They were very helpful and I found what I was looking for. Its nice to shop at a store where they know their products. Hard to find these days
Brought my poor old tired mountain biking for an adjustment. These guys inspected my bike thoroughly and found that it needed fresh parts. I let him have at it, and when I got it back oh my gosh it looked and felt like I do bike! Got it on the trail same day and it performed flawlessly!
This is a good group of mechanics and staff. Theyve done lots of extras over the years for me, often without charge. A derailleur adjustment, or an adjustment to the head piece. Minor adjustments or flat repairs, for example, are usually done on the spot. Highly recommend.
My husband and I bought Trek Verve3 electric bikes from Trek Lake Oswego spring of 2021 and we absolutely love the bikes. I later punctured a tire ... brought the bike into the shop and they replaced the tube and had me on my way within a half hour. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and efficient.
The customer service was top notch! I walked in not really sure what I wanted or needed. After some non aggressive or pushy conversation, I found one I was really happy with! It’s been a few months since, and I’m still really happy!
Great team, extremely knowledgeable, great hospitality. My favorite bike shop in Lake O!
They are always willing to go above and beyond with excellent customer service, especially Sam in sales and Brandon in service!
Excellent bicycle repair service. Very attentive to what type of service was needed. Exceeded my expectations!!!
Great bike, but horrible horrible costomer service. I found a bike at their shop and had them put a 24 hour hold on it so I could pick it up the next day. It was currently in the box, but they said that they would build it up for me so that I could easily pick it up in the morning. The shop was an hour away from me, in Lake Oswego. My fiancé was meeting me at the store after working a graveyard shift and was exhausted. When I arrived and talked to an employee, they said that they didnt know anything about me having a bike on hold and said he would have to look into it. I explained that I wanted to buy it, but did want to give it a test ride really fast to make sure the fit was right. After looking into it, he said that it was still in the box and that I could go grab coffee or something and he would have it set up and ready to go in 20 minutes. We walked around the town for 25-30 minutes and when I came back in I asked if it was ready. The employee seemed to know nothing about it and when he asked around, he said that they hadnt even started to set it up. He said that they could call me when it was finished. I explained that the other employee had said to wait 20 minutes and it would be ready. He explained that they were very busy with other customers that they hadnt had time to set up the bike for me to test. I gave my number and he said they would call me when it was complete. After waiting an 1.5 hours from initially arriving, I just decided to go in and purchase it, so that step would be completed. I decided I didnt have time to test ride it anymore, as my fiancé was so tired and was gonna have to drive an hour home, being very sleepy. When I went in, the employee responded with, oh good, your here. The bike is over there and built. I dont know how long it was sitting over there and ready to go, but no one called me. I told him that I just wanted to buy it and didnt have time to test ride it anymore, so he walked me through purchasing it. My overall feel is that for some reason they didnt give me the time of day. I felt the whole time as though they didnt prioritize my time and were focused only on other customers, when I arrived first and called in advance to put the bike on hold. I was really excited to purchase a Trek bike but was very disappointed in the way I was treated at this store location.
First time visiting after the original bike gallery was acquired by Trek. Brought my bike in for a level 1 service package, the staffs were super friendly and welcoming, definitely would recommend it for bike tuneups or repairs!
This is the nicest bike shop I have ever dealt with. The bike techs are great. I dont own a Trek but they always take very good care of my bikes and give me good advise. I can go in and ask as many questions as I want. I have never felt pressured to buy anything.
Mechanic went above and beyond to fix my bike. Would go back and recommend to anyone.
Great staff and lived up to their 24 hour guarantee.
It is a great place to buy your bike they give you a great service and they are very friendly they do not speak Spanish but they do their best to assist you
There is a team at the TREK bike store that is helpful in quickly finding the products that one needs to ride a bicycle.
Thank you to the Trek Bicycle lake Oswego Team, and special thanks to the amazing Rian Lasley. We rode the IRONMAN 703 Washington. It was rainy, slippery and many of the riders experienced mechanical issues. Without these amazing SAG support group, our ride would not have been as amazing and flawless. Thank you so much and we appreciate the first class service and attention.
