Discovered an error in my pickup order and inadvertently held their staff up after hours. Their professionalism and patience in figuring out and subsequently helping me with my issue was more than I expected, and appreciated. Highly recommended!

Terrible experience. Went in to possibly furnish a New home and start a registry. The short, elderly blonde woman there was helping another customer. I was waiting patiently to at least be acknowledged and to ask if I should wait or if they would be a while. She walked away from the customers she was helping to check something in the back and I said very politely “excuse me” (just so I could ask if she was going to be a lot longer and if I should wait) but before I could, she cut me off and said with an attitude “I’m not finished with them.” This turned me off from pottery barn and will be going elsewhere.

This was a horrible experience. Wife and I needed to outfit an apartment, went looking for a couch, two chairs, media center, bedroom bed, dresser, dining tables chairs etc. After almost an hour with us looking through the store at items with no sales person acknowledging us, we made it to the front counter to be told we needed to make a design appointment but they were booked and too busy today and tomorrow. Hard to believe but we just got turned away... incomprehensible.EDIT: We went to a different store, greeted right away, worked with a wonderful designer and purchased our sofa, media console, swivel chairs, dining table and chairs, bed, mattress, some benches, other tables etc... whole apartment furnishings... Pottery Barn does have a nice product and nice genuine people... just not at this store.

Pottery Barn in Huntington provides the worst possible customer service and they dont care at all about customers! I ordered a sectional from Mary Ellen-after it took 4 hours to write up a simple order-it came in with wrong configuration and with a black stain! Nancy and Harriet who claim to be managers said they would help me. Harriet turned me over to a girl named Robin-who she said was the best. I drove out there and met with Robin-who said she would reorder the sectional with correct configuration! After 3 weeks-I called and emailed Robin to get a status update on the order. She emailed me to call customer service and she never ordered it! She said she was helping a guest and told someone to tell me she couldnt come to the phone!! They just pass the buck and are the worst to deal with!! Dont you think that Harriet or Robin could have had the professionalism and decency to let me know that they never placed this order? Too much trouble I guess!! Glad I would never treat a customer like that!!

We had the most wonderful experience working with Katelyn at Pottery Barn in Huntington to design my living room. My husband and I had shopped around for furniture at some larger department stores but they could not even come close to the quality of service that was offered to us at Pottery Barn. Katelyn is an amazing designer and she is also passionate about her work and very patient! My living room is very small and is connected to both my dining room and kitchen. I was therefore finding it very challenging to find pieces of furniture that allowed us to maximize seating and space without seeming too overwhelming in size. Katelyn helped us to envision a floor plan that was both functional and beautiful. She showed us so many lovely fabrics for our couch that paired well with different rugs and accent pieces. She helped us narrow down our choices and even came to our home with large samples so that we could visualize the colors in our space. When we were ready to make our purchase she made sure we got the best possible deal and helped us save money. In the end we could not be happier with the way the room turned out, it looks like a picture right out of a magazine! We are so thankful that Katelyn spent so much time with us to help us design such a beautiful space! Be sure to ask for her when you schedule your design appointment!

Walked into pottery barn which is very close to where I live twice. While in the store I walked around and was interested in a specific sofa. Not one person came over and asked if I needed some help. I tried asking one person who was on a phone call if she would please come over and Help me when she got off and she never came over. I left and tried again later only to have the same thing happen, not one person was available. I will not be returning to pottery barn there are so many other places to shop I would think during this time they would be more concerned about customer service.

Pottery barn overall has the worst customer service Ive ever seen. I ordered a couch and chairs which were supposed to be delivered in October. Then when October comes its November...then we get a call saying April. We try to cancel, they give us a hard time but eventually cancel (so they said) and a month later my credit card gets charged. We fix that ( so we thought) 2 months later it gets charged again for a higher amount then before and its still going and the people on they phone are rude and cant even cancel a simple order. pottery barn sucks.

My shopping experience at this particular store was disappointing. For the hour I was there, not a single associate asked if I needed help. I suspect its because Im brown. The store associates and the majority of customers were white. If youre brown, stay away.

