United/Browning Moving and Storage handled our move from Florida to another state.The estimate was reasonable.The actual move was handled very professional with over the top communications from the driver.Everything was wrapped and packed very carefully.The team we had was all about getting the job done, was very professional and courteous.The team that I had was Rick as the driver/team leader.Ask for him and the team he picks to use for your move.

Very accommodating but not very prepared for outside business. Gentleman that helped me tried VERY hard but I was not impressed with the lack of prep.The establishment needs a different level of management.

Michelle walked me through the estimate process, answered my questions many times over, and made me feel like a valuable customer. Allen and the crew in Florida did a fantastic job hauling out the boxes and packing the truck. There were no smashed boxes or chipped corners. Allen and the guys were professional and polite. They didn’t mess around. The crew on this end in Tennessee worked like a dream team. Everyone was in sync and the unloading process was quick. Allen directed everyone and helped out loading and unloading. He was in control and it worked. I’m extremely satisfied with the total process.

Browning was contracted by my mover in Illinois to transport items. Jennifer, Chris B and Terrance were absolutely awesome! They packed and moved everything in amazing time. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Tim Day. Even with the highest expectations for a professional mover, Tim managed to exceed those expectations. I needed to locally move from house to house in a hurry, but kept having issues with closing and knowing exactly when I would need to move. Everyone I spoke to was patient and helpful. When the time came that I was able to move, Billy, Chris B, and Darius did an amazing job. All of the heavy furniture made it up the stairs without a nick or scuff on the walls, floors, or furniture. I was amazed with how much work they were able to do with such a limited time. Not only were they careful and effective movers, they were also a joy to be around and really helped take some of the stress out of the situation.

Showed up with a vehicle unable to handle our driveway incline. Salesman error or scheduler. Significant extension of loading time. Insufficient manpower at unloading. Significant extension of unloading time. Lost hardware and pump for Sleep Number bed. Finally located after several hours in unlabeled and unnumbered box (packed by them). Damaged the finish on one item. The furniture pad they used had packing tape from a previous load inside and during storage it attached itself to the finish. Then Browning denied our claim. Said it was a manufacturing defect. The item is about 10 years old and never exhibited a finish problem before. Areas not impacted by the tape remain fine. And I had purchased Full Value Protection coverage.I would never recommend after this experience. This was our 17th move so I have had experience with many other moving companies, so did not have unreasonable expectations.

Amy sourced the boxes and sizes we would need for our move and loaded them onto my truck along with tape and wrapping and padded paper. I recently moved from a two story 1,400 sq ft townhouse into a 3/2 2,400 sq ft house. Browning was easy to work with and had multiple team members working with me to assure I had everything I needed to complete the move. The virtual tour over the phone made it super easy to do so that no one had to come to my home to see everything that was being moved, which was nice because of my work schedule.The movers were very professional and nice and did everything to assure things were handled carefully and they wrapped and padded things I didnt even think needed it. But they over protected to assure no damage was done.I will say moving with Browning made life a lot easier and took some much needed stress off of my move. I really appreciate everything and therefore certainly will always get my business.

I try to be lenient with reviews, but Browning Moving and Storage was a disaster. Foremost, it took around a week for them to move us from South Carolina to Florida. Having dealt with the moving industry before, I knew this would likely happen, but atop the lengthy move, we dealt with massive destruction with our shipped items.Foremost, Browning sent an estimator to our house who admonished against our packaging on our own. We partly took that advice over insurance issues and instead trusted the contractors associated with Browning. What a disaster. We lost irreplaceable one-of-a-kind original glass artwork to their inconsideration atop many other items. We had thousands of dollars in damages from our move, items packaged hap-hazardly, fragile art just tossed atop furniture. It was a mess.After the fact, Browning did work with us to resolve the damages and losses. They didnt contest such and did work well to find ways to make things right; I respect that and do add a star to the review for that.Unfortunately, my experience with Browning (and United Van Lines) was awful. Atop the poor performance, they over-quoted my move. Initially, they quoted a barely 1,000 sqft apartment as needing north of $7,000 for a move. But, they then showered on discounts and the sort... I still feel like they took advantage of the fact I had to use their service. Regardless, I wont be using United Van Lines again this lifetime. Im sorry for a negative review, but my experience with Browning was awful.