We have been customers of the Lake Oswego Bike Gallery for probably 30 years. We always go back because their customer service is excellent. They remember us and any issues we have had with our bikes. They do not find and charge for unnecessary repairs.
I commute about 20 miles round trip, and these guys keep my bike running smoothly through the winter when the going get tough.
I was super happy with the gentleman that called me saying I was the 1st person to reserve The Marlin 5 for my husband and he held it for me. He said it would be ready by 12 noon so I showed up at 12 noon and it wasnt even built yet. I was told it would be at least another hour before it was done, I was irritated because I did drive from Vancouver to Lake Oswego. The guy was pretty rude to me. I took my son with me cause I cant lift things very well and he couldnt even come in with me cause they were at capacity due to COVID-19 but instead of saying could you wait until someone comes out they said I could come in but didnt even acknowledge my son and left him standing outside, so we left and went to grab some lunch and came back. The lady who helped me was rude and treated me like I wasnt really worth her time cause I wasnt from Lake Oswego and didnt look rich ( thats how she made me feel) I bought my husbands bike and she didnt register it in his name or really do anything like Brian at the Westmoreland store did when my husband bought my bike, last week. I will never return to Lake Oswego again, I felt like I was a waste of their time. The only person that was nice to me was the guy (whos name I didnt get) who called me saying hed hold the bike for me. I am very grateful for being able to find the bike my husband wanted. I will definitely find another place to take my husbands bike to be serviced when it needs it.
Great experience purchase a bike for my daughter for college great price and excellent value for a around town bike
They did a great job servicing my mountain bike and caught an issue with the rim tape and replaced it before it caused any problems. The bike also looked brand new after they were done.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. Im so excited to start biking again and really appreciate their help in getting my bike tuned up.
I am new to cycling and had a lot of questions. Dave McGrath was a great resource and helped me to better understand some of the essentials needed to begin cycling. I also had a flat tire and they repaired that, and adjusted my rear brakes on the spot so I could still get out for a ride. Really helpful staff and very friendly vibe in this shop.
Besides having to do everything outside on a cold rainy day, my experience recently was 100% positive. Had a shifter go out on a bike that had been sitting for awhile. Basic tuneup needed. Turn around was 3 days, bike rides and performs like new. My final cost was $30 less then the estimated cost. Completely satisfied and would have paid the estimated price w no question. Feel they are very very honest and have a customer for life for bike repairs.
Took my son to pick out a bicycle for his birthday. We were not allowed to enter the store (due to Covid protocols). Salesman told us they had limited inventory and his only suggestion was to look online. When I ask about the other bike store in Lake Oswego, he stated I have no idea what they carry, Ive never even been there.I purchased my bicycle at this store in 2018 as well as helmets for my son & I and had a good experience (which is why I returned). This time, it felt like they simply didnt want to bring bikes outside for my son to look at.I purchased him a Bianchi Cortina at Lakeside Bicycles immediately after. He is very happy & excited with his new bike.
They did a great job of getting us the bike we wanted. They worked to move our order for an unbuilt bike at one location to an already built bike at the L.O. location. The staff at the L.O. location were great and they are being extra careful during the pandemic, which I appreciate. I could not have been happier with the service we received.
Great service, cool bikes
Effortless purchase of a new helmet. Thank you 😊
There was a huge lack of attention and explanation which was unfortunate because I am a new bike owner. They told me it would be a 20 minute wait to get the job done that I had paid for and it ended up being 40 minutes. There was no apology and the only reason they brought my bike out was because I asked about it. The employees there are definitely more interested in quantity than quality. As a young customer I’m used to getting treated like my service matters less and that was one hundred percent on display here.
Very helpful both on the phone and in person.Reasonable price and work done quickly.
Loved my experience buying a bike here! Staff listened and was interested in the type of riding I wanted to do. They fitted me to the PERFECT bike for ME. I LOVE it. 🚵❣️😊Super clean shop. They also tuned up my other bike and did a fantastic job. Great communication.
Dave went above and beyond to help me pre-order a bike due to the many bikes not being available due to COVID. They had excellent service and I’ll definitely be back again.
Since when do 1 year olds require a face mask ? Horrible service
My bike was repaired sooner than promised. Everyone was very helpful and they know what they are talking about. Would highly recommend and go back.