Joanne is our go to person in the design service dept. Shes helped us complete multiple rooms in our Southampton & Northport homes. Joanne has a BEAUTIFUL sense of style and an amazing ability to envision how all the furniture pieces should be placed for great comfort & luxury. She has saved us time and so much money by assisting us with great ideas that would otherwise cost a fortune to have completed. We could not be more pleased with Joannes help and the design service at the Pottery Barn .. Thank you !!

Worst after sale service of all! Poor quality of furniture, they are not as nice as they looked!! If they have negative starts, I would give a -1 star! !I was a big fan of PB and bought a whole dinning set with four leather chairs and one long bench, the design is cool, but quality is horrible. in the first month of gently use it as we have a eat in kitchen. When we sit down and got up, the cushion doesnt come back to its shape, which means inside the seat, the use very low quality of cushions. After three month (that was Thanksgiving and Christmas time), we wanted to take the extra leaf out to make it back to the smaller size. the hard wood mechanism under the table just doesnt work. Thats when our nightmare started. It lasted for 4 years going back and forth being pushed around by the store manager. They asked us to use soap, use lubricants, and not responsive to my calls and emails. Finally we hired a 3rd party to pay $500 replace the whole sliding structure under the table. The technician told us the table was a defect. But it was too late to ask for an exchange or refund. we also bought two full size bed for our boys. One bed just totally broke after 3 years. I called the store, the corp office and anyone I can call but no one seems to know what they can do or just couldnt care less.To conclude, Pottery Barn sells good looking overpriced poor quality junks! Poor management and no customer services at all. Dont get fooled by the look and their advertisement. No one work there care for their customers once the goods are sold! This is the Huntington store in NY. I hope the other stores are better, but I will not give them a chance again!

I worked with Amy Denien & she could not have been more helpful! I purchased bedding for 2 bedrooms. Amy spent at least an hour with me & made numerous trips upstairs to check stock for me. I would not have come up with the combinations that she did & I have a custom, designer look in both bedrooms. So pleased!

Customer service is terrible! I went in many times and no one came to help me. Whenever I managed to get someone to help me, they were uninterested, unhelpful and did not know anything about the merchandise in the store. I seemed to know more about the product then they did. When I asked a sales person for help, there were countless times they told me they were busy and could not help me and turned back to what they were doing. What kind of service is that? It is a shame because Pottery Barn has great stuff and that is the only reason I considered going back. I would not recommend going to this place, maybe at other locations the service is better but not here. I have never had a good experience at this place and I am not planning to go back.

We moved into our new home in Brighwaters in August and called to make an appointment to speak to someone for help. We initially spoke with the design studio director who listened to our needs and was very helpful and knowledgeable. She referred us to work with Pam who had a lot of experience with knowing how to pick perfect custom pieces and accessories for our rooms. She prepared a pretty computer illustration of our layout and worked with us every step of the way to select comfortable and cozy items for our living room, bedroom and dining rooms ..... 2 months later we have received almost everything ( there were some pieces that got backordered ) but we are delighted with the items we picked out together and SO grateful for this helpful complimentary service your company provided ... Thank you so much .. Love PB.

