Updating my review, because of the manager here:I ordered curbside pickup because I was in a hurry, got certain coupons by shopping online and spending a certain amount, everything I ordered had multiple in stock (which I purposely checked about and picked products based on that to cover myself), before and upon arriving I did everything the app said to do for curbside pickup, even turning my location on for the app so that as soon as I get there, they know and can bring it out when they are available, unfortunately I sat outside for almost 20 minutes before I had enough! I called, to which the manager said she didnt receive any notifications that I was there. Then had nothing but trouble after that, she handed me my bag and left which had one wrong ribbon in it, I called back and asked if she could get the right one for me and she rudely told me thats what I ordered although the picture and description on my receipt on the app showed a whole different brand of ribbon, she told me I would have to get out to do an exchange, after trying to reason with her over and over, I realized she wasnt going to help fix the issue, I parked and got out. As I got out I realized I didnt even have all of my items, so I asked her about my cutting board that was missing, she said they were out, I explained I picked one that said it had several in stock to which she said someone could have bought one in the store or some could have been damaged, so this meant my order amount would now be messed up because my coupons wouldnt count, so I needed to exchange the ribbon and buy a different cutting board.. basically spend more money so even though she knew what I wanted to do she argued with me relentlessly because I was asking for some kind of extra coupon or understanding on her part enough to realize that not having it in stock was not my fault and messed up my entire savings if she could discount one of my items or something to rectify the issues. She didnt add anything extra only allowed the coupons that were available in the store which didnt help much and saved me about 7 or 8 dollars I had an order that had savings of about 30 something dollars before that. This manager would not take responsibility for anything and blamed me for everything. Im a business owner myself and pride myself on customer service and making things right, and doing the best that I can possibly do. To blame everyone else (ie. Customers, App, Staff members etc.) isnt going to help your business grow. Customers appreciate humbleness and understanding. Love the workers and the selection. The sales and coupons are nice too. Just this trip. I saved over 150 dollars. Hubby saved 220 dollars. He starting a new hobby and today was a good day to go.

I will never step foot in or buy from Joann fabrics ever again. I was denied service today for not wearing a mask, due to a medical. I was sought out and asked if I had a mask, I explained no, due to medical and was told I would not be checked out. I asked if I was being denied service, due to a medical condition, and she said she was just telling me their policy. I stated if I was being denied service due to a medical, that it is discrimination. She told me it wasnt discrimination but she would not check me out. I told her I have no problem leaving and going to Hobby Lobby or Michaels instead. I was not offered any solution and was just told that I would not be checked out. I called and spoke to the manager and was told I should have been offered curbside pickup. I was not. I have never been denied service at a business before and I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. I will never be back and will not even order online with them ever again.

Annoying face mask idiots. They kept telling me I needed a mask even though they are a public business open for commerce and a Governor’s mandate is not a law. Won’t be back for a long time. Even my parents when I was a teenager didn’t bug me this much.
Went in for fall fabric to make pillow covers for living area and bedrooms in my home and found nothing I liked. I did get my pillow forms and many Christmas decorations. My sister was looking for Raggedy Ann costume for her one year old grand daughter. She ended up having to buy one for a Raggedy Ann baby doll and will try to configure to fit the baby. They had a lot of sale items but I found they were very overpriced to begin with. Had some great items just too pricey. Loved looking around though!

This place is absolutely great. I practically live at the Lafayette location. Everyone working there has been super helpful and so sweet. For people upset about staff being rude, Ive never had that experience. They can get REAL busy but if you need help they will definitely help you when its your turn. They cant push everyone else out the way to be your own personal shopper but they will actually walk along side, help and answer questions when theyve helped everyone that was there before you. They are knowledgeable and more than happy to give advice and suggestions. They also have an app that will show you what is in stock at different locations.
It was hot inside the store. Not a pleasant shopping trip.

Clean and somewhat organized with a big selection. They lost a star because I couldnt get any help trying to locate an item. Perhaps if the website specified the aisle to look for a specific craft item, Joanns would get more stars.
LOVE how big of a selection they have for crafts, fabrics, stickers, threads, etc. The only thing I didnt care for was the floral selection.. only 1 aisle to choose from. Staff were very nice & the hours are great for last minute crafts or needs for projects (Im sure as a parent some of us can relate to our kids waiting last minute to tell us about that project due the next day after eating supper on a week night) 😂 Will always be a returning customer!

