Sugi is a very underrated store indeed. Their trinkets are truly exquisite, and the bedding is fine. I couldn’t help but indulge in the raw silk fabric, slowly dipping my face into it as we became one. I spent what seemed like an eternity viewing the gifts, but it went by so fast. Even after I left the store, there seems to be a supernatural force pulling me towards Sugi, yearning to fill my nostrils with the intense smells of high quality Sugi incense. Absolutely a must visit tourist destination in Lafayette. The only reason not to visit Sugi is fear of addiction. XoXo
I miss you Sandy, please come back. After the divorce, things havent been the same. I havent been able to take care of Jimmy by my self. Even if you decide not to come back, please let jimmy visit you. I want him to have a proper mom. Why Sandy? I cry at night wanting you, saying in my head why Sandy? What did I ever do?! I beg you, I need you. Im in debt and Im about to get kicked out of my apartment. SANDY WHY!?!?!?
I don’t know who left the one star review, this place is splendiferous. I love this shop, it is very humble, wholesome and makes me feel at home. Sugi, the shop that is not known very well, it is an amazing shop to go to. If you don’t go to Sugi then I don’t know what you are doing with your life, you should definitely visit this shop. XD
This is a very pleasant shop, I was surprised on how delightful it was. they sell nice things, and the shop owner is very kind. :)
I LOVE SUGI! So cozy! I love the cool artifacts and Asian stuff. Ching chong. Go visit the stanley middle school sandpit for a silly Sugi surprise!
Ive been shopping at Sugi for years now, and have noticed a consistent theme of customer satisfaction. I can walk in, partake some nourishing, Asian commerce, and walk out. Its so simple! Sugi cuts out the middle man you deal with at most fine bedding and gift establishments. And when compared to other retailers, Sugis products knock theirs out of the park. They offer a wide spectrum of oriental products, ranging from spectacular figurines, to exquisite decoritive fountains, to superb silk comforters. The second you walk into this emporium of culture, you will be absorbed in the fine fleece duvets, and embraced by Buddha himself. Sugi practically has me on my hands and knees begging the owners to let me stay after closing. I never want to leave! I cant recommenced Sugi enough to anyone who wants to see the fine wonders of China. Bazinga!
When I was a boy, my father took me into Sugi. When we walked in he told me Son, when you grow older, you will start to appreciate the smaller things in life. That means treating yourself to the 50% cast iron woks for sale at Sugi FIne Bedding and Gifts. Because life is too short to work in a cubicle all day, like a pawn in the game of life. So you need to go out there, and spend more money at Sugis! I recently found out that my father passed away, and when returning to Sugis Fine Bedding and Gifts, I couldnt help but remember the times I spent with him, and how much we loved to spoil ourselves in the vast ocean of Asian influenced antiques and bedding. Its these comforting little mom and pop shops that really do make me appreciate the smaller things in life. Thank you Sugis.
Very nice experience, lots of fun trinkets and smells. Sugi
