I brought my 99 year old wheelchair-bound mother for an eye exam this afternoon and we were met with incredible kindness from Dr. Grzesiak and his assistant, Catalina. They both went above and beyond to make her comfortable. Catalina was endlessly patient and accommodating as she attempted to obtain accurate images of my moms eyes as she was unable to raise herself into the machines that well. Dr.Grzesiak conducted her eye exam literally on his knees to facilitate her remaining in her wheelchair. His good nature and kindness helped to make what could have been a challenging visit so much more pleasant. He explained his findings very simply and gave her lots of practical tips to make her sight better.I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for excellent eye care by caring individuals.

Wow! Great experience, friendly, professional and so fast! I was able to obtain a same day appointment and they made it effortless! I appreciate how thoughtful and caring the staff were as well as Dr. Berliner. I wold definitely recommend this office!!!

My experience was absolutely incredible. I walked in with such poor vision and within an hour I walked out seeing perfectly! Dr. Berliner, Dr. Fried and Lora were amazing, they spent so much time making sure I was comfortable and and gave me the gift of perfect eyesight. I needed to get an exam for my 82 year old dad for prism glasses. From the moment I called, everyone was so accommodating. They squeezed me in to a very busy day and were so gracious and kind. We were seen within 30 minutes by Dr. Fried who was pleasant, patient, funny, thorough and just a joy! He explained his exam and findings in a way my dad could understand, answered all questions and did not rush us. The caring he has for his patients was palpable. No question we will be back for exams with Dr. Fried!!!

This office is very professional and efficient. I have seen over three different Doctors and this office and Dr Schnur is the doctor to fit me properly for my contact lens. It has been years since I have been able to see so clearly and it is due to this office and the work they do. It is refreshing to go to an office that actually cares and takes the time to get the job done right the first time. I wish I found Dr. Mark Schnur years ago before having to visit so many other offices. The office staff is always friendly and just as efficient. I also find it great that they take the extra step to make their patients feel safe with their extra sanitary efforts amid these pandemic times. I dont often give 5 stars but this office earned them. I have referred this office and others have made appointments to go and get an exam there. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. .

I happened to be getting my nose pads replaced by LensCrafters, attached to the building. I decided to check if the doctors had an opening for an appointment, since its been a while since I had my eyes checked. They had no problem seeing me within 15 minutes. My prescription had changed slightly. Im glad I stopped in. Got my eyeglasses updated. Now Im good for another few years. Friendly and knowledgeable.

I felt as though I had entrusted my eyes to the best possible custodians. Our family has been coming here for years and we will continue to do so.

Dr. Berliner is helpful and thorough. Initially gave 5 stars. After a couple follow ups, I have changed their rating. The wait for each appointment is not worth it. Either they perpetually run behind or they double book appointment slots. Either way, you will wait forever. They will even go so far as to interrupt your appointment to leave and go deal with something else. If you value your time, find another doctor because they certainly dont value your time or honor appointment times.

Dr. Berliner is a great eye care provider. I moved from Toronto to NY and one of my priorities was to find a good and caring eye doctor in whom I could trust. I found that and more in Dr. Berliner and his equally competent and caring staff. He is thourough and professional and at the same time he cares about the overall patient experience. He and his staff take the time to explain details about my eyes health and the options moving forward. He is always developing himself to keep abreast of the latest clinical and technological developments so that he can bring them back to his clinic here in Long Island. He showed me a fascinating topographic map of my cornea and for the first time I could see a visual representation of my astigmatism. We need more clinical providers who are as professional, competent, detail oriented and caring as Dr. Berliner and his staff

I have never written an online review of ANYTHING before, but after todays office visit, I felt I needed to share my experience: Dr. Berliner is absolutely fantastic! I have worn Rigid Gas Permeable contact lenses for almost 40 years (since I was 13) and over the last 10 years have had to wear reading glasses on top for reading as well as mid-range computer work and reading keyboard music. Per Dr. Berliners recommendation and after only one appointment and one fitting, I put in my new multi-focal RGPs and started crying for joy! I am able to see everything so crisply at every range! And such a comfortable fit on the first try!I have seen many optometrists through the years and all over the country...Southeast to Northwest and throughout the Midwest. I have NEVER had such great fitting contacts on the initial pair. Dr. Berliner uses state-of-the-art equipment to map out the precise shape of the eye and then confers with the laboratory to get the perfect fit the first time. I am so impressed!!! His wonderful support staff is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly, and even though I just moved into the area, they made me feel like Ive been coming there for years. Thank you all so very much!! Youve opened up a whole new world of perfect vision for me!!

Visit was great start to finish. Lara was very thorough. She took her time explaining everything. When I did not receive a positive result in a portion of the exam she suggested I retake it and of course got a positive result. Dr. Grzesiak was great as well. He was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. I had a persistent issue with my vision for a couple of years. I explained the issue and he immediately had the solution that at least 2 other doctors had overlooked. Start to finish received excellent service. I will be bringing my son there for his next exam and higly recommend them.

