I have had Pella Windows installed in my home for more than a decade. At the time of installation the service was excellent and since then the windows have operated without incident [except for the time my Labrador Retriever tore into one of the lower awning-style windows. The repair was done promptly and professionally]. Recently one window needed the blinds mechanism repaired. I received excellent, professional service from the employees doing the scheduling and from the technician making the house call. Good service should be acknowledged. BTW: I dealt directly with Pella and not a second-source provider.
I have Pella windows installed. Contacted through email and they forwarded to the Oahu customer service. Took them over a month to call. Missed their call, I call back and leave a message. Took them another few weeks to call back. Long story but I could not use the lifetime warranty that comes with the window. They couldnt even give me the part number I needed. I searched online and found by parts for $1 each.
We purchased windows and doors for our entire house through Lowe’s a year ago and we still have issues. Between a missing window received 6 weeks later, missing screens, bent parts that were bent back into place instead of replacing, missing hardware that takes weeks to be shipped in and then once here a few more weeks to schedule a visit. It took 4 months to finally get missing sliding glass door parts and visit for repair and just noticed the catch for the lock is missing so we are still not secure! Apparently parts are not housed here and they ship each part in. Not very efficient!!We purchased Pella because we “thought” they were supposed to be the best. They have failed us in pretty much every way possible.
Once they used to be good. Need sliding door serviced and after being on hold for quite some time I got to the service department. They told me that after providing them my credit card for securing the $75 service call to evaluate a warranty claim that their person would call me back in a day or two. It is now a week later and no phone call. I called the office today at 2:30 PM on Aloha Friday and they are not taking calls and consequently the call did not go through and I was disconnected. Does not leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Zero knowledge, and therefore interest, in supporting 2-3 year old products. No one seems to have a clue. Hawaii Kai too far to drive. Ever-ending circle of forwarded phone calls, to result in starting over again. Employees on phone even laugh at their OWN company. Front office women have FULL attitudes. Pathetic and regretful experience, after $25k investment!!!
Poor customer service and quality of goods from shipping. Too many damages incurred on my windows and sliding doors; missing items essential to the products. Ridiculous wait time. Two months and counting....they think theyre product is so superior that just expect you do wait. Obviously nothing is their fault and that they have no remorse for anything, they just expect you to wait. So if you like to pay for something in advance and then wait for all of it to come in, go ahead and use Pella. Obviously it didnt matter that I spent almost 10K on windows from them. They care about no one.
ProSource of Honolulu is a ProDealer of Pella Windows and Doors. Another option should you be looking for materials for your project
Extremely poor service. A defective window was delivered. It has been 3 months and not solved yet. Phone call not returned, when they finally answered my call, the clerk was arrogant and not at all helpful. We demand refund and yet they insist on sending service man after 5 months !!! The name Pella Window is absolutely damaged.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. After they promptly took our money, they totally ignored our requests to repair four windows that were not working. There is no service department on the island (they use third party companies), so, you will have to deal with the Mainland. They dont return phone calls, and dont seem to communicate well internally. They never follow-up on their promises. Wish we knew all of this before hand ... we would have gone somewhere else. You should, while you still have the chance, and save yourself all of the agony in dealing with a company that does not care about their customers.
Takes forever to get someone on the phone, they dont return calls, service is slow, wrong parts ordered routinely, and repairs dont last very long. Very disappointed with both the product and service.
No return call
