Discovered this place while trying to grab coffee in the early morning while grabbing breakfast food at a nearby location. When I arrived at the cafe, there was multiple people studying or working inside the cafe. It was great that they were actually pretty fast making me and my wifes drinks, as getting coffee anywhere in the morning usually takes a while. The place is not that big, and if you need to use the restroom, I believe they have a shared restroom you can access with a key.The drinks that I ordered was the Honeybee Latte, and the Heartthrob latte. Important note is that they use Oatly! (For some reason oatly I feel is the best milk substitute compared to other oat milk) Prices were real reasonable and both of them were quite nice. I believe if you need the latte to be more stronger possibly you may need to ask if they are able to put an extra espresso shot.The place was not that big, but was modern. Inside I believe the decor, the tables and chairs made it a place you would just want to lounge around or do some studying. Im still personally not planning to do that anytime soon due to the pandemic, but maybe I could consider this in the future. Anyways, will definitely stop by if I am in the area again!

Tried the heartthrob iced latte with a carrot cake slice and it was pretty dang good. Love me some overpriced hipster coffees but this place it worth it and the staff is very nice and personable. Vibes are immaculate

Coffee is good and so are the muffins! Just a little place but they have cosy seats inside and a patio (where the cacti are!). Nice clear menu and happy helpful people, too.

My daughters love this place! I think it is super important to support local businesses. They are the back bone of our community. If we want to keep La Verne from becoming a city like feel we have to keep small businesses booming! Protect La Verne!!

By far this is my FAVORITE coffee shop in the area. Their drinks are so delicious and the coffee is just the right strength. Ive never gotten a bad cup of coffee here. The inside is cute and they have an adorable spot for outdoor dining/drinking. The staff has always been so nice and really friendly. If youre in the area and you need a coffee, this should be your first stop.

What a charming and delightful cafe smack in downtown La Verne. Seating may not not be the most comfy, but service is as good as the eclectic beverage choice not found in your run-of-the-mill coffee houses. The clever blends of aromatic and exotic flavors play well with selected teas and coffee. A splendid go-to place for a quiet atmosphere, a flavored pick-me-up, and even power sources for ones laptop/phone. Did not sample any food / pastry item so cannot comment.

The coffee here is great! I got 2 lattes with almond milk and toast. I didnt think their avocado toast would be great but it was delicious. Their service is awesome too.

This is a shout-out to Tyler. Great customer service. He recommended an iced latte that has cinnamon and dark chocolate incorporated into it. Its called the heartthrob latte. EXCELLENT! WILL BE BACK!

This place is down the street from my house.. and I wish I would have discovered it three years ago when I moved to La Verne. I only order a red eye.. whatever that is..But for real I love this place!!

Best Americano coffee, perfect. My friend and shared a chocolate croissant. Light and flaky. Yummy, quiet sitting area. We could relax and enjoy the morning.

On my way to the dentist but realized Ill be too early. So I stumbled upon this nice, bright & cozy coffee shop. Its not too big, but probably can fit 25 people comfortably, so not really for big groups. Theres a patio area, and its right by another restaurant.I ordered something sweet to drink, I think its a vanilla bean latte iced. Its not too sweet (if youre used to Starbucks) I ordered the 16oz (medium) and spent 4.50 plus a $1 tip.I feel like this would be a nice place to work on. They have limited wall plugs and small tables though.Overall, if youre alone and want some peace and quiet to work on some stuff, its a pretty nice creative Space.

Nice looking cafe in La Verne with lots of public parking nearby. Both indoor (air conditioned) and outdoor seating (patio area with long wooden tables). Inside there are exposed brick walls and decorations that meet the “cactus/southwestern” theme. 6-7 Small 1-2 person tables inside and 1 leather couch.Normal small coffee= $2, lager sizes are 2.50 and $3.Speciality coffees with adding such as white chocolate, honey, Italian soda, ginger beer, etc for 4-5$ each.Nitro coffee, teas, frappes, kombucha and some good items such as paninis and salads available.Free WiFi and toilet.Overall impression: hipster cafe vibe. Place is clean and communal and warm. Frequented by students from La Verne.

