I reserved a space online for a move in date of January 30th. It was a special price and when I tried to pay for it online it wouldnt let me. When I called to pay for it over the phone it turns out the unit I had reserved was rented out from under me and they wouldnt honor the price I had reserved even though their website states the reservation holds the price at time of reservation. They wouldnt rent me another unit of the same size for the online special price. What is really bad is if I had turned up there in person on the 30th my unit would have been gone and I would have been stuck paying their higher price or trying to find another storage unit at the last minute. This is classic bait and switch, they tell you one price then say the unit isnt available then they try to get you to rent at a higher price. This is a shady way to do business and it has turned me off to Public Storage as a company. This line is directly from their small print:Reservation required to guarantee price. I had a reservation apparently their small print isnt binding. Very poor way to conduct business.

It takes something pretty exceptional to get me to review a business but my experience with public storage on state street in Lake Oswego over the last several years deserves more than I can express in this review. Crystal who manages the complex is always keeping us informed of any changes to our rent or facility so there are never any surprises. She has always looked out for us and suggested ways to save money as well as our backs. My business depends on its off site storage and having Crystal as our facility manager is like having another star employee on our team. Many thanks, and we look forward to working with you into the future!

This is a wonderful location! Kristel at the front desk is always great to work with. She always has a smile on her face and is patient with me when I have multiple questions. The location is convenient, clean and plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend.

There have been multiple break ins at this storage place. The owner/manager have done nothing to increase security. Started in March; someone we knew had their inside unit broken into. We have an outside unit. They broke the lock off and replaced it with their lock. Sometime after April 12. Took the manager over 3 days to get the burglars lock cut so we could see what was taken. Obviously theyd done nothing about the early March break ins so it just continues to happen. Find a more secure unit. Ask if there is a camera on the unit you rent. Ask what happens in case of break in. This is not a place for secure storage at this point. Maybe theyll fix the problem but doesnt seem that they are motivated to do so.

I came in needing some basic storage for a move, thinking I had everything, I was totally wrong. The beautiful lady there I believe her name is Kristel*, helped make sure I had everything for the move as far as packing supplies go and to ensure I had adequate storage for my belongings. She was very professional, helpful and always had a smile. I would reccomend this place to anyone who needs some good storage, great moving supplies and even more so a very friendly face to help you through it all.

My mother rented a storage space at this location and my personal experience with this Public Storage has been great.The units are clean, with easy access. The price for storage is very reasonable.To me, aside from a clean place to store personal items, it is important to like the person who you must deal with. I found Kristel to be courteous, kind and very willing to help with anything. Her demeanor is always warm and friendly.One day as I arrived, she had just locked the door and was leaving for a lunch break. I needed help with an issue and instead of telling me she was now on a lunch break, she unlocked the door and let me in with a smile. I had lost a receipt and she took the time to look up the receipt. I never felt rushed, and she kept a good attitude. Wow! How often does that happen?I would definitely recommend this location to anyone.

Kristel was amazing at finding me the PERFECT size and location unit. She took into consideration the type of move I’ll be making and suggested a size and found a unit that will be hassle free moving stuff into. She honored a special price I found online, she asked if I was in the military (which not many businesses do so thank you so much, and thank Kristel for her prior service!) She asked if I needed any other essentials like locks, boxes, tape and even offered trollies I could use to move my stuff with. Bless this woman and I am SO grateful I found this location. My experiences with this location and its manager, Kristel, were extremely positive. I had a storage locker there for two years and went by quite often. When I first contacted the office about renting a locker, I was struck by how friendly and helpful Kristel was, and all of my dealings with her thereafter were similar. She was always smiling and always responsive and helpful. I recently emptied my locker and moved out and again, in dealing with move-out issues, was I struck by how friendly Kristel was how easy she made the process.Ive rented storage lockers in other locations and dont recall any interaction with the managers at them or anything particularly positive about them, which is part of the reason why the Lake Oswego Public Storage and Kristel stand out in my mind.I would enthusiastically recommend this location to others.

Dec 1,2013. Discovered I had a water leak in my storage unit. Kristal suggested I transfer to another unit, She showed me a nice unit in a well lit area, sure do like those skylights, they help a lot. What makes them so nice, is, you dont have to turn the timer on to get to your unit, even when it is dreary and raining, like today.She was so efficient, made it quick and easy.I decided to go ahead and buy the lock she sells, they are very nice.This is my second review on Kristal and PS, but she sure deserves it. I rented a storage unit at this facility for short term storage. Amazingly, the reduced fee for the first month applied even though I was only planning to use the unit for one month. The people on the telephone and the facility manager, Kristel, were very helpful. Kristel showed me to the unit which was clean, dry and ready to use. Shed even put a lock on the door for me. I had a couple of questions over the next few days and Kristel was available, knowledgeable and patient. The only problem I encountered was that I could not find anyplace capable of making an extra key for the type of lock they sell.I recommend this business without reservation.