This has to be the rudest people in the world. The lady yelled at us, my husband and I were shocked at her attitude. We did nothing wrong, then she snapped at us again . There was no need to yell, and the manager acted Like it was her normal behavior. She was not helpful either. This has to be the worst customer service I have Ever experienced. Something needs to done at this store. She was lucky there were children around or I would have gave her a piece of my mind about her absurd behavior. I would not even want my worst enemy to shop there.
The layout is cohesive; similar crafts are next to each other. Everything is always fully stocked. Ive never had the problem of not being able to find something unless the item Im looking for is very specific and they dont carry it. Also, the employees are always so friendly. (They always have coupons online too, I even downloaded their app)
I used to LOVE making a 30 minute drive (1 way) to the JoAnns store thats closest to me, but now I pass it up and go to other craft stores. In the past, I enjoyed the customer service that I received from the employees. I also enjoyed being able to use multiple coupons in the same transaction and save $$$, lots of it too! Now, Im lucky if 1 coupon is applicable to my transaction.I didnt mind the minimal coupon usage because I loved the customer service that I received. The employees seemed like they enjoyed their jobs and took pride in the work they did. Something changed because now all of the employees I come across are NOT friendly or helpful in the slightest bit. I know its not ALL of their employees that are like this.Will I stop shopping here completely? NO, but I will shop around at other craft stores first.

I only gave it a 1 because I cant give it zero. Horrible shopping experience. I went to buy a Christmas present, and could not find what I wanted. I walked the store looking for helpand could not find anyone other than the lien cashier who had a line of 8people and 2 girls in fabric cutting . One was cutting fabric, the other was laying on the counter. I asked my question to the girl doing nothing,and got a look that told me I was disturbing her. The other girl said she had not seen the item I was looking for, but pointed to 2 different directions in the store where it might be. She could care less about me finding what I was looking for. No manager, no supervisor, the store is a mess.

Purchased an item for curbside pickup at the Lafayette location during COVID. I didn’t receive confirmation for the item being ready. Had to call to see if item was ready for pickup. They put me on hold to find my order and said yes it been ready. Not so friendly over the phone either. So I attempted to place another order on different day for an item that was in stock at the time of purchase. Still during COVID. I received confirmation that the order was accepted but again I didn’t receive a confirmation that the order was ready. Waited and waited to see how many days it would take. Still nothing. Finally I called but now it’s out of stock and didn’t know when the item would be available. So order was canceled. The customer service is horrible and really needs some work.

While the employees may not know my name, they recognize me and greet me with a smile. Even if they dont care about connecting over sewing/quilting... They fake it well enough to make me feel welcome!Always a pleasant experience, especially when most cashiers help navigate the best coupon procedures.
Joanns is an ok store. They really dont have a wide variety of yarn there. Its mostly all Red Heart brand yarn. Its a good place to go if you JUST need Red Heart brand of yarn.
Online ordering is backed up fabric showing in stock only to have a canceled order and an authorization on my account. Im not happy...it didnt take anytime to place the hold but yet they still holding my funds. I wont be ordering again.
I presented to check out and had pulled up the online store which promoted coupon savings. I asked the cashier for assistance in how does the coupon savings work in store and she rudely dismissed me, stating you have to download the app. I had a $60 king size batting, and $70 in fabric to purchase. I waited for a friend who was also shopping and when at the register asked the cashier her name. She gave me her name and announced she was the manager, did I need help with anything. I informed her I was going to complain about her discourtesy and lack of customer service skills. She again was very discourteous and argumentative and even tried to enlist other customers in retaliatory fashion towards my complaint of her being rude. I stated all customers should be treated with respect, helpfulness and being a manager does not give one the right to be rude to customers! I had asked for her assistance and she was dismissive and rude, I left the items and won’t return to be disrespected and tongue lashed!

Meh. Its joanns customer service agents are amazing always there if we need help. Theres always a long line to checkout but thats understandable since corporate is stingy on hrs, BUT the cashiers always are fast and try their hardest. Never had any issues with the look of this store or how its run at all. Only complaint I have is that its ALWAYS hot as can be in there... and the poor cashiers Ive seen getting screamed at by old women who cant read price tags or know how to use technology, I always feel bad for the workers.

Lots to choose from but the customer service dept has lots to be desired. Also the company is more worried about the almighty $ than Customer Service. If you open a package, even after just paying for it, it is NOT returnable. Some things you cannot tell if it is the right product. I called corporate and complained. The 1st question I was asked, How are we supposed to resell it!?? I then went on explaining how retail works and about their losses. I told her had there been another store with my product and customer service, I would have paid the higher price. Thank You Jesus, it was what I needed.