Great quality coffee tucked away in a tiny coffee shop located right next to Pappas Artisinal near the La Verne University. It has a super-chill interior thats nice and quiet and perfect for working at one of their tables or their comfy black leather couches. The décor isnt the most exciting or necessarily inviting, but there are plenty of breezy outdoor spots where you can go chill in the area.The coffee itself is pretty amazeballs, given that this isnt an LA hipster-infused coffee shop. They have a plethora of regular espresso drinks, an hefty array of house-made flavored simple syrups, from Hazelnut to Coconut.Their more special specialty drinks are the way to go if youre looking for a lil sumthin extra. If its hot, try the Prickly Pear Italian soda with 2 shots of espresso. Yes, its weird. No, its not gross. These guys make it work to the point where this little gem has a bit of a cult following. Their Lavender Lattes are good, if you happen to like Lavender. But the local favorite seems to be the Iced Agave Mint latte. I know it sounds meh because of the mint, but it actually has a very pleasant sweetness to it with a hint of freshness from the mint, and a smooth, creamy finish from the milk.Pastries are in short supply and not the best quality, but you have a donut shop down the street if you really need more sweetness added to your day. Avocado Toast is also served here, if you want to chance that. But the coffee is definitely the way to go.

This place is great. They have all kinds of milk alternatives. The coffee is always on point, never had an espresso drink that wasn’t pulled correctly or had an inconsistency in flavor. Love the atmosphere and feel, it’s just an overall great place.

What a calm and chill spot in old towne La Verne. Good coffee and tea. Even the pastries are decent. Great atmosphere. Maybe the best study and hang spot in this eclectic little neighborhood.

Cactus Coffee is such a wonderful place. The drinks are so creative (the charcoal mocha is my favorite), and their tea selection is really lovely. The owner takes a lot of pride in making the place welcoming. During COVID times you can sit outside on the patio surrounded by cacti, or you can take your drink to go. Stoked to go back soon.

Their coffee is delicious and it taste better than Starbucks (in my opinion). They not only have a milk replacement, but they also have honey replacement, so basically all the drinks are vegan friendly! I am not vegan but I covered a story on eating vegan locally, and I heard that Cactus might be adding a vegan muffin/bagel to their menu :D!Their lemonade is fresh and their lavender honey latte is not too sweet / bitter! The avocado toast tastes great too!! Everything marked red in the menu is vegan, and the one with blue marking means that they have milk / honey replacement for it. The blacked out one is parfait, this is the only thing in their menu that is not vegan :)They also have free wifi here :D

Great organic coffee!! I love that they have a loyalty program And the staff are very fast and incredibly kind! This place is in a sweet little town and they even had one of my favorite brands of kombucha for sale there. Good prices too👍🏽

I thought it is a mistake so I kept driving and arrived at 4:59 when OPEN sign was on.When we tried to enter, someone told us you are closed and turn off the sign.

Im new to the coffee world but they have really amazing tasting coffee. From the first sip of my medium hot mocha with almond milk, I knew I was bound to become a regular here. Highly recommended!

Such a great little spot! I love stopping in between appointments or enjoying their outdoor seating and reading the paper. They have great options and always have incredible customer service. My favorite is the Lavendar Latte! So so good! ***Life hack...you can catch happy hour there and enjoy an IPA w/ a friend! Come on!!!*** Such a gem!!!! Its a must if youre in the Downtown area!

Cactus is a cool espresso joint. The pizza next door is terrible. No joke really bad. Cool chairs. Whatever with the rest. I had a 25.00 lunch and felt ripped off. But gave it another.chance and was ripped off. Waitress was awesome food sucked.