This Public Storage in Lake Oswego is very convenient for us. Were keeping a storage unitfor 6 months or so while were making the transition from selling to purchasing a home. Great access hours. User friendly. Clean facility. Alyssa showed us a few different sizes of units so we could settle on the appropriate size. She was very attentive, patient, very personable. We came back another day to do the paperwork for the unit. This time Kristal did the honors. Again quite personable, efficient, attentive. Great customer service. Wonderful people to work with. The staff was great. We got the unit we needed and easy access plus the staff assisted us in getting everything we needed. The only problem with this place is that it is hard to find. There needs to be a sign up on State St. My GPS told me that I had arrived at the location but since it cant be seen from the road when traveling north, I didnt see it and drove right by. I then had to turn around, go past it heading south (which is when I finally saw it) and turn around again to pull in to the driveway.

My Experience was friendly. Kristel was very nice. I have had my account for Four years now.She has no hesitation to find a good bargain on a storage unit for YOU.and what you can afford. I feel safe there. You can go there to get your stuff or stuff your stuff from 6am to 9pm.They have moving supplies and I like the disc shaped locks too.You can take care of the rent automatically from your account. no suprises, no BS.I like that. Easy!

We had checked with 2 other companies in town and couldnt get the size we needed and would have to pay extra for a too large space. We stopped in here and got just what we needed and got a new customer deal. Nice facility.

This is a great place to buy supplies for moving. I bought boxes and because I bought a lot, I got them for half price! I was also told that I can bring back any extra boxes I have for a refund. Very good!

Sadly, I have to give Public Storage a poor rating. I have rented a large space from them for 10 months. I paid via auto pay every month. The unit was expensive-over 300.00 a month. Service was generally good until 5/20. I moved most of my unit items out of town. I left a few items and took the lock to swap with another unit we were renting. Upon return a week later, I found that they rented it the next day to someone else!!!! What!!!! Im paid through 6/1 and had no intention of giving it up. The Manager said they have people leave in the middle of the night all the time and have the right to rent it out. My contract says I have to give 2 days notice and trust me, if I were late to pay, they have severe remedies. In this case, I did not give notice, I was paid in full for 12 more days and had no intention of leaving and they rented it ( with my garden art in it) to someone else. They did not try to call me, email me or send a letter. Nope, they just rented it 12 hours later. Terrible Terrible Terrible!!!Will not do business with them ever again!

This business is on par with the local competition as far as convenience and amenities, but what stood out for us was the first rate service we received from Tess. She seems to really care about her job and the customers.

Not too much different than any other storage place. The prices are comparable, the people are nice enough and its a good experience. They do have the deal where your rent is a $1, which is a good deal. If its near where you live I would think it would be a good choice.

Our unit was damaged, by water. We had purchased the ins, however with more than $4000 worth of damage, the ins. Is paying out less than half of what it will cost to replace these items. The pay out wont even cover 2 of the items, that were damaged and HAVE to be replaced. 1 being a mattress that was covered in mold, from the water and the 2nd was a TV that costs double what they want to pay. Those are not the only 2 items that were damaged. How am I suppose to replace anything when they dont pay fair market value?? Would not recommend this storage or the ins. Coverage.

Was only here a short time but during that time I got top notch service. Calls about bills I forgot to pay before late fees etc... The location is horrible, but the service alone is enough for 5 stars. The unit I had worked great.

Except for being hard to find, this is a nice place if you need storage. Its on hwy 43, but its hidden from the road, so it can be a little difficult to locate. Prices are competitive and overall it seems a good choice.

I was very behind on my rent at this location- but right before they were going to auction off my things I paid in full plus late fees. I believe this surprised Krystal. When I went in to get some things- she went out of protocol and ran up to my storage unit to unlock the key they had secured. I immediately thought “shouldnt i be able to go up there with you?” But she ran right up the outside stairs to my storage unit. I pulled my car into the back, still thinking things were weird, and then went up to my storage unit. I opened the unit and found over 10 pairs of shoes stolen. Shoes you might think whatever- but these included 5 pairs of Jessica Simpson high heels that I’ve had for a while and taken care of. Someone stole ALL my shoes out of the locker. When confronting Krystal she immediately got defensive and told me to leave the office. I called her supervisor Tedd Hirsch who said she didn’t follow protocol as the person renting the unit is supposed to go up with the manager on site- see them unlike the door and there’s even supposed to be another seal on the door as well. None of that occurred. This is my first Public Storage experience and in a couple months will be my last. I hope Krystal likes wearing my shoes or got some good money for them at least. #worstpublicstorageever

This location is not easy to find, but its worth looking for. We were treated very politely by the manager, who was attentive to our needs and desire to save as much money as possible.

I had some bad experiences renting storage from other companies, but not public. They have quality spots to keep your valuables and friendly people to help you. Really a good place!

I only needed a small (5ft x 10ft) space, but everywhere I checked only had larger, more expensive spaces for rent. I was able to get the smaller size here and its actually the closest to my business, so its the most convenient.

The girls here have always treated us right. We moved in over a year ago and have had no problems whatsoever, other a small rent increase.

The best and friendliest customer service is at this location. Nice people, nice, clean facility!