Professional team that recently serviced my bike. Service was completed a week before expected time frame, and within the cost estimate. Quick and easy process to make sure my bike is in top shape!
Excellent service! Very knowledgeable! Cant wait to start riding. They are even delivering our new bikes!
I brought my wifes Cannondale in for service. It had been in storage for 20 years, so needed quite a bit of work. The shop gave me an estimate to restore it. The costs were mostly parts. They also showed me what they had to offer as comparable replacement bike if I wanted to go that route instead. I decided to go with the restoration. When I told Johnathan that I was doing this for Mothers Day (5 days away), he said he would personally make sure it was ready in time.Johnathan called me the next afternoon to tell me the restoration was complete and within $25 of the estimate, which was due to an additional component that needed replacing. Saved all the old parts for me - totally transparent. The bike looks like new and rids better than new! We couldnt be happier. Well definitely be back for our future cycling needs!
Great service
This review is a bit past due, but still wanted to get it out there. Earlier this year I was having an issue with what I thought was my bottom bracket. Took it to Bike Gallery and explained the problem. The guy I talked to told me it was a tough fix but gave me the costs if I wanted them to give it a shot...I said to give it a try. When I got the bike back, the problem was still there. I figured that the problem was just something Id live with. Then I got the BGs internal customer survey. I gave them an average rating with my complaint that it took them a long time to not solve the problem, but otherwise felt they had been honest with me. Making a tediously long story short, the manager called me, said to bring the bike back in and theyd dig deeper. They ultimately got it fixed and I couldnt be happier. The manager seemed genuinely concerned that they hadnt solved the issue the first time around and really wanted to make it right. So...5 stars.
Great service friendly staff I would highly recommend them
Extremely helpful!! I was very happy and really impressed with the customer service I received. Only negative thing I could say is that they tried to talk me into a $340 (on sale) bike service that I didnt really need. But no fault to them, I get it, they need to make money too! I will definitely go back for parts, accessories or with any questions I may have, great guys.
Despite the pandemic, the Bike Gallery team were SO HELPFUL, kind, and not pushy what so ever. I felt like I could ask the team questions, and they were very knowledgeable. I bought my first Trek bike from the bike gallery, and will be coming back for my second, third, etc.
The second I walked in I was greeted with a friendly welcome and I had every question answered in a professional and kind manner. The salesperson I worked with was knowledgeable and was not aggressive in anyway. I really appreciated the customer service and will more than recommend this location to friends and family for future purchases! Great job Lake Oswego bike gallery !!
Heard you was cool dudes. Actually. Always liked your spot and your attempt to help everyone. Biggest thing we all lack is empathy. Lets practice empathy starting with me.
We were able to shop for a new bike for our 6 year old even with the social distancing precautions. Everyone was knowledgeable and the shopping experience was great!
Great experience and service. Rian listened and understood. He found the bike my wife loves.
Bike Gallery outfitted me in a safe way in the midst of the Covid crisis. The only thing I missed (because of the face masks) was the huge smiles that break out on technicians faces when they talk about their passion. Thanks!!
Very helpful & Knowledgeable staff. Many times they have serviced our bikes while we wait. Quality service.
Great customer service
Always a pleasure interacting with this team, and great to see how they have reacted within the current situation to keep customers happy and business running.
The Bike Gallery Lake Oswego was great at helping me ship my bike! They were helpful on-line as well as in the store! Thank you!!
Sterling was so incredibly helpful & did a fantastic job of educating me on the right bike/size for me. He went above and beyond for me & I so appreciate him! Zero pressure. Excellent customer service. Great prices!! I highly recommend the Bike Gallery!
Outstanding service and quality work. The guys and girls in the shop know their stuff and provide feedback and suggestions with no BS. Jonathan just helped me install a new DI2 package on my Madone. He broke the technology down, made it easy to understand, and got me on the road quickly. Best service Ive had in any bike shop in Portland. If you need work done, ask for Jonathan. Hes the man! Highly recommend.