I worked with Browning Moving & Storage for a move from Tampa to Philadelphia, and was extremely satisfied.I used them for packing services, as well as shipping services. From sales (Ed Fahner) to the move coordinator (April Snow), to the packing services (Marco/Lisbeth), to the shipping team (James Colebrook), I had a fantastic experience. April coordinated all services for me and everyone showed up on time for each step of the process. I was kept updated at each step of the process and all of my questions were answered in a very timely manner. James/April ensured that everything was set for a city delivery, including using a smaller shuttle truck and coordinating parking for the day with the city. There were no surprises from a cost perspective and everything made it on time and in one piece.Moving is always stressful, and especially moving at this time, but the entire Browning Moving & Storage Team helped to make this experience as stress free as possible!

April has always been very helpful when scheduling our requests. Brandon, Darius and Ricardo moved several heavy fire proof file cabs very carefully and efficiently and also helped reorganize three different offices. Santana and Yaneriz were amazingly fast and helpful as we shuffled offices around. Omar led a crew that carefully moved a truck full of furniture from the office to different storage units.

My wife and I moved with Browning on several occasions. The crews we have dealt with have all been courteous, respectable and efficient. Browning Moving did a great job on each move (weve had about 3 so far). Arrived on time for each move, even completed the job a little sooner than we thought. We worried about an antique curved glass cabinet, we mentioned our concerns to the crew and they took extra care in padding and wrapping. They told us not to worry (easier said than done), we should have listened to them though. They padded the inside, the outside, then hand carried this item to the truck and inside our new home, they unwrapped it – it arrived safe and sound! They have now moved this same cabinet 3 times for us and its been handled properly with each move with no damage. Weve had several different crews, dont remember all their names but will mention as many as we can remember - Curtis, Brent, Hogans, Manny, Mahadee, Devin, Sherman, Ramos.Thank you team Browning!

Let me start off by saying this rating is based on the incredible movers and packers that we had! The driver on the other hand I would rate him zero stars if possible. His name was Dave. I am barely 5 foot tall this man aggressively stood in my face and yelled at me in my kitchen when I was simply trying to ask questions. He marked every bit of my furniture either broken or soiled which made absolutely zero sense considering my furniture was two weeks old and most of my clothes still had tags on it. This was a way of covering Himself in case things got damaged in transit. We did a military move for the first time and he was by far the worst experience possible. When you’re moving your entire life for the first time completely across the country you hope and pray that everything goes smoothly. He had me gripped with fear and was completely unprofessional.Do you not want to dwell on the negative! If you were moving and using this company I would 100% suggest that you request Omar, Willie, and Luis! They were incredible! They were kind, patient, thorough, and anything that I was unfamiliar with or had a question about they took their time to explain everything to me and how the process was going to pan out. They were incredible. And I am happy to note that because of them and their extreme care that they took packing if you were moving and using this company I would 100% suggest that you request Omar, Willie, and Luis! I had a horrible moving experience and would not recommend Browning Moving & Storage. If I could rate zero stars, I would. What should have been an easy 4 hour load took 10 hours. Due to the delays, I actually had to leave before the crew, which didn’t put me at my destination until after midnight. The loader fell ill with heat exhaustion due to the driver taking 5 hours to inventory, since he was the only one moving boxes in the heat. (This process should have taken no more than 1.5 hours.) The driver made frequent phone calls to his wife and was very slow, until his partner fell ill and couldn’t work anymore. I had my pup to look after (which they spent time playing with and filming instead of working), and then I had to babysit the one who fell ill until he could be picked up. My vehicle was full and running for 5 hours, because when I loaded it they said they would only be another hour... The coordinator and GM offered a minuscule customer service refund, compared to the price I paid for the move, and then never even sent it. No replies to my follow up emails, no apologies.They got paid and that was the end of it. No concern for the stressful day that shouldn’t have been (I have moved numerous times over the years and I have never ever had an experience come close to this debacle), and no concern for the major inconvenience it caused me. Bottom line: This company has no concern for their customers. I do not recommend and will never use their services again.

