I have worked for Thomas Engineering for 5 years. The company offered self-insured health care plan for the employees and their families. We payed our premiums in order to have health insurance. In 2013 my wife had treatments for arthritis, however the insurance company didnt cover the expenses for that treatments. Thereafter, my family was sued to pay $19, 200, which now increased to $24,000 after court fees and interest. By law they took $10,000 from our checking account and that was a serious hit for our financial situation. We dont know how to handle it.