I was referred to this office for testing and possible treatment regarding an injury which has affected my sight amongst other things . The entire staff has been so kind, caring and professional ....as I was to learn was a reflection of Dr. Berliner himself ! He takes the time to explain the examination, the results and his plan of action, in a very confident reassuring way ! I say he not only treats what u can see, but what u cant, as his attention to detail, personable demeanor, helps to put your mind at ease, all while answering any and all questions you may have in a profesional, calm manner.! When it comes to eye care the doctors inside of Lenscrafters are the best! No matter which doctor is on staff, they treat you with the utmost care and concern. I have found the doctors to be extremely knowledgeable during an exam and extremely helpful in making eyeglass decisions. A good friend recently had a severe eye problem and went to the office and was treated with such care and professionalism. She is certain that her vision was saved due to the wonderful treatment and care she received. My son. who had problems with contacts in the past is now problem free and for the first time enjoying his contact lenses thanks to the recommendations and education from the doctors and the highly professional staff. I would highly recommend the doctors office no matter what your eye care needs are!

My visit with Dr.Robert Grzesiak and his staff could not have been a better experience. Starting with the pre exam testing done by Lora who was thorough and explained in detail all procedures. This office has walked me through the process of obtaining the appropriate contact lenses to correct my vision. Ive been going to Dr. Berliners office for almost 30 years. Dr. Schnur is my doctor and he has been providing excellent service in all the years Ive been seeing him for my eye care. I am able to ask questions and he explains everything. I started bringing my wife to Dr. Schnur after I got married and she is now a regular patient of Dr. Schnur. Ive used both the Huntington and Lake Grove offices and they both provide the same attentive care to patients. Dr. Berliner has always kept both offices up to date with the latest in technologies. One year I had Dr. Berliner and it was when they first introduce the CLARIFYE system. It was great watching Dr. Berliner use the system and explain the entire system in great detail to me. He was very excited about how accurate the system was at getting a prescription for the patient. I enjoyed that visit since I like learning new technologies. I always enjoy my annual eye exams because of the staff. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schnur and Dr. Berliner as great providers of eye care.

Im an RN, and very fussy about my health care, so when I say this group of ophthalmologists are the most thorough, professional and helpful eye care specialists, I mean they are the BEST.Also conveniently located next to Lenscrafters. Fully handicapped accessible and plenty of parking.

I have worn glasses for about 40 years and tried contacts multiple times. I found this office and these doctors because I wanted to explore alternate options. I have been seeing Dr. Schnur for just under a year for CRT lenses and couldnt be happier. I am very happy to be free from glasses and daytime contacts. Dr. Schnur is extremely knowledgeable and professional and also very kind, caring and patient. I would recommend this office to all!

I took my three year old son to get his eyes checked since I hadnt taken him for an examination in a while (dont call the police on me). The Doctor was very patient with my son as he isnt the most still child but they were able to get a good look at his eyes. Dr. Berliner was great with my son and I definitely felt like I was in good hands. I was concerned about how my son playing with my ipad would impact his vision and the doctor went over with me some precautions to take and ways to keep his eyes in good health instead of staring at a screen. Dr. Berliner is my doctor of choice for my family and will definitely go back in 6 months for a follow up on my son and myself!

OK this place did my eye exam which was good except I declined this new procedure of photographing the eye which cost me $40 out of pocket since my insurance doesnt cover it. Then I tried a different pair of contacts this time they gave me one pair to try. I ordered contacts while I was there but two weeks later nothing so I called to check on order and was told you didnt come in to let us know contacts were OK so we havent placed order yet. I already paid for a 6 month order which was $274. So now Im waiting for my contacts and not even Im sorry for the confusion, I was told I should of called sooner. This place is horrible!

Doctor Jack was the most Pleasant reassuring and positive he made me feel so comfortable he told me everything that he was doing so I wasn’t afraid because I have anxiety I couldn’t thank him enough I had a floater in Mayeye thinking it was something terrible he ease my mind and I felt great afterwards the receptionist Laura what is terrific she couldn’t be any nice time friendly compassionate I will highly recommend that place was wonderful I totally appreciate all that they did for me

Dr. Fried was so wonderful, kind, and patient with me and my daughter. The service was so outstanding that I ensured to bring my father back for the same treatment and recommended him to others.

Used to be a decent optical place, but their latest hire, Dr. Jack Fried is a complete disappointment. He makes false promises, misleads you, shows zero interest in his work, and is not open to discussing your concerns. This place settling for mediocre staff is a big red alarm to avoid at all costs. Take your hard earned money elsewhere.

