Pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and attention to detail. They stay busy but its worth the wait to get a opening. The price is fair not cheap and well worth it.

They are excellent mechanics with very good prices! Took my avalanche there for a starter. Not only did they do an awesome job on that, they fixed what I thought was an O2 sensor issue-it was an oil gauge issue. Fixed that for me too. Re-seated my battery and got the lost socket out (all my fault-long story lol) Prompt, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and will go above and beyond to fix your problem. I have found MY mechanics for life! After I save up, Im giving them my Mercedes to fix 😉😉 Id recommend them to everyone who needs car repairs. 5 stars +++

Took my avalanche down there on February 19th for a transmission rebuild. Wes was gone on vacation for a week and we understood that. They were supposed to start it when he got back the next Monday. It has been sitting in same spot since we dropped it off untouched. My husband has been down there 3 times to check on progress and was promised dates. Went today to check on it and Wes the manager got smart and got an attitude with me and said he never talked to anyone about it. I walk outside to tell my husband what was said. Wes then sends one of his technicians out there to basically tell us to just take the truck with us. Which we were already on our way in to get the keys. I have never been disrespected more by a shop, especially a manager.

My SUV broke down on 65 South (headed back to Mississippi) at 3am and was referred to Smith Auto by the guy towing us. I didn’t know who to go to because I’m not from the area (let alone Alabama), so I took the chance. Wesley Smith identified the issue immediately and told me my transmission needed rebuilt. His pricing was reasonable and most likely better than most. He’s highly experienced in transmission rebuilds and it shown when he was finished with it in a day and a half. It runs better than it has and I couldn’t be happier with the way everything went.

I dropped in without notice due to starter issues on my CTS V. Wesley and his team went above and beyond replacing my starter, wrapped my headers, and starter with heat shielding. They gave me phenomenal service and a very good price. These guys know their stuff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Holy cow is this shop awesome . Very quick very helpful and prices that I haven’t seen in some time . Definitely honest and trust worthy. I spent about 8 hours in a Mercedes repair shop only to break down a couple of hundred miles away . My alternator quit on me so I called the local orielly auto part store got the part and brought it down to the shop. He had it on the vehicle in less than 2 hours . Helped me with a couple of other minor repairs as well ( it seems the Mercedes dealership forgot to put a couple of bolts back in as well as not hookup some parts ... not a good show for the kind of bill they left me with ~$1500....)

I’ve had excellent service from Wesley and Chris every time I pop in to get a truck worked on or to check on progress. I’ve spent several tens of thousands with this company with no complaint, from small repairs to installing new motors, axles and transmissions.

We love Smith automotive and was and his crew xox he does all my vehicles includ8ng my 1982 corvette with so many motor mods her name should be Frankenstein. They are miracle workers. Kind men. Knowledgeable. Fair . friendly. Hometown non corporate family people and I love them. I met them bc I hit another customers car in the lot. Wes the owner was so kind and understanding to me that I gave him all my business and recommend him to everyone i trust.
