They follow the mask mandate, but yet they have a cashier where those plastic face guards. Which isnt a mask. The employees dont say hello to you, not a friendly store. Prices are good. Hopefully someday they will give better service.

Very clean well organized store, smaller than some other stores. Quality of produce and fruits is really great here. Young lady in the produce department so willing to help me even it interrupted her work. The young man at Customer service counter was equally attentive and efficient. Overall, I had a very nice experience at this location.

Went into lake Oswego to check out a park and stopped in here. MAN this store is super top notch!!!! Its beautiful inside and check out the wine section I was completely surprised by this store hands down.Also to those who wonder about cleanliness I give them a 10 outta 10.

Always a great experience for me here so many deals friendly staff and I can usually find what Im looking for if not the nearest staff of Safeway can get me where I need to find the items and be on my way thanks to all staff. Have you ever had the flu? Imagine that but in grocery store form. Customers have to check their brains at the door before entering. Its amazing how this store manages to never have that one thing youre looking for. Like seriously, Im in awe of this place and its ability to be terrible. I only end up here about once or twice a year and each time I am met with inevitable disappointment and frustration. Like at this point it really is my fault too. This place will test not only your patience, but your ability to function as a rational human being. It will cause you mental anguish and existential dread. It will make you question every decision youve made in your life, because deep down, you know theyve led you here. All the failures and missed opportunity, all have it has led you here; here to the worst grocery store in Lake Oswego. Got what I was looking for smoothly. Easy layout of the store to get items off your list. The only con is the checkout lines can be a bit long. Though Im not sure what they can do about that.Good store.

They had plenty of stock (until 6/27/21 hit) and employees were nice.

I witnessed a felony hit and run in the parking lot, but the license plate came back with no results and Safeway doesnt have any security cameras at the entrances(it was right in front of the entrance). If you know of a dark silver four-door Jeep with the OR license plate 70-72 please contact me or the police. The incident occurred January 6th, 2021.

The prices are not consistent and often high, and a Club Card is required for the low prices. Otherwise, great selection and groceries!

Typical grocery store with everything you need at a reasonable price.

Madness reigns at this grocery store. Inside, human beings scramble like beetles whose rock has been upended. Though the aisles are wide it is impossible to avoid physical contact with your fellow shoppers. It is a grotesque parody of the bazaar at Marrakech, as if dumb animals had been granted only the amount of sentience required to mock humanity. The aisles are not labeled properly. You must search for every item. The constant walking up and down causes a numbness that borders on profound despair. Your conscious mind registers merely annoyance, impatience. But on a cellular level, your body cries out in weariness. The fatigue you feel is a warning: millions of years of evolution trying to save you from becoming mired in the tar, from sinking into the warm blackness and ultimately being reclaimed by the earth itself. Bad store, no fun 0/10

This Safeway is a 3 minute walk from our home so we go here quite often only out of necessity, the store is fairly small but has everything you could need. Some employees are helpful and polite but most of them can come off pretty judgmental if you dont look like you belong in Lake Oswego.. I understand this area has a typical type of people who live and shop here but I am an honest hard working woman just like any other person who lives, works or shops there and would love to be treated as such. Some of their employees should consider treating people with more trust and respect until they have a legitimate reason not too. They judge people based on their look in this store and thats a shame. I try to avoid this Safeway specifically when possible.

This store makes shopping a pleasure, their deli is the best and the produce department looks like the farm is right next door. Visiting is always a nice getaway.

I only got a couple of items, and it was a good experience.

Its okay. I like that its clean and the cashiers are friendly. Be mentally prepared for long lines. It can be pretty busy on weekends. I dont know if their aisles are not well labeled or what, but I always spend too much time walking back and forth looking for items (relative to other grocery stores).

Once in a great while, everyone is bound to encounter a situation so heinous, so hideously vile, so devoid of goodness and light as to make one rethink all norms of civilised life. This is the feeling I have every time I am forced to visit this abyssal establishment. I enter each time with zero expectations and yet am still disappointed. Want a basket? Good luck. Looking for a specific item? They dont have it. Want a novel-length receipt? Yeah, theyll give you that. This store makes a mockery of humanity, transforming shoppers into twisted perversions of their previous selves. If you live in Lake Oswego and are regularly patronizing this store, you need to rethink your choices in life.

Smaller Safeway, good choices.

A little expensive, but it a conveniently located neighborhood store. As it is an older neighborhood grocery store, with aisles closer together, it may feel crowded at times, but so do the mega supermarkets with their spacious aisles.During the covid19 pandemic, and despite there being a requirement to wear a mask indoors in all Oregon counties, there are surprising number of entitled douchebag boomers going through the store without masks, and/or ignoring social distancing.The nature of the neighborhood means there are plenty of elderly and otherwise health compromised customers, but the L.O. boomers cant be bothered.Im not taking off the star for this really, I understand why it would be intimidating for a minimum wage 18 year old to confront these a-holes, and as a smaller store in an affluent neighborhood, I get why a manager might be inclined to not confront a local customer.