Unreliable, unprepared, careless, and undependable are some of the adjectives that come to mind. I do not recommend hiring this company as the movers were sloppy, rushed through out the process, damaged many of our items, and the office staff was unfriendly. There are other competent movers out there and I recommend not falling for their “low” price/estimate. In fact, just over three years ago we moved to Tampa from Palm Beach County and not a single item was damaged or was missing. Below is a brief.Ray was the estimator who followed up on his commitments and he assured me “we’ll take good care of you”. He had committed to delivering wardrobes a day in advance of the move and when I contacted Wendy Gregory (moving coordinator), she simply dismissed my request of delivering the wardrobes a day in advance stating “I was not aware of delivering wardrobes a day before and after consulting with our local dispatch, we do not have the availability to bring those out until Friday [the day of the move]”. Thereafter, I contacted Ray who delivered the wardrobes as promised. Wendy, throughout the move and after, was very uncooperative and seem to dismiss all requests.The movers were: Kenny, Merv and Joel, apparently the best team! The move was scheduled to start at 10:00 AM but the day before the move, I got an email from Wendy that the movers will arrive between 9:00 – 11:00 AM, completely disregarding the agreed upon schedule and inspite of my advising that my building strictly enforces elevator reservation schedule. I contacted Ray and he arranged for the moving team to arrive at 10:00 AM. Kenny worked for about an hour and left to unload another truck the movers were scheduled to unload before arriving and get a replacement truck for moving. Consequently, we had only two individuals pack our items, perhaps that would explain some of the damage to our articles.Before the packing started, I advised them that our furniture is delicate and needs to be handled carefully and I was assured they know what they are doing and I do not need to worry about the move. Several pieces of our furniture (dresser, night stands, coffee tables, to name a few) were damaged as the packing was poor. In addition, the movers did not handle household items carefully. For example, our mattress was placed on the floor near the elevator; I had to tell the movers to put the mattress on a blanket.During the packing, Joel constantly complained about back/neck pain due to an accident. If he was not fit, he should not have been sent. He was not a part of the delivery team and was replaced by Greg.The dining table glass was to be “crated”, and we were charged for it, but the movers did not crate it and Wendy, of course, declined to provide any refund. Evidently, what is written in the estimate does not mean they are committed to it.We had a heavy item and the movers were not prepared to move it as they did not have the right equipment. Ray had committed to placing a carpet on the floor to move this specific item but it was not done during packing or delivering. In fact, during the delivery, Greg, who replaced Joel at the delivery location, snapped at my wife when she asked them to place a carpet when moving the heavy item.Our bed was installed swiftly. After sleeping on it for the first night, I realized it was unstable. Subsequently, I found slats in the King bed were improperly installed and not secured to the bed frame. I also discovered that the bed spring’s cover was torn.At the delivery location we had reserved the elevator from 9:00 AM to Noon and even though the agreement was to start delivering at 9:00 AM, the movers showed up at 10:00 AM in spite of me reminding them to be present at 9:00 AM.We had purchased “full value protection” with zero deductible and after three months we received a check for repairs. Now getting repairs done is our problem and Browning moving has no warranty or responsibility.

Erin, our contact in the office kept us completely informed and was very helpful. The two gentlemen who packed the truck and offloaded everything was courteous and professional. They just moved me to Rochester, NY. Worse move ever. Shelves missing from a bookcase, lampshades crushed, damaged a nightstand while they delivered it, and I had to wait 2 weeks for them to deliver my furniture. The amount they charged was obscene considering the fact I packed everything. They had to pack some pictures on the wall, a floor lamp, shrink wrap furniture, roll up three rugs and load the truck. I could have and should have used ABF for about a 3rd of the cost. I used Browning for two previous moves and they said they would give me a discount which did not happen. They wanted me to file a claim for the damaged items I told them no because it would only be more aggrevation than it was worth. Easier to buy new items.While appreciate the response from the owner I would like to point out I am not working with Lori--the who contacted me was Lora. I informed Lora I will not be filing a claim. My new lampshades will arrive in a couple of days from Amazon.

Browning Moving exceeded our expectations. We were stressed trying to figure out how we were going to make it all happen in a short period of time and over the holidays. April handled everything from Florida. She took the necessary time to listen and learn more about our family. We had paintings that required special crating and handling. She made it happen. Our special needs daughter had passed away and we were nervous about transporting her things. They sent a driver named Richard whom also lost his special needs daughter and when he arrived and started talking to me I knew our tangible memories of her were carried with kit gloves and in his heart. Amazing a company would care enough about their customers to not only provide a professional move but to do it with a loving heart. I was very impressed with the staff that packed, loaded, moved, and unloaded my household (two hours away). They were very professional and handled everything with the utmost care.