Dr Grzesiak is the best optometrist out there! If you struggle with getting “the right prescription” like I do, he’s the doctor for you! I have been going to him for close to 20 years & find him to be the most patient, caring doctor who really cares about getting his patient’s vision to be not just satisfactory but exemplary. In my opinion, there is no other optometrist out there that matches his outstanding integrity. Don’t hesitate in giving your eyes the care they deserve! See Dr. Grzsiak!

I Christopher Spence has been a Keratoconus patient of Dr. Brian Berliner, for a little over 10 years. Since then I have know Brian Berliner to be the kind of doctor who works with his patient closely, in developing a great patient doctor relationship. I have never ever had a negative experience with him. I would highly recommend any Keratoconus patient to come and see for yourself how great this doctor is. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

Dr. Berliner Has gone above and beyond to make my vision as good as it can be. My former unamed doctor informed me of several Eye conditions, then left the offfice because he had other patients, keep in mind I had been seeing him for 10 years. Hopefully you can understand, i was scared/nervous. It wasnt particularly good news, Glaucoma supect, kerataconus etc., my eyes are shot.Time to find a new doctor. Panic set in and I visited Dr Berliner and his staff, bombarding them with questions, trying to make sure I was proactive about the situation.Dr Berliner has gone above and beyond, countless visits, (15) plus really taking the time to make my vision as good as it can be. He constantly has said dont worry about appoinments ill make the time, and oh by the way I was hoping youd come in I am excited to see if we can adjust this. What doctor does that???He actually cares about his patients, I dont know why I went anywhere else. Glad to say as a GP lens wearer this doctor is ten stars, I found someone who will give it to me straight and isnt in it for the money. Thanks Dr B for all your help.

Where do I even begin? In all honesty, the entire practice in Lake Grove is outstanding. Dr. Berliner is very professional and exceptionally thorough. I was told my a more specialized keratoconus specialist that I needed scleral contacts before he would consider more extreme procedures (e.x. corneal transplants) - the mark of a great doctor. He referred me to Dr. Berliner, and I am so glad that he did. Tara was wonderfully helpful (shes the best, really!) in conducting the first part of the exam and explaining how the scleral contacts work and what to expect with them.Dr. Berliner explained that since scleral contacts are relatively new, and require additional training, there are very few optometrists who deal with them. He then went on to describe why he does, and his explanation was quite simple and straight forward - he loves what he does, and it shows. Being able to correct someones vision and give them the literal gift of seeing the world in a completely new and clear way is most definitely one of the most rewarding prospects I could ever hope for. Ive never been happier to have such a caring and dedicated doctor (he recently told me that he is even going to another scleral conference on Friday, 7/28/17 so that he can learn as much as he can about them to be a better provider).I will admit that Ive been very resistant to contact lenses - glasses always seemed much easier, and I was very squeamish about putting anything near my eyes - let alone on them, but through constant practice with Tara, Ive overcome my discomfort and fears, and am able to put them in myself, usually within 15 minutes for my right eye, and on the first or second try with my left. Everything I needed was included with the ultimate price of the lenses: 3 boxes of cleaning solution (each with a new lens case), 2 bottles of eye drops, 93-day supply of sterile saline solution to fill the lenses; 2 scleral plungers (one for insertion, one for removal), and the lenses themselves. The bottom line was ~$2,500, since my insurance does not cover it; but since my condition is degenerative; and due to the specialists demands, I figured I didnt have much to lose.Just putting on the practice lens restored about 80% of my vision, and the additional prescription restores my sight to 20/20. I just got them last Thursday, and am, as such, still having some difficulty adjusting to them (they also seem to haze over on me more frequently than is normal), but Im confident that once we can fine tune what I need to do, and how to fix the hazing, I will be able to see incredibly clearly. I was wonderfully excited about the lenses when they were first ordered, and I remain excited to finally have a solution that will work above and beyond my usual glasses without necessitating invasive surgery.I highly recommend Dr. Berliner and his associates. They simply are the best!

My husband went to LensCrafters last year and raved about the exam and how extensive it was. He really liked Dr. Berliner. Very down to earth and easy to talk to. So when it came time for my eye exam I made my appoint with Lenscrafters. Although I didnt see Dr. Berliner, Dr. Horowitz was just as nice and down to earth. I would highly recommend Lenscrafters and Dr. Berliners office. Picking out my frames was easy. The technician was helpful and honest about what frames fit my face. I highly recommend Lenscrafters.

I have dealt with many Eyecare professionals over the course of the last 20 years and never have i experinced the level of professionalisim and courtesy that i did at the Lake Grove Office. The entire staff made me feel comfortable and Dr Berliner is clrealy passionate about his work and the safety and well being of his patients.I would recommend Dr Berliner to anyone looking for quality eyecare

Once you have been to this office no other eye exam will seem to be as though.I myself work in a dental office so I know a thing about giving your patients just that much more because you care.!