I shopped at Safeway Wednesday, April 8 at about 8:30 PM. As I loaded my groceries on the conveyor belt, the male cashier coughed into his hand and then proceeded to handle and scan my groceries. Throughout the checkout, he continued to openly cough without turning away or attempting to cover his cough in any way.Im angry at myself for not walking out and leaving the groceries behind.I complained to the manager the next day, but Im not confident anything will change with this particular cashier. I will not shop here again.

This store is open normal hours still. The staff working are helpful and kind. If you go, let them know they are appreciated for working during this time.

A great grocery store with a excellent selection of everything. They get seasonal foods that can be hard to find. I always find what Im looking for, the employees are friendly, they are quick to open more check out lines, lots of parking, and excellent home delivery.

Clean store, fresh produce, and nice staff. Only issue I had was trying to reach the low carb tortillas on sale. They were on a top shelf and not easily gotten. The dairy section had been picked over and items were not replenished or were on top shelf clear to the back and couldnt be reached.

Its a new grocery store in lake Oswego. Spacious parking lot. Has quite a bit selections and they have almost anything that I need from medicine, fruit, candies, vegetables, meat and seafood. Prices are pretty comparable to any other stores. Nice employees as well.

Cashier, Colleen was very attentive and helpful trying to help give me a store discount because my 2 Safeway Cards were at home and my old/new cell phones werent working and she offered a 3rd one I turned it down because I didnt want another one added to the pile so instead she gave me the store discount but the courtesy clerk was snapping his fingers at me rushing me holding out my bag as if I was taking too long to get my purse and Bible gathered back in my hands after buying a package of cookies for my lawyers office after snagging a few cookies from their fridge because I was hungry and desperate for something to snack on and a slice of a German chocolate cake for my friend, Reed while I asked for the snack bar for my purse.

Just your basic Safeway. Doesnt rate higher than 2.5 but thats not an option. Previous manager gone now so that makes it better! I prefer 365 down the street. Do the math and its less expensive!

A bit over priced, and never have enough checkout lanes open. If I wanted the wait, Id go to Walmart and save a few bucks. Do your self a favor, go to the neighborhood Walmart, youll end up waiting to check out all the same.

Shopping on 24 December, they had every cashier position open, and it was FASt checkout. Amazing.

Not good!They didnt have half of the items advertised in this weeks ads, literally half! Also, no one was around to ask any questions. I actually checked out when I was only half done with my shopping, because it was so frustrating. I went to this Safeway because it was more convenient, I usually go to Albertsons in L.O. and will go back there to get what I couldnt get, and finish my shopping. But definitely will not go to this Safeway again.

They will not cash legitimate checks given by employers if it is hand written by your employer. The training guy was nice but the established manager was not an ideal person to interact with.It had the official seal from the company on the top and is accepted at fred meyer without issue.

You desperately need self-checkout. The express lane is clogged with people who have nowhere to be. Many of them dont understand how the credit card machine works and they take forever. Ive got a thirty-minute lunch break and it takes half of that at the very least to get out your door AFTER Ive chosen my groceries. I regret every time I walk into your store. Unfortunately it appears that you NEVER respond to negative reviews, unlike most modern businesses, so I guess you dont care. Ill be doing everything I can to avoid shopping your store.

This is the worst Safeway I’ve ever been to. No matter the time or day there’s always a line. The cashiers are completely uninterested in speed or anyone else’s time. Seems that since they’re on the clock, no one else’s time is important either. I make a conscious effort to go out of my way to go to any other store. This should be shut down. It’s a joke.

This Safeway has the best doughnuts in the lower Portland area. Always look amazing and taste incredible.

The store is okay the staff is nice some of the cashiers are not quite up to speed on how some promotions work. So make sure you see things ring up correctly when there is some kind of a bargain. Recently I had a problem with the Safeway app and they said dont worry putting in your phone number in the system will make that come through on the promotion and only later did I realize it did not and the price difference was substantial. So FYI.

I really enjoy going to this Safeway. Its smaller than the other local Safeway. Both have friendly and helpful staff. Both have what I need. However I can get in an out sooner.

First in a field of one, basically.Old review: Are you hungry or in need of common household items? Do you have spendable money? Do you lack enough time, transportation, or willpower to visit, say, New Seasons, TJs, Costco, 365, or even Palisades Market? The nice people of Safeway would like a few minutes of your time.

Seems very clean. Seems like most emotes are professional. The Starbucks counter was the most professional.

Jane was very helpful and we above and beyond! Our office had a bulk order to place and they handled it over a simple phone call and had it ready that day! 10 stars overall!

The employee in the deli with a very friendly when we were there in the evening. He was very patient while we took our time to figure out what we wanted. Some people have noted this location is older and needs an update, but honestly it has been updated compared to how it was years ago and it looks fine to me. I cant speak for how the rest of the employees were, but the employee in the deli I dealt with was very friendly and so was the cashier who rang us up.

No self check out! But usually decent produce and quick service for meats or hot lunches.