Great experience at Bike Gallery! Ill get to the point:- They have a 30 day price protection thing where if an item goes on sale, you can get the sale price.- The salesperson was VERY knowledgeable and helpful about the key points of the bikes and explained the difference to laymen (like us) very clearly.- Even though it was apparent he was doing multiple jobs at same time (scheduling service, helping us try bikes, getting parts from stock - so a bit short handed out front) - he did a GREAT job juggling all of it, so none of us were waiting much!- You can take the bike on a test ride outside the store (theres an alleyway across street from store that was nice for this)- There is enough parking, for normal days at the store (no need for street parking)- One thing we noticed... a LOT of people (I mean there was a stream of people the entire time we were there) were bringing their bikes in for service... so they must know their stuff!Definitely our new go-to place for bicycles! Definitely prefer supporting this type of place instead of a big box store (e.g. Dicks Sporting Goods, Target, etc). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
This afternoon my wife and I purchased a sram force 22 front derailleur from the shop. On the drive home we were talking about how the price seemed to be a little bit more expensive than when wed been looking around at other local shops for the same derailleur. After checking the sram website we discovered that the bike gallery had overcharged us by $16 ($69.99 vs $54 on the sram website). After making the trek back over to the shop and asking if they would match Srams msrp for the part, Dave came back out and told us that theyd only take $15 off the part. Not wanting to be ripped off and support a place that wouldnt even sell the part for its actual price, we returned it and will source it from somewhere else.
I’m really happy with the service department here. They have always been super helpful and able to (in most cases) get my issue fixed while I wait. There is another local store in town and while the folks are nice and they have fancy bikes, they never have time for a quick adjustment, you have to leave your bike, and they nickel and dime you for every repair. I’ve been able to swing into LO Bike uGallery and had my stem swapped, or tires mounted or quick gear adjustment while I wait. They get it. Their high end selection is not what you’ll find at downtown shops but for standard stuff you need and great service from nice folks, you can’t go wrong. Recommended.
Complete rip off. Very expensive. Recommend looking for other more reasonably priced shops.
Quick expedient service with knowledgeable staff that is working through the Pandemic and ensuring new and old riders are taken care of!
I got one of my bikes here at a great price. I got a free water bottle along with the purchase. I was able to test ride the bike beforehand. Kind and friendly staff too! I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a bike. The only downside is the selection.
Great customer service! My first experience buying indoor cycling shoes. I’m a very happy customer!
They have outstanding repair service, custom wheel building, good selection of bikes, and all the right accessories available for sale at competitive prices.I came in to the Bike Gallery because I had a nonstandard upgrade request. I was wanting to install a 1 steer tube fork into my 1 1/8 frame using parts I had special ordered. The salesman and repair tech, Steve, carefully measured each part to ensure everything was a correct fit, and then completed the job perfectly in less than 24 hours.I am extremely impressed and very satisfied.
Appreciated that Bike Gallery was able to restore my 10-year old bike in less than 24-hours, given the possibility State of Oregon could make the decision that all non-essential businesses mayhave to close. Thank you!
Best staff, focuses customers when there excited. I really like staff. Very knowledgeable. Im professional biker Ive rode every big ride even tour de France. Ive raced with specialized as child and Im also very expert in tricks. Its hard often to find bike shops that want happiness. They like happy customers. They got really good deals everyone. Go see. Tell them wavy Dave sent you. Id work for these guys any day.
Use to be great but since the shut down they really dont want your buisness. Came in on a Saturday to buy a part and was asked what do you want? in a not customer service tone. I am switching to all internet now .
I thought my repair would require a lot more work ($$$) than it did. The mechanic was honest and went above and beyond to get my bike functioning perfectly. The staff is knowledgeable, personable, and professional and the work is flawless. I will definitely be using Lake Oswego Bike Gallery for any future service.
Super friendly staff and helpful. Even with all the COVID stuff going on.
Excellent experience
Great service!
Just needed a replacement rear cog for my road bike, they had a quality one and installed it quickly and I was back on the road. Friendly, fast service, and quality parts.
Steve was very helpful and gave me information about the bikes I was interested in. Every time I have gone into the store for assistance Ive been treated with respect and friendly service.
Awesome experience. Even though it was really busy I still felt like I got the help I needed. Great, friendly staff and good product selection.
Clean shop and knowledgeable staff. They recommended a less expensive safety check instead of a tune up for my sons bike when I brought it in.
