00 for $25.00. The other departments have good clearance sales also.The sales associates working there are helpful and friendly. The cashiers are fast and good at their jobs, its clear that theres a good training program in place.I recommend the exchange to all that are eligible to us it.

It would be very helpful to put out about the restrictions that are in place during this time. As a retired military personnel, the restrictions prevent me from picking up my purchase. When I did research the information put out by the base, does not restrict the BX, just the Commissary. I have to lose a day of work, no pay, to get to BX for the times that the base has set aside. Think it would be better to have days spread out vice back to back. Better yet follow your own rules.Steve Bennett, ENC-RET20 April 2020

Love this store. Well lit, clean, easy to find what you are looking for. Employees are courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. Some go beyond their duty to help find an item or if they carry it on a regular basis. I really enjoy shopping here.

In desperate need of renovation inside. The staff is extremely slow and seem under-trained and unmotivated. Its easier to drive to Target off-base for anything you need.

Great!---They need a *NEW!* CLOTHES BUYER, THOUGH!!!🙄 so they can buy some *COOL!* CLOTHES and get rid of all those weird; old-fashioned clothes!!🤔

Very disappointed. Subway had no bread, the lemonade was empty, the exchange had numerous items out of stock throughout the store. At the shopette they did not have pina colada mix or strawberry daiquiri mix.

Pretty light weight, over priced as usual not competing with out side markets, food court is good and clean for the most part restrooms are like a beer bar smelly,dont offer much selection more like a big shoppet from the lack of cramped space to try and cover a variety, just pitiful, a Retired Army Veterans perspective any ways.

They was lady in customer service dept. is so lazy and slow. Makes mistakes on the receipt. I returned one jacket and she gave me refund for two jacket and I went back to ask her to fix it but she is mad at me for being honest. Then she fixed it but lied on my receipt saying I have two jacket, and took the extra money on the gift card back. It is very shameful and I ask them to call the manager and no one came. I still kept my reciept as a proof. I only go there thinking my money can be use for military service, but dealing with those unmotivated cashiers is very sad. They need to train their employee right!!!!Update: I changed my star to 4 after seeing change in customer service management. I love their clearance deal with star member save extra percentage with tax free!!!I personally appreciate the store give back to military service on their profit and gift card drawings are nice. The store itself is clean and organized.

A lot has changed in a month just found out exchange no longer sells DVD movies which is kind of a bummer but understandable given that everybody streams nowadays but theres the few of us that still like to collect them but thats what we got Walmart. Over all still cant beat the discount will come back.

Great place to shop if you can. This place is for Military members (active and retired) and their families. While you can find good deals sometime the deal will be label you have never heard of.

Excellent full-service Exchange. Large selection of products, great sales prices, location convenient in the Hampton area. The cigar humidor in the AAFES Gas Station and package store is very good.

Exchanges and commissaries were a great benefit in the pre-2000 era but there are so many other cheaper options that perhaps closing CONUS stores to save money is an option.

After some trouble with an associate i contacted the manager. Mrs. Stacy was not only providing the best customer service she also went above and beyond to make sure we got the product we initially wanted. Thank you very much for the exeptional customer service from management!

Store is clean and prices are slightly better (Apparel wise) then outside the gate, but I dread coming here during the peak operating hours because you could be in line for 15-20 minutes just trying to check out.

Used to be the jewel in the crown of the military exchanges in Hampton Roads but its starting to look like a Kmart because the store is really showing its age since I first came here in 1998.

Good selection and prices, like everywhere need to know what average price is for good deal but many to be found. Cleaner than most.

Mixed feelings about this place. Bought some electronics and it was good. Then went to the furniture area and no help. Approached this lady at the furniture cashier “three times” because i had questions and to see if she would get up off her butt to offer me more help/explanation about the products but felt like I was a bother to her as she and another worker continued to sit there chit chatting...im new to the area and seem to be the trend here in VA everywhere i go. Thought the base would be different. Nope, guess its a VA thing a guess.

The BX is decent, but most cashiers are so unmotivated, slow and rude. They need to do some customer service training. I do understand that sometimes customers can be rude, but don’t act like that towards everyone just because one person treated you some kind of way.
