Nice collection, however the staff has no customer service. when I went looking for some sarees,the ladies asked me to go behind the counter,at first I was happy thinking they let me look at sarees up close. However they just left me behind the counter and were attending to their own stocking work. to be honest I felt like an employee there at that point. They seriously need some training on sales and service

Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind.‘Nalli Silks’ is synonymous to the Eiffel Tower in France for people who visit my state Tamil Nadu or my city Chennai, in India. To find one in NJ, USA was like a home coming straight away.The place wasn’t difficult to spot and they’d have a minimal parking for customers. Me and my wife visited this shop to check out their collections and the price range was both affordable and variant. My wife was very much impressed with their collection of sarees and got herself one after looking through it.They offer hand sanitizer right after you enter the shop and the staff are very helpful and accommodative. They had a small collection of veshtis (dhothis) and shirts for men as well. The shop certainly has a good vibe to it and we will certainly be visiting them more often in the future.

Very very very Poor customer service. Nalli has good reputation and so many people are happy that they have a store in NJ but the customer service ruins everything.

The manager Manju is very rude to all customer there. Managers needs to be very patience and helpful. Nalli usually close at 8pm now. If any body comes at 7.30 Manju will be really upset on them. No good at all. A customer ask a 2nd question she will shout at them. She is too much.

It is awesome to have Nalli close by ! We were so happy when they opened in oak tree rd! They have Indian traditional dresses from 10$ to 1000$ . A very good place for a gifting anyone, or to buy stuff if you have any auspicious event happening in NJ or anywhere in US ! Good one overall

Hi. I went to Nalli store today for the first time in Edison . It is a small shop with a good collection of sarees . Not too much options but decent place . I got one raw silk and one soft silk saree . Geeta is the lady who helped me in the store. She was nice and patient with me throughout my shopping but there was the manager Manju who was so rude and was rushing us the whole time!!!! She was so rude and was so impatient . A manager needs to be more polite and courteous with all the customers. She was nice to south Indian Customers and I felt offended since for her we all should be same. End of the day we all are spending money in the store . I would definitely recommend this place for sarees . For men Kurta and kids wear there was nothing much . There is a limited parking for cars . You can park across the street .

I have had great experiences with this store by calling and ordering to be sent to where I need it to be sent. The best collection of silk saris in the state. I visited Maanyawar but the collection they have at Nalli is incomparable to other stores. The quality is top notch with decent pricing. The staff stays patient to understand your needs and is never hesitant to show saaris to you. They also have readymade blouse, banarasi silk, kanchipuram silk and gorget saress. Collection is really nice.A tip, check out their website to view collection if you are traveling from different state. The website has bigger collection than the stores itself and they also ship worldwide. It does feel like they charge premium price because of the brand name. You will definitely find sarees of similar quality at other places.

I couldnt have had a better experience at this store. I came in with my bridesmaids looking for selection and advice and we got it all! Sandra was a dream consultant and was extraordinary helpful, going above and beyond making sure we got what we needed when we needed it, every step of the way. The saris you have to choose from are beautiful and the customer service top notch. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Need more collection of sarees. Especially the banarasi ones. Mostly dominant south indian collection. Loved the mysore silk collection tough.

I came all the way from Richmond, VA to shop for traditional Indian clothing and was very excited to see Nalli. The ladies working were rude and nasty. They seemed annoyed to answer questions and told me I needed to lose weight. I will never step foot in this store again. Save yourself the trouble and walk down the block to Nita Fashions!

Amazing collection of ethnic, handmade sarees at affordable prices. The store manager was very sweet and also helped us navigate to other stores nearby. Must visit in Jersey if you would like to buy ethnic Indian wear in USA.

An 80 year old Manufacturer of Silk Saris. Its other divisions manufacture pillows and other home textiles. Its third and newest division is Jewelry, which is magnificent.I visited Nalli at its grand opening in New Jersey where the Mayor of Iselin came and it was broadcast in India.Neither finer, nor more reputable people.

Wife loved their location and mentioned its more convenient and the shop now is bigger with better customer service

The store is not big but well organized with a very nice collection of sarees (silk, cotton, linen etc), kurtas, dhothies,shirts. We had to buy silk skirt (pattu paavadai) and we got what we wanted. More than anything, the prices were awesome and it makes this store better than other Indian stores around. Smitha and Manju assisted us a lot in our purchase. Value for money is guaranteed.

I have been here a few times and they have always given me such a wonderful experience of shopping !! They are very warm and welcoming and never tired of giving you options and are very patient with their customers.. Manager at store is BODY SHAMING the customers. Totally disappointed for ruining the day for us. How could someone say that you need to lose weight if you are not fitting in our last size.Anyone watching this review needs to avoid this store and let others know as well.

I really second the people with all the negative reviews here, do visit this place if you want to be yelled at by the owner or the workers! We have been shopping in Nalli for more than 25 years, I remember from my grandmom says, all my wedding sarees are from Nalli, so I was really happy to see a Nalli in Edison NJ. All I want to say is, they really need to know how to treat a customer courteously. They are rude and non welcoming. Even though the collection is OK, you do not feel like shopping there because of the customer service. Will never ever step into this shop again!

Don’t be discouraged by previous comments, the customer service was excellent, the best I have ever witnessed in Edison. The store is so clean and organized making it easier to shop in!Store manager Sandra and her coworker Falguni were friendly, easy to work with, and willing to pull every saree from the shelf until we found the perfect one! The prices were reasonable and competitive for the area and they have an amazing selection of South Indian style sarees that are nonexistent on Oak Tree road!Cannot wait to come back again!

Was very excited when Nalli opened shop in Iselin, NJ. Nalli is an integral part of South Indian culture with the rich, exquisite Kancheepuram silk sarees. So last week was the my second visit to Nalli NJ this year. The first experience was bad and second one was no better. As one of the reviewers has mentioned here... If you want to get yelled it then definitely go to this store. Seriously something is wrong with the store helpers there. First you dont feel welcomed at all. On top of it they snap at you. I am sure this review is being read by the ladies there and I want to make sure they read it. I had on a prior occasion written negative review about them on the main Nalli FB page and that was correctly brought to my attention by the Malayali store lady who snapped at me saying Why dont you write on FB if you have more issues just like the way you have written earlier. Instead of feeling bad that a customer did not have a happy experience these people want to make sure it just gets worse. And the Gujrati lady there has a big problem in taking out sarees and displaying them to you. You have to keep pointing one by one from far off. She will not take out couple at a time. Without seeing few sarees how can you decide what you want to buy ? She is probably worried that she will have to keep folding them. Seriously how many customers do you get in a day . I hope the owner and the store helpers read this and make some positive changes.