First off - only reason I give this 2 stars is a. for the product, and b. for the pretty holiday gift wrap...anyway! It was my first time shopping in this location, and in my other trips there are a few different places that you can check out to speed things along...NOT HERE! I stood on what i assumed was the checkout line, only to have the person in front of me and the cashier walk off together, not say a word to me or the people behind me...and left us in line for twenty minutes...yes twenty minutes. Not a sorry, this register is closed...I will be right back...you cant pay here...NOTHING! Was I the only one annoyed by this? Probably because as I am looking around hoping the people behind me are just as frustrated, I am let down tremendously. okay...so I make a trip to another register...same thing! People are talking amongst themselves, not caring that Ive got my hands FULL with items because these people are not bright enough to make their baskets capable of holding items such as their giant fur throws...but anyway, no help there...I walk away annoyed and flustered. Finally, I see two employees just standing there talking to each other, and not wanting to disrupt their conversation, I wait there for a second with my finger up a tad...signaling that I just have a quick little question and I am doing my best to be as little disturbance as possible...dont ask why I am still so kind. After standing there for a little while longer than a second - mind you I am not even inches away from these women. They continue talking. So I speak up and say excuse me...NOTHING!!! They dont even look at me!!! As if I am invisible. I cant be seeing this clearly, can I??? So I ask again...Excuse me miss... NOTHING AGAIN!!!!!!!! I am trying to incredibly hard to keep my cool. Excuse me maam where can I checkout? FINALLY this older woman looks at the items in my hands...not even at my face and asks me, what? WHERE CAN I PAY!? my tone at this point is clearly ticked off. She says not a word, and points to my left you can pay up there in this tone that I take as what are you stupid, have you never shopped at Pottery Barn before, you cheap little girl I kid you not, thats the message I received just from her tone. Eventually, I make it up to the register and it is my turn to check out. I am mid check out when this older hag comes around the register, looks at me and asks me did you find everything okay today? LOLOLOLOL I want to roll on the floor in giggles. I respond with the nastiest comment I can form at the moment. Yes I did, and not with your oh so friendly help. From there, I continue to tell her how obnoxiously rude she is, how can she treat hard working customers this way - especially so close to the holidays? I also tell her just a little info...that I too work in the service industry, and how I would never dream of belittling a customer in the manner that she has. I also for the last little nag tell her with my bag in my hand that I hope she has nasty holiday Never have i encountered such rude, nasty, unhelpful, lazy workers in my life. Surely, she is someones mother...grandmother...sister. How?!!!!! SEE YOU NEXT TIME LADY!!!!

Beautiful !! Amazing job Karen C. and thank you soooooo much. I called the design studio for assistance in early November to help us design several rooms for our home renovations in Roslyn Heights. We were directed by a helpful, lovely lady to meet with Karen for design help.. She told us Karen has a beautiful sense of style and knows how to coordinate colors and furniture pieces and WOW, was she right .. Karen sat down with us and listened to everything we wanted to achieve for our everyday living space. She patiently worked through each room ( 4 rooms) with suggestions and ideas that were exactly what we needed. She even thought about the small things such as the entry way organizing and extra storage in a living room ottoman .. This kind of service would have been so expensive, but thanks to you we have all that weve dreamed of in our new space. The only issue we had was with furniture pieces shipping really late, but I give 5 stars to Karen ..

This store deserves a 0- star rating! I ordered some light fixtures that turned out to be inappropriate for the spaces intended. I was told by PB customer service to return them to a PB store and wait for the credit ( about $600) to be mailed to me in the form of a gift card as it was past the 90 day mark. I returned the fixtures to the Huntington store. The cashier told me to call the store the following day to speak to “Patty” to ensure that the fixtures will be sent back. It’s been over 3 weeks and Patty has not returned my calls. The corporate office only has record of 1/2 of my return. Whenever I call the store the line is either busy or “Patty” is not there. I called corporate and spoke to a “Jasmine” who assured me that she would look into the matter and would call me back... she never did!Restoration hardware has WAAAAAY better customer service... I never had any issue with and orders. PB is overpriced grief and aggravation... Never Again!

Seriously, never shop at this place ever! We ordered 3 curtains and railings over 3 weeks ago. When it arrived there were NO finials with the order. We had them installed and hoping to get it resolved quickly, my wife called the store, to be passed off like a pinball to the customer service line, and back to the store again. When I called them, a person called Kaitlyn spoke to me, and said “if you call our other store they can take your credit card details”!! I explained it was ALREADY paid for, and that I needed her to send the 6 finials out to us ASAP. To which she said “we can’t order from here, and you’d need to pay for them again”. I couldn’t believe my ears, and asked to speak to the manager. So Harriet came to the phone, I explained the situation (for the 3rd time that day), and to my amazement she told me “well we can’t order anything from here, you need to call our other store”. I was furious and told her I’d come in personally to resolve this, which I am doing on Thursday. After that, I will NEVER set foot in that place again. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Some of the rudest staff I’ve ever dealt with. Unless you’re dressed head to toe in designer clothes, they don’t treat you with any respect. There’s a huge difference in how they treat the woman with a Chanel bag and the one that has a bag from Target. They don’t even try to hide it.
