The lady who took my call was very helpful and kind. She listened carefully to my problem and immediately set me up for a technicians visit.The man arrived well within the projected window of time. He was a great guy, very personable and more importantly very knowlegeable. He got to the root of my problem and corrected it quickly, and left me with a functioning heatng system.
I spoke with Jeanne today and she took the time to explain the benefits of a budget plan for my situation. She carefully reviewed my account and my previous oil usage and was able to set me up with a plan that fits my needs. She was very thorough and a pleasure to speak with. Horrible, pathetic service. We used them for many, many years without any problem. But last year was a complete wreck. We ran out of oil twice. They refused to refill once because they said the snow was too deep even though we shoveled a path to the tank. Then they delivered a few gallons which quickly ran out. They cancelled the next day’s emergency delivery. It was lucky our pipes didn’t freeze. We called to cancel the service. Several months later, they delivered oil and claim to have never received our call to cancel. Meanwhile, the new oil company looked at our furnace and found it was leaking exhaust (which, in retrospect, we had been smelling) and should have been replaced years ago. So their technicians weren’t so good, either. Now they are demanding a written, snail-mailed request to close the account.. We will not-so-happily do so.

I first had communications with Ms. Brenda at Kosco at the end of May 21.The courtesy, care, and genuine interest in addressing my problem could be heard in her voice and by the thoughtful questions she asked. Basically, I was considering changing this old house from oil to gas. Im back on oil now, in no small part that she and Nick(?)field advisor, made the decision a no-brainer. Theres allot of research to do if one wants to convert, it does take time. Ms. Brenda called several times on her own to see if I was having any luck in researching gas situation, her calls were always welcome and very helpful in what I can ultimately do.That is real customer service and so welcome after the draught of humans and phones following the internet miracle. She took her own time to think about and call a long time customer...that quality is unheard of in todays workforce. I appreciate her help tremendously!Enrique

Really disappointed in Heritage. Used to be reliable but they seem to be getting worse since being purchased by HOP. I’ve always had deliveries within a week and no double talk. I placed an order on 12/16, and was told that because of Christmas I might not get it until Mon 12/28. Understandable. When the delivery didn’t come by midday, I called and was told “yes I see you’re scheduled for today”. No delivery.Called on Tuesday and after a long hold was told that it would definitely be this week before the holiday weekend. No explanation for why it didn’t come on Monday. Today is Thursday and I called again only to be told that they can’t make a delivery until Sunday!!! When I voiced concern about running out of fuel, I was told that if that happens just call for emergency service! I’ve been their customer for many years. You shouldn’t have to beg a company for service. I think Heritage/HOP may have gotten too big and is forgetting the customer service that got them there.
Every time I call and talk to Debbie, I feel like Im reconnecting with an old friend who is supportive, knowledgeable and upbeat even when Im asking redundant and potentially silly questions that she already answered at least once last year... her patience and smile (which is audible, I swear) remain.
We were due for an annual maintenance service and Lionel was absolutely wonderful, this 5 star review is for him! He was very professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable! Our first experience with Kosco Heritage was quite the opposite. It was one of the most horrible experiences we could have had and nonetheless on Christmas Day. It was because of Lionel and the kind / helpful billing personnel that we have changed our minds and decided to continue our oil service with them.
I was taken care of promptly and politely but I have already forgotten the name of the helpful kind woman who answered the phone.

Great company with great service!! Oil burner failed and the temps were low 20s. Called Kosco Heritage and they had a service man over in a short time. Professional, knowledgeable, courteous and kind, he got it running and made sure heat circulated in all pipes. Their office staff is also courteous and helpful, looking into my questions until she had answers for me. I appreciated the time they took with me and would highly recommend them.

Early this morning I woke up and my boiler was not working, no HEAT. I called HOP/KoscoHeritage Energy for service and they came right away. In no time, the serviceman, Pete diagnosed the problem and went to get the part at the warehouse. He was back in a jiffy and went about fixing the boiler. .We just moved in to our oil heated home in July so we have no experience with oil fired furnaces. Kosco has been very responsive to our maintenance needs, having fixed a component a plumber totally misdiagnosed. Chuck is a great technician. They also are very reliable about on time deliveries allaying my fears about running low. I dont know about the future of oil heat but so far I am pleased.

Entryway baseboard bleeder valve leak. Service responded within 4 hrs for the fix. So quick that they were able to do the yearly furnace service versus waiting until the scheduled appointment.

On each occasion she has listened patiently and conversed with me person to person. I am told she is a veteran employee in her role and I am not surprised to hear that. My housekeeper advises me that the annual service call on my heating system was done on time and completed successfully.
We were having a problem with heating zone #2 in our family room downstairs which is always somewhat cooler than the upstairs. The thermostat registered the room temp 15-20 degrees higher than the setting. Mica, your service person examined all the settings, etc on the furnace which had its annual cleaning/checkup in September. He replaced a valve which was stuck open with a new one.This is what was causing the excess heat.Mica was very, very knowledgeable and professional. We have been doing business with KOSCO for over 30 years and have always been satisfied with their programs, service and technicians! Thank you!