I recently accepted a job at University of South Florida and moved from Baltimore to Tampa. From the very first conversation I had with April from Browning to the very last, my experience with Browning has been nothing but incredible. My move from Baltimore to Tampa went great. My driver David was scheduled in the middle of a snow storm but that didn’t stop him from keeping to the schedule. He was warm, friendly, and very helpful. I had never moved long distance before and working with him and April put all of my fears to rest. When I got to Tampa I had an issue with my apartment and had to move the delivery back a day- no problem for Browning, they instantly accommodated this. My move into the apartment went smooth the next morning again with David and April’s wonderful help. Here is where the story gets interesting. Just 3 days into living in my new apartment I was experiencing an extreme bug infestation which wasn’t apparent until AFTER I had unpacked everything. Needless to say I could not stay in this apartment. Not knowing anyone in the area my first thought was to call David who had been so kind to me. David got in touch with April and had me moved to a new apartment just a few days after that. I cannot say enough good things about Browning. I know it is typically called “customer service” but with Browning it has been more like “customer care”. I sincerely feel like they “care” about me. They wouldnt have helped me so much if they didnt. If you are considering a moving company- this should be the one.

My husband and I recently moved from Madison, WI to Gainesville, FL. All communications with April from Browning were a wonderful experience and she always followed up after each step of the moving process to see if we were happy customers. Our move could not have gone any smoother. Our driver and head of the moving team, Jay, was super organized, friendly, and very helpful. Both of Jays teams on WI and FL sides were awesome and fast and all our items arrived in pristine condition. Two small items were left in the truck after we got to FL (we didnt even miss them) and were delivered a couple of days later.We cannot say enough good things about Browning and after working in customer service myself for many years, I was more than impressed. We highly recommend Browning!

Movers arrived when expected and were professional and did not waste time.

Worst moving company ever. No basic communication what so ever, took 10 hrs just to pack 2 BHK apt, driver didnt bring tools on the day of move to disassemble furniture, and the delivery driver was the RUDEST person ever. They didnt want to assemble/disassemble furniture despite paying full and HIGH price for it. DO NOT USE THEM OO THEY WILL MAKE YOUR MOVE STRESSFUL THAN IT ALREADY IS.

Prompt and great service, told us when the furniture and boxes would be picked up and delivered and they were right on.

Over the last two weeks my wife and I replaced the floors in our home in Lakeland. Browning Moving and Storage sent a three person crew out to our home to help us move all our belongings and furniture into pods while the floors were being done .After the floors were complete the same crew returned and moved everything back into our home once again. They did an incredible job, were extremely professional, and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this group to help any moving needs you may have. The crew of three men was headed by Brent and two other gentlemen. Lewis was one and an African American man whos name escapes me. They were extremely careful and had a great deal of patience. I give these folks much applause and thank them greatly for a wonderful job.

We moved from Florida to Virginia. The driver quit and left the truck in Georgia. Two days later they got a driver to finish the delivery. They scratched and broke antiques, and items are missing. We had 4/5 of the load and some one else had the other 1/5. They started to move the other persons stuff into our house until we told them it wasnt ours. Though we were in constant contact with them, they claimed no responsibility, including Pam Mueller, their Corporate fall gal. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They lie. They dodge responsibility. They have no problem taking your money. Oh, and they hire temps from Labor Force. Not professional movers that you are paying for.

I had a terrible experience with Browning Moving and Storage in Lakeland, Florida. They wrecked my furniture and will not accept responsibility. I had a box clearly marked on several sides CLEANING SUPPLIES. They moved it anyway. They must have put that box right on top of my server and piled everything on top. They had 4 families furniture stuffed and piled high in that truck. No wonder more of my furniture wasnt damaged!What bothers me most about this is that they wont accept responsibility. When I filed a claim with the BBB, their response was, I should have filed the claim against United because it was an interstate move and I was responsible because I packed the boxes.Could their people not read and see CLEANING SUPPLIES?Bad business.But, thank you Pam Mueller for trying to make things right.THIS IS THE COMPANIES MOST RECENT RESPONSE TO MY COMPLAINT:On September 21, 2012, the business provided the following information:The customer mentioned the box was marked cleaning supplies which was not to go but it is the customers responsibility to remove boxes and items from the area/house prior to the driver loads. It is also the customers responsibility to complete a final check to make sure the driver loaded the correct items. The customer signs the inventories to certify that all items loaded are correct. Again this moved under Interstate authority and should be under United Van Lines and not Browning Moving & Storage and should be removed immediately. The complaint should not remain on Uniteds record either due to the actions of the customer.DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A COMPANY YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH?THEY ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILITY!They just sent me a check for $95 to replace my chair that they wrecked, but still will not accept responsibility for the server.