Helpful, Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Competitive prices. Had a great experience buying a bike for my 8yr old daughter. We found the perfect bike for her & the staff gave her the confidence to ride. I will be going back soon to buy a new bike for myself!
Great value on their sales items. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly (Ryan is super patient with me), and the mechanics not only take great care of my bike, but guide me on how to do a lot of my own maintenance. Great group of people at BGLO.
Excellent repair service from Josh today. Made some hardware changes to the bike and got a brake service. Josh was friendly and extremely helpful. Ive purchased three bikes and many accessories from BG and have always received great service.
Ryan, Steve, and Tony are always willing to explain whats up with my bike. Just had a good experience w/ Steve explaining to me all about disc brakes: how to tell when the pads need replacing, how to replace them, and how to break them in. This is the kind of assistance I always get at the LO BG.
We appreciate the time and patience given us while purchasing shoes and cleats. It was a quick visit but an enjoyable one.
Great quality products at a reasonable price point and excellent customer service. I appreciate the care taken upon delivery of my new bike
Service was top-notch. Simply could not ask for a better experience. Thanks for helping me find exactly what I need every time I go in!
I took my bike in to have new brakes installed.I walked in during a fairly busy afternoon but was still met with courtesy and my questions were met with attentiveness. My bike was completed before promised, and I was given a full debrief on what work was done, and was offered instruction about how to operate my new equipment.Thank you Steve, for your attentiveness and enthusiasm in the work that you do.
I felt ignored in the past, but a most recent visit has made me change my review. I went in to purchase some brake pads and patch kit. The prices were fine but the service was great. Very welcoming place.
Im a little surprised by the negative reviews here, as my experience has always been a positive one. Even though I have never purchased a bike from them (though have probably bought a bikes worth of tubes and accessories over the years), theyve become my LBS because Ive consistently found them helpful, friendly and skillful. I generally wrench my familys bikes, but when I run into trouble or just have a question, theyre always helpful and friendly, often taking care of me on the spot. I wouldnt recommend them if youre looking for a deal on a jersey or something, but if you need a friendly wrench or sales advice this is a great shop.
Terrific staff. Been a customers here for over 20 years. Outstanding service department always has my back.
Everyone is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Even when they are super busy they make time to acknowledge and greet their customers.
I love this bike shop. They are so friendly, and they can always fix my bike quickly and return it to me in perfect condition.
We just purchased our second set of bikes at Bike Gallery in LO. Purchased Trek road bikes several years ago (life changing!) and just bought e-bikes a couple weeks ago (also life-changing.) We wanted to make sure we bought bikes powerful enough to get us around on our super-hilly neighborhood in West Linn and the staff at BG let us take bikes home overnight for a test drive. Great customer service! Thanks, BG!
Rian and his team went all out to resolve a long standing mechanical issue with my bike. I am so grateful for the help they provided. The bike has run perfectly ever since!I take all of my bikes to Bike Gallery Lake Oswego. Im very happy with their service.
Very helpful and always work to fit me in their schedule!
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Love Trek bikes!
Great service and reasonable prices. Top quality merchandise!
Excellent customer service, friendly and accommodating!
Great experience from start to finish and great customer service. Thank you.
Great guys focused on finding me the right bike shoe at the right price. Could not have made it easier....and they installed my SPD clips while i waited.
Excellent customer service! Quality products at a reasonable cost sold by a professional and courteous staff!
Good prices, good advice, very helpful, very nice.
Installed new components - fast turn around, knowledgeable staff, great experience
Wonderful customer service and the store stands by the products it sells!
My neighborhood BG, is the bomb! Not only are they skilled, friendly and knowledgeable, but the prices are way more than fair!
Went in to get a bike rack for my bike and brought my bike with me. Ask for help determining what rack to buy after I was shown the rack ask twice if it would work with my bike. The person I talk to assured me it would but never ask to see my bicycle or any questions about it. Got home and of course it didn’t work with my bicycle. Went to REI the first person I talked to asked if it had disk break showed me the correct rack ask to see my bike to make sure it would fit and offered to install it for me for 18 bucks. Now there is some service. The only reason to go to a bike shop instead of a department store is for knowledge and service. I got neither from the bike gallery even though I spent 250 buck on stuff for my bike.
